Re: It's Been A While...
"I don't make the rules Clara... I just follow them. Only one battle occurred and I was the victor!" Kay whispered with a playful arrogance to her tone, before she folded her arms and lifted her head to look down her nose upon Clara as if she were part of some uptight member of royalty. The two ladies couldn't help but giggle afterwards however, and Kay struggled to keep the facade going for long, biting her lower lip in a delicate manner before she returned to her previous and more relaxed posture.
She began to listen intently as Clara began to speak and explain what she had been upto during her time away in England. In truth she already knew a few things given the two of them had kept in touch online for the most part... but still.. it was good to listen to Clara in person after so long, and especially see her with her own eyes and not through a monitor. Given how technology was these days, everything was high def and crisp... but it still wasn't the same as being in the actual presence of another... and Kay had missed Clara. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face, so much so it was beginning to hurt her cheeks a little.
"Very nice! Fitness coach! You'll have to show me your routine sometime! I can see you being a wrestling teacher too in the future... you already taught me a few tricks after all. I've been taking them to heart." Kay spoke. Clara certainly had it in her to teach others, and no doubt it would be a good career choice for her... however the beautiful English woman was still young and had a career in actual wrestling ahead of her first, but later in life no doubt it was something to consider when she had done and beat everyone.
"I've seen your movies... you were amazing! I didn't realise there were so many accents in England though, I couldn't understand some people talking in one or two of the films, I had to put the subtitles on. My favourite one was the horror flick you were in, it's actually gaining a lot of traction I hear... might even be a cult classic before you know it." Kay giggled, getting excited when Clara began to mention her acting career.
"I didn't know you were on stage theatre though. Check you out Shakespeare. Oooh... please tell me you've got some filmed, we could have a night watching you perform!" Kay added.
"I'm so glad you've been doing well whilst you were out there. You look different now... healthier... more confident in yourself. I'm glad you came back though. Next time you decide to have an adventure, let me know... I can always be your wing girl." Kay spoke with sincerity.
"So what are your plans after you beatdown the French bitch? Gonna' gun for a belt?" Kay whispered with a cheeky smile.

Re: It's Been A While...
"Good! I'd be happy to show it. But...again, considering this...", Clara poked Kay in her stomach once again: "I don't think you need it much", she giggled.
The two then laughed about her indie movies, and about the horror slasher flick she was in: "Oh shut up you flatterer...I was terrible in those!", she laughed at Kay: "Was supposed to be one of the last victims, and ended up going out early. They knew I sucked. I wasn't angry, however. It was pretty fun, and cast was very friendly."
"Plays weren't filmed though. They were very small set ups, mostly for 10 to 100 people at most. It was a good experience acting to a smaller crowd though."
The more she spoke about it, the more she realized that the break did her a lot of good. Her headspace was better, she was less nervous...and even though she was still fearful for her match with the Baroness, she was still confident that she would win. So she nodded at Kay's words:
"Thank you so much Kathy. And I swear not to go without you again."
The small "interview" from Kay then headed into what she left over to begin with: her going for belts,
"Hmmmm...don't know honestly. I feel it is unfair for me to gun for a belt this soon. I'll give it a moment. LAW gained so many new members, and I want to fight a lot of them. Plus, I might go for an even bigger prize soon enough, when LAW Openweight title finally gets announced"
...although actually, there is one belt I am interested in...", she whispered to Kay: "Or rather 2; Silver's Bedroom crown and Yoko's Bedroom belt. I actually beat Yoko before, so that one is as good as mine!", she proudly proclaimed, despite the redness on her cheeks at the memories of that encounter.

Re: It's Been A While...
"Haha! Who are you and what did you do to Clara?" Kay replied with a bit of laughter. "You come back after so long and now you're doing Bikini matches, bedroom matches... What's next for you? Mud wrestling? Oil wrestling?" Kay giggled, this time giving Clara a poke back after being on the receiving end of a few from Clara. Granted she was aware Clara had taken part in bedroom matches before in her career, and also an oil wrestling match, however the latter had been a more private affair between the two. One Kay would not soon forget despite how long it had been since.
"It's a shame there's no video of your theatre work, I would have really liked to have seen that... maybe we can gather some people and have you do a little solo performance instead sometime. It's that or I think we have a movie night but we only watch the films you've starred in." Kay then teased with an honest smile. The two had a little laugh about it all, before Kay leaned in, resting her elbows against her knees as she couldn't help but look Clara up and down for a moment... she was as beautiful as ever, especially with the noticeable confidence she had gained from her trip away.
"I don't think it's unfair at all for you to gun for a belt. You don't owe anyone here anything. You've been working hard to build yourself up and I think you're ready for it. You've already earned the shot as far as I'm concerned... That Lightweight title is as good as yours... unless you know... I go for it too." Kay spoke, adding a half jest at the end.
"I think you have the right of it though... When the Openweight belt becomes a reality... I think you should shoot for it. Imagine being the first lightweight wrestler to best all divisions and attain such a belt. It's gonna be the biggest achievement in the federation. If anyone can do it... it's you Clara." Kay added, with a firm tone to her words. She managed a smile despite the seriousness of her pep talk, and soon leaned in to give Clara's knee a firm squeeze.
"Of course... if you don't do it... just means I'll have to do it instead!" Drifter added, pulling a comical yet adorable expression as she tried to tease her friend.

Re: It's Been A While...
"Stop acting like our oil match didn't happen, you sly fox!", she continued lightly poking Kay in her stomach in disagreement. "That settles it. One of these affairs, we are definitely having. Either on cameras or in front of an audience. Then you will not be able to say "it didn't happen!""
She and Kay continued to laugh about her growing acting career. Clara peaked at Kay's cute, adorable, honest face and her heart sank for a brief moment. Why did she not confess her love for the blunette yet? She'll find her moment. She knew there would be a good one down the line...
"Heh...you want your reign to end at day one?", she quipped back: "But yeah, I am treating everything as a fresh start as far as I am concerned. I want to get a good number of wins before I gun for the belt."
Kay's reassuring words about her going for the Openweight title made her feel even more positive about herself. She was one of the best lightweights in LAW, and even if the task before her would be difficult, she knew she could do it!
"If I don't end up there, I'll be sure to support you. If we end up facing each other for it...sorry not sorry, taking you down, Kay!", she quipped back, giggled, and decided to change the focus of the converstation:
"Enough about me, how have you been? I feel bad about not having your back, did something happen in the ring or backstage? I haven't seen LAW TV in a while..."

Re: It's Been A While...
"Ha! Take me down?! I bet I can run faster then you and I can run all day! I'll just do laps in the ring and when you're exhausted chasing me... I'll push you over and get the pin! It'll be so simple!" Kay joked, leaning forwards to give Clara a light slap on her knee. She bit on her lower lip and giggled, leaning back into the chair as she felt herself getting more settled within the presence of Clara. It was then the subject began to move to herself, when Clara naturally asked what Kay had been doing during the time she had spent away.
"Oh you know... I've been doing alright. Been mostly on the house shows and the like... the big brass upstairs don't think I'm quite ready to hit the big screens just yet, but I seem to be doing well with the fans as far as I can tell. I lack a bit of flash in the ring I'm told... but I'm working on it." Kay spoke with a smile. She'd certainly had a successful run against fellow house show wrestlers, most of which were in development. Her name was being whispered in the LAW forums and circles... but as mentioned she didn't quite have the pop needed with her fighting style. She knew a few moves but she was all punches and kicks... and whilst she had impressed, it wasn't quite enough for the main show.
She'd earned another contract at the very least... one more year... it eased the stress as she was still making enough money from it to keep the funds to her old orphanage going. It was literally all she could afford... Kay kept her smile however, keeping her own woes and troubles to herself. She didn't want to worry Clara, especially with her own problems against Baroness. Sandy White had become a bane to Kay as of late... the giant of a woman's interest in her had certainly become troubling... but again... Kay did not mention this...
"You havn't missed much. I'm all good. Still staying at Irelia's... she's been super kind to let me have her spare room whilst I get set up. She's been great!" Kay mentioned, giving at least that truth to Clara.

Re: It's Been A While...
Clara giggled at Kay's choice of strategy for when she is champion: "The most cowardly champion in the universe. You truly are a fox!"
The roles of interviewer and interviewee flipped as it was Kay now talking about herself, still mostly being on house shows due to lack of flair in her style: "I can help you in both ways! I'll get a good word to the management, and help you find your style in the ring!", Clara would say. She knew Kay had chance with LAW, she was a good wrestler. She might've agreed a bit with lack of uniqueness in her attacks, but Kay was one of the toughest ladies she knew, as well as having the biggest heart in wrestling. This had to count for something.
Kay sat thinking about something for a while, before simply mentioning staying at Irelia's house. Clara still looked at Kay with slight suspicion...but she let that be. If Kay didn't want to talk about something, she won't pry further:
"That sounds good. My new apartment is massive, so you can pop in any time you want!"

Re: It's Been A While...
"Make no mistake! A cowardly Champion is still a Champion Clara!" Kay spoke with a cheeky expression and a smile to match upon her beautiful features. Kay's smile became more modest when Clara began to speak, telling that she would put a good word in with management to help give her a bump up, before offering to help her in the ring to try and find her style as it where.
"I'll take you up on the latter at the very least. It'll be fun to get a few more spars in with you, I really enjoyed our sessions before you left. I couldn't ask you to put in a word for me though... I kind of need to see if I can do that part on my own. If I end up falling flat I don't want it to fall back on you if you stick your neck out for me. I've got a whole year to get my act together... I'll be fine." Kay tried to reassure her friend.
She knew Clara meant all the best for her, and she really did apprieciate the offer, but as Kay stated herself she had to try and make her own way in the eyes of the head brass and managment upstairs. It was an unforgiving business, and from Kay had heard from others who had made it... this was the worst part to overcome... finding yourself and hoping that the crowd took to you.
"Worst case... if I start running out of time, I'll just turn into a big baddie and terrorise you! If I can't win 'em over, I'll just get the fans to hate me instead! I bet management would love if I became your biggest arch rival!" Kay added with a joking tone once more, giving Clara a playful wink.
Given how Kay had offered little information of herself during Clara's time away, she could see Clara's expression shifted ever so slightly. The Brit was clever after all, smart enough to know Kay was hiding something, but thankfully she did not pry. No doubt she would discover her troubles in time, but for now Kay just wanted Clara to be as carefree as possible, especially with the prospect of an upcoming match against the terrible Baroness.
"Oh yeah! I didn't even think about that... I just figured you'd be in the same place as last time. Miss Big Shot and her super massive apartment! Sounds good! You'll have to invite me over so I can see the new place!" Kay exclaimed with an excitement. "That said... I should also show you my lil' set up some time! Irelia said I can invite anyone over... I've got a pretty sweet room, I was hoping to show you before you left, but I never got a chance. Maybe when you're free you could come over and see that too? We could make a day of it..." Kay suggested, leaning forward a little as she gazed upon Clara. Her cheeks were hurting by now... but she hadn't smiled this much in a long time and couldn't seem to stop in the presence of Clara.

Re: It's Been A While...
Clara fully understood where Kay was coming from. She was ok with that being a last resort, but being booked because of someone's positive relationship stung in it's own right, stung in a way that would make Kay feel like she was not good enough.
Kay's personal worst case scenario did make her laugh though: "Ahahahaha...Just...just warn me ahead of time in that case, alright?"
The talk then went to their respective houses, as the Brit got a quick idea on her mind:
"Why don't we go to either place now? My day is fully free now. We could start with your house, you can pick up your stuff, and you can sleep over at my place tonight. How does that sound?", Clara would say with an earnest smile.

Re: It's Been A While...
"Warn you? That wouldn't be very villainess of me if I warned you of my inevitable betrayal!" Kay mentioned, putting on a pretty terrible version of Clara's own evil tone when performing as the Shadow Lord. Her attempt at a British accent was pretty abysmal, but certainly helped to put across that she wasn't actually being serious.
Soon enough, Clara then suggested that the two do their venture now rather than saving it for another day. It took Kay a little off guard, but the thought of hanging out with Clara for the rest of the evening was a pleasant notion. That was until she realised she was offering a sleep over at her own place. Kay beamed at the idea.
"Ha! Yeah! Sure! Why not? It's been a while since we last had one hasn't it?" Kay exclaimed. She was all but certain Irelia would not mind her bringing her friend home.
It sounded horrible to think, but she quietly hoped Irelia was busy today and out and about as she normally was in the week. She loved Irelia and owed her good friend so much. The Middleweight wrestler had gone above and beyond, letting her stay in her place free of charge. Irelia was the single reason Kay was not on the streets as she had been when she first arrived in Japan and Kay could not ever thank her enough for it. That said... Kay had shared what she had felt about Clara to Irelia, her true feelings for her... and no doubt the woman would try and make a massive fuss over the two if she spotted them!
Still... it was what it was, Kay owed Irelia more than that and didn't want to tiptoe around her. With any luck she would be out and perhaps she could introduce Clara to Irelia another time.
"Right... We'll swing by Irelia's first and I'll pick up something whilst I show you around." Kay spoke, picking herself up along with her old battered rucksack. She gave a pleasant look to Clara and motioned for her to come along.
