Demona vs. Sakura Haruno (D): Strikers Showdown

As Demona connected with the kick, she once more had her blank face. Though in spite of her cold gaze, she had internal annoyance as Sakura seemed to take the hit with grace and refused to go down. Just what was this woman made of anyway? She had never encountered humans this stubborn or durable, and she had to gall to try and taunt her to boot!

Well trap or not, Demona charged as she would try to deck the pink haired annoyance with a clothesline as she'd try to wrap this up once and for all to finally get some peace.

Sakura taunted her opponent and it seemed like it worked, since Demona came at her like a locomotive. The kunoichi saw the clothesline from a mile away, so she focused her chakra into her fists, ducked below the move and then sent a meaty uppercut into Demona's abs, again. Take this! Sakura would shout out while sending out the blow, hoping that it would stop her opponent in her tracks.

If it all worked, Sakura would followup by sending another uppercut into Demona's stomach, then another and another, continuing this while shouting out a battlecry. If Demona started blocking that spot or hardening it like the last time, Sakura would immediately switch things up and go for a wide hook aimed for the blonde's cheek.

And this time, it seemed Sakura was in control as Demona's one moment of raw emotion cost her as Sakura ducked down to avoid the shot right to her exposed gut which caused Demona to cough out as a light shockwave sounded from the sheer force of it. This girl packed some punch, so naturally when she came swinging for consecutive strikes Demona shifted her dark tattoo to her gut and raised a guard to absorb the blows best she could.

Course, this left her face exposed as Sakura struck a clean punch in the cheek as Demona had been sent sailing back and crashed with a thud on the ground. This served to both bring pain and a touch of anger from the usually deadpan demon, as she slammed her hand on the ground out of frustration before she sighs. Settling as she worked to stand back up.

With a focused glare, she charged at blinding speed as she aimed to move behind and kick Sakura's back.

Despite the expression of the demon, she was itching to put Sakura down and so the blonde heeded the kunoichi's taunt, which made it predictable and Sakura managed to land a few solid blows deep into Demona's stomach before the inhuman lady started protecting it with that dark stuff again. Punching it felt like hitting an impenetrable wall. Either way, Sakura counted on it, switching it up, she landed a meaty haymaker at the Demon's pretty cheek, sending her to the ground and probably somewhat breaking Demona's stoic attitude. How's the taste of dirt for you?!
Sakura used the moment to taunt her foe.

Because of either the punch or the taunt, or maybe both, Demona was quick to get up and dash at Sakura so fast, she disappeared from sight. Sakura swung her fist forward in order to catch the lady demon, but by that point, the latter was already behind her. Realising this, Sakura gasped in shock, soon followed by a short yelp of pain that was caused by a kick that sent the kunoichi rolling and rolling on the dirt until she hit a rock which made her stop.

PUFF!

Sakura's body poofed and went up in smoke and in its place, only a wooden log remained. Sakura would appear behind Demona and would attempt to backhand her with right hand aimed at the side of Demona's head.

Demon landed a clean hit, or rather a presumed one as any momentary satisfaction from the unfeeling demon faded in a hurry as Sakura was replaced by a log of all things as once more this ninja and her tricks managed to get one over her. Or behind her as it should be more accurately pronounced as Demona caught Sakura's reappearance behind her a hair's breath too late.

A thunderous sound of the backhand sent Demona flying to the side as she managed to somehow land on her feet but the blow left a light bruise as she glared at her pink-haired rival and cupped her cheek as the force of it packed a punch that would split a lesser's skull.

That substitution fakeout worked and Sakura managed to land a nice bitch-backhand on the demon lady that sent her flying.

Sakura was pretty bruised and there was blood on her face, but seeing even the smallest changes on Demona's facial expressions made her smirk, especially seeing Demona cup her cheek after the blow.
Heh, Did that knock some sense into you? Sakura taunted, using that time to bring her breathing back to the norm.

Or maybe... You want me to whack you some more..?

Sakura wanted to see Demona's blood boil and she was determined to bring that out whether it was by words or by pummeling Demona's body into paste. Sakura would wait a couple of seconds for some kind of witty answer before dashing at bluring speeds towards Demona, her fist reared back, ready to take Demona's head off her body.

"Bold words from a little girl who got a lucky shot..."

Demona's tone betrayed no emotion, merely a declaration that she was not gonna allow such a minor strike to be cause for celebration. Though in spite of her tone, her eyes the aura that crackled around her. They all told the story, and since Sakura made it her goal to tick her off Demona changed the goal she had for this clash.

"I don't want anything. I will tell you what is going to happen. Before this is over you will beg for mercy and regret ever bothering to show your face to me.

Demona charged forward, with her enlarged darkness fist as she aimed to slam against Sakura her punch be damned. Determined not merely to break her opponent's body but shatter her will for her insolence and unearned arrogance.

The fight was getting progressively more heated, both women being adamant about defeating the other. Every time Demona would get an advantage, Sakura would trick her, constantly annoying the ever stoic, naked demon lady.
The sun was starting to set and Sakura felt Demona's power increasing, especially after the kunoichi mocked her.
Sakura knew she could do this, she just had to go in and try harder and best Demona in fisticuffs

So, Sakura cracked her fists and charged in at the demon lady, ready to pound this woman into the ground. HHyyaaahhh!!!Ghaaaackh??! Sakura had her fist wound back, ready to smash, but then Demona's black matter thing arm extended and smacked Sakura across the field to the side. Sakura was a bit shocked/surprised by the extension of the arm and was now bouncing off the ground, rocks, stones, smashing through trees, unable to retaliate or stop herself. She made a note in her mind for the future that she'd have to evade Demona's counter attacks until she got right in front of Demona before she could start throwing hands. But for now, she was just a vulnerable tumbleweed girl.

Now that the kunoichi had been knocked back, Demona felt it was time to teach her a lesson of what happened when one made the unfortunate error to try and screw with her. A dark aurd seemed to build up as her strike landed and left Sakura momentarily vulnerable and Demona had no intention of letting Sakura get back into the swing of things.

This girl had humiliated her a few too often, and now the demon who rarely showed emotion beyond apathy was gonna make an example of her.

In a flash Demona got right in Sakura's face and began to rain blows in the ninja; first an uppercut, then a right and left hook followed by a gut shot all in succession of each other and curiously each blow seemed to gain more and more strength than the last. A demonic technique Demona had not expected she'd need on a human, but each blow in each successive blow in a "chain" would bring more pain and punishment as Demona aimed to make Sakura her ragdoll.

Sakura really shouldve been more careful in her approach and now she's paying the price for it.
The kunoichi was tumbling and bouncing off the ground. By the time she stopped and was on her feet, Demona appeared right next to her. "Ah!" Sakura yelped in surprise. Her hands went up to block but she was too late and an uppercut rocked her head back and forcing her a step back. "Aaahh" sakura lost all her progress on defense and get punched in the cheek right after, rocking her head to the side.

"Ookh!" A jab to her stomach folded the Kunoichi a little, but another uppercut rocked her head back again. "Ghah!" Sakura just could not put her guard up.
