La Mariposa vs Hayleigh Hayashibara "Jorogumo" - I Quit Match

Despite nothing truly happening to the outside viewer, La Mariposa and Hayleigh were having their own battle of wills and the two had barely even touched one another. Both delivering attacks on the other without truly attacking. Hayleigh proving that the luchadora could be tricked while said luchadora could recover before the jorogumo capitalize on her trick.

So back to square one they were and With the blonde once again offering for another test of strength. And yet despite what just happened, Mariposa accepted it though with much more caution than before. Where upon the two women would push against one another with their full strength. Foreheads pressing together, eye staring in the others and their bodies pressing and rubbing against the others slightly.

But it would be here that Mariposa would show a trick of her own as she would suddenly try to whip her right arm away and wrap it around her rivals head. Twisting her body to where her back was to Hayleigh’s front, the luchadora would try to lock her into a side headlock. But not for long as she would then twist and attempt to send the two of them to the floor in a headlock hip toss. Her hold refusing to loosen even on the floor.

It was now clear that those two wrestlers had been an odds with each other for some time, and even while the public most likely didn’t know much about it it was pretty obvious given how each one of them would predict the other’s moves. It worked pretty well for Hayleigh at first as she showed Mariposa how she could still not only predict her moves but act accordingly and mount some well elaborated ruses. Unluckily for her Mariposa still had a lot of energy in her and didn’t allow the blonde to get any follow up to her move.

From there both women got in another test of strength, a genuine one this time, and even if Hayleigh pushed with all her might she was bested this time as Mariposa swiftly transitioned into a headlock that got Jorogumo by surprise. With a groan of protest Hayleigh tried to pry her rival’s arms open and to get a good stomp on her feet to force a release, but Mariposa was quicker and executed a headlock hip toss that got the two of them on the floor. “G-gah!" Hayleigh impacted against the mat as she was still trapped in Mariposa’s hold, so she would efficiently jerk her body in order to make her way more difficult to maintain the hold.

So far the match has been nothing but the two now clear rivals throwing barbs at one another, whether that be verbal or physical. But now they were getting into the meat of the action and Mariposa was the one that decided to take the lead. By breaking off the rest of strength and trapping Hayleigh in a headlock, the luchadora was able to transition into takedown that left her on her side and laying on top of her most well known opponent.

Mariposa would continue to squeeze on Hayleigh’s with as much strength as she could. Both to fight back against the blondes attempts at escape and to drain as much of her energy as possible. Though she had absolutely no doubts that her opponent was going to refuse to quit. It was too early and she was too stubborn to quit in such a simple hold but that didn’t mean Mariposa was going to make it easy for her.

“Ghn- Get- off!” Hayleigh kept her thrashing and squirming for some instants. Her attempts to escape were fierce but also practical so she wouldn’t waste her energies. It looked that it was exactly what Mariposa intended for her though, to waste as much of her fuel as possible so that would be a weakness to exploit in the midgame. From that hold the luchadora wasn’t going to get much more, but every second the blonde spent trapt in there was a second she wouldn’t be able to fight all out in the long run.

Hayleigh was pretty aware of the predicament she was in despite the early they were in the match, so she decided the time for pleasantries was over. With her thrashing she would try to get some leverage and momentum going so she could suddenly whip her body and hips, launching one of her legs upwards in an amazing display of flexibility to hit her rival with it and try and force a release while still looking awesome.

Hayleigh was thrashing like a fish struggling out of water, forcing Mariposa to constantly readjust her grip to simply hold on. But she couldn’t help the smile that grew on her face as her rival expelled more and more of her energy to escape a simple headlock. It was here that the luchadora would begin to think of what to do next when Hayleigh tired herself out enough.

That is. Until a boot would suddenly slam into the back of her head with shocking force! ”Gah!” She would cry out as her hold was immediately released and she rolled away. Her hand rubbing the back of her skull as she turned to look at what hit her. Instead what she found was her opponent practically posing with her foot in the air, as if to mock mariposa with the limb that just kicked her. Causing a low growl to vibrate in her throat as she rose back to her feet.

Hayleigh’s escape managed to be quite spectacular and to get a good round of cheers from a crowd who was now getting into the electric tension of the match, but despite that the blonde could feel like her strike to force a break was a little bit too complicated and draining for so early in the match. She would need to make a much smarter use of her reserves if she was going to reach the end of the match with enough fuel to get the win, so she shook her head while strenghening her resolve.

Now, managing to hit Mariposa in the head gave Hayleigh a good route to walk. If she could land some hits on the woman’s head she could definitely make her dazed and stunned and that would give Jorogumo the advantage. And having her rival reeling in pain on the mat was an invitation to follow up, so Hayleigh would run at her rival to throw a high kick to the side of her face as Mariposa was still getting up. “Hyagh!”

Mariposa let out another small groan as she put her feet back underneath her. Despite managing to block Hayleigh’s kick slightly, the blow itself was still enough to stun the luchadora somewhat. Reminding her that the blondes attacks were very dangerous. Scenes from past matches couldn’t help but flash through her mind at the thought of it either.

But her rival wasn’t finished as when Mariposa finally managed to get back to her feet, she was bombarded with yet another blow aimed for her head! Barely managing to get her arms up in time, the luchadora found herself stumbling back before falling against a nearby turnbuckle in a daze. The two blows to the head stunning the luchadora and leaving her wide open.

Despite all the time that has passed since their last match it reassured Hayleigh a lot noticing how her bitter rival Mariposa wasn’t still capable of sustaining a proper barrage of hits whenever it was her the one delivering it. In some way it felt like home seeing how Mariposa, even if capable of raising her guard and only being glanced, was stumbling against the corner and looked wide open for what Hayleigh had now in mind.

In order to achieve her next plan though, Hayleigh needed her rival really dazed and staggering. That was why the blonde would charge forwards while launching a knee to Mariposa’s stomach. Feeling her knee sink on the masked woman’s skin Hayleigh let a grin out while she whispered to the woman’s ear. “Now be a good girl and stay put.” After that Hayleigh retreated until the center of the ring in order to gain some momentum and then started running towards her rival to seal her hit streak with a crushing spear against the corner!

Mariposa groaned as she stumbled away with her hand on her head. She got greedy she realized. She knew that Hayleigh would refuse to tap this early and that she had kept her in the hold to drain her of strength. But the luchadora kept her locked in too long and now the blonde had figured out a way to reverse her situation and deliver two stunning blows to her head.

Stumbling back into a nearby corner, the masked luchadora was just able to open her eyes when a knee drilled into her defenseless belly her eyes bugging out and her voice wheezing as she heard her rivals voice sink into her ears, telling her not to move. And at first, that’s what mariposa did. Even as Hayleigh backed up in preparation for a charge. The luchadora looked defenseless. Yet just when it seemed she was about to get folded in half, her eyes sparked to life!

Suddenly she would use the ropes to jump into the air! Her legs pushing up and allowing Hayleigh’s body to dart underneath her and hit the turnbuckle instead of herself! Allowing gravity to take hold. The glittering butterfly would drop onto her rivals back her legs hooking over her opponents arms. Then with a twist of her hips, Mariposa would spin Hayleigh around whilst she leaned over the top ropes. Now upside down, La Mariposa would grab hold of Hayleigh’s legs and pull! Transforming her disadvantaged position into a tarantula hold!

Hayleigh had been relying on her knowledge of her rival to guide her plans so far, and it served the blonde well as she got Mariposa with some decent hits and the luchadora was now defenseless against a corner. She had known Mariposa for a long time now, maybe too long if one asked Hayleigh, and their grudge was now something that trascended time and even wrestling divisions, but there was some fact that Hayleigh neglected and was just about to cost her much: knowing each other went both ways.

Of course Hayleigh should have expected some flashy jumping from Mariposa, but she didn't and it was too late to do anything. The only thing Hayleigh could do when she noticed her rival going over her with an elegant jump was to widen her eyes in surprise and cry in pain as she crashed shoulders first against the turnbuckle. But that wouldn't be the end of it since while Hayleigh was struggling against the pain and the ropes in a distressed attempt to recover and regain eye contact with her rival Mariposa used that time to lock a Tarantula hold that immediately got a cry out of Hayleigh as jolts of pain coursed through her limbs.

Hayleigh writhed in the hold as she was unable to free herself while trying to hide the pain she was feeling. In a standard match that hold using the ropes would be illegal and the ref would force a rope break, but since that match was 'I quit' that wouldn't happen. Mariposa got her well that time and Hayleigh felt embarrassed and mad about it. She would try forcing her way out of the hold, but her position was precarious as she would thrash as much as she could to make Mariposa's hold harder to maintain.
