Mina Piper vs. Jeanne Le Pen

Unread post by SwordSavior1 »

Mina was stepping out into the ring once again, further hoping to prove she can function as a solo act. She already shocked millions (according to her numbers) after an upset victory against Cobra, but that was just playing easy mode considering the extended preparation beforehand, especially since she had another singles loss recently. Today she was going to step into the unknown being drawn against the most mysterious of foes, but considering her appreciations of surprises at the tunnel's end, she couldn't feel any more exhilarated.

Hopefully this attire change won't be a constant event or it would be confusing to the audience about who is she representing. "Jab...jab...kick....ULTRA COMBOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH!" Reciting and practicing most of her sacred techniques under a mirror. For some odd reason she felt there was a subtle difference in personality upon donning the Shinobi attire, like she had to fit the bombastic warrior to such an extent. Would that include their ability to escape defeat? Her main strategy was to rely on what clicked well and focus on self-preservation. Not exactly power through like a fierce bear (even though she had the grip of one) but experiment a little for everyone's enjoyment.

The show was about to begin and Mina would be given the privilege to play lead and left her improvised training area skipping towards the gorilla position. During the journey towards the sacred arena, she couldn't help but snicker at her own training regime. "(Calm down...calm down you are going to look crazy!)" Trying to adjust her facial expression before revealing herself to the spectators, apparently having standards.

"The following contest is set for one fall, introducing first standing in at 5ft 6 and weighing 148 lbs, representing one half of Shinobi Sunshine, continuing her conquest of conquering being cast down, she is the Fuschia Fireball...MINA PIPER!" The announcer amazingly said all of this in one breath without any hesitation. An underappreciated role considering all the matches they have been in involved these past few year.

Speaking of the pinkette, the ramp was initially empty until pastel pink smoke started to rise from the underworld, obscuring everyone's view briefly. When the barrier dissipated, a lone curvaceous figure stood around arms and legs together with a plain expression. What will she bring today?

"GET OVER HERE!" Mina suddenly yelled in a deeper croaky voice stretching her arm out as if trying to wrangle an invisible foe. This action was followed by burning red pyro exploding behind the ninja while she struck the same pose. Seconds of silence minus the usual crowd roaring until "Hi everybody!" Officially welcoming everyone with one of her trademark smiles. Initially she was planning to breath fire like a certain other ninjutsu specialist, but smoking and flames were a major health hazard so the pinkette had to make do.

The crowd ate up this opening act and applauded Mina Piper while she skipped down the aisle, waving her arm around like a spinning propeller. This part of the entrance was a lot tamer as with little delay, having reached the ring in personal record time and rolling underneath the bottom rope. Upon scaling herself back to a standing position, she strolled along the aisle until arriving at one of the corners. Turning around to rest her back against the turnbuckle, just as excited as her fans about what opponent would she be fighting today?

Back again… It had been nearly a month since she’d seen LAW Arena. Meanwhile, she had been adapting to her new life in Japan. Language, the scenery, it surely felt foreign from France. Slowly but surely, she found her ground in this hectic place, even purchasing a car and renting an apartment! Things seemed to go her way here; even if she missed home sometimes, the company was doing great by her. But one shortcomings LAW had was reaching Jeanne, who struggled to get a phone. On the day of, she received a call from her agent, notifying her way of an upcoming match.

A torrent of panic marred with some road rage as she raced back. Never did she think today was the day another booking would come. Saying she was unprepared was a grave understatement. So while in the parking lot, she had her own wrestling match with the bandages while in the backseat of her car, wrangling her limbs in the cloth, tightly packing each one. “Liona is going to curse me for this…” Jeanne said, “I still have ten minutes…”

Reigning in her hair was like round two. Doing it up in a ponytail, then packing it behind more wrappings which exhausted her… For the time being, she wanted nothing but five minutes’ rest. She laid across the trunk of her vehicle, kicking her legs - a mummified woman amidst a few straggling onlookers… CRAP. It was almost time! Quick feet blitzed towards the door, barrelling through the halls like a lost child, looking for her mother. Like last time, she eluded staff thanks to her shortcut knowledge and how she didn’t prepare in her dressing room.

But alas… She made it on time, the ominous hymn of her opening theme brushing against eager ears.

“And her supernatural opponent, her vessel stands at just five feet, weighing in at one-hundred and eleven pounds… Hailing from the world beyond, the Restless Maiden… Liooooona!”

On cue with her name, she skipped, her head tilting side to side with each lunge, arms knitted behind her pack. She made a twirl on the rampway, continuing about halfway before stopping, turning left towards the audience. Swinging her legs around with each step, she loomed closer towards one particular member, staring them down, before abruptly turning back away. Little stints made it all more enjoyable, but she would be damned if she wasn’t eager to start.

She skipped up the ring steps without further delay. Scaling the turnbuckle from outside, she launched herself into the ring, executing a forward roll before coming up to her feet. Occupying the ring’s centre, she eyed her opponent through her barren eye-sockets, a pure wall of black, her wrappings white, and her robe was red, decadent in pink flowers. She sauntered forward, taking a slow step to see if she can itch their nerves. Quieter than the whisper, with the crowd’s roar masking her steps anyway, she came within three feet of Mina Piper. Then… She laughed, a high-pitched shriek, loud and sudden, capable of raking the ears of those who heard it… That being, Miss Piper.

Time and Mina have had an odd relationship. To her it feels like yesterday since she has stepped on Japanese soil after a long fight. Now she is in LAW, acquired 'love on the battlefield', many friends (and rivals) across the globe and partaking in possibly the biggest matches that pro wrestling has to offer. Thankfully the haven's ever expanding space meant Mina always had a home to stay at if a shoddy apartment didn't cater, but she wasn't of course going to laze around partaking in matches with or without them for amusement which happened to pay on the side.

She didn't mind the opponent provided it was someone completely new and she didn't have to hurt them pretty badly. Besides a name Mina had no grasp about what breed of would be standing in the ring opposite.

What resembled a cosplayer or a late Halloween dresser came walking down the ramp. The most bizarre opponent Mina has come across and she fought the closest thing to a male Medusa. Many thoughts clogged the pinkette's thought process. From an observers point of view it could be mistaken for fear.

Eventually they would become face to face in which Mina was privileged enough to gain a closer peek at Jeanne's outfit. How neatly arranged those bandage wraps accentuated by a delicious red robe. Like if Red Riding Hood was a mummy. Then the real kicker that would snap the ninja out of her trance. An ear piercing scream fit for a banshee.

Was Mina deafened? Frightened? A bit of both?

"That...that was totally wicked! You are Sindel and I am Scorpion!" The first words she would say to her opponent didn't include either of them. She instead became more excited about this particular bout as evident by her bouncing in place. A little more time before the bell rings.

A welcomed execution of her act, there was no greater fulfillment. Knowing the nature of your gimmick, the dark, childish undertones it bore, paired with the silent personality that peered into her opponent’s soul. Jeanne loved movies, so telling Mina’s attire was read by an easy glance. A ninja. A ninja versus a possessed woman. By the title alone, she'd remember this long after it was done. However, their Sindrel and Scorpian reference fell on uncultured ears when she mentioned video games. Who??? Sworn to her character’s eerie silence, she tilted her head, stepping closer towards their hopping, whilst smiling underneath. They were lively. Unlike most times, when this competitive aura swallowed them, they seemed to get a kick out of everything. She liked that. Closer and closer, Jeanne stepped, until they were all but inches apart. And if Mina listened, she could hear the greenette underneath muse a slew of childish giggles. She started mimicking their act, hopping on the spot while the referee called Liona to her corner, but she stayed just a bit longer. As a parting gift, she reached up towards Mina Piper’s face, a single bandaged finger to poke their nose. A sign of good intentions… Or maybe, simple boredom. If she didn’t slap it away, Liona would step backwards, executing a cartwheel and a backwards bunny hop, which saw her back slap the opposite turnbuckle. With her games all but finished, the referee sounded the bell for these two contrasting personalities.

Mina loved performing fear pranks but rarely scary movies. She usually preferred the thrills in short doses. Despite resembling a creature from this flick, the lightweight's act was just over the top enough to not induce any fear at first, considering she has to truly grasp the tiny's terror's true nature. "(Maybe I could go as a headless horseman or a centaur next time)" Thinking of embracing dress-up not even questioning if these were feasible options for a competitive match. As the hooded figure closed distance between the two, Mina continued to bounce around but obviously kept her guard up, all senses being utilised and also explaining why Smoke Ball #2 was hiding in her pocket.

Her ears were able to pick up the noises coming out of Jeanne's mouth, almost causing Mina's heart to burst from sheer adorableness. The two started jumping in unison like children on the playground, accompanied by the taller woman bursting into giggling herself in response to making a new friend. Of course this was a wrestling match so this playdate would be a short one. Being approached once again, Mina tried keeping a coolhead but being poked in a specific area forced her to shout out in the open. "BOOP! Haha!"

A stunning display of acrobatics preceded the bell. One final bounce and the pinkette moved into an 'idle stance', not losing sight of her foe despite constantly swaying. One lowered arm in front lowered and the other raising behind her back.

A chaotic ninja with varying awareness battling against a possessed hooded mummy. All the scene needed was two health bars popping up. "Round 1...fight!" Deepening her voice while stepping to the centre still in her odd stance. She would return to usual business once they actually started attacking each other. Mina basically allowed her fellow combatant to strike first.

Re: Mina Piper vs. Jeanne Le Pen

Apart from their different attires, little separated their games. The Restless Maiden, a gimmick from a horror flick. Mina Piper, a video game extraordinaire, which she only just understood. They were upbeat, brimming with joy, the day for Liona’s night. And it filled Jeanne with amusement and utter confusion, creating this awkward harmony that she adored. She only wished they scared easier. A challenge which she dared accept, resting determination in that over victory.

Once the bell rang, Liona stood tall. Hands abaft her back, a narrow posture followed by bitter silence. She slanted her head, taking agonizingly slow steps, the back of her heel pushing down before the rest of the foot followed. On the third step, she froze. Provided Mina wanted to play defence, Jeanne was unwilling to attack someone so prepared, so she bided her time, trying to harvest some anxiety into that composure now that they started.

But alas, that tactic wouldn’t uphold. If Mina didn’t switch up, Jeanne would skip forward. A hum, tuning an upbeat melody to further the goal from earlier. She sidestepped, circling for a whole lap. Uneventful, calm, and precarious, she made a blitz for Mina’s front, swinging her foot upwards. A basic strike, yet sheathing her true intention. She didn’t commit to the strike. Instead, she lowered her leg half-way, trying to bait Mina into reacting before Liona made her strike. One quick sidestep, then a lunge, attempting to tackle Mina from the side, and coil her bandaged arms around her adversary’s throat, locking in a choke while bringing her face closer to their ear.

“Until we’re dead! Hehehee!”

Liona spoke in a low, scratchy tone, akin to a growl to further etch in her dastardly character.

Mina wouldn't exactly identify as a gamer or at least the hardcore variety. She was just someone who enjoyed all sorts of media provided it gave her a little thrill, animation and games being primary components. It has been a recurring trend ever since donning the outfit that Mina would just imitate the spirit of multiple ninjas across pop culture to really get into her new gimmick, like an avid daydreamer who sees themselves as heroes. Yet their general optimism would be multiplied upon meeting an apparent steps.

Both fighters having pretty unusual approaches to starting the match led to spectators patiently awaiting for the scene to shift. A mere gimmick to pad time or an actual competition on the horizon?

Mina continued to play idle and tried preparing for whatever physical response Jeanne may show. In the mean time, she swayed her head back and forth upon hearing a new melody grace those ears. Eventually the hooded fiend moved in for an attack. "(At least she is not a camper...)" Knowing a little terminology while preparing to guard against the so called kick with arms about to move in front. As it turned out she fell right into Jeanne's trap. Unable to react in time, her neck would be constricted by the mummy's bandaged arms. "Urgh....but we are not in Round 2....uhhhhh" Reaching up and trying to pry one of Jeanne's arm off, but this might be enough time for a move transition.

A resounding success for Liona. A bait and switch, resulting in her modest arms snaking around Mina’s mortal throat, applying sweet pressure like a constrictor. Every second, the hold gets tighter, with Jeanne’s second arm pushing against the back of their head while her first arm tries to hook her forearm. With control of her head, she could wear Mina down, chipping away at the health bar she imagined. But, an early triumph did not merit a victory. Thinking this would be the decider was foolish, so Liona tried her damndest to think of a transition.

“Survive round one, child!” Liona spoke, repeated in the same tone from earlier.

Mina was restless as expected, smart to go for the arm, which only encouraged Liona to settle on another move. After all, it was hard to control them if her balance relied on their squirming, so she decided she’d try to eliminate that… The plan was simple. Jeanne would reposition herself, executing a single jump to get on their flank. With her arm giving in to Mina’s tugging, she tried to envelop the front of her neck with her other arm and yank towards herself. A foot would rise, trying to stomp at the back of Mina’s knee to force her to kneel, where she could comfortably lock in a better joke, Liona’s bandaged head sitting on top of theirs.

Now… To finish her little gambit. She attempted to yank her other arm free, hoping to make it into a claw, then reaching across her opponent's face to dig it into Mina’s cheek, then rake it across!

Because of the height difference being literally half a foot, it took Jeanne reaching a bit higher in order to initially lock the submission. The agonizing pressure on her neck, caused Mina to hunker down allowing the hold to become easier to apply over time. "(Yup...not a lost child)" Disregarding that assumption in her head knowing the pure unadulterated strength she had to put up with.

"Haha! That's funny because I'm not a ch-aughhhh owwwww" Trying to respond with a wisecrack only for the strain to settle in once again. She tried prying one of Jeanne's arms away along with shaking her body around like a rodeo bull. The situation wouldn't remain stagnant for all as Jeanne sought even lower ground, causing Mina to bend down even further having the mummy's weight towed to her. "Hey now! We can do this the easy way!" Trying to balance herself and pulling the arm chain, possibly causing her opponent to drag along the mat for a bit.

So much factors to focus on. "Ahhhhhh!" Even without blinking she had trouble tracking that foot swiping her knee. Like an unstable tree, the pinkette would go timber and drop to a kneeling position becoming rather acquainted with the fellow lightweight. "Haha this is nothing..." All Mina had to do was raise her knee and possibly spin around to throw her captor. Until the hooded figure suddenly crossed a line. Four blades sinking into her cheek and scraping as much skin. "EYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Her eyes suddenly becoming watery from the excruciating manoeuvre. Was she fighting a mythical beast? The attack actually got the ninja's blood pumping even further as she suddenly thrusted her body upwards and tried rolling away from harm's way. "Hurts...so...hurt so!"

What a cute dance routine. Hips flailed side to side, sending the Restless Maiden to and fro like she was weathering a terrible storm at sea, clinging to a ship’s mast while the waves punched the hull, coursing it high and low. Still, matching this tremendous storm was the supernatural grip Jeanne established, more desperate than anything as she panicked beneath the mask. At times, she wanted to screech from being spooked herself; other times, she wanted to laugh. Still, Liona demanded eerie silence, apart from the occasional low growl that replied to Mina’s returning quip, before morphing into a pained response. Things were better when their heights matched. It was slightly embarrassing being this short at times, but she had more pressing things. Like the lacklustre choke, which served more like a crutch for the claw which dug trenches into supple flesh. Seams, while not blood that Liona wanted (Damn Jeanne), it served to get a scream! The Restless Maiden laughed, an eerie shriek to garnish this little display of cruelty, like two sung birds bouncing off each other in harmony… An ugly harmony.

One thing completely unheeded was retaliation, with Mina shooting herself up so suddenly, clipping Liona’s jaw with her shoulder. She couldn’t figure out whether it was an accident or not. The pain was unmistakable, making Jeanne’s expression contort beneath the wrappings, which cemented a stone stare forward. To maintain character, she relented from any strong reaction, giving the impression she was unfazed by knitting her hands behind her back.

“Hurt… Hurt... Yes, now hurt more!”
Before long, Jeanne continued her assault, breaking into a sprint towards the wounded ninja and attempting to plant her feet into their chest using a classic dropkick!
