To say that Erin was excited was an understatement. The woman was practically bouncing off the walls backstage. She could hardly sit still and had resorted to wandering and pacing around the backstage area. Going through her head was a mixture of amazement that she had made it this far and anticipation for what was still to come. Finally as the match was about to begin, in an attempt to keep her out of trouble the staff had corralled her into a corner where she would bounce up and down on her toes as she waited for her cue. "Alright Erin. Gonna go out there and kick some ass!" The woman said, throwing a few punches in the air and trying to pump herself up.

Soon the familiar tune of "I'm Shipping up to Boston" began to sound throughout the crowd. It was time for Erin to make he entrance. The redhead would burst from backstage and make a run for the ring. Full of energy Erin grabbed the top rope and vaulted over it to get into the ring. Erin would then rush to the corner and hop up on the ropes. She put a hand down on the turnbuckle to balance herself before addressing the audience. "Hope you're all ready to watch your future champ put on a show!" She yelled at the top of her lungs.

Now with a wide grin on her face Erin would step down and lean against the ropes to patiently await her opponent. Erin was eager to start the match up though and was hoping the other woman wouldn't decide to make a flashy entrance. As far as the Irish wrestler was concerned it would just be delaying the inevitable and making her wait longer to have some fun.

Welp. Here Chris was. Fresh off another win and only one more round to conquer before the finals. She could do this. She knew she could do this. And she had convinced herself that her opponent knew that she knew she could do this. Nothing was going to stop Chris Kelly from conquering this middleweight tournament! All of these rounds were just speed bumps that the blond was refusing to slow down for...and none had come close to making her crash and burn because of it. So with her star spangled attire on, Chris would start running out of the locker room ready to win her next match!

“The Phoenix” would play throughout the arena as the fans cheered loudly. And basking in their screams was Chris herself while she walking out of the entrance. Arms raised as she waved to the fans, the American icon would walk down the ramp enticingly before coming to the ring. Chris would roll right under the ropes and pop back onto her feet as her eyes locked onto her opponent. The Irish spitfire looked pretty rough and tough, but the blond was both of those things and hot as hell!

“Heya kiddo! Looks like lil’ ole’ you and me are gonna need to have tussle!” Chris would say as she approached Erin. “Don’t worry bout holdin back now, though. I’ll be kickin yur lucky ass over the rainbow and back to Ireland if you do!” the goddess would warn as she leaned forward right in the woman’s face.

Then after a brief stare down Chris would break the tension she created by poking Erin’s nose. “Boop! Just kidding shamrock~ Let’s have some fun!” She’d laugh before backing away so the match could start.

Erin watched her opponent walk towards the ring with what appeared to be an extra spring in her step. The redhead would have to correct that soon enough. In just about no time Chris was in the ring and walked right up to Erin who had been waiting as patiently as she could to get the match underway. Before she could as much as say good luck though Chris had started talking. The irony of her first comment was not lost on the readhead. "Ya know we're the same size right? If anything I'm bigger." She tried to correct. Her foe didn't seem to interested in that technicality though.

After listening to her foe go on for a few moments Erin couldn't help but roll her eyes. She was a bit surprised Chris thought anyone would hold back at this stage of the tournament. As far as she was concerned if anyone wasn't giving it their all they had no reason to be there. The redhead refused to move as Chris leaned forward, instead just giving her a slightly confused look. Had she been trying to intimidate the Irish brawler it was failing. Erin suspected that this was just her opponent being a bit too energetic though.

Suddenly Erin felt a light poke on her nose and winced. "Hey!" She yelped before taking a quick step back. "Yeah sure. Gonna have plenty fun kicking your star spangled ass Miss America." Erin quickly responded before sticking her tongue out and falling back to her corner. While she would have liked to lean against the corner she could feel the adrenaline pumping through her causing her instead to bounce slightly on her toes as she anticipated the start of the match.

"Hahaha! But I'm older kiddo! And that's what counts!" Chris would rebuttal while backing away, after Erin thought she was talking about their sizes. The Irishwoman didn't seem to like being poked on the nose, either, as she winced. Her next comment really got the blond's attention, though, as she claimed she'd be kicking the goddess's ass tonight. Normally such a remark would anger and opponent, but Chris was anything but normal, and she took it like foreplay (Even though she knew it wasn't meant to be). She then took it as far left as anyone possibly could...

"Oh? So that's how you like it? Looks like today's my lucky day! I'm really excited now, Shamrock...Just don't be gentle with me~" the goddess would giggle before she stuck her own tongue out, though a lot more lewdly as she made a licking gesture. The woman then turned around with a wink and went back to her corner. Making sure to give Erin a nice view of her ass as well, the American Icon would give her rear a hard spank before pointing to her opponent. The stage was set for a battle now, and with both woman bouncing on their toes, the bell would ring out loudly to signal the start of the match!

"Here I come, kiddo!" Chris would shout out enthusiastically as she approached Erin rather quickly to engage in a fierce lock up between them as she looked to wrap her arms onto the red head's collar and shoulder!

Erin sighed. It seemed obvious that if she were to argue it would be no better than yelling at a brick wall. She'd much rather just get to punching stuff and so the redhead leaned against her corner, waiting for the match to start. "Yeah I don't plan on it...that's kinda what this is about. I'm supposed to kick your ass." Erin explained, clearly not getting the innuendo. It was an interesting feeling for her being on the explaining side of an issue since she was usually the one with a thick skull. Chris's gesture got the point across though, causing the Erin's face to slowly turn the color of her hair for a short moment. She would only raise an eyebrow at her foe's next display. "Hey! Why did I get the weird one?" Erin turned to the referee and started to complain before chucking a bit to herself. "Ugh I bet the others don't have to deal with this."

Soon it was time for action and Erin quickly approached the middle of the middle of the ring. She didn't quite appreciate the nicknames she was being given but she'd just have to make sure her opponent was no longer in a condition to be speaking. Chris wanted to lock up and Erin was happy to oblige. As always the Irish brawler was looking to show off her strength. Immediately pushing with all she had the redhead would try to push her opponent all the way back towards the corner. She might not have had a solid plan, but the time it would take to get Chris to the corner would certainly be enough for her to think of something.

Chris was giving Erin her all to force the woman backwards...but the problem was that her opponent was clearly the powerhouse of this match. A few moments after colliding with the woman, the blond goddess ended up being pushed back at an alarming rate. One step...two steps...two steps again...damn it another two steps...

"Urk! O-ok...wow...looks like you've...got some real...mean muscles...Shamrock~" Chris would groan as she was still being forced backwards more and more. "Ggggggrrrrr...god...damn...stop...moving...backwards!" the goddess cursed to herself as she was only a few feet away from the corner.

The American Icon just couldn't seem to stop this Irish tank! Realizing that she couldn't match up rather quickly, though, Chris would move on to plan B. The blond woman would then just give up completely and back into the corner before raising her hands. Chris didn't like relying on a ref...but she needed a break to separate herself from Erin. If the ref girl did manage to get her opponent to move back, then the goddess would taunt the red head by blowing her a quick kiss...and turning around briefly to slap her own butt.

Step by step Erin pushed her foe back. It wasn't until Chris's compliment that Erin would flash her first real grin of the match. "Haha thanks! Home...grown!" The woman replied, shoving her foe into the corner. As far as the redhead was concerned the match was as good as over. She proved that she was the stronger of the two and even got Chris to recognize that fact. There wasn't much else Erin really wanted. A shiny belt however would be a nice addition to her wrestling outfit though and the prospect was enough to keep the redhead going.

Suddenly Erin heard the referee calling her off. She gave the woman a confused look before complying and backing off. "C'mon ref...I didn't even get to hit her." The redhead complained. She shot a glance back at Chris to see what she was doing. While the crowd was obviously loving the blonde's display, Erin didn't seem to appreciate it as much. As far as the redhead could tell her opponent wasn't taking the match quite serious. "This is a match ya know. Like I'm trying to kick your ass. Can't ya at least PRETEND to be trying to do the same or something?" The redhead commented. While she was always one for a lighthearted match, there was something about this one that was beginning to get under Erin's skin.

"Back to ass kicking!" Erin finally declared once she deemed Chris had gotten enough time to reorient herself. True to form the woman would go right in, stepping forward and throwing a hard punch at her opponent's gut. There would be time to give her butt a kick later, but for now the redhead needed to flatten Chris first.

Chris was happy to get a 'thanks' from the fiery woman. It seemed like Erin was rather proud of her muscles, and the phoenix's compliments put a nice looking smile on her face. Of course, that would soon change when they got to the corner.

Chris may have seemed like she wasn't taking this seriously as she smacked her rear at the woman, but truthfully this was just her style. She could already tell Erin was going to be a tough challenge, but at the same time, the goddess was a free spirit. She was always playful in the ring, and used it to her advantage by flustering her opponents. Erin here was no different in this case, and she would be getting up close and personal with all of the blond woman's techniques!

So when the Irish brawler came at her with a punch to the gut, Chris would spring her trap! If she couldn't overpower Erin with strength alone, then the American Icon would use the corner itself against her opponent by turning around at the last second and kicking both legs out! That way, with her back still against the turnbuckle, Chris would try to blast the hot headed Erin backwards by landing her boots into the woman's chest.

"Hmm, well I'm not gonna pretend...but I'm more than happy to do some kicking!" The blond would shout before she attempted to send Erin flying back. Chris needed to show her opponent that she wasn't going to be an easy win, and that she was serious about this match in her own little way. Hopefully this counter should do just that!

As Erin took a step forward to try and lay a beat down on her opponent, she was met with what might as well have been a brick wall. "Gaaaah!" She yelped as a pair of boots hit her right in the chest. The redhead stumbled back a few steps before falling right on her ass. Clearly in shock the woman just blinked while she tried to figure out what had happened. A smile soon returned to the brawler's face as she began to laugh. "Hahahaha ok...That was dumb. I deserved that." She commented before pushing herself back up. The crowd seemed to agree as a few were laughing with her.

Bringing her palm to her opposite fist Erin grinned. "Now you're finally talking my language though." she said with renewed interest for the match. It appeared this match would be more challenging than the redhead initially assumed. That was far from deterring the brawler from continuing though, in fact it only spurred her on. She didn't find a match fun if there wasn't a good amount of competition after all. She just hoped that would be close to the last time she got knocked on her ass. Regardless Erin knew she'd always find a way back up.

Now that she was on her feet, the matter of how to deal with Chris was a bit more pressing. Somewhat unfortunately Erin's head was almost void of ideas. There were a few tactics that usually worked for the redhead and so for the most part she stuck to what she knew. Her go to plan was usually offense, offense and more offense. As such Erin would look to respond with strikes. If Chris wanted to use her legs then Erin would try to get her back twice as hard, now coming at her foe with a powerful kick aimed right above her hip.
