Kyoko Kobashi vs. Lily Sniper

Back in the locker room, Kyoko was getting herself hyped up for her next match. Of course, she got hyped up about every match; she honestly got hyped up for most things in general. Either way, though, she was excited for what the next match would bring! She knew that her team, the Heartbreakers, were rising in LAW, and she was eager to get another victory under her belt.

She'd heard that she'd be facing off against Lily Sniper, a name she recalled as a famous one in the world of wrestling. That got Kyoko even more excited! Not only that she'd get to meet someone so prominent in person, someone she considered an inspiration to her career (if she was thinking of the right person, anyway), but that she'd get to beat her as well! The Heartbreakers could only attain more fame - and notoriety - if they could prove themselves superior to a former tag team champion - and Kyoko was determined to ensure that would happen!

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Coming first to the ring, from Tokyo, Japan, at 5'6 and 125 pounds, representing the Heartbreakers, KYOKO KOBASHI!"

As the lights came up, Kyoko stood atop the entrance ramp, facing out at the crowd with a grin on her face and waving her hand in the air. Despite her eager entrance, she was still met with a few boos from the fans who recognized the less-than-above-board tricks the Heartbreakers had shown themselves keen to use in their matches prior to this one - and one thing not helping Kyoko's case in that regard was the fact that she had decided to carry a baseball bat with her, the weapon dangling from one hand as she used the other to wave to the crowd. She slung it over her shoulder as she came the rest of the way down, where the referee was quick to question her on it before she even got in the ring.

"What, this?" Kyoko asked. "That's just for the entrance, it's fine!" The ref girl was less than convinced, but let out a sigh as she backed away to the center of the ring. That left Kyoko to climb into the ring after leaving the bat leaning against the ring apron, sliding underneath the ropes before climbing to her feet and stretching herself out.

After Kyoko had settled in the ring, it was time for her opponent, Lily Sniper, to make her entrance. The titantron displayed the highlights of Lily's previous matches, including the ones that she had outside LAW.

"And now, introducing her opponent, from the United States of America, standing at 5'9" and weighing 150 pounds, representing the Sniper Sisters, LILY SNIPER!!"

The former Wrestle Angel stepped out to the ramp, wearing her neutral expression. But as she stepped down the ramp, she flashed a small smile as she raised her arm, showing it to everyone that she was here to win. Making her way to the ring, she kept her eyes on the figure in the ring, her opponent, whom she would be facing in this match.

Once she reached the ring, Lily would climb up the apron. Once she was inside, she would look at her opponent while preparing herself for the match. She had nothing to say, unless if her opponent decided to approach her first. Lily was focused on winning this match, so she prepared herself by doing some light stretches.

Kyoko wouldn't be the only one in this match who was known for her tag team career. As soon as the screen flared to life with clips of Lily's past exploits, on her own and with the Sniper Sisters, the crowd voiced their excitement with a cheer that rose up from the stands - and Kyoko herself joined in, clapping her hands and hopping up and down. The referee gave her a look, confused as to why she'd be cheering for her opponent, but Kyoko merely shrugged her shoulders. As Lily entered the ring, though, she looked up to face her, her grin growing wider with excitement as much as it was with confidence. She could hardly believe she was across the ring from someone she'd grown up watching.

"Hiii!" she waved. If Kyoko was here with her team, they would surely admonish her for disrupting their image with her eager enthusiasm. But when they weren't, she was free to get carried away as she liked. "It's so cool to really see you in person! I used to watch your matches all the time! Lily, uh...you're the cute one with the long hair, right?"

The ref looked back at Kyoko with even more confusion when she saw that she'd gotten Lily mixed up with her sister Corey, especially given that Lily didn't even fit the description she'd referenced. She shook her head and rolled her eyes, but nevertheless stepped aside to let the two wrestlers take center stage.

Lily looked at Kyoko, who seemed to be planning to speak to her. But when Kyoko started describing her sister instead of her, Lily was almost caught off-guard, a surprised look on her face. But she would quickly regain her composure, coughing into her fist. "You know, this is the first time someone mistook me for my sister..." Lily said, shrugging. She didn't really mind the mistaken identity, though she honestly believed that the girl before her needed to get her eyes checked. Last time she had long hair was years ago, back then when she was still in Wrestle Angels.

Now that it was time for the two of them to clash, Lily rolled her arms, readying herself to face Kyoko. Facing the younger woman, Lily breathed out, silently psyching herself for the upcoming match. She needed to ascertain what kind of wrestler Kyoko was first. Once both wrestlers were ready, the referee then called for the bell, starting the match. Once the bell was rung, Lily would adopt a stance, raising both her hands as she prepared herself to grapple with her opponent. First, she would shimmy to the side as she tried to see what Kyoko would do now that the match had started.

For a moment, Kyoko stopped, looking back at Lily with a pause. She raised an eyebrow, her eyes wide with confusion. Then, though, she laughed it off, chuckling as she placed her hands on her hips to look back at Lily with a determined grin on her face. "Oh-! I guess I got that mixed up, huh...well, it doesn't matter! Either way, I'm gonna do my best!" It was an honest mistake, and Kyoko wouldn't let that keep her down!

With the bell ringing, the red-haired girl dropped into a stance, raising her fists. Kyoko watched as Lily drew closer to her, her eyes narrowing as she watched her carefully. She saw that Lily was coming into range, looking as though she would be in the right position to open the match with a traditional lockup or test of strength. It would be a position that put both competitors on equal footing, leaving it up to whoever was stronger and tougher to take control...which meant it wasn't something Kyoko normally dealt in. She didn't believe in fighting fair, only in doing whatever she needed to to prove her strength and dominance! As such, she was looking to gain an early advantage, and as Lily came into range, Kyoko would swing a kick straight toward her to open things with a bang!

...Only to look up with a gasp as her foot struck thin air. It appeared Lily had out-psyched Kyoko, as the veteran had swerved to the side just before the two were in range of each other! The delinquent looked out with surprise, blinking a few times in confusion. Nevertheless, she wouldn't let herself be outwitted for long. "...I meant to do that!" Narrowing her eyes, Kyoko whipped herself around in an arc, looking to slam her leg into Lily's side with a roundhouse kick!

By shimmying to the side, Lily managed to avoid the kick from Kyoko. At the same time, Lily's brain went to work, trying to predict what her opponent would do next. She would stand her ground, rooting herself as she lowered herself slightly, lowering her center of gravity. True to her prediction, Kyoko followed her failed attack with another attack, this time a roundhouse kick aimed to her leg.

"Nnghh!!"

Lily winced when Kyoko's leg struck hers, but almost immediately, she would react to it by attempting to grab onto Kyoko's leg before straightening herself up. Holding Kyoko's leg by her hands, Lily was planning to bring her opponent down with a dragon screw takedown, hoping to put some damage on this leg.

If the first attack had whiffed, the second time was the charm! It might have been annoying that Lily had been able to dodge her shot, but the match was still young, and Kyoko had energy to spare. Besides, her leg was already held in the air, and it was no trouble at all to transition into her next move, as she whipped that outstretched leg around in an effort to connect a roundhouse kick that brought Lily low!

Kyoko watched as her opponent bent at the knees, sinking toward the ground. She grinned, pleased with her efforts - but before she could capitalize, she saw that Lily wasn't done yet! Her eyes widened to see the former Wrestle Angel grab onto her leg before pulling herself to her feet. The shift in Lily's balance was already enough to strain Kyoko's stance, as she bent back to try and even things out - but she couldn't stop Lily from bringing her to the mat with a dragon screw, spinning around in place as the two were swept off their feet and landed with a thud!

Kyoko shuddered as she hit the ground, shaking herself to try and clear the cobwebs from her head. But she had no intentions of letting Lily hold the advantage for long, and she kicked out toward the veteran with her free leg, trying to hold her at bay!

Lily managed to take Kyoko down with a dragon screw takedown, but before she could capitalize on this, Kyoko kicked at her with her other foot, forcing Lily to let go of her foot. Letting out a hiss as she lost her grip on Kyoko's foot, Lily staggered a few steps back before righting herself, regaining her footing. But Kyoko would be able to recover from the dragon screw, and Lily had to come up with another strategy to take her down.

So, Lily decided to allow Kyoko to pick herself up. She would keep her eyes on her opponent so that she could see what she would do next. At the same time, she was thinking of her next move, and she maintained her gaze on the younger woman so that she could ascertain what to do after this.

With a thud, Kyoko landed on her back. She bounced against the canvas, dizzied and gasping for air - but she knew that Lily was still up, and still making her move! Kyoko knew she had to act fast if she wanted to get the former Wrestle Angel off her tail, especially with Lily still holding her leg. But before she could do anything else to her, Kyoko shot out with her free leg, landing a kick that sent Lily stepping backward as she released her grip.

In addition to inflicting damage, the blow would buy Kyoko more time. She sat up from the mat, catching her breath. This turn of events would only slow her down for a moment, though - Kyoko had plenty of energy and stamina to spare, and she would soon perform a kip-up to bring herself back on her feet. Without skipping a beat, she came running toward Liliy, lunging toward her as she came close as she attempted to land a dropkick!

Lily watched as Kyoko kipped up to get herself back on her feet before the younger woman charged towards her. Bracing herself, Lily would prepare herself for what to come before Kyoko launched a dropkick at her. Deciding to take the hit head on, Lily would bring her arms up, shielding her body with them, though it would still hurt her arms, and she would stagger back upon impact.

"GHH!!"

Groaning, Lily would back off, moving towards the ropes so that she wouldn't lose her footing. Her arms felt sore after she used them to shield herself. She presumed that Kyoko would land on her back after hitting her with the dropkick earlier, and Lily would take this opportunity to recover at the ropes as she would maintain her gaze on her opponent.
