Main Event - Linda Halloween(c) vs Cali McCloud vs Astrid Ostberg - Triple Threat Match

For a moment, Astrid lifted her head to the crowd, with Linda still posed atop her shoulders. Only mere fractions of a second passed, but to Astrid, it didn't matter. To Astrid, this was a singular moment that meant so much more. The Heavyweight Champion was in her clutches; her strength, spurred on by desperation, had allowed her to not only hoist a fellow heavyweight onto her shoulders, but to carry her in such a position as well, presenting Linda like a trophy to the crowd. It was a moment that made Astrid's heart swell with pride - but what made her feel even more encouraged was the promise that came after. That Astrid would soon emerge with an even more prized trophy in hand.

She let the moment sink in, savoring it. But she couldn't tarry - and what happened next went by in a flash. Astrid kicked off the ground, throwing Linda down onto her back, and the canvas shook with such an impact. The crowd cheered at such a display of strength and willpower from the Norwegian, who got up on her knees after she had landed, flexing her muscles with a grin. She looked over to see Linda lying motionless, and she knew what she had to do.

Astrid got in place over Cali, planting her hands down on her shoulders and bridging her body for the cover. The cheers grew even louder, and with each slap of the referee's hand, the fans counted along.

"ONE!!! TWO!!!"

But amidst all the excitement, the subtler things were lost in the commotion. No one would see Astrid nod her head ever so slightly toward Linda, meeting her with a smile. The words she had said to her - take good care of it - those were the words of a woman who knew she was defeated, and that the time had come for a new champion to be crowned. She knew her time was up - and she had deemed Astrid worthy of taking up her position. Bowing her head to her foe, Astrid whispered her response.

"Thank you. I will."

"THREE!!!"

Soon, though, the pin was broken, with the sound of the bell bringing the match, and We Are LAW, to a close. Facing the uproar of cheers and applause, Astrid lifted her hands high to the crowd, a grin on her face. The referee presented her with the belt, which Astrid likewise held aloft, just as Misa came back into the ring. Shouting into her microphone, she proclaimed the words that Astrid had been waiting to hear, all this time.

"Here is your winner - and NEW LAW Heavyweight Champion - ASTRIIIIIID OSTBEEEERRRRG!!!"

The crowd was still cheering by the time Astrid slung the belt over her shoulder, lowering her arms. But she turned to where Linda lay, extending a hand. "Need any help?"

Linda had accepted her faith after she was positioned onto her opponent's shoulders as she would whisper that she hoped her fellow blond would take good care of the belt she was about to win. Since the American had no regrets as she had given it all she had , and while she wished to hold onto the first belt she had ever won in her career it was not to be.

So when she was slammed onto the mat , and Astrid covered her it seemed like time just stood still. As the blond would remember what she had bin through to win the bell. Since it had not bin an easy journey to the title as she had to first beat Big Jenny to qualify for the Heavyweight Championship tournament. During the Tournament she had faced and beaten Red Widow, Naruko Hirano and finally Alaina Sanders to claim the belt which she would defend against the likes of Dixie and Grace Kenning as she heard the ref count to three. As it seemed like an third title defense victory was just not to be as Astrid had proven to be the better woman.

Which she proved by offering an hand to her , and Linda would gracefully accept as she replied ''yeah I could use some help getting up champ''

Champ. Astrid felt the tingles just hearing that, and it made her smile that much wider. She was still feeling the highs of victory, and her head was lost in the clouds too much for her to fully process the magnitude of her victory and what it meant. But, as she listened to the crowd cheering and chanting her name all the same, Astrid couldn't deny it. It had happened. She had won. And she was now the Heavyweight Champion.

Her smile grew wider as she helped Linda to her feet, but once the two were eye to eye Astrid met her with a nod of her head, and she shook her hand where she still held it. There were no hard feelings between the competitors; Linda had given it her all, and Astrid had nothing but respect for that. But Astrid had too - and in the end, it was the Norwegian's commitment that had paid off in her favor. "No problem. You fought well - and you should be proud of that. You were a great champion - and I can only hope I'll live up to your example."

Looping one arm around Linda's shoulders, Astrid turned back toward the exit, and she began to walk Linda back that way. "But for now...I think we can call it a night." Her head was held up, and she felt a joyous tear budding at the corner of her eye. But the championship belt never left her shoulder. Astrid knew what her victory tonight meant, and how important it was to her.

She knew she wouldn't let Linda down.

Cali managed to get to her knees just in time for the final count to be delivered. The bell rang and the up and comer watched as Astrid was declared the new Heavyweight champion. She made no attempt to move towards the ring, she simply sat with her back against the barricade as she watched Astrid celebrate her win alongside the former champion while those in the front row slapped on the padding next to her as they voiced encouragement for next time. The loss, while stung, didn't upset her as much it probably should. With a huff, Cali got to her feet and made her way to the corner of the ringside where she hopped over the barricade and made her way to the back through the crowd. Feeling the slaps to the back by the fans, Cali brushed away the hair that clung to her face, her eyes dark.
