Velia didn't know what to expect from LAW when she signed up, but, if Marzia was anything to go by, this was going to be tough. Velia was going to try for another lockup when her opponent got behind her and locked in a sleeperhold of her own! Silver Heart half wondered if this some sort of psychological ploy, but, soon that was dissipated as the hold tightened. Velia wasn't going to go down that easily either, so she began to elbow her opponent in the stomach, trying to break the hold before it did any real damage...

Silver had begun to lower herself into a stance again, but Marzia was ready. If the two locked up, it would put them at equal foting, leaving whoever could score the advantage to pull ahead. But Marzia didn't want that. If she wanted to prove she could succeed, she would have to keep the pressure up on her opponent as long and as hard as she could. She could afford no mercy; every move had to be one that would help her take dominance! And that was what was going through her head as she looked at this moment as an opportunity to bend her opponent to her will, getting behind Velia to apply a tight sleeperhold of her own!

Much like Marzia herself had, Velia began throwing elbows behind her to try and shake her opponent off. She shuddered as a strike landed against her stomach, her knees buckling as she started to stagger forward. But Marzia couldn't let that slow her down. That would make her weak! She already wasn't doing as well as she would have liked, so she would need to meet Velia with an even more punishing offense to make up for it!

Fighting through the pain, Marzia pushed herself to keep at it. Her teeth clenching in focus, she pulled back harder against Velia's neck, dragging her up against her body. The muscles in her arms bulged and tensed as she steeled herself, determined not to let go. She began to twist from side to side, wringing at Velia's neck in an attempt to keep her from aiming her shots.

Velia soon realized that simply striking at her fellow Italian opponent asn't going to break the hold, as she soon felt herself being shook around like a ragdoll. However, Marzia had to realize the Silver Heart wasn't just a silly nickname. Silver Heart would seize her opponent by the midsection, and hoist her up in a suplex attempt, not only would this more than likely break the hold, this would put some serious damage on the loud mouthed Roman.

The pain in her midsection still throbbed where Velia had struck her, but Marzia wasn't going to let that slow her down. She grit her teeth in a snarl, steeling herself to hold down even tighter against her fellow Italian's throat as she tried to grind down her stamina with a sleeperhold. She wasn't going to let go until Velia forced her - or until she passed out!

But in her focus on choking her opponent out, Marzia didn't realize Velia was devising a counter of her own. Her arm was snaking around her waist, falling into place - and Marzia didn't realize what she was setting up until she felt her lock her arm into a clench. She glanced down at the source of the sensation, but it was too late - Velia had swung the two of them back off their feet, and they came crashing into the mat with a thud!

The impact shook Marzia, who coughed and sputtered as she bounced against the canvas. Her arms fell from Silver's throat and flopped limp at her sides. She let out a groan, the world around her still spinning - she needed a moment before she was ready to get back up, a moment Velia no doubt wouldn't afford her!

Silver Heart had been impressed with her opponent so far, but, she didn't expect anything less from a fellow Italian. However, when she heard the satifying thud of Marzia's body on the canvas, coupled with the release of the hold, she couldn't help but smile. Silver Heart would crawl toward where Marsia had fallen, and wrap her thighs around her head in a headscissors attempt. Althouggh she wouldn't complain about a submission, the main purpose of the hold was to further wear down her opponent, and let Silver Heart catch her breath from Marzia's sleeper hold...

Knocked on her back from Velia's suplex, Marzia had absorbed the force of the impact. She lay out flat, slowly rising and falling as she tried to get the air back in her lungs. Her opponent had been keeping the pressure on her, and Marzia knew she was going to have to be careful if she didn't want to be caught up in her trap. But right now, she was struggling to will the energy into herself to get up, let alone fight back. And that created an opening her foe wouldn't overlook!

Velia crawled over to where Marzia lay, throwing her thighs around her head and squeezing down! Marzia's teeth clenched as a shudder went through her body, her muscles locking up against the pressure. She could feel the firm sensation of Velia's legs closing in more and more against her head, causing her temples to throb. But Marzia wouldn't let herself be pushed around, and she wasn't about to lay there and take it! Gnashing her teeth and growling in fury, she reached up toward Silver's legs, throwing a few slaps and jabs at her thigh before she would grab onto her legs and try to pry them apart. If she needed to, she'd try to create some space for her to breathe by force!

Silver did not expect to get a submission or KO this early, so when Mazia began punching and prying her thighs apart, she wasn't particulerly surprised. If this was a male opponent, they would be more...reserved to their fate, as it were. But, the Roman was a different sort, and soon her efforts were paying off, as Silver Heart felt Marzia begin to pry her legs open. Before Marzia could do anything big, Silver Heart abandoned the hold and rolled away to safety. Silver Heart slowly got up, "Looks like we're at a stalemate..." said Silver Heart passively...

Marzia did, admittedly, feel a blush coming to her cheeks as she felt Silver's thighs tighten around her head, the embrace warm and firm and pulling her in closer against her groin. But any lustful thoughts that might have crept into her brain weren't welcome - they were a distraction that was only going to hold her back, and she needed to commit herself to putting Velia in her place! Clenching her teeth, she reached for her opponent's legs and latched on, slowly but surely wrenching her legs apart. She let out a defiant roar as she forced her legs aside, and soon Velia rolled away, getting to her feet.

For a few short seconds, Marzia lay there, panting for breath as she tried to recover from the headscissor. But she couldn't just lay down and make herself vulnerable! She pulled herself to her feet, shaking herself out and slapping her own face to focus her mind on the match. Then, she looked back up at Velia, her teeth bared in a snarl. "Psht, yeah, yeah...won't be one for long!"

Marza began to storm closer, her fists balled at her sides as she squared up with her foe. As she came close, she would move to grab for Silver's arms, going for another lockup.

Velia had to admit, she admired her opponent moxy and tenacity, typical of a fellow Italian. Silver Heart, however, wasn't just a pretty name, thought it was, as she accepted the lockup, even though it appeared, at least to Velia, that their strength was equal. Maybe Marzia had something else planned, but, Velia had one too. If the lockup wound up in the expected stalemate, she would push her opponent's arms away and lock Marzia in a tight bearhug. It may not be the fanciest hold, but, it sure was effective...

Marzia wanted to get Silver into the lockup just long enough to control her - once she was on even terms, she had her sights set on taking the lead. She wanted to steer her opponent back enough to line her up for a hit, pushing up against her to break her momentum. But Velia was a step ahead of her, and her reflexes proved quicker than Marzia had given her credit for. Before the Roman could lash out, Velia shoved her back. As Marzia's body reeled, her arms dropped from Silver's own, forcing her to break their mutual lock - just long enough for Velia to snap her arms around Marzia's waist, pulling her into a bear hug!

"Gahh-!" Marzia hissed under her breath, twisting and turning from side to side. She bucked and writhed in place, trying to disrupt Silver Heart's hold on her. She would make it quite clear that she had no intentions of being held down for long! Her hands grabbed for Velia's arms, trying to push them down to force her to let go, while she kicked her legs below in an attempt to shake Velia off.
