The Last Person She Wanted To See

Alaina was just wrapping up a workout, dressed in a pair of red tight short shorts and a white sports bra. She was happy with the progress she had made of late, her weight staying about the same but she had trimmed off some body fat, adding some power to her already incredibly strong frame. Alaina smiled and decided to wrap things up by heading to the treadmill. She was going to help prime her body to keep burning calories by doing a brisk walk on an incline for about 10 minutes to wrap up. She had a fun day with Charlie, Anna and Carl planned. A family day is just what the amazon needed to get back on track.

Alaina was doing all she could to really gear up for a heavyweight title shot. Things like that had to be earned and she was going to do just that, not only looking to win matches but to win a variety of different types. She and Ryu had a "five matches in five nights" challenge, and she would look to take on women in a gauntlet to further bolster her case for a title shot as well as try to sign up for a handicap match. She had a bit of a rocky road lately but she was going to make the best of it and get back to her old self, trying to be as good as she was in her prime to show that age is just a number!

Yoko, similarly, was hitting the gym to improve herself. It didn't do good to not improve herself...after all, adaptation was important in war. Either you get better or you die.

After a warm up, the blonde was pulling herself over a railing, dressed in a red combo of a sports bra and trunks, when she spotted a particular woman she beat a little while ago...and one she really wanted to fight again in Alaina. Once she was finished with her pull ups, she nonchalantly made her way to the treadmill Alaina was running on for about 3 minutes by the time she arrived:

"Well, well, well...look who it is...say..."

Yoko peeked her eyes around the nearby bench, and yanked an open wrestling magazine off of one of the girls training, opening it to a particular page before she showed the image to the Amazon:

"The picture ended up better than I expected. What do you think?"

The image in question was of course, one of Yoko having her foot on top of the Amazon's chest in victory, mere seconds before the Amazon shoved it off of her.

"I need to request a full print of that...I need the poster of this on the wall...wondering on what the title would be...", Yoko tried to dig the knife of being victorious over the Amazon as much as it would be able to go in...

Alaina rolled her eyes as soon as she heard the grating voice of Yoko. That was the last woman she wanted to see. "Oh so you beat me? You think are you better because for one shining moment you triumphed?" Alaina said as she did a slow clap for Yoko. "You wrestled well, even if you brawl as much as you wrestle but I do recall you narrowly dodging defeat so your win had an element of luck to it. I give you credit for winning of course but if we ever met in the ring again the outcome would not repeat itself, of that I promise you." Alaina said as she went back to her walk on the treadmill.

Recently two large blond battlers in the ring had beat the now 46 year old amazon, Samuela won a second time and Yoko the one and only time she faced Alaina. It was a trend Alaina was determined to halt in its tracks. As nasty and overboard as Samuela went in their matchup there was an extra annoying arrogance to Yoko that bothered Alaina, she sort of reminded her of Aurora. Letting your actions didn't speak loud enough for women like that, they had to grab a megaphone and scream their own praises to the world.

It felt good to have her rival acknowledge that she had defeated her, Yoko closing her eyes as she smiled cutely at the Amazon. The words that next time this wouldn't repeat also sounded as sweet as honey to her - there was absolutely going to be a next time, with both women wanting to go at each other again...

...and Yoko actually couldn't wait.

Scanning the room, she saw all rings were occupied, so challenging the Amazon to a harsh spar wouldn't work.

"Tsk..."

As she scanned her eyes through the machines, she did notice that a barbell was free, still unused after Alaina had walked away from there earlier:

"You say the sweetest things, Alaina...but care to put that little theory to the test? Unless you are a bit tired after training for a bit...we could try and do a little contest of strength, trying to lift that barbell and see who could lift more?"

Yoko was fully expecting to hear a yes from Alaina...and if she didn't want to? Further goading and taunting would follow until she got what she wanted.

Alaina stopped and made her way over to stand tall in the face of Yoko. "Gladly. I will put you in your place here and then again when I see you in the ring again." Alaina said confidently. "Lead the way and show me what exercises I will embarrass you in." Alaina added sounding very serious. She was ready to do whatever it took to come out on top, eager to show Yoko that Alaina was capable of being better than she was the night Yoko defeated her.

The two women made their way to the set up for the barbell, the bench nearby readily set up ahead of time for whoever wanted to use it.

"Oh, Alaina, I am sure you will...", she smiled at Alaina, before turning to the bench:

"Current winners first though...and to not completely embarrass you from the get go, I'll start with something simple."

With that, Yoko set up weights that added up to 90 pounds to either side of the barbell for 180 pounds in total, before settling on the bench underneath. Taking a long, deep breath, she grabbed the barbell, and lifted it up from the hooks, before proceeding to lift the barbell up and down from her chest, each lift punctuated with the blonde taking sharp breaths, before settling the bar carefully in it's original position.

"Huff..should be easy enough for you...", she quipped as she stood up from the bench.

Alaina watched as Yoko lift up the 180 pounds... plus the 45 pound bar itself for 225 pounds total. That was a good amount of weight lift for quite a few reps. Alaina stood with her hands on her hips and smiled as she got in position. "Okay Yoko, here we go!" Alaina said as she grinned lifting the bar off the rack before pounding out her reputations in a rapid but smooth manner showing off her power as well as her drive to come out on top today! Alaina did all the reps Yoko did and added one more for good measure.

"Are you going to give me a challenge or are you wasting my time?" Alaina said puffing her chest and flexing her arms. She was actually impressed at how crisp the repititions Yoko did had been but she didn't want to verbally give this woman any positive credit for anything. Still in the back of her mind Alaina knew Yoko was quite powerful herself.

"No no...just wanted to start the challenge off with something easy enough..."

Yoko said the snide comment with a smile...but in her mind she was impressed with the ease the Amazon lifted the bar. Still, she barely broke a sweat herself. Even if Alaina looked like she had a more powerful frame, she wanted to embarass the Amazon further.

She added 25 more pounds to either side of the bell, the total now being 275. Settling herself below the bar on the bench, she took a deep breath...and lifted up, though with much bigger effort this time. She wanted to upstage Alaina from the last amount of reps that she had done, for a total of 7 lifts...but ultimately, by the time the 5th time came around, her arms felt as if they were on fire. Biting her lip, she settled on her previous rep count, growled quietly, and settled the bell above her:

"Huff...how about that then?"

Now we were getting to impressive weight... but still manageable for the amazon. She saw Yoko lifting and showing off and Alaina nodded as she lift but saw the struggle setting in. Now was her moment to show Yoko. "Well well isn't that impressive Yoko? You lift a lot for someone who is made of hot air." Alaina said as she settled in to position on the bench. She gripped the bar and grunted as she lift up. Alaina controlled her breathing and powered through, each reputation as good as the first as she did the same number of reps that Yoko did.

Alaina slid off the bench after and stood up looking over at Yoko. "All right so that didn't embarrass me the way you hoped, how much weight are you going to add to try to put me to shame Yoko?" Alaina said as she grinned, standing with her hands on her hips as she looked Yoko in the eye.

She had to be strategic about it. Yoko wasn't going to lose this contest...but she didn't know the upper limit of the Amazon's strength. Put too much weight on, and she embarrasses herself before Alaina does, too little and she is beaten again...

...so why not do the logical thing?

"Why don't you decide? You set the weights, and I'll lift whatever you throw at me...", Yoko would respond with a smile.
