Show Opener: Interview with the NEW LAW Loser Champion!

"Are you serious?! Why do I have to interview her!?"

"Miss Alan. There's no one else available. It should only take a moment. Someone has to commemorate the crowning of a new Loser's Champion!"

"Yeah and SOMEONE doesn't have to be me! Ugghhhh!!! You're lucky there's a pay raise that comes with this or I'd have walked out, I swear to you! An in-ring interview with Ossi Shamar??! Have you seen how uppity she gets on a live mic!? Ugh, I'm so not looking forward to this!"

Backstage, the famed LAW interviewer was arguing with the staff. It had been clear that she had been tasked with interviewing new Loser's Champion Ossi Shamar on Ossi's first appearance as "champ".

What Lexy didn't know, however, was that this tirade of complaints of her was being recorded and broadcast on the big screen in the arena for all to see! Her head slowly turned to the camera.

"A-are you filming this?! This is like, the pre-preshow! The undercard doesn't start for at least an hour or so! I'm pretty sure there's no one in the stands to even see this! I know the concessions stands aren't up yet! I wanted to fetch snacks for Rose! So I checked!" Lexy moved in and thrust her hand in front of the camera. She hid herself and the suited gentleman who was giving her the news. But she soon abandoned the effort dropping her hand as she facepalmed with frustration. It took a moment for the hostess to collect herself. She let out a deep sigh.

"Okay, okay, okay, it's fine! Everything's fine! This segment will be a footnote compared to the laundry list of great things that will happen this pay-per-view! No one's watching! I bet most of the undercard girls haven't even shown up yet! Ossi herself might not show! I'm just gonna go out there and get this over with!" The feed cut out as Lexy steeled herself. It would only be a matter of seconds before Alan made her way into the arena!

There was no entrance music. As the green-haired gal made her way for the ring, she looked around with her together over her eyes. There was hardly anyone in the crowd. No one at the commentator's table. You would think this was more a rehearsal and less any televised segment from one of, if not the biggest wrestling promotions in the world!

Lexy climbed the steel steps with a microphone in hand. The lone cameraman handed her one as she worked her way towards entering the ring. The interviewer/part-time wrestler rolled her eyes as she took in the sight. The vibe, ambiance, and overall expectations here were even more pathetic and lackluster than things had been during Holly Matheson's time at the bottom of the barrel! Still, Lexy had a job to do. She inhaled deeply and audibly before bringing herself to speak in an attempt to summon the infamous new Loser Champ to the ring!

"Ladies and Gentlemen!

-"Er, I guess lady and gentleman is more like it, there's practically no one here...."-

"Anyways! Please join me in welcoming our NEW LAW Loser Champion! Following her defeat at the hands of Holly Matheson at Fight The LAW, Ossi Shamar is now the new face of rock bottom here at our good wrestling company!"

"So Ossi, why don'tcha come on out and share your thoughts with the world! Like, ten percent of them will rewind the recording of this later to watch your interview, maybe! So come on out and make it count!"

Alan would motion towards the entrance ramp in anticipation of her interviewee's arrival! She wore a smile on her face, though her dismay was plain to see past that cheery expression if you looked closely. This live in-ring interview with the Loser Champ was already shaping up to be something else! And Ossi hadn't even arrived yet!

Ossi could not believe it had come to this. The Loser's Champ. The lowest of the low. The laughing stock of the entire league.

It was her.

She waited petulantly back stage, now being forced to sit through this insufferable interview, to put herself out into the light to let all these fools revel in her failure. She scowled, planting her hands on her hips. The only thing that might make this remotely barrable was the fact that not that many people were here yet. This was merely the opening interview for the PPV. She had to strut herself out there in full wrestling regalia no less - clad in the green gold belly top and briefs, along with match boots and gloves. The attire that was now synonymous with LAW's biggest loser.

She heard the voice on the interviewer calling her out with that insufferable introduction and Ossi felt her body stiffen angrily. She had half a mind to knock the words out of the impertinent bimbo's mouth. How dare she speak of a daughter of Shamar in such a way! But then the attendants beckoned her onward, forcing her out into the light.

The Syrian beauty emerged to a scattered chorus of mocking jeers, cat calls and wolf-whistles that brought blood rushing to her cheeks. Keeping her head held high, she walked down the ramp as regally as she could, ignoring the crowd as she marched to the ring to join Lexi Alan, glowering at the pixie of an interviewer.

She stopped in front of Lexi, hands on hips as she stared the other woman down.

"Well, here I am, you insufferable little snipe!" Ossi snapped primly, waving a dismissive hand to the interviewer. "Go ahead, ask your inane questions and let's get this over with. I wouldn't want to keep you from your other oh-so-important work!"

A small chorus of "oooohhhhs" greeted Ossi's catty manner as she made her dismissive assessment of the interviewer. Loser Champion or not, Ossi Shamar had lost none of her self assured notions of status!

Here she was. The interviewee that Lexy had unfortunately been saddled with.

Ossi sported her usual wrestling gear. Green and gold trunks, kneepads, gloves boots, and a top that all matched. She certainly looked the part of wrestler, but the infographics on the big screen that accompanied her entrance certainly told the rest of the story. The 25+ losses with only 1 win to her name made it such you could be sure that the few positive reactions coming from the crowd were those of fans that enjoyed seeing Ossi do what she's often done during her time at LAW: lose.

Though no setback or loss in her wrestling career seemed to humble her before and after the bells of her matches! Shamar brushed off the many fans that booed and made jokes at her expense. The lesser number of people in the audience at this time made it all quite audible but still, the Syrian elitist stood tall.

Ossi entered the ring and joined Lexy. She confronted the beloved LAW hostess with a dismissive tone and attitude of superiority, waving the greenette off like she was the one annoying Ossi with this task and not LAW management in general.

"My work's a lot more important than yours. But let's not go there, "champ"." Alan would say through clenched teeth in a hurried/passive-aggressive tone.

Lexy didn't want to belabor this point. She realized that even if Ossi was now at the bottom of the barrel, seeking confrontation with her was unwise. Lexy refocused and recalled that this was supposed to be a largely inconsequential pre-show segment of this PPV! An Opener for the undercard, long before the real show even got started! She clenched her microphone with one hand and raised her palm with the other in an effort to calm any nerves she might have struck with her comment.

"Sorry, sorry! Let's start over shall we!"

"I'm here to help the many Ossi fans in attendance and LAW fans around the world get up to speed with the latest happenings of our own Ossi Shamar! Ossi! Whether we dance around it or not, the fact is that it was you that broke Holly Matheson's, the previous loser champ's long-standing losing streak to become the new Loser Champion."

"You didn't want to waste time with inane little questions, right? So let's skip the softballs. You're here. You ARE The queen of Losers not just in this company, but in ALL of the wrestling industry in general. How does Ossi Shamar plan to bounce back from this?" Lexy would finish before turning her microphone to Ossi.

Ossi listened with growing annoyance to Lexi's 'interviewing' as the other woman addressed her, clearly less than pleased to have been delegated an interview with the Loser's Champ. But Ossi sizzled at the disrespect. If she was out here being interviewed she would be treated properly, no matter the numbers on her less-than-impressive record.

"You will not refer to me as Queen of the Losers, you insolent brat!" Ossi snapped primly, raising her chin and looking down her nose at the interviewer, doing her best to maintain her imperious demeanour despite the setbacks she had experienced. "And as for bouncing back, it will not be long. It was a series of unfortunate events, not helped by and your promoters deliberately scheduling me matches that were simply unfair!"

She was almost able to believe her excuses too as they tumbled from her mouth. She fixed Lexy with a glare and smirk crossed her face.

"Besides, as if you are one to criticise my record! You'd be a better fit for this belt, Ms Alan. I've seen your match reports!" A sense of smugness filled Ossi as she attempted to turn the tables on the interviewer, not wishing to discuss her own dismal conduct in the ring a second longer than necessary. Another "OOOOOOHHH" chorused from the crowd in response to the Arab beauty's insult and she waited expectantly to hear Lexy's response to that!

Lexy was normally wary of the possibility of her interviews going awry. The act of guests turning their frustrations and grievances against the hostess was not an uncommon occurrence! But interviewing a woman who had managed to hit a new low, interviewing the newly crowned LAW Loser Champion, interviewing Ossi Shamar let the perky greenette put some of her fears at ease.

When Ossi snapped at Lexy and demanded that she not be referred to as the queen of losers, Lexy shrugged and glanced at the cameras with her eyes half-open. The cocky smirk on the interviewer's face screamed "well, if the shoe fits". It wouldn't be long before she brought her attention and the microphone back towards Ossi.

No doubt Ossi's initial reaction made for some good ratings. But the Syrian elitist would soon burst Alan's bubble by turning the attention and the spotlight on another viable contender for the black mark that was the loser title! Lexy Alan, herself?!

"W-W-W-Wha?!?" Lexy stammered as she fumbled with the microphone. The sounds of her struggling and only barely succeeding in catching it reverberated through the arena alongside the audible "OOOHHHH" from the fans in attendance!

"ahem..." Lexy would clear her throat and take a second to regain her composure. The curvy, cute interviewer would try to sound confident and collected as she began to try to deflect!

"Ah yes, my match reports! As you know well, I'm sure, having the connections you do, I'm merely a part-time wrestler for LAW! I devote most of my attention to the backstage efforts at this wonderful wrestling company of ours! I collate and curate many of our wrestler's match reports, myself! And having seen mine, I'm sure you'll agree that they're utterly uninteresting!" Lexy began, in a desperate attempt to sway Ossi.

"Surely there are women that are much better marks for your comeback and your meteoric rise that you so rightfully deserve, Miss Shamar! Women like Sayako Jun! Micaiah Wilson! Bethany Hunter! Suzume Sheska! And more!" Lexy held her palm out as she gestured and tried to do away with the prospect of Ossi coming after her.

"Surely an esteemed heiress like yourself could aspire to do the impossible and stick the title on a bigger LAW name! Surely, you have agendas and goals that are too great to be wasting your time on a lowly part-time wrestler like myself?" Though Lexy tried to speak calmly, she grit her teeth at the end.

"Let's just get back to the interview, shall we?" Lexy would say as she pulled some index cards from her back pocket and shuffled through them hurriedly, desperately trying to find ideas for her next question!

Ossi took a small moment of satisfaction in the flustered look that passed across the interviewer's face, smirking as the pixie tried to regain her composure after the fans reacted to Ossi's cutting remark. She rolled her eyes as Lexi began desperately to deflect the question, referencing other wrestlers with less than stellar records.

On the surface, Ossi knew the interviewer had a point, that picking on a part-timer was hardly a fair exchange, but right now being fair was hardly Ossi's focus. She wondered if she could goad this fool into facing her in the ring. Maybe she could offload this belt here and now? A short reign for her supposed queendom? Given how her LAW career had gone thus far she didn't want to risk fighting another true wrestler. Someone like Lexi offered her the out she needed...

"Well none of them are standing in this ring insulting me with their incessant prattling!" Ossi sneered. "I ought to slap those words from your pathetic mouth." Huffing, she folder her arms and took a step forward, staring eye to eye with the interviewer, cheeks red with a mix of anger and embarrassment at being subjected to such a grilling.

"Go ahead then," she hissed. "Ask your question. Though why I should be made to give my time of day to a true 'Queen of the Losers' is beyond my understanding!"

Ossi was visibly displeased but she seemed to be somewhat less irate, at least. Lexy's loss of composure seemed to bring the Loser Champ and the fans in attendance enough laughs to take their minds off the idea of Lexy's own abysmal record and her slew of losses!

"Phew!" Alan breathes an audible sigh of relief as the tone and focus seemed to shift. Little did she know, Ossi already had designs on the idea of using Lexy as an easy means to quickly rid herself of the belt and have the shortest Loser Championship Reign in LAW history! A feat that perhaps Shamar could use as proof of this mishap of a defaming title reign being a "fluke".

"Y-yes, next question! Of course!" Lexy seemed to stutter. The truth was she was getting flustered. Each verbal jab from Ossi was slowly getting under her skin. Even if it was just a small crowd and most LAW fans wouldn't see this silly pre-show, she was still being chastised in front of fans on international television, by the Loser Champion of all people? Even Lexy Alan, a part-time wrestler with experience against many capable LAW wrestlers couldn't take that sitting down! She resolved to respond in kind in the most professional way that she could!

"Next question! Miss Shamar, an optimist would say that hitting the bottom of the ranks means that you could only go up from here, but that.... isn't entirely true, is it? What are you going to do if your reign outlasts Karin's.....or Holly's?" Lexy speculated callously to the reigning "champion's" face!

"You can't deny that's a possibility, can't you? I mean, who knows how many defenses you'll have!" Alan's nervous tone vanished completely! A tone of condescension and insincere concern began to peer through! Even in her facial expression, Lexy couldn't help but look like she was sneering and stifling a chuckle as she held the mic up to Ossi's face in anticipation of the Syrian's answer!

Ossi felt her cheeks redden as Lexi regained her composure, moving on to compare her to previous loser champs. Embarrassment filled the heiress as she remembered her ignominious defeat at the hands of Holly Mattheson, the ultimate humiliation in her dismal career so far. A scowl darkened her pretty features as she listened.

A long reign with the loser belt... she couldn't let that happen. But as she looked Lexi up and down, measuring her response, she knew one way to avoid that fate.

"My 'reign' will end tonight, you blithering pixie," Ossi sneered, stepping up close to Lexi and staring eye to eye with the interviewer, challenging her. "If you truly think I am so without skill, why don't you prove it to these idiots. Why don't you face me for the Loser Belt?!" Her challenge echoed through the arena before she added. "Unless of course, you're too scared to step into the ring, even with the Queen of Losers, as you so put it."

A small "ooohh" rose from the front rows of the crowd who were properly paying attention, and Ossi stepped back planting her hands on her hips, looking at Lexi expectantly, smirking. If everything panned out, she could get rid of this belt tonight! She just hoped her insults would be enough to goad the interviewer into the ring with her...

Lexy had hit her stride. It was plain to see that her talents in scrutinizing her interviewees and guests and getting to the meat and potatoes and the content that viewers wanted to see helped paint her as the face of interviewers at LAW. When Ossi's cheeks reddened, it was plain to see that Alan had hit a nerve or two!

As the time for the PPV to begin was rapidly approaching, Lexy learned via her earpiece that despite being part of the pre-show, this segment had begun to draw some ratings! The crowd was growing livelier, too! Sure, the loser champion was everyone's go-to whipping girl! But this one was brand new! And Lexy had found a way to capitalize! Alan smiled with a confidence that bordered on arrogance as the pressure mounted on Shamar! And yet, somehow Ossi found her composure once more!

"What?" Lexy asked when Ossi suggested her reign would end tonight.

Ossi followed through on her point. If everything Lexy said was true, then fighting Shamar should be a trivial task! The crowd in attendance seemed to agree! Their reactions affirming this challenged Lexy to put her money where her mouth was! The same way Ossi had!

"Ossi, honey! Take it easy! I think we may have gotten off on the wrong foot!" Boos filled the arena as Lexy tried to sweet talk her way out of this.

"It's a pay-per-view special anyways! We can't just add matches to the event all willy-nilly! The time on this pre-show was supposed to be dedicated to the interview! Let's just focus on that, yeah? Surely I can get us both back on track!" Lexy fumbled through her words a bit. But more her facial expression grew paler and more despaired by the minute!

Alan turned her head to the side and placed her index finger on her earpiece, drawing attention to it as she muttered obscenities under her breath. Lexy noticed the announcer at ringside near the announce table. The gentlemen got up. And when she did, Lexy walked to the side of the ring closet to him. She pointed aggressively and yelled.

"DON'T YOU DO IT!"

The announcer gave pause for just a second but he chose to see this through.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, General Manager and CEO Dan DeFranco has chosen to acknowledge Ossi Shamar's request for a match!" The fans that were in attendance broke out into audience cheers!

"The following contest...is for The L.A.W. Loser Chaaaaampionshiiiiip! It is scheduled for one fall...!"

As the announcer continued describing the terms of the match, Lexy blew a gasket! She tossed her microphone aside and stamped her feet! Alan threw a tantrum, violently tugging on the ropes and striking the turnbuckle pads! In her mind, this was the worst possible outcome! She was promised two appearances on the Main Card of the biggest LAW PPV! One match and one appearance to announce the entrance of the Lightweight Champion!

"I'm money! Why do share a ring with this jobber?!?" Lexy put emphasis on the last word as she ranted into the cameras! She was still beside herself with embarrassment and frustration! And she would be up and until and even after the bell for the match was rung!

Ossi's challenge had the desired effect, and the arrogant Arab smirked deviously as the crowd made their expectations clear. Despite Ossi's pathetic record and current loser-belt status, she had the crowd on her side here as Lexi tried to squirm her way out of the situation she'd created.

However, it seemed no amount of squirming from the interviewer could placate the fans, who booed and jeered as Lexi furiously back tracked. She turned away, listening into her earpiece for instructions on how to handle this new situation. However, Ossi spotted the announcer rising from his table at the same time Lexi did, and the Arab beauty grinned.

"Insolent witch," Ossi sneered under her breath as Lexi raced over to the announcer, trying to stop the inevitable. But it was too late. The crowd wanted to see it and the LAW organisers would give them it. In a sudden turnaround the announcer boomed out his confirmation that Ossi Shamar and Lexi Alan would battle it out for the Loser Belt, right here, right now!

Ossi wasted no time in taking advantage of Lexi's petulant tantrum. As the interviewer-turned-opponent ranted and raged at the announcer at the far corner the bell rang, and the Syrian heiress went rushing at her foe's unprotected back. Grinning deviously, she brought both her hands together in a club, and attacked with a devastating axe-handle chop right between Lexi's shoulder blades!
