The Young Lioness Cup, Opening Round: Tanner del Rio vs. Hikari Morizumi

[The Riders]

Wanting to go for the quick pin and stealing a victory from the jaws of defeat. Hikari made a massive mistake when dealing with opponents like Tanner who are able to take any spot their in and turn it into an advantage of their own, using whatever means to make it happen and being able to get away with it as well.

Due to her body blocking the ref view of what was going on... Tanner's elbow slams into the back of her head, forcing Hikari to roll over, clutching the back of her head from the move. Stunned and in a daze with her head throbbing, she is nothing but easy pickings for her opponent to take advantage of.

Tanner's elbow clattered into the back of Hikari's head, and the Floridian felt her opponent's weight roll off of her. "Heh." Tanner sat up, rolling her shoulder to stretch that arm out. Did Hikari really think she was gonna put her away that easily? Tsking as she rose, Tanner flopped her opponent onto her belly. Then she walked over and grabbed her by the foot -- before twisting it viciously for a brutal ankle lock!

She didn't really mind if this move didn't put Hikari away. All she really wanted to do was hurt the bitch, and even if she didn't tap, that ankle would probably give her hell throughout the rest of this match!

Still clutching the back of her head from the pain. It felt like Tanner took a brick and slammed it into the back of her head. The blow almost knocked her out cold completely, but Hikari was able to tough it out and stay alert for the rest of the match.

The only issue is she didn't know what Tanner had planned for her until it was too late as she felt her foot get snatched up and being twisted by her opponent in an Ankle Lock. Feeling the muscles and tendons in her ankle straining from the twist, Hikari would struggle to look for the ropes, but seeing that she is caught in no man lands... the rope being too far away for her to crawl over to. As she tries to use her free leg to get push herself up to her knee to make roll forward and force Tanner to break the hold.

Oh, she'd gladly have stood there all day, just twisting away at Hikari's ankle until the ligaments gave way. A wicked painful ankle sprain would feel nasty, and that would surely get Hikari to submit. Even if it didn't, tearing up the girl's leg a bit would definitely hurt Hikari's chances throughout the last part of their match.

Unfortunately, the long-haired brunette had other ideas. She propped herself up on one leg before rolling away, using her weight to wriggle out of the ankle lock!

"Tch. Pussy." She rolled her neck, sneering down at her runaway opponent. Knuckles balled up and cracked, and Tanner gave Hikari one cocky nod. "Fine then, Rapunzel, get on up. I'll just knock your ass back down anyway."

Free of the ankle lock and able to create some distance between herself and Tanner. Hikari would winch in pain due to the burning feeling in her ankle from the hold. Hikari would glare daggers at her opponent but is on the edge of caution due to the sharp pain in her ankle.

But she still feels like she has enough left in the tank to pull out the victory against the cheater and do so with plenty of power left in her, the only thing is to try to wrestle smart and not allow Tanner to get close to her ankle or get her to the ground again. 'Oh, please, the closest you came to knocking my fine ass back down is your cheating, you swamp bitch,' Hikari would reply back. Before pushing herself up to her feet and has her hands raised out but her right arm is held back, almost waiting for the moment to throw it and land one of her power lariat's at her opponent.

Tanner grinned at her foe as she picked herself off the ground. Hikari's taunt didn't faze her one bit. Plenty of bitches had stepped up to her before -- in bars, in clubs, at festivals, on the street. Why would it be any different just because they were in a ring? Tanner cracked her knuckles, ready for Hikari to come at her again.

And come at her she did, lifting her arm up as if to throw a lariat of some kind. Tanner was chomping at the bit to get this party started back up, so she didn't even realize that Hikari was holding back until it was too late. She stepped forward a moment too soon, lunging into an overhand in an attempt to pass a guard that wasn't there. Suddenly, Hikari unloaded that cocked back arm! "Uff!" It slammed into Tanner's face, plastering stars across her field of view. Immediately covering up her face out of instinct, Tanner fell to the ground and groaned in pain.

Hikari put a bit more extra into that lariat of hers. She always prides herself on being the best when it comes to doing a move that her mother made famous and wants to keep that legacy going strong, so seeing that Tanner is making a mockery of the rip-cord movesets just pisses her off even more and she is going to take out that anger on her opponent.

Stumbling forward and grabbing Tanner by her green locks of hair, Hikari would turn the other woman around so that the wild girl's back was against her chest as she was able to hook her arm for the rip-cord look that she is famous for. Hikari would scream out, "Let it rippp." All the while, tugging on her opponent's arm to spin her forward, she jumps up and goes for her finisher, Trick Roulette (Ripcord High Knee), aiming it right at Tanner's face for the knockout blow.

The world was a swirl of lights, painted into Tanner's field of vision by Hikari's arm. Tanner rubbed at her face, hoping against hope to soothe away the pain and clear her vision before her opponent could take advantage. A sharp pain at her green roots told her that she failed. "Nnngh!" She grunted as she was forced onto her feet and whirled around. "Fuh... Gdzh..." All she could do was snarl. And when she was spun back around, a deadly knee pointed right towards her face?

"RRRAHHH!" Tanner shrieked into the rafters, her voice laden with both shock and fury! At the same time, she fell back, hoping to narrowly dodge the brutal finisher. Her legs kicked out desperately, aimed at the very same ankle that Tanner had hurt earlier! She hoped to fell her fellow Young Lioness with a trick that bordered on illegality. It was a desperate, dirty move that she hoped would help her avoid defeat!

This was it, Hikari would think to herself as she was able to catch her opponent and seeking the finishing blow. As she went for her finisher to knock out Tanner and give the wild child a hard fought loss and show everyone that she is the real deal when it comes to wrestling, due to her bloodline and being trained by her mother, who taught her everything.

Just before her knee would land... Tanner fell backwards and her leg kicked out slamming into the ankle that she had targeted earlier in the match, 'AAAAHHHH' as the ankle bends to the side and forces the younger woman to crumble to the canvas holding her ankle in pain.

Tears start to fall from Hikari eyes as her ankle is throbbing in pain as she tries to crawl herself to the ring ropes to push herself up to her feet... before falling back down due to not being able to put any weight on it.

Fuck. The knee was gonna hurt, wasn't it? That thought was all that raced through Tanner Del Rio's mind as Hikari's finisher hurtled towards her. But then her dirty, desperate kick found purchase in Hikari's ankle! That sent the knee flailing harmlessly away from the falling Floridian's face.

Tanner hit the canvas, huffing and puffing as if she'd just dodged a bullet... Which really wasn't too far from the truth. She got up just in time to watch Hikari fail to pick herself up. "Ohoho..." Tanner chuckled villainously, approaching with a shark-toothed grin on her face. "You're fuckin' dead, Rapunzel."

She reached down. "Oh yeah, you're deaaad~!" Taking up Hikari's wounded ankle, she used it to drag the long haired wrestler to the center of the ring! Then, taking a seat astride Hikari, she pulled back that injured leg for a single leg crab! All the while, she twisted and torqued that ankle back and forth for good measure, just to pump as much pain into this dumbass's leg as possible!
