Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra

Unread post by ragaz »

VS
Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan) vs Korra (The Legend of Korra)
No weapons and no bending.
Speed equalized.
Attires as shown in the pictures above.
The winner is decided based on research and it will be explained after the fight is concluded (warning for potential spoilers after the fight)
Takes place in the ring, in an empty gym
It was just another day at the gym for Korra, working on her athletic physique to perfection. It was pretty lonely in there. Besides her, there were only two other people in there - Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman. Eren was yelling stuff about murdering all the titans as per usual, while Mikasa was pretty quiet, doing crunches, perfecting those abs of hers that could make Korra blush.

Korra herself was doing some lifting before hitting the bag. Then Eren approached her, asked for a spar. Naturally, Korra accepted. The two started lightly, with Eren throwing some punches, Korra blocking them. After a while, Eren got a bit angry for Korra going easy on him, shouting for her to fight back. Korra just chuckled and came back swinging. Eren was on his backfoot, blocking and dodging by the hair, pushing him back and then Korra went in to finish off the assault with a high kick to the chest, sending Eren over the ropes, out of the ring, where he would slide right next to Mikasa's feet.
Korra just shrugged at that. Don't blame me, kid. You wanted me to get serious, so i got serious. She would say with a smile on her face and hands on her hips.

Due to other squad members being busy and Eren needing to build his expertise in close quarters, he challenged Korra to a spar unaware of what was about to follow. Mikasa didn't pay much attention to the ring initially and focused on her own routine. A one-sided beatdown wasn't even enough to describe it for Eren Jeager. Being thrown into a wall by a 5ft fist was less painful than that final kick.

"EAAHHHHHHHHHH!" His scream finally catching Mikasa's attention. Her otherwise stoic expression morphed into shock as Eren laid beside. "Eren..." The young man she adored so much was beaten within her proximity. Kipping up to a stand, she lifted the barely conscious and bruised Eren into her arms, carrying him to a bench. "I'll take care of this..." She whispered before turning around to make a journey towards the ring. Having a finished work out, Mikasa was considering a spar with Eren (holding back a bit obviously), but now there was a little change of plans.

A piercing glare formed on her face as she looked up at Korra. "Why don't we have a spar right now? I can promise it will be nothing like the previous one..." Wishing to teach a lesson Korra wouldn't forget. Although no matter how the bender answered, Mikasa was probably entering that ring anyway.

Korra kicked Eren out of the spar, quite literally. There was someone who really wasn't pleased of the results of the spar, of Korra's excuses and of Korra's expression. The moment Mikasa stood up, the tan Avatar could tell that Mikasa wasn't coming into the ring for a spar, she was coming for blood. Korra could see in Mikasa's face that she would not be satisfied until Korra is unable to get up or worse. It unsettled Korra for a split second and she was about to try and defuse the situation, but then her fiery, hotheaded attitude kicked in. Mikasa was coming for a fight and there was absolutely no way Korra was backing away from it, not until the two settled it. All her life Korra had to contain herself, to hold back, to seek a peaceful approach. However, now a chance to let loose was coming right at her and Korra would welcome it!

So, that's how this is going to be, huh? Korra smashed her fist into her palm with a smirk on her face.

In that case, let's make this fair, shall we? I will not use any of my bending, but I'm not responsible for what happens to you, do we have a deal? Korra would ask, already knowing the answer as there was absolutely no way Mikasa was backing away from this either.
I hope you don't have any hidden blades in there somewhere, do you? Korra would put her hands back on her hips and stand face to face with Mikasa in the middle of the ring.

In usual circumstances, she would have asked for an apology first, but Eren being harmed in such a manner wasn't even crossing the line, more like if Korra scorched it with bending. Even if this woman turned out to be some chosen saviour, the path was already settled, a violent brawl was about to ensue. Having trained her mind and body for all these years, breaking every limit possible, Mikasa was going to wipe that smirk off of Avatar's face after it meets a bare fist.

"I accept your challenge and the Survey Corps shall not be charged for your error." Rules were set in stone thus leading to Mikasa climbing onto the apron and about to meet her opponent eye to eye. Memories flickered every few seconds, almost possessing the Titan slayer to tear the ropes out of anger. Finally meeting Korra in the centre, an brief staredown ensued. "No tiny blades. My fists will be enough to shut you up." Replying to the later statement in a low tone, still controlling her fury under that stoic exterior. Hopefully this end of the bargain would be satisfied, because she wouldn't be allowed to run and arm herself while rocks were flung around.

Mikasa then directed her attention to the third party. "Eren! If you can stand, I suggest you leave now. I can't risk any more wounds" As if confirming her intent to send Korra flying further as karma. Eren feeling less assertive then he was before stood up and limped out of the room.

Now looking at the bender once again "We shall begin when that clock strikes and no later." Mikasa got into her usual stance, one leg in front and leaning sideways. She may as well permit her rival to prepare a brief stance as well even if it didn't matter. Two fighters remained and only one shall leave as the victor. Who will land the first blow?

It seems like thing we're pretty clear for both of the women. It was clear that only one of them would be walking away from this. Mikasa didn't go for any sneak attacks and just backed away into the corner, letting Korra do the same while Eren evacuated the area. Seeing the look on Mikasa's face, he knew better than to interfere.

Standing a couple of meters away from Mikasa, Korra's smirk turned into a serious and focused expression. The time for jokes is over. Even if both the women were showing basic respect to one another as fighter to fighter, both wanted to let loose and beat the shit out of each other.

Korra was in a boxing stance, waiting for the clock to set off. Korra's plan was to make a couple of big steps towards Mikasa immediately. Then she would attempt to weave through the incoming punches while getting a little closer. If Mikasa sent a kick, Korra would jump to vault over Mikasa and then send a kick to her side after landing.

If no kick came from Mikasa, then Korra would just throw a right uppercut into Mikasa's stomach if she was close enough.

There was nothing else to confirm for either. No bystanders would be left harmed. Since this wasn't a life or death situation and only an organised spar (at least for now), Mikasa didn't want to go for any cheap shots and prove she can best her opponent with raw might and skill.

Faces and stances looking almost identical. Mikasa never had time to frolic then and now. Ever since the fateful day, she had to build herself into this one woman army. Today's opponent will be broken but not in pieces like the rest.

The clock sounding substituted for a bell. Mikasa also advanced towards the fellow fighter, except embarking at a slower pace. Not wishing to waste any time, she threw multiple straight punches in an attempt to keep Korra at bay, but the bender proved to be fast on her feet and evaded harm.

Perhaps a change of approach was in order. Even without the air to soar, a kick would still hit like a horse so Mikasa threw a spinning back strike in a bid to counter horizontal movement. However Korra proved to be one step ahead.

"Huh?" Eyes widened from shock. She never witnessed someone jump that high unassisted. After another miss, she left herself wide open for a follow up attack. "Gah!" A leg penetrating her side. Pushed back a few inches towards the corner and quivering, while still standing straight, she would be temporarily stunned. If Korra proceeded to capitalise on her opponent's state, Mikasa might have to tank continuous blows. Provided she can endure long enough, the dark haired fighter would try to seize the bender's shoulders to prevent any further harm. Then Mikasa would spin around and fling the bender into the corner behind them.

Believing her target would be too numb to evade this time, she growled a bit before running towards that same corner. Raising her leg, she aimed to crush whatever was in her path with a spartan style kick. Anger possibly influencing her to use more strength than needed.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra

Korra went in, dodging the punches with her upper body movements while her legs carried her closer to Mikasa. Mikasa opened up with a kick, but Korra was ready to jump over it and over Mikasa while she was at it, landing behind her and smashing a kick into the muscular woman's side. The strike hit with an audible clap and even the stoic Mikasa had a reaction to it. Using the moment, Korra went in to pepper Mikasa with additional punches. The punches weren't as hard and they kept hitting Mikasa's guard. She did manage to land a couple of punches into Mikasa's tight abs after which she saw an opening. Korra winded up a big punch aimed for Mikasa's face meant to make the titan slayer see stars, but this time Mikasa was the one to close in even past the punching distance, grabbed Korra and turned 180 degrees, tossing Korra into the corner behind Mikasa, cracking it from the force of the impact. Ghah!

For a moment, Korra had her eyes closed, when she opened them and readied herself with the boxing stance, Mikasa was already upon her, kicking her straight in the chest. Aagh! Korra let out in pain when Mikasa's foot smashed into Korra's body and as a result, Korra's body broke the corner entirely. Parts of the corner flew off the ring. The remains of the corner as well as Korra were now hanging on the ropes.

If Mikasa followed up immediately, then Korra would probably be just a target, with her arms holding onto the ropes.
However, if Mikasa gave Korra just a moment, then the latter would just push herself off the corner as if nothing happened and charge in with a jumping knee to try and break or soften Mikasa's guard before following up with a rain of punches aimed for Mikasa's face and upper body.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra

Mikasa was quite behind, having her early efforts being dodged rather easily. While capable of a few flips, she didn't think agility would put her severely ahead after a mere glimpse of what Korra was capable of. Being struck by a stiff kick led to Mikasa being stunned long enough for Korra to double on her repeated strikes. "Ahhh...urghhh..." Flinching further from her opponent's assault even with an ab shield absorbing the brunt. Gasping for breath while the bender prepared to send her flying like she did with Eren. Luckily she regained enough energy to leap towards Korra and seize shoulders. Not only the ringout punch was interrupted, but she managed to inflict some serious damage...to the corner.
Before she could be halted again, Mikasa kept her opponent at bay with a swift Spartan kick, not even flinching from the collateral damage or flying debris. Korra and this arena has yet to see the true extent to her power.

Immediately capitalising on the temporarily defenceless bender, she took a large step forwards before throwing a few downward jabs onto Korra's belly for good measure. Then Mikasa put her arms against the fellow fighter's neck for a clinch, forcibly raising the Water tribe native up a little while the Ackerman pummeled her with repeated raised knees to the chest area. "Give up..." She uttered in a more raspy voice than usual.

If Korra was left too winded, Mikasa would pick her up by the shoulders and turn around once again, hoping to use her strength to perform an overhead toss so her opponent would be inflicted with a rough landing.

Mikasa now had Korra on the ropes, quite literally. After the Spartan kick indirectly smashed the corner into pieces, Korra was left leaning against and holding onto the ropes.
Korra was about to step forwards and throw a few jabs, but Mikasa did so first, smashing her fists against Korra's muscular, but exposed belly.
"Ugh.. nnhh.. TS..." Korra hissed with every hit.

Korra's hands went to grab onto Mikasa's arm that was pressing against her neck before the Avatar's chest got pumped by a series of knee strikes from Mikasa. "Ugh... Gghrr nnhhah!" That was a bit more sensitive area than her abs, but the real blow came in the form of words. She wanted Korra to give up?. It got Korra's blood boiling. This woman was clearly underestimating the Avatar. In response Korra just chuckled. "Heh, is that all you've got?" Korra replied mockingly.

The only response she got from Mikasa was getting tossed across the ring, but if Korra was a ragdoll, she was a one agile ragdoll. First she landed on her hands with which she then pushed off the mat for another jump and landing on her feet.

Korra would then turn around and dash right back in before fucking and sliding to a stop with a sweeping kick. If Mikasa fell, the Korra would spin forward in the air and bring her leg down on Mikasa's head like a buzzsaw.

If Mikasa avoided the leg sweep, then Korra would try following up with a number of punches aimed at the face and body and if she wasn't in some way prevented from doing this, she would follow up with a jumping left knee which would then turn into a right roundhouse jumpkick.

Re: Attack on Avatar - Mikasa vs Korra

Mikasa wailed on the cornered bender with repeated strike, a little bit fascinated by how her opponent's body didn't already cave in. Before Korra could think of shoving her foe away, Mikasa doubled down with knee strikes aimed at a more vulnerable area.

Midst her anger she at least was merciful enough to offer a chance of surrender, but that was suddenly laughed off. Said offer will not return again. One could glimpse Mikasa roll her eyes upon hearing the Avatar chuckle. The ideal response to this situation was to throw it all away line in previous spars, but once again agility saved her opponent from another damaging blow.

Not slowing down either, she stepped towards Korra in a guard stance ready to block any repeated punches, except they weren't coming at all. Unable to jump in time, Mikasa lost balance completely and landed on her stomach with a large growl. She couldn't nap for long as the guillotine loomed above. Fearing like her nape would have been severed, Mikasa only glanced up for a split-second before rolling out of harm's way.

As soon as she kipped up to a stand, the Titan slayer wasn't given any room to breath. Having exerted energy in dodging the kick, she was left to multiple punches colliding into her form, gasps following after. Each successive strike staggered Mikasa, leading her towards the edge. The final punch would strike the Ackerman's facial area. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Sounds similar to a wounded beast reverberated around the room. Korra was this close to breaking her opponent's nose, but that reality may come soon. Shaking while crouched down, she instantly realised about needing to interrupt the enemy before sent down again.

Leaping towards Korra before the jumping knee could be in motion, she tried relying on a trick from an old 'friend'. Suddenly looping her bicep underneath Korra's left armpit also crossing the neck area. If this kept the Avatar immobile temporarily, she bent forward and tried throwing the fellow fighter to the mat for a takedown, keeping their bodies together until the impact. Provided this throw went through, the soldier pulled back her arm, attempting to straddle her target's waist. What would follow was a repeated ground and pound onto Korra's face if not evaded.
