Reiko looked on in anticipation, waiting to hear Candy's opinion about the meat presented to her that would be mixed in with the rice. Wide eye and anxious, she heard the comment from Candy. Even if it wasn't one of complete amazement, the simple acknowledgement of saying that it was good was enough to bring a big smile on Reiko's face.
"Hehehe score one for Japanese cuisine! I'll show you more foods to come Candy!" she said as she started to dig into the food, the meat's juices had soaked into the rice it was sitting on and giving the rice a more punch in flavor as she started to devour the meat and rice combo!

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Candy Cane would smile a little as she looked on at Reiko who seemed to be overtly happy that Candy Cane at least said that it was okay, even thought it was rather delicious. She would soon shake off the smile an just proceed to dig in as well as she could into the lovely Japanese food. Savoring the flavors as best as possible.
" So, Zero..." Candy Cane would speak out as she would nod her head towards Reiko. " What's next for you? I mean knowing that you are the second best wrestler in LAW and all has to be tough, but what are you planning to do now?" Candy Cane spoke out as she struggled her way through eating the meal with chopsticks.

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Reiko was digging into the food, letting out squeals of joy every now and then when she got a particularly juicy burst of meat. "Hm?" she let out as Candy asked her a question, lowering her bowl to look at her friend all the while completely ignorant of the piece of rice that had gotten stuck to her cheek. "Me? What's next for me?" she repeated to make sure, her face getting a little red when Candy asserted about her being Number 2. She couldn't argue it, Candy did win 2-1 in their series so she had bragging rights.
"Well, seeing how there's much more variety of competitors here, I'm going to see just how well I stack up to them and then eventually climb my way to the top! Nothing too crazy. How about you? What are your plans?"

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Candy Cane would tilt her head a bit at Reiko asked that question right back to her, placing her bowl right down onto the table as well, the Canadian would shake her head a little. " Honestly, I've got no clue. I guess try and show everyone here that I'm the best around? Maybe see if I can't get that belt that has been in the works for the past like...what? 6 months." Candy Cane chuckle out. " I mean talk about building up suspense!" Becky let out in a mocking tone.
The redhead would then look out at the people around them. Before turning back to Reiko, she'd lean forward and flick away the rice from Reiko's cheek, making sure to flick Reiko's cheek in the action. " I need to beat Aisha up as well, fuckin' hate that bitch. Though, when I become champ...I'll make sure to give you a chance at losing to me again." Candy Cane let out with a grin on her face.

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Candy's mocking tone flew over Reiko's head, despite being on the receiving end of it for the past few matches as the Zero Fighter's eyes lit up when conversation of the Middleweight belt got brought up. "Oh I know right!? The collection of women that are in that tournament is phenomenal!" she perked up, but then she remembered the crushing blow of losing to her opponent for the qualifier, Gabriella Guerrero.
Not only was the taste of defeat bitter, but how she lost it as well with the ref girl confusing her for trying to use a weapon. Reiko unconsciously scowled at the thought as she gripped her chopsticks tightly, it was worse than just losing a chance to become the First LAW's Middleweight Champion, it was a whole another level of bitterness to lose when she felt like she should've won!

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Candy Cane honestly wasn't expecting Reiko to be so happy sounding about the whole ordeal. The Zero Fighter had been in the qualifying round and lost so she hadn't exactly been in the tournament. Yet, Candy Cane knew that Reiko was tough, one of the toughest that she had faced. Knowing that there were someone that Reiko had faced off against who took her place in the tournament kind of made the Canadian want to beat that other gal up.
" Eh, none of them hold a candle to me." Candy Cane scoffed at Reiko's words, as she would take a sip of water. She couldn't help but feel a bit snuffed at the thought that she wasn't one of those who had been chosen to even be in the qualifiers! Even though she knew that she could take that belt from whoever managed to get it...

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Reiko caught herself getting too hung up over her loss, even if it had burned into having been thrown off of her game when her opponent had trick the referee into thinking she had used a weapon of all things. She didn't want to bring down the mood she was having with Candy, even as the Canadian was expressing that she'd beat them easily. She wish she had that level of confidence. "Well not all of us can't be like you..." she mumbled out, her inner frustration seeping out despite her best attempts to hide it.
Quickly she would shake her head, trying to hide that slip up and hoping Candy didn't hear it as she turned her attention back to the food. "Don't you love it when the rice absorbs all the juices from the meat?" she quickly let out as she took another mouthful of rice and meat and let out a coo of delight when she was hit with another burst of flavor!

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Candy Cane could clearly hear the words of Reiko as she mumbled under her breath, placing her glass down against the table she could sense a fair bit of resentment from the Zero Fighter, but for now Candy Cane would ignore it. She would shrug her shoulders a little and then resume eating her meal.
Reiko's attitude turned back to her cheerful demeanor soon enough as she went back to talk about the food again. Candy Cane would be forced to nod her head in response to Reiko. That peppy attitude was rather infectious, even to someone with as good of an immune system as the Canadian Punk-rocker. " It's pretty good, okay." Candy Cane said as she was continuing to eat the food, despite how difficult she was finding it to use chopsticks.

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Reiko smiled out, enjoying the time she was having with Candy despite the girl's outer appearance of gruff and 'too cool' for stuff that would normally push people away. But Reiko saw through that, that there was more to the Punk Rocker than she'd let out to others.
Letting out a smile as she heard Candy continue to say how good the food was made Reiko feel all the better, she would've been crushed if she brought Candy to a place she didn't like, especially with her current crusade of taking her to different kinds of restaurants that only her home land could produce! "Hehehe...I'm glad you like it."

Re: A Dinner to Settle Things (for Jalter)
Reiko's sincerity was still pretty odd and awkward for Candy Cane to experience. She had never been good at making friends, and it was rather odd that Reiko was willing to hang out with her. The goodie goodie Zero Fight hanging out with the punk-rocking Candy Cane, it was a sight for sore eyes. Yet it seemed as if Reiko enjoyed her company? That was a first...
Candy Cane didn't complain, but she sort of had a lingering feeling in the back of her head that it wouldn't be long before her attitude and mentality drove Reiko off. It had done so to so many other people, but the Japanese one had stuck around longer than most, who wasn't in it for profit or the like.
The redhead would shrug her shoulders, a faint blush on her face as she continue to eat her food. " Mmh, So Zero...didn't you have a sister or something? What happened to her?"
