Amy Henderson vs Finlay Zeffer - The Match That Started It All

"Yeah, we are," Amy replied as she attempted to sit him up. Doing that was actually a lot more difficult than she originally anticipated. With the rush gone, along with the adrenaline, Amy's body felt like lead. Even with her iron will that she felt she had, it felt more like it was weighing her down than it was holding her up.

"Think you can make it to your feet?"

”Ugh... So I wasn’t out for long then.” He said with a groan as he graciously accepted the assistance of his former opponet. Wincing a bit as he sat up and braced his hand against the mat he nodded to her. “Yeah.. Yeah I can.” He said affirmatively as he attempted to push himself up to his feet. If succesful he would attempt to loft Amy up to her feet as well, partially out of instinct, and partially out of trying to return the favor for her helping him not but a second ago.

The blonde girl kept an eye on him to make sure he didn't fall over again, despite the fact that she was pretty much in the same state as he was. She wasn't expecting him to offer her a hand to get up, but she was pleased to see that he did. Smiling, she took his hand and stood up as well. She didn't let go, however, turning the helping hand into a sportsman-like handshake. No need to separate them if she was just going to clasp it again.

"Thanks for the match, Finlay. I really enjoyed it. You've been one of the toughest opponents I've faced so far."

As Finlay hauled Amy up to her feet he was a bit surprised when his opponet had hung onto his hand keeping the grip going between the two. ”Hm?” He asked in confusion from the extended grip, having expected her to let go once on her feet. Instead she turned it into a handshake which he readily returned. “Same to you. It was an excellent match, you’re more skilled than I initially gsve you credit for.” He said back to her while shaking her hand

She chuckled as he admitted to his own faulty assessment of her. "Well, at least you know now. I'm happy that we did this!"

The crowd continued to clap as the two fighters showed each other good sportsmanship. It was a standing ovation, and the blonde girl couldn't be more pleased about it. For this to be her first win here, she couldn't have asked for a better set of circumstances. Eventually, Amy let go and turned to leave the ring.

"Hope to see you around, Finlay! Who knows, maybe we might run into each other at the gym or something?"

Finlay nodded to her as she accepted his faulty criticism with a smile. She was definitely a interesting woman, and despite taking a loss to her he was looking forward to facing her again. Not just for the chance to redeem himself but also to learn more about the buxom blonde and get the same feeling he did in this match. ”Indeed I do... I won’t underestimate you next time.” He said with a small smile as the two let go of eachothers hands and the male watched as she left the ring, allowing her the courtesy of doing so first to savor her victory. Hanging back in the ring Finlay watched as she left, a feeling of anticipation takong hold.. in other words... he couldn’t wait to face her again.
