2021 LAW Halloween Party! (Semi-Open Thread)

Silver was careful not to antagonise the kind hearted Alaina with mention of her hated rival, though it became apparent the older amazon was aware Silver had some relation to Alaina. Luckily for her, Alaina didn't press, and instead offered a query of another matter to Silver.

"Oh..!" Silver hummed, her hand raised to her mouth as if she had to give it a good thought. She hadn't seen everyone of Alaina's matches, but she'd seen a fair few. "I really enjoyed both encounters with Dixie Clemets. She's a super big name and you really took it to her..." Silver nodded as if reaffirming herself, before seeing out the corner of her eye the filled room became outright packed. And amongst those entering was another one of her fellow hosts, which queued Silver in to get things rolling! "Excuse me for one moment!" Silver nodded to Alaina, before slipping back from the group of conversing women to exit into the back.

After what would have been a good five minutes of secret work behind the scenes, she'd appear with a wide and heavy wooden basket of sorts! The kind that was most certainly water proof, given it was already filled to the brim!

Splashing lightly near enough every which way, Silver was careful as not to soak the décor nor her guests as she made herself somewhat into the centre of the party room if with one step at a time. Perhaps earning a few looks as she did so, Silver damn near pulled a muscle with the strain of carrying the weight in her hands, before with a thud she placed it down. Guests didn't have to look closely to register the buxom hostess had just placed a water-filled basket with apples already bobbing in it!

"So..!" She'd clap her hands, catching her breath. "Does...anyone want a try?"

April would be quick to answer the challenge of Apple bobbing, heading over to silver. "I'll do it! I am a master of getting apples with my mouth...or something I don't know. Hold my hood please and thank you." April shrugged and pulled her hood down, adjusting it before putting her arms behind her back and attempting to dunk her head into the water. She would take a few seconds, having to keep pushing her hood back before coming back up with an apple in her mouth. She would gasp, grabbing the apple and putting it with her hands behind her back, before going in a second time, taking a moment again before pulling out a second Apple!

She would cough as she spit the apple out into her other hand, smugly grinning and panting "Got it!" April would smile at Silver, the water having messed up April's face paint job, leaving it dripping a bit, but thankfully nothing got in the water. "Not half bad if I do say so myself." She turned to Silver smiling, showing off the pair of Apples she had got, taking a bit out of one. "mmm! You have really good juicy pair of things Silver...." April would pause before coughing realizing her wording "THE APPLES, I meant the apples! I mean you do have a nice pair, but I meant the apples!" She corrected quickly, giving a nervous grin.

Her voice was loud and proud, with a hand pressed on her puffed-out chest. The other was stretched out, still locked with closed eyes. There was no shortage of energy to deviate from whatever splendour these people enjoyed. Most things here were quite recognizable, some foreign, but the principle was largely the same of a banquet. Right? Well, one most certainly doesn’t grab hold of another so suddenly, especially a Reinhardt in public. Toned arms enveloped her from both sides, pulled her back into their front, and with one glance at those hands, she knew exactly who was behind her. The voice was another, though fell on deaf ears. The squeeze ached her pelvic bone, and she wheezed. Her hands rested on top, wedging in-between her hands as Karla’s feet dangled off the ground. Both of which kicked, “Hey, what’re you doing?! I’ll give you a whooping if you don’t put me down!”

Fuming out her nose, Karla looked around, soon her frown deflated, as did her struggle as she peered over the shoulder at Rindo Kobayashi. “Lovely to see you too, Rindo.” Said with a squinted gaze, cheeks all puffed up, reddened. “If you’re going to hold me, then put me on your shoulders! I can’t see shit and people can't see me!”

Satsuki was just about to follow Allie to go check on the fallen TORA when she heard a commotion coming from the blocked-off storage area in the back of the room. Seconds later, Silver came in, heaving a large wooden tub! She waddled effortfully to the center of the room and plopped the basket down. Satsuki peered into the basket, only to find... apples? Apples floating in a pool of water.

Really, she had no idea what she was looking at. At least not until April all but skipped over to the tub and knelt down in front of it. The ghost pulled her hood back, leaned down, and pulled up an apple using only her mouth! Then, she repeated the motion, grabbing a second and looking proud of herself all the while.

Ah, so it was a game, then. A party game, sure, but a game nonetheless. That was something she could work with.

"Alright, now we're talkin'." An excited beam spread across Satsuki's face, and before she knew what she was doing, she was already walking towards the tub. "Lemme show you all how the Queen of Clubs comes to play!" A quick flick of her wrist across her waist, and her wallet was already out. With another, a 1000 yen bill was between her fingers. Satsuki slapped the money on the nearest table, leaned her fancy-looking scythe on the same, then turned to the assembled partygoers. "Just a thou'. Nothin' too big. Let's say... first to two apples? That way, if you get too crazy with your first one, you'll push all the rest away, yeah?"

"And..." Satsuki undid her bow and tied it around her face, blindfolding herself! She pulled the fabric down so she could look back at the crowd, then knelt before the tub. "Now, I don't really know any of you, but surely someone's got the lady-balls to put their money where their mouth is." She smirked, fixing a challenging gaze onto each of her potential opponents. "No pun intended."

Just in case somebody gets here before them, the person who'll take Satsuki up is already reserved. Still down to do other stuff with Satsuki and the apple pit later, but I also wouldn't wanna monopolize the apple pit.

"Thanks! Your costume's awesome!" Skylar grinned at Gil, picking up a bunch of her cards and putting them in a stack. Before she could hand them to her friend however, she saw Gil swept away into a hug by a much taller woman. Just then, she heard someone make a challenge. Sounded fun. She laid the half deck on the ground on the ground for Gil to pick up when she was done hugging her friends, and approached the pinkette in the center of the room.

"Y'know, it ain't smart to throw away money, but it's a sweet deal for me, so I'll bite." Sky said, wearing a cocky grin on her face as she approached Satsuki. She pulled out her own thousand yen, placing it on the table next to her rival's own. She took off her witch's hat, and untied the ribbon, which she would use as a blindfold. "Ready when you are." The brunette said, the orange piece of cloth tied around her eyes.

Sure enough, an American-looking witch took Satsuki up on her challenge. After another few seconds of narrow-eyed examination, though, the pinkette realized that she'd actually heard of the girl kneeling in front of her. Sure, Satsuki typically preferred to know as little as possible about her potential opponents, but it was impossible to live a day in the world of LAW without hearing about some of her colleagues. Especially one with a reputation as unique as this girl's.

"Oh, I do know you. Jones, yeah? Skylar Jones. You yell at people on Twitter then beat the shit out of them in the ring." Satsuki shot her opponent a wide, toothy, mischievous grin. Skylar was a woman that she'd like to get to know, if only because she seemed like a surefire way to get into some fun trouble. "I'm Satsuki. You seem fun. Let's talk after I kick your ass." With that, she slid her blindfold down her face and started to count down.

"Three... Two... One... GO!" And just like that, Satsuki was off. She instantly splashed her face into the water, voraciously flopping her head around and feeling for apples, trying to bite down on anything she could find. The other LAW affiliates in the room would be free to watch, side bet, or simply continue to mill about as they pleased, but Satsuki didn't care about them. This contest between them would be over in a flash, sure, but until then, the world only contained her and Skylar Jones.

Just the way she liked it.

"Heh, sure I'm down to hang out when I'm done wiping the floor with you." Sky teased, returning Satsuki's mischievous grin before the two girls lowered their blindfolds, covering their eyes in preparation for the game. When Satsuki finished counting down, Sky immediately dove in, getting her hair wet as she managed to grab an apple with her teeth.

As she tried to lift the red fruit out of the water, it would seem she bit down too hard, taking a bite out of the apple which plummeted back into the tub. Sky gulped down the chunk in her mouth, before diving down again, grabbing another apple, which she successfully retrieved, dropping it on the carpet before diving in once more.

Being a little woozy from the fall, TORA lay there, basically staring at the ceiling as she was approached by Allie. Eyes darting over to the lady who just happened to check on her. At least someone seems to care.

"Could be... Better, but OK."

She would say whilst making out a shaky thumbs up gesture, stumbling over some words as she would try getting herself back to her feet, but it readily seemed apparent that she might need some assistance in doing so due to her inebriated state. One may have to wonder on what the heck has TORA been up to before showing up to the part, much less not bothering to get into costume. Either that or the snazzy outfit she is wearing may count as one, who knows. The announcement of apple bobbing though did make her turn her head in intrigue, though as she sat up instead, planting her arms on the floor behind her, just seeing the challenge happen.

Allie winced a little at seeing the state TORA was in. From the slurring in her speech and her general lack of coordination, it didn't take long for Allie to realize what was going on with her - that TORA was, as a matter of fact, quite drunk. After all, Allison had been in such a position herself more than a few times, so she definitely knew someone a few drinks past lucidity when she saw one. Still, she offered her hand to help guide TORA to her feet.

But TORA didn't seem in a rush to get back up, and she propped herself up on her elbows to turn to the apple bobbing tank. As she did, Allie looked around, and a smile crossed her face as she saw where everyone else was headed. "Oh-! This should be fun to watch..."

Like TORA herself, Allison wasn't particularly invested in joining in the games. She was perfectly content to watch, though she clapped her hands and cheered as Satsuki went to the tub. Was it because Satsuki was the only one here she could at least claim to know personally? Yes. Yes, it was. But that was something, at least. "Go Satsuki! Kick some ass!~"

Gwen would see that the attention seemed to gather in a small apple picking contest, something she had never done, but seeing the situation, it seemed very funny, and while all that was happening, Gwen would feel a hand on her shoulder, and turning around with a smile, she would see something that she did not expect at all, noticing the clothes and hair, she knew who it was.

Well Gwen, you convinced me to wear this outfit, I didn't think it would be a good idea, but the pictures Kiara sent me made me change my mind, and there seems to be a funny situation now..

Gwen was happy to see that Fenrir had agreed to wear the costume, which even though a lot of it had nothing to do with her, the patch made things a little fun to do, so laughing a little, Gwen would tell Fenrir
