Astrid was still staggered from taking the blow to the head, but what surged even more powerfully in her was her willpower, and her determination to win against all odds. She knew she was up against a foe who didn't just want to defeat her, but to hurt her, and to ensure the champion would never be able to boast of her success again. Even if she might have hurt, Astrid was determined not to let that happen, and the knowledge of what she was up against gave her the extra motivation to succeed!

Gripping Widow's shoulders, Astrid gave a forceful shove at them. The veteran had been caught off-guard, unable to prepare herself for the full brunt of Astrid's assault. That worked in her favor - but so too did the amount of force Astrid put behind her push. She grit her teeth, sucking in a breath that caused the veins to bulge in her neck, as she summoned the strength she needed to drive Widow to the mat, forcing her to crumple like a tin can! Astrid glared down with fiery eyes as Widow went down, her legs forced apart in a painful-looking split. Though Widow rolled to the side, the damage had been done - and it was damage that Astrid could take advantage of.

She wasn't about to let Widow get away from her. Chasing after her opponent, the blonde bent down to grab Widow by her leg, bending down as she did to drape it over her neck. She placed her other leg across Widow's back, looking to wear down on her already wounded legs with a stretch muffler! Astrid knew that much of Widow's arsenal revolved around her leg strength, and it was that asset she had to target!

Clutching her left knee with her hand as she felt something strain. But not hearing anything pop is good as she thinks it more of a strain injury or cramping up. The bad thing is her left leg is where a lot of her base and twitch comes from especially when it comes to her stardust kick to add the extra impact of said kick, now with her planter leg giving her problems match has swung back in Astrid favor.

Before she could regroup her opponent is right on top of her, her leg being grabbed by Astrid as she crawls backwards to reach for the safety of the ropes but is stopped cold in her tracks. Her injured leg is placed over the Norsewoman neck before being stretched and pulled on, to make matters worse Astrid leg is on her back forcing all of her weight is on Widow back and leg.

"AAAAAUUUUGGGHHHHHH" pushing herself up using her hands, looking for the ring ropes seeing that their far away and would have to carry not just her own weight but Astrid as well.

Astrid thought back on what she'd seen from Widow, in this match and others, and what advice she had been given. She knew that the veteran prided herself on the use of her legs, working a lot of kicks and knee strikes into her arsenal, to say nothing of the holds she could perform with them. Many of Widow's signature moves, like the Stardust Kick she often used to soften up her foes before going into the kill, owed themselves to her famed lower body strength. Astrid also knew, both from firsthand experience and her father's descriptions, that Widow was keen on targeting key points of her opponents' bodies to make them more vulnerable to her finishers - most famously, the neck.

All of those things were points Astrid had to keep in mind to protect herself against Widow's brutal moves. But now, she saw how she could use Widow's own tactics against her, drawing on the very strategies that made Theresia such a feared contender in the ring to give her a taste of her own medicine! She saw that Widow's leg had been wounded from her landing, and she remembered how key that limb would be to her plans. It only seemed natural, then, that Astrid would take that asset away from her!

Getting on top of Widow and pulling her leg back over her neck, Astrid assumed a position as dominant as it was devastating. Many in the crowds sent out a cheer, seeing Astrid put the feared veteran in her place. Astrid looked up with a grin as she heard Widow cry out in pain - not only proud that her efforts had such an effect on her, but pleased to know she was capable of making her scream to begin with!

Even as Widow tried to crawl away, Astrid stayed firm. Her teeth clenched, and she shook her head, tightening her grasp on her ankle to keep it in place. "You're not getting away now!" the champion shouted. "Not until you answer to what you've done!" To gather extra force behind her stretch muffler, Astrid raised her hips, going to slam her weight back down on Widow's back as she tried to pull away! Hopefully, that would be enough to stop her in her tracks!

Pain is racing through her body as Widow is stopped cold in her tracks looking back as another jolt of pain rushes through her body from the stretch and pull on her leg, groaning and clutching her head as she bits her bottom lip to prevent from screaming anymore.

'Fuck... You..." she growls out remembering the match where she was forced to tap out against Alaina, refusing to allow that to happen to her again. She would rather have her leg broken then submit to someone like Astrid, as she grunts starting to try and crawl again but with the extra weight of her opponent slamming her weight on top of her back again to force her to carry both to reach the ropes.

The ref coming over asking if Widow submits, but the stubborn woman shakes her head before using her hand to grab the ref by the shirt yanking the ref towards her. Refusing to lose like this Widow risks the chance of hitting the ref so that the ref bump will give her a better chance of getting out of this hold, or if Astrid let's her go at all.

Astrid's eyes narrowed in focus, her chest rising and falling with steady breaths. She had to focus every ounce of her energy on this one moment. Never before in this match had she come this close to victory, but now, she had Widow right where she wanted her. The veteran tried to drag herself to the ropes, but each time she did, Astrid gave another pull back on her leg, yanking down on her ankle to stretch it over her neck. She couldn't let Widow escape! Her heart was pounding faster in her chest, thinking she was this close to victory! All she needed to do was to make it last a little longer!

But then, just as Astrid thought that victory was within her reach, disaster struck. The referee came closer, checking Widow for signs of submission, only for the veteran to lash out and catch her by her shirt! Astrid gasped, hearing the girl cry out in shock. Her eyes snapped toward the scene, looking on with a gasp. Astrid didn't know what Widow intended to do to the official, but she was sure it wouldn't be good!

"HEY!" she cried out. "LET HER GO!" Astrid's eyes went between Widow and the official in her hand, pondering her options. If she kept putting the pressure on Widow, she might be able to get her to submit. But she also ran the risk of leaving an innocent bystander in the path of Widow's rampage. Even knowing that attacks on the referee would get Widow disqualified, she didn't seem deterred. Astrid knew that Widow saw no low too low to sink to, but this was something she couldn't abide by!

She had made her decision. Astrid released Widow's leg, at once getting up from her challenger. She reached out to grab for the ref girl, attempting to push her out of danger.

Desperate times calls for desperate measures and right now Widow is desperate at the moment due to Astrid submission hold on her leg and knee. IF she could she would grab the ref and yank her forward so the ref would slam into her and Astrid to break up the hold, but due to the champion weight on her lower back she doesn't have the strength to do it.

Image her surprise... or good fortune to see Astrid letting go of her leg to reach out and yank the ref out of her grip. Chuckling and laughing at that since always a do gooder would want to be the hero and crap, as she decides to take this moment to roll herself out of the ring to the outside clutching her left leg still.

Slamming her fist into the padded ground tossing another plan that she had, even reaching underneath the ring to grip and grab a kendo stick and drags it out to keep around. Just in case she may need it later on as she crawls to the ring steels and slams her injury knee into the steel letting out a cry of pain. "Fuuckkk.." she grunts out feeling that surge of adrenaline pumping through her body and getting that second wind. Doing all of this she took her eyes off Astrid leaving her open to whatever the champion had planned for her.

The decision to get off of Widow in order to intervene on the referee's behalf was not one Astrid made lightly. She knew that Widow was a wily foe, one with no scruples or concerns for what was honorable or right, and that if she let her free it would only give her more trouble going forward. No doubt Theresia would take this brush with defeat as a sign that she would have to go even harder on Astrid from here on out.

But the alternative was letting an innocent person come to harm. The blonde couldn't let that happen, especially knowing just how ruthless and cruel Theresia was. Astrid was a wrestler. She could handle the pain and effort; it was what she'd trained her body and her mind to do. But the referee was different. In the end, she would get up, pushing the official out of harm's way and releasing Widow in the process.

As the ref grl caught her breath, Astrid guided her back to a corner, looking her over. "Are you all right? Are you hurt?"

The ref nodded. "Fine. But don't worry about me, that's my job. Look out!"

Astrid whipped herself around, facing the ring. There she saw that Widow had gone out under the ropes - and knowing Theresia, Astrid had no doubts that she had something up her sleeve. She didn't notice that Widow had retrieved a kendo stick from under the ring, but she did see that she banged her knee into the steel steps. Hearing the metallic thud ring out, accompanied by Widow's groan, Astrid's attention turned to the challenger. As far as she was concerned, Widow had been slowed down by the damage she'd incurred, and that was high time for her to strike!

Astrid rolled out under the ropes, soon getting to her feet as she stared the fallen Widow down. Then, she took off into a run, jumping up as she got close and kicking out her leg to come down with a leg drop on top of Widow's folded-over back!

The challenger is hurting and her aura is gone. That impression of being invincible and not feeling pain no matter how hard or how strong Astrid was, but now even she is wearily of Astrid strength due to her hurt leg. The crowd getting back into the match for the champion seeing the unstoppable force being stopped, they know that victory is close at hand for Astrid to vanquish the hated foe.

"Ughhhh" Widow cries out as she is slammed face first into the ground, due to Astrid leg and weight landing onto her back. Biting her bottom lip winching as she uses her hand to reach back and clutch her back, throbbing as she spits out a bit of blood from a bloody lip.

"You think... this is going to stop me then your a bigger fool then I thought... " defiant as she struggles to her hands and knees again.

The moment Astrid's leg connected with Widow's back, the crowd lit up with a cheer. To them, this was more than a decisive moment in a wrestling match. To them, this was the moment they'd all been waiting for. Astrid was the champion they counted on to triumph over the odds, and Widow was the woman they'd all wanted to see punished for her misdeeds for a long time - for some of the older fans watching, they'd been waiting for decades. Astrid, to them, was delivering justice that had been a long time coming, and as her leg connected with Widow's back, it was the payoff for all she'd done - all the people she'd hurt, everyone she'd disrespected. Widow might have built herself up as a fearsome foe, a force too powerful to be vanquished, but now, as she crumpled beneath Astrid's leg, she seemed vulnerable. She could be beaten - and Astrid was about to deliver just that!

The blood trickled down the side of Widow's face, the drips landing on the mat as she stared back at Astrid's own bloodied visage. The anger in her eyes was palpable, but she was still on her knees, and Astrid was standing tall, refusing to bend to her. She crossed her arms, shooting a glower down at Widow.

"If you suspect that I'm done with you, you're sorely mistaken!" As Widow began to rise, Astrid would duck down lower, going to throw her arms around the veteran's waist. Pulling her up and sucking in a breath to hoist up the weight of her foe, Astrid would attempt to throw herself backward to fling her onto the floor with a gutwrench suplex!

Her title hopes are slipping away from her as the blood drips from the cut on the side of her face, if looks could kill Astrid would be already dead and buried along with the rest of her family. She hears the jeers, the taunting, the ones wanting to see the champion win and the older fans who know what she did to those wrestlers. Each one is wanting to see her defeated and humbled by the young champion or worse then that since she ended some of their favorite wrestlers careers.

She is grabbed around the waist and lifted up to her feet, her limbs dangling as she is not able to counter or even go for a block to get out of the position she is in. Before being tossed and slamming back first into the padded floor 'AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH she screams out as her back throbs and aches from the move.

She rolls over clutching her back her feet kicking the floor as she groans and winches. The match has turned in Astrid favor but she just needs to endure and strike again...if she can handle the young champion fury.
