Blaise's incessant flailing finds no success here. The girl-in-gold has him trapped, and his escape attempts are.. well, unproductive at best, embarrassing at worst, and hawt to a very particular demographic during most of his on-air appearances. But upon feeling her ease up on him, he's dealing with the fact that she drained a lot from him. He could continue struggling to free himself, but the pain just continues to mount - even at this lesser degree.

Screw it. This isn't a for real match, he's putting himself through a lot for.. what, the warrior code? Handa would be stoked, but Blaise feels like he's turning this into something it shouldn't be. What, he couldn't say. In fact, he can't really say much between the labored breaths, winces, and groans. His head hangs in her grip, and his left hand raises.

He hates doing this. He always hates doing this. But she has him. She really, really has him.

His palm pats at her arm, signalling his submission. He gives in to her.

She heard the taps before she saw the at first, gasping excitedly. She gave Blaise a hug drawing him close in the hold absentmindedly tightening up everyone a d stretching him again. "Oh shoot! Sorry!" She let up on him almost right away, the semi gentle soul even being so kind as to ease him down to the mat. She did however still perch on his back. He couldn't see it but was was beaming.

"You are a real tough cookie, you know that?" She sounded pretty genuine. At least she was all smiles again. She wiped her brow with a huff. Today had been a way bigger workout for her than she had imagined it would be. A jog? Ha, what a joooooke. She glanced down Blaise as she sat on his back, poking his meaty shoulder to check off he was still alive.

"So. Tell me about your wrestling stuff." Now seemed as good a time as any to suddenly drill the man with questions. Not exactly the most tasteful thing, but at least she wasn't gloating, right?

No one has ever described the lithesome Blaise as meaty before. Technically they still didn't. He'd have laughed at it, though. If he's meaty, Handa would be sasquatch. Check that, Handa is already Sasquatch.

Unable to return the hug and just endure it with a wince, his mildly sweaty frame gets pulled backwards, compressed, then eased back down to the mat to fester in what would be shame for normal people. Not for Blaise. "Not tough enough this time," he notes. "But next time..." He squirms between her legs, attempting to rotate over to face her. Whether or not this sees success is entirely up to her from her lofty and dominant perch. "..next time, s'gonna be you tapping out! Or being pinned. One.. one or the other." He's still rather breathless, and his body remains wracked with the aftershocks of an extensive submission hold. But he offers up as much a smile as he can show her from whatever angle he's managed!

"My wrestling stuff? Gotta be.. more specific. Which wrestling stuff?"

"Maybe... or maybe I will kick your butt again! I didn't even have a chance to use either of my finishers." Asuka flexed a bicep, as noodly as it was, clapping her other hand down on it. She winced mouthing a silent "oh" to herself. It was the as if he saw it.

As Blaise moves to roll over she assists slightly by dropping her knees down on either side of him to straddle his form rather then sit directly on him. She sits her weight back down, but lighter with her own support in play not thinking to much about this one way or the other.

"Whatever you do, where you work, what sort of talent they have there. The works! I told you a boatload of stuff about me." She jabs at his chest with a finger from on high her position of self made authority. "So get talking Buster Blaise."

Blaise successfully turns over, and finds an attractive girl now perched on him. An attractive, really cute girl, at that. Well, there are worse ways to be pinned, and under far less comfortable individuals. He tries to keep himself still and non-squirming. So far, so good. Doesn't mean he won't languish in the position, however! His arms raise and fold behind his head to create a makeshift pillow, making a grand show of getting comfortable with his 'predicament'. This has the added benefit of pulling his lean, toned body taut under her, chest and abs on full display.

"Well, I wrestled back in the States for a while before I got picked up by a federation here in Japan. I'm with the NCWF." He swallows, attempting to get his breathing finally under control now that he isn't being contorted or choked. "That's the Neon Circuit Wrestling Federation. They got lots'a good people there. Like me!" He arches up against her a little; the original intent was a playful nudge. But immediately upon doing it, can't quite call it that. He swallows again - this time for a different reason. "I've not been with'em for too long, but it's a lot've fun!"

Without further prodding or more specific questions, that's all he volunteers up front! The rest isn't exactly anything to brag about or bring up if you're trying to impress someone!

She took his nudge as a subtle sign that he might have been in comfortable with their current position. Hardly even realizing what it was. She hadn't thought to hard about straddling him. It has just been a convenient the way to sit at the time. "One sec." Planting her hands on either side of him she leans down close to slip her leg up and over. Scooting beside him she folds her legs in a crossed position to seamlessly continue their conversation.

"So how good are you compared to the people there?" She may have been asking more for herself, trying to gauge how good she had done on the totem pole for the federation Blaise called home. LAW was the big leagues compared to her small potatoes indy touring. Getting a feel for what constituted a actual challenge was an important thing to hammer down now that she was here to stay.

She turned her head to flick back her hair, getting most of it out of her face. Her hands gripped the bottoms of her sneakers as she rocked in place. A natural state for her to always been in motion in some regard.

She dismounts, and Blaise immediately, nigh in a blur of motion, sits up. His knees fold, and he hugs his shins. Chin sets to the tops of his steepled knees, and his brow knits at the question.

"I'm good! I mean, I've not really hit my stride, but I'm good," he states confidently. Of course, by 'not really hit his stride', he means 'never won a match in his life'. But he's a wrestler. Wrestlers aren't in the business of talking bad about themselves or painting themselves in a negative light. Even an upbeat, uplifting individual like Blaise, who doesn't mind at all giving credit to those who beat him. He's honest, but he's at least tactful about it.

She brings a hand to her mouth goggling. "How do you know when you hit your stride? I could really use knowledge like that I think." She shimmies on her butt a bit closer. "Does your fed draw a lot of people? Do you have any good secrets for handling the crowds? The LAW arena is a good million times bigger than anyplace else I performed. I'm a bit nervous to be perfectly honest."

She smiled brightly watching Blaise still manage to be so lively despite what they had just been though. She didn't feel so bad about the tail end of their spar anymore. The last thing she wanted was to hurt anyone. It all came back to the weight lifting with no spotter though. Maybe he just likes throwing himself into potentially dangerous circumstances.

"Well, when you start getting a lot've wins under your belt," Blaise explains casually, head faintly tilting on its knee-perch. "It's gotta be some win a row, see. That's why it's called a stride. And not a, a hop."

Seamlessly, the teen lets the conversation continue right past the subtle hints that he doesn't have many wins, much less a winning streak to speak of. "Oh yeah! Packed stadium every time the cameras roll!" A broad, bright smile is on his face despite what some may have considered a humiliating defeat at the hands of a noodly-armed girl. His eyes are even wide and a bit on the sparkly side. "And it's a cool setup, too! It's like they have a ring inside a jukebox; all glowy and neon. Sort'a retro, sort'a techno. Like Tron."

He clears his throat and adjusts his position, now perching on his knees and facing her. His hands fold over his lap modestly. "It's different for different people. Some people are scary, so people wanna rally behind a monster. Some big, destructive force. Other people flock to whoever's hottest, or whatever. Y'know, whoever cheers the loudest might get a date or something. I can only tell ya for sure what works for me."

His head cants to her.

"Have fun. Enjoy it. Every night's different, except for one thing - it's wrestling. And wrestling's what I love, so no matter what, I'm loving what I'm doing. And people like to see people who're having a good time."

Asuka was chewing on her lower lip gently, nodding along. To her this all seemed like pretty great advice, things she would commit to memory to call upon later. She made another mental note to look up some of Blaise's matches. If they were recorded as he claimed, it wouldn't be hard to find a few, surly. That would give her a better example on if he had actually held back on her.

"Haha, yeah! It's a bit unreal right? You always here about people who get jobs and they hate it. People like us..." She flicked a finger between the two of them. "We're pretty lucky to be in a position where our jobs aren't a chore, or a hobby, it's a passion, right?" She slapped her hands onto the tops of her knees, nodding firmly.

"I really want to get out there and do something, yaknow? Make a difference somehow in somebody's day. There is a lot of negativity out in the world. People come to shows like ours to put all that behind them. I want to o help people forget, maybe even inspire them a little... That doesn't sound odd, does it?" she tilts her head slightly to get his opinion. Regardless of the questioning tone at the end she doesn't seem too concerned about it being one way or the other. This was how she felt after all.
