Tara Kwan vs. Raquel Masters (Apex Qualifier Match)

Raquel was strutting her stuff around the locker room, checking out her look in the mirror. She was wearing her white and powder blue attire tonight and she was eager to show off in the ring. She had come a long way since her failed lightweight title shot and Raquel was going to make a run at the open weight title! However she had to win a qualifier before she could make any real noise so tonight the lightweight was focused entirely on taking it to Tara in between the ropes this evening.

As her music began to play Raquel came out holding her arms up as the crowd cheered. She swayed her hips and ran her hands through her hair before half strutting, half skipping down the ramp waving to the crowd while blowing kisses as she went. Raquel was all smiles and she again added a good bit of hip sway to her walk before jogging towards the ring, jumping from the floor up onto the apron. She looked over her shoulder and winked to the crowd before grabbing the top rope to vault over into the ring. Raquel soaked up the cheers of the crowd for another moment before settling into a far corner to await the arrival of Tara.

Tara Kwan's own entrance was nought to be a second after Raquel had made hers. For in a rare moment, perhaps even a first in LAW, Tara Kwan was feeling rather serious!

Though it could hardly be a surprise, both because of what was at stake, that being further progress being made towards the openweight belt, and the calibre of her foe. Tara knew next to nothing on the beauty now standing tall in the centre of the ring, but she didn't have to have met her before to know one thing for sure. Raquel would be just as serious, if not more so than she.

If not, why would she even be here?

Emerging with a smile to her face if one somewhat tempered down, Tara was all high fives as her lithe body bounced down the ramp. A skip to her rhythm by the time she was ring side, Tara took it upon herself to bounce over the ropes as well - with her hands clutching the top ropes, before she kicked her feet up and over them.

Landing spryly, she'd immediately take to her corner and press her hands either side of her. Clutching the ropes, Tara was eager to give the signal that she was ready the moment the referee asked for it, opting to warm herself up with a few quick lunges until then.

All the whilst an audience lay eye on a curious sight - that of a Tara Kwan who didn't at all seem eager in oogling nor chatting up the figure before her.

A testament to how serious she was this day!

Raquel watched as Tara made her way out to the ring and she noted how focus Tara seemed to be. Raquel knew a lot was riding on this match for both women and the former lightweight title challenger wanted her qualifying match to be a win so she could build up some Apex momentum.

Raquel kept her stare right on Tara as she entered the ring, ready to step out and meet her. Raquel was silent as Tara stepped up and both women waited for the bell. As soon as it rang Raqual rushed in swinging her leg up to try to open things up with a couple fast mid-kicks right across the abdomen of Tara to strike first! Raquel knew that all eyes were on the two of them, and she was looking to be aggressive in this matchup even if she was the smaller wrestler.

Tara somehow maintained focus even when presented with the beauty before her. To stop and oogle would have been too easy, she figured. But to take this encounter, and but a handful more seriously, in order to get a shot at the openweight belt?

The championship itself meant little to Tara, as did nigh all accolades. But the prospect of being at the head of a division of gorgeous women - with all of them vying for a match with her in one form or another?

Tara simply couldn't resist.

Needless to say after the briefest of moments spent in her imaginary harem of world class contenders, Tara was all focus as she stepped forward. Finding Raquel to naturally be the same, it was the Korean who was quickly put on the defensive as her foe swooped in. With her foot raised - out to cause damage, no doubt.

Uninterested in the prospect of being beaten black nor blue, Tara relied on her own apt agility to stay out of harms way. Ducking and dodging every which way the kicks weren't, Tara looked to endure the onset thrown at her all without so much as taking a blow. Before she herself looked to pivot on her hips and swing out her nearest leg - for a sweeping kick of her own, ideally right at the base of her aggressive foe!

Raquel's kicks were blocked and Tara was showing off some speed of her own, going low on Raquel! "Oomph!" Raquel groaned as she was taken by surprise having her leg swept out to send her crashing down to the mat flat on her back. Raquel was going to try to scramble up to her feet as quickly as she could acutely aware that her current position put her at a major disadvantage!

Swinging her leg out to catch the base of Raquel, Tara opted to carry on the momentum as to have her body facing away from her now downed foe. With a deep breath to her, and her hands to her side, Tara was looking to kick things off in this qualifying match on her end in a dramatic, memorable fashion.

By kicking off the ground literally, rotating her body in the process! For with a scream, Tara made it known she was going for a standing moonsault!

Uncaring of whether she landed on either side of Raquel as she lay flat, or as the woman began to rise. So long as she connected in some form or another!

Raquel was starting to get up when the bigger Tara crackdown on top of her with the standing moonsault! "UGGGHHHH!" Raquel groaned as she was flattened back down against the mat, thrashing about as she tried to shove the bigger Tara off of her. So far even though Raquel pride herself on being fast and hitting hard it was Tara who was beating her at her own game wit the hurting Raquel on the back foot and struggling to recover with Tara in the drivers seat.

It was a pristine moonsault - one that Tara could have easily have followed up with a pinfall had she so desired. But what chance did she have in keeping Raquel down for the pin count so quickly?

Would Raquel even be wrestling, never mind entering Apex, had she had such a weak chin?

Tara didn't even look to test the durability of Raquel - instead she opted to rise quickly with her hands pushing roughly at Raquel's torso to get her flat. Though she didn't intend for Raquel to stay so. In fact, she was hoping Raquel would make efforts at pushing up - for what Tara had in mind next!

For Tara would kick off her feet to sprint full pelt towards the ropes, bouncing off of them with as much momentum to her frame as she could build. With her goal being to drive her foot into Raquel who would ideally be in the middle of a rise - to strike her clean on the torso! It didn't matter whether it be from the front nor back, so long as it hit.

For it would hit hard regardless!

Raquel sat up and heard the footsteps behind her. She didn't wait to turn to see what was coming. All she knew was the last place she wanted to be was the spit she was in.

Raquel rolled hard to the side forcing Tara to hit nothing but air instead of connecting another hard strike against Raquel! The red headed Bostinian would push herself up knowing Tara was going to come at her fast once more.

Tara swung in hard for a kick that might have done Raquel in there and then. Had it connected!

With her saving grace being that the kick hit nothing at all as opposed to something solid in place of her foe, Tara didn't look to merely stumble and stop. Nay - she corrected her pace, before sprinting right back in!

With her kicking leg in front of her Tara looked to sprint full speed at the ropes now before her, to yet again bounce off of them and return to Raquel!

This time intending to drive not a limb but her full body into Raquel in a motion intended to be unavoidable. As she kicked off both feet but looked to bring them out to her side - as she raised her arms up and wide in tandem with her torso leading the charge into Raquel - ala a crossbody!
