A Date With Combat

Toshiko made a face as she paced alongside Viviana before meeting her in the center of the ring. Their arms grappled together in a lock-up and Ito held on tightly. Although she cared for her Italian sparring partner deeply, the Japanese performer was hardly about to let that affect their match up--something that Viviana was keenly aware of at this point. Knowing Viviana would win in a battle of strength, Ito was ready to take advantage before Accera could.

The speedier girl would then throw her weight back, dropping to the mat and then attempt to press her boot into Viviana's midsection so she could flip her up and over her. If successful, Ito would then kip-up and then adopt another martial arts pose to study what Viviana would try next! It wouldn't be a devastating move by any stretch, but it would certainly set a pace for them.

Viviana couldn't truly pin down what Toshiko would start the match with, be it a lock up, takedown or otherwise. She didn't imagine there'd be many a strikes thrown this match, given the simple fact that it was easier on the heart to not issue haymakers and kicks to each others girlfriend, but Viviana wouldn't have been offended had there been. Her guard raised as she stepped in, it would be Toshiko who took the initiative, as the tough bodied beauty latched her boot cleanly to Viviana's gut, before she pulled back into a monkey flip!

Eyes bulging and a little yelp given, Viviana would follow suite against her will - her shoulders and upper back landing roughly though with something of a motion to them to take the edge off of the impact. Viviana still ached upon impact all the same, though the motion did allow her to somewhat roll forwards into a sit-up, before she'd try to turn.

Viviana had landed on the mat after the monkey flip, and Ito was already swiftly moving back to her feet, preparing for her girlfriend to attempt some sort of counter, but she was slow to get up, instead moving to sit up. Toshiko scowled slightly. She thought Accera wouldn't be smarting that much already. Or maybe she didn't see any sort of urgency given they were dating.

And Toshiko had decided that she wasn't about to let Viviana just relax on their spar. "You let you guard down!" Ito shouted loudly as she walked right up to the Italian who was sitting up and then attempted to throw a stinging kick to her spine! It wasn't a brutal strike, but it was enough to leave her aching and thinking twice before keeping her back to her. It would be obvious that she wouldn't be leveling all of her force behind it she would reserve for matches, at the very least.

Viviana hit the ground hard, momentum carrying her forward, but she believed she turned herself out from the flip rather well. Rather than simply lay flat, bouncing off the canvas after the flip, Viviana had pushed up to a sit-up before turning onto her knees. Given the time it would take Toshiko to push herself up from having dropped flat to the ground for the monkey flip, Viviana was hoping that she'd be up in time to defend against what came next.

And she was mostly right!

With things heating up, and Toshiko even roaring at the Italian, Viviana's response would be a simple one. Turning into that kick as she came to a single knee, Viviana looked to have it not only come towards her front as opposed to her back, but raise her arms up to catch it!

A fluid motion in mind, as she looked to pivot her top half under and around that clinched leg, to pull her girlfriend down via a Dragonscrew Leg Whip!

The Italian was able to grab hold of Toshiko's leg as she rose, making the Twilight Edge scowl in annoyance as she hopped on her one foot to have proper leverage. She thought she could easily come back with a move. She had plenty of options, and Viviana leaving herself open by grabbing her legs with both hands would easily free her for another strike.

But then Accera showed some technical prowess before Toshiko was prepared. A dragon whip had rolled Ito and her leg to the mat as she let out a stifled yell of pain, cringing and holding her leg at once. Were she in a match, or even a spar with someone she didn't care for, Toshiko would surely have went for a strike with her hands. For now, she was willing to wait and see what Viviana had planned next. She would work from there, and build her offense back up again.

Whilst the leg she had used to pull Toshiko down was briefly released upon following the move, Viviana extended her hand in an effort to catch it once more before it hit the ground, as she herself came to her knees. A follow-up already to mind, Viviana would clench that leg and put it somewhat under her armpit, before falling back to her rear. Her own legs extended, a kneebar would soon come into effect on her muscular girlfriend, as Viviana looked to bend Toshiko's leg at the knee side-ways on over her own thick leg!

"How's this, Tosh Tosh...?" She'd grin as she put down a bit of force - though it was easy to tell that Viviana was not going all out in an attempt to cripple or submit Toshiko. It was perhaps easy to guess why.

Toshiko's brow furrowed as she would attempt to wriggle or move her way away from Viviana's grasp. Unfortunately for her, while the Italian woman had a solid (but not so harmful grip on her leg), she was unable to escape. The kneebar followed, again not using that much force, but enough to make it quite uncomfortable. Ito had managed to keep herself from letting out any noises of protest, trying to keep her cool. That is, until Viviana had opened her mouth.

With a grunt of frustration, she sat up, giving her sparring partner an annoyed look, swiping at her face futilely, a lot less measured than she would normally be, and she shouted, "Don't call me Tosh Tosh while we're sparring!" As she moved on the mat, she continued to try grabbing towards Accera, but without her usual preciseness, it was unlikely.

Viviana's mostly painless hold stayed attached for the moment, until a little giggle fell upon the tall Italian. Her hands releasing on their own accord as Toshiko sat up and swiped, Viviana could barely contain the awkward laughter across her face. Here she was, enjoying a teasing encounter with her partner - and across from her, Toshiko was growing all the more annoyed that Viviana was still treating her casually. Viviana held absolutely no desire to mock Toshiko, she simply found it beyond cute that she was growing more and more flustered!

"But I gotta..." She'd retort with not much else, as she rolled backwards onto her own knees before making a rise. Though not before extending her hands to make a parody swipe of Toshiko's own - her right arm would swing across in the lamest of manners, with her palm open. Given the distance, the chance of even touching upon Toshiko was outright zero. Viviana merely wanted to play with the beauty.

Toshiko's frustration had grown more and more as she tried hard to get out of the kneebar that was expertly applied by her sparring partner. Eventually, Viviana had released her and rolled back, looking giddy. Swiftly, the Japanese girl had rushed to her feet with a scowl on her face, gingerly putting a hand to her knee. And then, she saw Accera swipe at her mockingly. Ito's eyes went wide at the false strike, her face going red as she let out a frustrated growl.

"You don't need to call me Tosh Tosh now!" exclaimed Toshiko before stepping forward and attempting to close the distance between them. Her movement was frenetic, and largely not as precise as usual as she would rush forward and attempt to slap Viviana's arm away before throwing a spinning chop towards her girlfriend's chest, hoping to hit her with a stinging chop in retaliation for this good-natured mockery!

Viviana was intending to get a workout, but not in a manner half as strenuous as her frame was used to. She felt it only natural, given whom she was sparring against.

Arm waving to and fro in a manner that screamed of how casually Viviana was taking this, the Italian was caught out and then some as her beloved Tosh Tosh rushed in, in a considerably more serious manner!

"Heeey no-GHH!" Casual acquaintance going unfinished as she was struck in the bust, Viviana was knocked flat to her back with the utmost ease.

It wasn't a stretch to say that Toshiko had the strength to easily flatten someone with a single lariat or clothesline, but it wasn't power that gave Toshiko her success in dropping the Italian. It was the outright shock of how sudden things just became!
