Unreasonable Demands (Part 1)

Aozora had set up a meeting with the CEO of LAW. She had scheduled it after Rebellion had won their first tag match. She had a lot of questions, in fact, she was wondering who the LAW General Manager was. She was now wearing her usual a dress and a large smile could be seen on her face. She had an Ipad with her so that she could pull up footage from the matches that Rebellion had taken part in.

Though the Manager was feeling a bit nervous. Though she had booked a meeting, she had not done her research. After all, she could not find out LAW General Manager no matter how much she research so when she booked a meeting with the CEO she had done no research. She had no idea who the CEO of LAW was but hopefully, she would be nice and could eventually tell her who the General Manager was.

The Japanese Manager would exit the Elevator and make her way down the hallway and towards the boardroom. She would then knock on the door and wait for a reply.

It really wasn't very often at all that anyone set up a meeting with Mr. DeFranco. Despite having put care into employing and compensating every member of the ever-growing LAW roster, he had already had a few of his more unsavory wrestlers show up to his office unannounced. Despite these inconveniences, there was little remorse to be had. The reality of it was, it wasn't like he was doing much in his work quarters, anyways. Though he'd deny such allegations if they were ever made towards him.

Then man sat upright at the large table in the boardroom. He leaned forward and stared into his laptop screen with a hand under his chin. Dan was observing the events of the Middleweight Championship Tournament unfold. He had just watched as Navi Florges hit her finisher on Masako, presumably to finish her off, when he heard a knock. It was then that the Owner of the wrestling organization slowly got up. The tall, dark skinned man adjusted his tie and walked towards the door. Clad in his usual white shirt and black suit, he'd open the door to the room and greet Aozara the same way he had greet everyone else who had tried to make time to see him or get his attention backstage in the more corporate areas of LAW's confines.

"Hello, Miss Aozara. How may I help you?"

Aozora waited for the door to be opened. She didn't have to wait long but a bit to her surprise she was greeted by a male. She would enter the room and look around, it seemed that only her and the person that opened up the door was here. “I was supposed to have a meeting with the CEO, I am wondering where she is? Are you perhaps her assistant? Either way, it doesn't matter, I need to speak to the General Manager of LAW. I have been unable to find them or any way of contacting them so I thought contacting the CEO would be the best way to go at it.” stated the Purple hair Japanese manager as she started to write a few things on her Tablet and open a few files up.

Dan wasn't particularly enthralled with the way Aozora walked past him and into his boardroom. However, before he could outright display any dissatisfaction, the woman directed her attention to her tablet and dismissed the man. She asked to see the CEO with full expectations that it would be a woman of similar demeanor and status to her.

DeFranco would stifle a chuckle before responding. It had only just occurred to him at this point that, not only did Aozora not know that he was the CEO, she also didn't know that the CEO and General Manager of LAW were the same person. "Ah, my apologies. I think I can fetch the CEO for you. She's usually quite busy. I might be able to grab the General Manager as well. Perhaps you could help me with that, actually."

He'd then slowly raise a finger and point to her tablet. "If you wouldn't mind, could you look her up her name for me? I just want to verify the pronunciation. I only started working here recently and I don't want to leave a bad impression by saying her name wrong when asking for her."

As Aozora looked up some information on her tablet before then hearing the comment about the assistant. “Help, isn't this your whole job? What are you doing here, if you're not going to help me? What kind of assistant are you? You are just as useless as all the other employees here. I guess if you want something done, you have to do it yourself.” stated Aozora as she then shook her head in disappointment.

She would then start to pull up the information herself. Looking up the CEO name. After a moment or two, she would finally get the name. “The Chief Executive Officer name is Dan DeFranco. Sounds like a guy name but then again girls from different cultures could have guy name like that. As for the General Manager, I cannot find her either regardless of how much I research, hence the whole reason I am here.” stated Aozora as she then looked at the man. “I don't see what is so hard about pronouncing that name. Sounds like you were just making up an excuse since you don't know their name, some assistant you are.” stated Aozora in an annoyed tone.

DeFranco simply smiled in the face of the repeated insults hurled his way. He had already committed to this act and was intent on seeing it through, just to get more shock value out of the situation when the Japanese Manager had finally connected the dots.

With his hands in his pockets, the man would peer overhead and look down at Aozora's tablet as she looked up the CEO. He'd rummage through his pockets as he did this, waiting for the woman to bring his name up before pulling out his employee ID badge. He would hold it up towards her face such that she could get a clear view of it. The badge was ornate, embroidered with a LAW logo written in cursive. His name clearly visible and spelled, and right below it, his job titles clearly specified: CEO and General Manager. After holding it there a second, he'd be quick to comment.

"Really? It's weird. You wouldn't believe how many people have mispronounced it. Makes me scratch my head every time, I swear." As he finished his statement, the tall, formally dressed man would casually toss the badge onto the boarding room table.

"Now, I'm not much of an assistant, as you might have guessed. My comfort zone lies in...more administrative roles. Personally, I don't care what you say about me. But you did mention that my employees are useless? What's that about, Miss Aozora?"

As she was pulling up the information, she would suddenly see the assistant employee badge, it had the same name as the CEO. Wait, did that mean he was the CEO and was playing a prank on her? Not only that but it also said he was the GM as well! Her eyes would widen as she was shocked by this revelation. That being said, this would only last a second as it then turned into a scorn.

“WHAT! YOU ARE THE CEO AND GM! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. NOT ONLY DO YOU HOLD BOTH POSITION BUT YOU ARE ALSO A GUY! I DEMAND THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY APPOINT A FEMALE GM!” yelled Aozora in a hostile tone, not even bothering to acknowledge the question that the CEO had asked her.

Aozora's sudden outcry rang Dan's ears. He'd wince, partly in frustration with her attitude and then look at her foe a moment before slowly lifting his shoulder and shrugging in exaggerated fashion whilst answering the manager.

"Uhhhh.....no?"

He wasn't aware of why this meeting was scheduled, but it was safe to say that DeFranco believed this appointment was a waste of time. Perhaps he was right to remain as isolated as he usually had been from his wrestlers and staff. After all, who would have believed that anyone on the roster, wrestler or otherwise, would take such issue with a man...for being a man? At least, that was the CEO/GM's thought process.

Hearing such an answer only angered Aozora even more. “WHAT?!? FIRST, BEING BOTH CEO AND GENERAL MANAGER IS FAR TO MUCH POWER FOR A SINGLE PERSON. SECOND, THEIR IS TO MUCH RESPONSIBILITY AND WORK FOR THE CEO AND GENERAL MANAGER, THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER TALK TO US. THIRD, AS THIS IS AN ALL FEMALE WRESTLING LEAGUE, THIS MEANS THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS ONLY GIRLS UNDERSTAND, MEANING WE NEED A GIRL IN CHARGE TO UNDERSTAND US!” shouted Aozora at the top of her lungs, clearly still fired up about the situation. At this point, nothing would probably calm her down.

Despite Aozara emphatically declaring her points of contention with DeFranco's position in the company, the screaming was more than Dan wanted to hear or put up with at the moment. Halfway through her ranting, he'd cover one of his ears and wince in pain.

"Ugh...jeez, look I'm talking to you right now, aren't I? Or should I say I was? This meeting was certainly an experience. Let's not have one again anytime soon, alright?"

He'd take a step towards the meeting room door and open it before gesturing outside in exaggerated fashion. He'd heavily imply that it was time for the purple haired manager to take her leave. He really didn't want to have to resort to calling security to have the lady forcibly removed from his building.
