Friends Share! - Navi vs. Domino

Those growls. Oh yeah, she's mad. She's furious. And she's going to get a lesson for it. She won't appreciate it at first, Drake's positive about that. But if she's truly, sincerely looking for a title, she'll appreciate it in the future.

As Drake maintains that entirely-too-relaxed poise, he looks at her closely; from those burning blue eyes to the curl of her lips.

Okay, so she won't acknowledge she appreciates it. It'll be a subconscious thing. Ohwell!

When Melody shouts to begin, Navi is in a predictable rush! He can't be sure what she's planning right off the bat, but whatever it is will require physical contact. He skirts wide to the right, clearing her path and letting the raging bull catch nothing but air! He doesn't stay out of harm's way long, however, as he dives right back in with an attempt to catch her around her toned midriff, and promptly snap her body backwards in a quick releasing German suplex!

Melody knew Navi wouldn't get the first move as she rushed at Drake. Sure, pure rage can be a solid strategy sometimes...ok, not often...ok, barely ever, especially when her opponent was seemingly incredibly calm. And her prognosis proved to be correct, as Drake easily dodged the move.

"SHIT!", Navi cursed, trying to turn to face Domino...only for him to catch her into a waistlock! And before Navi could break it, Drake would already be half-way into throwing the blonde over his head!

"AAAAAH!", she screamed in pain as she landed on her neck and shoulders. She tried to sit up, rubbing her aching neck. But, she quickly had Domino in her sights once again, as she rushed to get back to her feet before Drake followed up his attack!

Melody would be right on the money, here. And following the slam, Drake curls back onto his shoulders and kips up to his feet. Navi isn't long for mat-dwelling just yet, it seems - likely fueled by outrage, he figures. And that's fine. She likely figured he'd be bearing in on her. Instead, he attempts to catch her with something more measured to open her up a bit more - a toe-kick aimed for the center of her belly.

His countenance, insofar, remains calm and aloof - perhaps even still on the teasing side. All to goad at her frustrations. The more he can keep this momentum going, the more he has a chance to help her out in the tournament.

With both Navi and Drake on their feet, the two fighters quickly made their way to each other, Navi preparing her arm for a forearm strike onto Drake's face, keeping the angry expression on her face as she approached the calm Domino, with the expression on the guy's face telling her he wasn't taking her seriously. She clenched her arm into a fist, before:

"GUUAH!", Drake's foot drilled into the blonde's stomach toe's first for a Toe Kick!

Doubling down from pain for a second, Navi wouldn't allow Drake to keep up the upper hand like he did now. Trying to stand up straight, attempting to ignore the sharp pain in her stomach, the blonde attempted to nail a Knife Edge Chop right at Drake's chest!

Satisfied when the toe of his shoe sinks into the blonde's abs, Drake prepares to follow up and capitalize on the opening. After all, the point is to double over the opponent, and that's exactly what it did!

Only Navi's popping back much faster than expected. Perhaps that's something that works in favor of unbridled rage. That and force, anyway. Her knife chop collides against his pectoral muscle hard, earning a surprised yelp from him. But he grits his teeth and attempts to return the favor! His right arm draws back, high, and slashes down to attempt nailing her across the chest in a reverse chop of his own!

Melody may notice that he is, again, not going for the blonde's boobs with the attack. He's aiming a little higher. Respectful, he might have said before.

Navi's chop connected with a satisfying sound, the blonde herself smirking as she heard Drake yell in surprise...

...said smirk quickly disappeared however, as Domino returned the favour, and landed his own chop onto Navi's chest, the blonde grunting as she absorbed the hit!

Melody did indeed note that Drake, the gentelman he is, did chop slightly above the blonde's bust line, avoiding attacking her boobs. Melody couldn't help but chuckle at the showcase of chivalry from the guy...

Navi, however, was still overtaken by anger to note such things, just wanting to definitively beat Drake for both beating Melody and taunting her before the spar. Rather than continuing the chopping contest, the blonde decided to go for a different strike. Holding her stinging chest, Navi attempted to launch a forearm strike at Drake's jaw!

Drake isn't doing much to draw focus to his careful aim and considerate method of attack; but it's still poignant. he expects Navi to fire back, but perhaps didn't give her rage enough credit. She slams a forearm into his jaw, whipping his head to the side and forcing him to lean heavily. And this time when Drake returns to her, it's with an attempt to grab the back of her head with his left hand and drill a couple forearm smashes of his own against her cheek! If his flurry follows through, he intends to conclude it with a low punch aimed to catch her in the stomach!

As Navi's attack landed, she knew she had little time to gloat, so she prepared her hand for a similar attack...

...but Drake recovered too quickly, grabbing the blonde by her head, before unleashing a barrage of forearm strikes to her head!

Grunting with each attack, Navi prepared to push Domino off of her after his fourth attack. But as she did, Drake aimed his final attack low, drilling his fist into the blonde's stomach!

"AAAHHH!", she screamed. trying to ignore the pain, she once again, prepared to do as she had intended, to strike Drake's smug face with her forearm...

...but the shot to her stomach took too much out of her. She went down on her knees, doubling down and coughing as the hard attack too her stomach took a good chunk of air out of her lungs...

Navi wasn't holding anything back, that much was clear. The same couldn't be said of Drake just yet - he's not focused on beating her so much as making this match worth her while. Granted, the difference between these things is easily missed, but it hovers somewhere between a level of viciousness and the intent to win versus the intent to train. He needed to create that opening for both tactics. But that difference is what dictates what he does next.

With Navi on her knees and doubled over, Drake moves in behind her back. He drops down behind her and attempts to hook his legs around her thighs from the outside, while ducking his upper-body beneath her left arm. His right arm attempts to hook over her shoulders behind her neck, and finally attempts to drop onto his back with her dragged atop him. The end result? A lying-down abdominal stretch. His free hand moves to her stomach, fingertips aiming to dig into her stomach - albeit very lightly.

It's a complicated hold, and would likely be most effective with an opponent who has been more worn down. And perhaps after everything, he'll fight with a bit more ferocity. But his objective has to be met first; and that depends on him securing Navi in what might best be described as a 'threat' of a hold. Of course, he intends to keep her in that position long enough for it to sink in, and that might be a challenge. But it's worth the risk!

As Navi tried to ger her breathing in order, Drake quickly moved behind her, clearly plotting something. With a surprising dexterity, he would get his upper body underneath Navi's arm, hooking his hand around her sholder and neck before finally taking both himself and the blonde down on the mat with her, trapping Navi in a mat-based Abdominal Stretch!

"AAAAGH...you..goddamn----AHHH!", Navi screamed in pain from the hold, before the cry of agony getting louder as the finger's on Drake's free hand dug into her stomach.

"Oh shit..., Melody thought, realizing that, even if Navi won't find a way to escape, she won't tap, and likely pass out from the hold. Still...didn't hurt to try:

"Umm...Navi do you want to----"

"SHUT THE HELL UP, MELS----AAAGHH....", Navi defiantly refused, at first attempting to force her way out of the hold, as well as to get Domino's arms away from her...but was failing, as the pain from the hold got worse and worse...

However, after good 20 seconds in the hold, she realized the much simpler way to escape the hold! She would try to roll on her left side, while her arm went around Drake's right leg in an attempt to roll his body up for a pin!

"COUNT COUNT COUNT!"

"OH!", Melody realized that Drake's shoulders were on the mat. She quickly dropped to her knees, and started counting...
