The heavy sounds of the song reverberated throughout the arena, signaling the arrival of Cali McCloud clad in her red body suit. In her third consecutive We Are Law appearance, Cali is the busiest she has ever been. While she failed to capture the Heavyweight title last year, Cali wasn't willing to let that deter her as she bounced back and would be competing for the Lawless title later in the night. But first, Cali needed to deal with a annoying but cute problem in the form of Jem Holland. Despite the thrashing that Cali gave Jem in We Are Law 2019 and the two wins she scored over the streamer in her own home, Jem was still insistent in facing off Cali in the ring and despite Cali's protests, LAW management felt that the "rivalry" between the two turned out to be a popular subject among the fans and Cali had no say in the matter.

Cali sighed as she climbed into the ring and posed for the crowd, smiling all the while. Whatever her gripes were, Cali wasn't going to let Jem spoil the night. She'd crush her like she has three times prior and in record time as she has a title hunt to look forward too.

Despite Cali decisively getting the better of Jem each time so far, fans and management alike did seem to take stock in their rivalry. Perhaps it was the way Jem never lost heart despite the crushing losses, perhaps it was because of how dominant Cali looked when facing Jem, perhaps it was both. At any rate, Jem was indeed insistent still. Part of her felt bad requesting this match despite knowing Cali was growing annoyed with it. But she was going to see through it anyway. There was simply too much she had to prove!

Jem's theme began to play on the stadium speakers. Her dedicated fan base all around the arena recognized it and cheered instantly. It only took a moment for Jem to arrive. Over her usual wrestling leotard, she wore a black shirt, white text in the front.

"Cali mains Hanzo" it read. The shirt earned more than a few chuckles as Jem began to make her way to the ring, microphone in hand because, of course, Jem had a knack for talking. When she finally entered the ring she looked across the squared circled to Cali. Jem put on her bravest face and approached her.

"Cali, I , uh, I know you don't wanna hear me talk much. You wanna get this match over with and move on. But I have something I wanna say. Something I wanna get off my chest." Jem looked down at her own chest inadvertently.

"Er, forgive the shirt. The merch department wanted tee shirt ideas. I was kinda salty at the time. To be honest, you really do seem like you would main Hanzo, though."

"Look what I wanted to say was we've come full circle, haven't we? Last year at this very same pay per view, you put yourself on the map. You beat me, you went on to rise through the ranks, winning your way into number one contendership and a shot at climbing the mountaintop, a shot at becoming the LAW Heavyweight Champion...."

"Even though it didn't end up happening, I think everyone can agree that this past year, you've done pretty well for yourself."

"Now I've got my fans, but I think everyone here can agree that you're the favorite to win our match. I'm sure you think so too. But that got me thinking. What if everything comes to repeats once more? Your meteoric rise to the main event started when you beat me at last year's We Are LAW. So what if, what if my big break comes if I beat you this year? I've already talked to management and sold them on the idea. People already want to see Cali vs Jem 4 right? Then why not make it interesting? LAW management agreed that if I beat you tonight, I'll be in talks. Talks for the Middleweight Championship! So tonight is do or die for Jem Holland!"

"Cali McCloud! Get set! To GET WREKT!" Jem pointed to Cali from across the ring as she discarded her mic. Just like last year, the chants and roars in support of the e-girl filled the arena! The bell rang and Jem approached cautiously as she looked to lock up with Cali and put on a better showing against her career rival than she ever had previously!

Cali saw that Jem had a microphone and reflexively rolled her eyes as the blonde started to talk. Facing Jem wouldn't have been so much of an issue if it wasn't a constant thing in previous weeks and if Jem had learned ANYTHING from their encounters. As Jem grew closer, Cali noticed the text that read "Cali Mains Hanzo" and balked the statement, physically recoiling as a result. Jem climbed into the ring finally -- hearing the declaration that if Jem were to succeed then she would be in the talks for a shot at the Middleweight title and Cali could only sigh once again before the bell rang. This time Jem didn't immediately rush towards her in a cross body attempt, a sign of improvement. Unfortunately for her, Cali didn't want to spend anymore energy then she needed too and as the two neared each other -- Cali lunged forwards and wrapped her arms around Jem before throwing the e-girl overhead with a belly to belly suplex.

Cali's sighs, eye-rolling, and general reactions earned some laughter from the crowd. There were many who found Cali and Jem's rival entertaining, but there were also those that sympathized with McCloud's feelings of annoyance.

As the bell rang out, Jem seemed to take a more careful approach than usual, allowing Cali to take the initiative in the onset of the match. The heavyweight woman rushed the e-girl, closing the distance right away and securing Jem in a Waistlock so that she could throw the middleweight overhead for a Belly to Belly Suplex to start things off!

"Woah!" Jem initially yelped out in surprise as she was sent skyward. Cali had put a good amount of force into the throw! Jem had soared through the air, but not aimlessly or haplessly! The charismatic streamer flipped forwards and landed on her feet! Jem would land somewhat gracefully and pop up to a standing position. She'd walk forwards with her index fingers extended, putting heavy emphasis on each individual step! Jem would style and profile, shrugging off the Belly to Belly with some theatrics, much to the crowd's enjoyment, and likely Cali's annoyance, once again! If left uninterrupted, Jem would finish up her taunt with a body roll, feeling herself up from toe to head before turning around to face Cali with a wink! Cheers would fill the arena as Jem began showing off her usual brand of flair and gusto in this anticipated PPV match!

Cali tossed Jem overhead, expecting to hear the familiar sound of the human body crashing against the canvas. Instead the sound of Jem's landing was quieter than Cali thought and she turned to see that Jem had managed to flip out and land on her feet, posing for the crowd in doing so. A small grin formed on Cali's lips as Jem turned around.

My God, did she finally train? Cali wondered, hunching over as she was now started to take the match seriously. With her arms outstretched, she looked to lock up with Jem for real and see if Jem actually prepared for their match or not.

Jem had always been able to hold her own in the ring. Yet particularly when it came to wrestling Cali, she had always somehow played right into the Southern Strongwoman's hands and gotten squashed in short order. Gone were those days in Jem's mind! With the support of her roaring fam base and a new line of tee shirt merch, the E-Girl had all the charisma and hype in the world to show she was on par with McCloud and then some! Jem genuinely sought a chance at redemption tonight! And by God, was she gonna strive for it!

"Amateur hour!" Jem would remark as she turned around to see Cali running towards her, arms outstretched! Jem was hoping that her taunting would draw some aggression from Cali, and when Cali came running, Holland would spring into action! Jem would drop down to the canvas and to the side. She'd attempt to scissor her legs around Cali's down and trip her up with a Drop Toe Hold! If all went according to plan, Jem would take advantage of her position in the ring by the corner, and trip Cali such that her foe would fall forwards and face-first into the middle turnbuckle! Should everything go according to plan, Jem would be quick to follow up by sliding an arm between the heavyweight woman's legs and rolling her back and away from the corner into a Schoolboy Pin!

"Count it! Count it! Count it!"

Admittedly, Cali didn't expect Jem to drop down and trip her up. The momentum was enough for Cali to lose her balance and slam her face into the turnbuckle. She grunted from the impact and stumbled back before feeling herself be pulled to the canvas with the shoulders down as Jem attempted to get the quick pin.

"ONE! TWO!"

Cali flailed her thick legs until she was able to kick out of two, nearly losing the match in an embarrassing fashion. Cali was quick to get to her feet and throw a wicked right handed punch towards Jem's jaw as a receipt.

Jem was off to an impressive start! With a charismatic display of her in-ring abilities and a surprise roll up, she was just one count away from redeeming herself against Cali McCloud once and for all! But Cali at this point was stronger and tougher than she ever had been. And Jem and her collective fan base found that out the hard way when McCloud kicked out with authority and popped up to her feet quicker than Jem did!

"URGH!" Holland groaned in pain as Cali swung a mean right hand at her! The punch connected with Jem's jaw and left her laid out at Cali's feet! Jem grabbed her face with both hands. She rolled to her side and tried to collect herself. For her good showing in the first half minute of this contest or show, all she had going for it now was a seemingly annoyed Cali, and the referee who was lecturing McCloud on her use of a closed fist! Fans would rally behind Jem in the hopes of seeing the E-Girl regroup!

"Sorry ref!" Cali said in a slightly mocking tone after decking Jem a bit harder than she had meant to. With Jem on her knees however, Cali bent down and wrapped her arms around the waist and lifted the blonde in a gut wrench position. Cali walked around the ring with Jem in toe as she showed off her strength before slamming Jem down with a gutwrench suplex.
