Fires of Passion: Firebrand vs. Christine Valance (D)

No sooner then when Firebrand got to her feet, she felt a boot to her side, sending her back to the mat. She looked up at her opponent and nodded approvingly. This woman was certainly no disappointment. Still, she planned on giving this Christine lady everything she had. She would attempt to leg sweep her opponent, making her go to the ground as well

Firebrand went down and Christina flashed a grin, ready to prepare her followup attack. She hopped a step backwards and prepared a second kick, ready to fire it off the moment that Firebrand tried to rise, but the blonde was proving herself to be a bit crafty.

Before Christina had a chance to do much of anything, Firebrand's leg arced towards her, sweeping the Assassin's own legs out from beneath her. With a surprised shout, the white-haired woman was tripped up, and ended up flat on her ass in front of Firebrand.

She took a moment to blink, trying to process what had just happened. Once it hit her, all Christina could do was flash Firebrand a grin, before quickly trying to rise back up to her own feet, trying to beat the blonde to the punch.

Firebrand noticed her opponenet’s grin as she got up, at least they were both having a good time. Still, there was a match to be won, and Firebrand had no intention of slowing down, even for a rookie.

Firebrand and Christine got up at about the same time, Firebrand locked eyes with Christina, and she saw what youwold typically see in a rookie making her debut, confidence, excitement, and a tinge of nervousness. Firebrand wondered what Christine saw in her masked eyes…

Firebrand would attempt a lariat, hoping to once again lay out Christine, making her vulnerable to airborn attacks: Firebrand’s bread and butter…

Christina circled around towards Firebrand as they both rose to their feet. She was ready to re-engage, and wasn't planning on giving the blonde much of a chance to rest between exchanges. She began to rush forwards the woman again, but it seemed Firebrand had the same idea. Before Christina could react, Firebrand was charging back at her, swinging her arm towards her with the big lariat.

Naturally the blow connected, and with a short shout of surprise Christina was taken off of her feet, ending up on her back on the mat. She hissed quietly in pain, the Assassin left open for Firebrand's next move...

Firebrand managed to knock over the bigger Christine, and, even though she was proud of herself for knocking over a bigger opponent, she could not rest on her small victories.

She decided to try and ground the bigger opponent for a while, She went down to where Christine had fallen and locked Christine’s head in a headscissors, hoping to at the very least slow her opponent down.

Firebrand wasn’t planning on making her opponent submit, she felt as though she hadn’t done enough for that to happen, though she wouldn’t complain if she did.

Christina was already starting to sit up when suddenly Firebrand dropped down beside of her, the blonde's legs snaking out and wrapping around her head. Before she knew what had happened, the Assassin was caught in a headscissors, Firebrand's thighs locked nice and tightly around her.

At once, Christina began to fight back, knowing what would happen if she was trapped for too long in this hold. Her hands came up and she grabbed at Firebrand's thighs, trying to get a good grip on them to begin prying them apart, even as the woman began to squeeze her and start to choke her out.

As it was still very early in the match, Firebrand was not expecting to win right now, nor was she expecting for her opponent to just allow her to crush her head in her thighs, unless she as some kind of masochist, and Christine didn’t strike her as such…

Sure enough, Christine began to slowly pull Firebrand’s legs apart, Firebrand wasn’t surprised at this, as it seemed way too early to get a submission, plus, and Firebrand would be the first to admit this, she wasn’t the strongest wrestler in LAW, but, she was by far one of the quickest.

Christine eventually succeeded in escaping the headscissors, but, because Firebrand kind of expected her too, she wasn’t off her guard. She rolled back onto her feet and allowed Christina to get up as well. Christine, at least so far, was holding up to her words, she wasn’t disappointing at the least. Still, Firebrand wasn’t going to make it easy for Christine in her LAW debut, she ran over to Christine, lifting her leg up for a running knee to Christine’s abdomen, hoping to keep the pressure on Christine, and let all of LAW know that Firebrand doesn’t let up…

Christina was quick to kip up to her own feet as Firebrand released her, spinning to face the blonde as she fell into a defensive stance. She would admit that Firebrand was giving her a bit harder time than she expected, but it was nothing she was overly worried about. She was getting a feel for the blonde, and soon she'd have a proper plan in place for her.

Almost as soon as they were standing again, Firebrand came charging back in towards Christina, and this time the Assassin was ready for her. Her quick reflexes took over as Firebrand rushed her, the white-haired woman quickly lowering her hands in front of her. She just narrowly got them in place in time, grunting as she blocked the knee lift. Then, she quickly shoved to the side, trying to push away the knee and spin Firebrand away from herself.

Christine recovered a little faster then Firebrand anticipated, but, that didn’t stop her bull-like charge. She rushed over to Christine to ram her knee in her opponent’s midriff…

Firebrand was so committed to the move that when she felt hands instead of stomach, she was caught a tad off guard, and, at least for a second, time stood still. Firebrand had a stunned look in her masked face, while Christine had a look of amusement.

Firebrand knew that Christine was going for something big, and, admittedly, would probably break her in an instant. Surprising to Firebrand most of all, Christ merely shoved Firebrand away, making her slightly spin, but, none the worse for wear, “Well, color me impressed” muttered Firebrand as she began to regain her bearings. This was not condescending or mocking, Firebrand was genuinely impressed by Christine so far…

Christina wasn't just going for the spin. She had something more in mind!

As Firebrand began to regain her bearings, Christina slipped around towards her side. One more time her leg came up, and one more time the Assassin fired off one of her kicks. This time, she was aiming for the small of the blonde's back, trying to slam her kick straight into the base of the woman's spine.
