Electro Pyro Overload! Keqing [D] vs. Tomoe [D]

"Hrrk!" Keqing let out a pained grunt as well as her bruised belly slammed into Tomoe's prone body. Though her moonsault bodysplash was perfectly executed, and Tomoe had not put up any defense, the purple-haired athlete had miscalculated one big thing. That being, just how hard Tomoe's body actually was. Even when lying flat in a daze, her muscles were as hard as rocks, and to the smaller, lighter, softer Keqing, falling on top Tomoe's belly felt like slamming into rocks as well!

So when Tomoe's arm wrapped around her, and the bigger girl asked for a truce, Keqing almost felt like agreeing. She needed to get her own wind back after hitting Tomoe, and to allow some of the pain to dissipate from her belly.

"I'll give you a few seconds," Keqing said after a moments hesitation to consider her options, But just a few, OK?" She tried to act tough to cover up how bad and weak she was feeling. Even though Keqing agreed to a truce though, she was already trying to move, gently pushing at Tomoe to slide off of the bigger woman so she could get onto her knees beside her, and begin the agonizing process of getting back to her feet.

"Hahaaaah... There ya go..." The meaty forearm laid across Keqing's back started to pat her in approval of her choice. After helping her opponent slide off of her with a gentle push, Tomoe simply let her limbs flop onto the canvas. She was panting like a dog, trying to catch her breath. Still, while Keqing looked to be in a bad way on the whole, most of the hardest blows that Tomoe had taken were aimed at her head or upper body. She'd been hard-headed enough to survive the most dangerous moments, and those kinds of blows might have been a little easier to recover from than whatever Keqing was feeling.

She flopped onto her belly, then slowly pushed herself up onto her feet. Keqing's position was vulnerable, she noticed, but the thought of breaking their temporary pact didn't even cross her mind. Instead, she stumbled away from Keqing. She was definitely slower now than she was in the beginning of the match, and it was harder to move. She could only hope that Keqing would be slowed even more.

While some in the audience lamented the break in the action, most of them broke into a smattering of respectful applause as the two warriors readied themselves for another pass. Tomoe turned back towards her foe. "Man..." she groaned, chuckling through gritted teeth. "LAW doesn't mess around when it comes to pickin' talent, huh? You're pretty good!" With a deep breath, she squared up once more. "Heh. Don't suppose I could persuade ya to do a lock-up?"

After pushing herself off of Tomoe, Keqing took a moment to feel her belly and see just how bad it was. The tenderness from just a light touch told her that her abs were definitely bruised up. Which was unfortunate, as that limited her options and weakened her core. But it wasn't something the stubborn girl couldn't overcome. She just had to be a little bit more careful, and not try to moonsault onto Tomoe again.

Keqing was a lot slower getting to her feet than before. She could have gotten up fast if she wanted, but she figured since they were in a truce she could take her time to recover as much as she could. Panting a little from the pain spreading throughout her body, the purple-haired athlete pushed up to her feet, straightening up, fixing her hair, and got ready for another round against her giantess opponent.

"Lock up? Are you kidding? You'll crush me like a soda can!" Keqing shot back. She raised her hands and warily circled Tomoe, refusing to get close enough to actually grapple with her. A standoff ensued for a moment, as Keqing looked for an opening. Then she made her move.

Stepping in quickly, Keqing raised one leg and threw a kick out towards Tomoe's gut! It was an obvious attack, and one that Keqing expected Tomoe to block or catch easily. She was counting on it though, as she would then use her trapped leg as a stepping stone, throwing her other leg up in an enzuigiri aimed at Tomoe's head!

"Heh. Thought it was worth asking." Just like that, the fight was back on. Tomoe also squared up, circling her foe. Now that she had a better sense of her opponent's capabilities, she too had to be wary. Keqing had a few clear advantages in this fight. Her speed, her willingness to use verticality, her sense of momentum. Granted, each of those was lessened with each mighty blow that Tomoe landed, but at the same time, Tomoe's strength was starting to waver as well in light of her own damage.

Sure enough, Keqing suddenly flashed forward, sending a quick boot into her hardened abs! This one was telegraphed, and still too slow besides. The stocking-sheathed ankle quickly found itself caught in the maw of Tomoe's strong grip. From here, she meant to counter with some kind of ankle lock or heel twist, but all she had time to do was grin cheekily before Keqing hopped back up, seemingly using the caught let for leverage!

Tomoe raised her arms in an attempt to deflect, but it was too late and Keqing was still a bit too fast for her. The smaller middleweight leapt up, kicking her in the side of her head for an enzuigiri! Tomoe flew back, staggered by Keqing's blow! But this fall backwards, combined with Tomoe's reflexive flinch of her arms and her vice-grip on Keqing's ankle, meant that Keqing would find herself flung and flipped through the air herself! It was a move that the chef only wished she could take credit for, but hopefully it would cause Keqing to land in a bad way, even as Tomoe herself fell onto the mat.

Keqing's feint was executed perfectly. Yes, her leg got caught by Tomoe, but that just gave her the perfect foothold to step up and launch her real strike at Tomoe's head! The enzuigiri arced upwards and struck Tomoe hard right on the side of the head, sending the giantess toppling over like an oak tree that just got cut down. Unfortunately for Keqing though, Tomoe's grip on her ankle did not loosen at all!

"WAAHHH!" Keqing yelled as she got dragged along for the ride! She expected Tomoe to release her grip after she landed her kick, so she could quickly recover her footing. But instead, as Tomoe fell, she got thrown out sideways across the ring! With her landing completely botched, Keqing could do little but slam facefirst into the mat with a tremendous thud!

BOOM! It was hard to tell whose landing was harder, Tomoe's or Keqing's. Both girls got laid out after that exchange, with Keqing lying facedown on the mats, her entire body quivering from the impact. The referee, seeing both fighters down, began a count to 10 to see if either one would be able to get up.

"One!" "Two!"

Another pass, and another spot where Tomoe's bell got rung. At this rate, she was probably gonna have to get checked for a concussion after this match. For now, though, she was well on her way to recovery. That there was a count going told her that Keqing wasn't faring much better. The referee looked back and forth, holding up her hands and counting up her fingers as she observed the two collapsed women. "One... Two... Three... Fou-"

"Awright, awright!" Tomoe interrupted the referee by waving her hand dismissively in the air. It wasn't long until she rose to her feet. Sure enough, Keqing was on the ground, having been accidentally thrown by Tomoe. A cool move on her part, but again, not one that was on purpose. Still, she had to take advantage of it somehow.

This was where her experience in the indies gave her an edge. Tomoe was not stupid. Instinctive, carefree, boisterous? Yes. But not stupid. Immediately, her mind conjured images of previous matches. Drop toe holds, leg sweeps, kip-ups. Each was an option that a supine wrestler could use to surprise standing foes, and each was something that a smaller opponent had used against Tomoe in the past. She couldn't hazard venturing too close to the Blazing Lightning. The only option, then, was to strike from a distance!

Wounded, she lumbered towards her fallen foe. Though she was slowed, her strides were long enough to potentially make up for it. "Hrrrah!" When she was about a lunge away from Keqing, she took to the air! The leap was short, though it didn't need to be very high. Her legs swung forward as she fell, intending to hit Keqing with a running senton! The move, like many she'd used this match, had plenty of botch potential. Keqing could easily dodge or counter or do something to make her look the fool. But if she landed? All of Tomoe's weight would be brought to bear against her smaller foe!

"Uuuuuugh..."Keqing groaned as she lay facedown on the mat. Throughout this match it felt as if her moves were hurting herself more than they were hurting her opponent. Well, no, that wasn't true. It was just that Tomoe was tough like a rock and Keqing wasn't, so the recoil from her own attacks, or botching a landing like what just happened, seemed to affect her more.

Like now, for instance, even though Keqing landed her enzuigiri, it was Tomoe who was first up and making her way over. Keqing could feel the ring tremor with each step the bigger woman took. She turned her head a little, looking up to see what was coming her way. What she saw immediately sent a jolt of adrenaline through her body, as her self-preservation instincts kicked in.

"Oh crap!" she gasped as she saw Tomoe step forward then leap into the air. She didn't think her opponent was really capable of high-flying attacks, but with her weight behind it any such move would be game ending. The smaller girl threw herself sideways, the burst of adrenaline suddenly making her forget all about her own pain as she tried to dodge the move. She needed to, because if she didn't, Tomoe landing on top of her would squash her flat as a pancake!

"WOOOO!" Tomoe gave a cheer as she flew through the air, feeling the thrill rise in her as if she was on a roller coaster! Which, in a way, she was on one -- aimed right at Keqing's torso! Unfortunately, though, Keqing had the wherewithal to simply dodge the running senton! With a yelp, the smaller girl scrabbled away, leaving Tomoe -- "Oh, crap!" -- to land back-first onto the mat!

The smaller girl rolled out of the way, and the canvas shuddered and shook after taking all of Tomoe's weight. Thanks to her experience in the ring, though, the wobbly ground didn't disorient her as much as it might have done to another. Plus, she was used to her weight. So rolling onto all fours would have been no problem for someone like her, as long as Keqing didn't get the jump on her first!

If she managed to right herself without being harried, Tomoe would launch after Keqing like a lion on the hunt! "C'mere, you!" One powerful hand reached towards Keqing, hoping to grab onto her and gain control! The two of them must've looked more like amateurish catfighters than pro wrestlers, coming at one another on hands and knees. Even worse, Tomoe's strength advantage would be nearly nullified on the ground, whereas her foe's agility would be even more helpful. Still, this was the bed she'd made, and now Tomoe would have to lie in it!

Dodging the senton was the easy part, as Keqing's survival instinct kicked in and gave her a big shot of adrenaline. When she felt the ring shake from Tomoe's impact, the Chinese girl let out a soft sigh of relief. Yeah, if that had hit her, she would be squashed like a bug. Turning her head, she expected Tomoe to be rolling on the ground, groaning in pain.

"Oh you gotta be kidding me," Keqing groaned as she saw Tomoe rolling onto her front and pushing onto her hands and knees instead. The bigger woman seemed unfazed by her botched attack. Keqing guessed that all that weight and muscle made Tomoe quite sturdy and able to take falls, even if her falls were quite a bit harder.

As Tomoe reached out to grab her though, Keqing saw an opportunity of her own. "Well, if you want me so badly," Keqing said, "Then here you go!" The girl kicked out both her legs, attempting to wrap them around Tomoe's arm and trap it in between her thighs. Her hand meanwhile grabbed onto Tomoe's wrist. Keqing didn't try to flip the two of them over or to gain a dominant position, she simply grabbed Tomoe's arm and cranked it in a highly improvised armbar!

Truth be told, Tomoe Togarashi -- or, more accurately, Nanami Azabuko -- had fallen flat on her back enough times to get by relatively unscathed, even with her massive frame. She was quite rambunctious in her youth, after all. Being a seventh child, even that of an elite business family, meant that others had relatively low expectations of her compared to her siblings. Of course, her family still demanded excellence in whatever her chosen path became, but she was hardly groomed to be the flag-bearer of their family. So her hyper-energetic ways never really left her; she simply got better at dealing with it. While that mostly meant improving her balance, it also meant knowing how to take a fall.

Still, dropping nearly 200 pounds onto the ring floor was still gonna hurt the bearer of said 200 pounds. As a result, Tomoe was made even more sluggish by the fall! Dull pain and overbearing fatigue seeped into her muscles. Keqing, it seemed, read the grab all the way! The smaller girl quickly took advantage, capturing the muscly limb between her legs and setting up a reverse armbar!

"Ghhk!" Tomoe immediately felt the pressure on her shoulder and elbow. She didn't have an escape in mind quite yet, but maybe she could buy herself a moment to think of one. She tucked her knees in, propping herself up on her free elbow and her lower legs. Then, she swung her free arm over, reaching blindly with the long limb in an attempt to grab on to one of Keqing's wrists! Tomoe wouldn't be able to fully pry Keqing out of her armbar, but hopefully, she could at least loosen the grip enough to give herself a little bit of wiggle room. All she needed was time, so she could think of a way out of this mess!
