For weeks she dealt with moving, with sitting in offices signing papers, with riding around town in public transportation since she did not know anything about her new home. Nonstop activities, all of them, and none of them engaging or fun or relaxing. She remembered why she waited so long to move away from her college home to join a larger promotion. Change could be so stressful for so many reasons!
But now, she stood on the cusp of her first match! Anticipation bubbled, far more than nervousness (though she felt some of that too), while she rocked on her toes from the gorilla position, ready to enter the ring and introduce herself to these new fans. Admittedly, as much as she would enjoy performing (and winning, she planned) in front of a new, larger crowd, she simply felt the need to tussle with a good opponent. It sounded like therapy, in fact!
"Introducing! From Willemstad, Curacao.."
Cori's lips tore into a grin hearing her introduction, and after impatiently waiting for her music to hit its stride after the softer introduction, she emerged.

Fans warmly greeted her, and Cori handed flowers she had tucked into her waistband to a few of them while she walked.
She lingered, immersing herself in being the hot new wrestler in the neighborhood, long enough that her own music ceased and her opponent's started. "Oops, oops.. Thank you, everyone." She quickly shuffled toward the ring and up the steps. There she stopped, peering back to the stage. She admittedly knew little about this opponent of hers, a mistake of her own making. As it turned out, she had gotten a little caught up in the idea of the match itself and slacked in her research, but she had a feeling that the pure thrill of having a match again would help carry her.
"Let's see who you are, Gabrielle."
