Jessica Wright vs. La Mariposa

Jessica came down with all of her weight, right on top of her opponent. There were moves that were more capable of setting the arena alight with camera bulbs flashing because of their intricacy and their flamboyance, but that is not who Jessica was. Back in the dingy gyms of Iowa, that sort of move would have you implanted into the mat in a hurry. That was for the high-flying skinny women in masks. Jessica was going to maximize how painful every single move was.

Which was exactly what she had in mind as she rose from the ground and tried to haul La Mariposa alongside her. From there, she would try to turn her around, and hook the Immortal Butterfly's arms behind her back. Jessica called it a Dead Reckoning, the move she was about to do. When someone was lifted and then slammed onto their face, the name Dead Reckoning seemed appropriate.

Mariposa's only indication that she was alive was the movement of her chest up and down. Jessica's attacks, even with a good chunk of them not relying on her strength, winded her out and hurt her quite a bit, to the point where, when the Violent Violet picked the Luchadora up, she was practically dead weight in her hands...

With no strength in her body after the splash from Jessica, Mariposa would be easily lifted up by her arms by the stronger woman, before having her head driven hard against the canvas for Jessica's signature Dead Reckoning!

Despite her face being in hellish pain, Mariposa didn't even have the energy to scream, making it easy for members of the crowd to believe that, if Jessica were to go for a pin right now, then it would all be over...

Jessica fell down to her knees. The damage that she had done in front of her was obvious. La Mariposa was struggling to even cling to life in her eyes, and the Violent Violet looked down at her battered foe with a look of extreme pride gleaming in her eyes. A moment's doubt came over her. If she were to go for the pin and have her opponent kick out, that would be incredibly embarrassing.

But if she were to get a pin, well, that would be quite something. Opting to go for broke, Jessica rolled her beautiful masked opponent over and fell across her, going for a pin. She hooked the leg, just to make it that little bit more classic, and waited with bated breath.

ONE!

The ref girl counted.

Surprisingly, as Jessica pinned her, Mariposa realized that she could still move her digits, but barely so. Jessica's frame laying atop her put further resistance to her getting up as the ref dropped down to count the pin:

"TWO!"

Mariposa did not want to lose in her debut match. There wasn't anything that could showcase you as weaker or worse than a bad first impression, she believed. Cringing her face, she tried to summon the last of her strength to kick out, pressing her free leg against the floor, and pressing her hands to the mat:

"THR----NO!"

At the last possible moment, the Luchadora managed to throw her fist into the air, disconnecting her shoulder from the canvas!

Jessica's eyes tracked the referee's hand up and down for the count of two. After putting so much effort into this match, she just wanted it all to end. La Mariposa had caused her no end of pain and trouble, and coming away from this match with a victory captured her attention the way that nothing else possibly could. Her nostrils grew wide as she breathed in for the first time. It was probably fine, she rationalized. The count of two meant that she was most of the way there.

Then came the count of thr- no. Immediately, Jessica stood up and started arguing with the ref profusely. "Who the fuck taught you how to count?" She pointed down at her opponent. "You got to three, ring the fucking bell!" She walked over to the ropes and commanded the judges to end the match, but they weren't budging.

With a goran, she returned to her quarry. The Violent Violet was crouched into her stance, ready to explode at her opponent when the time was right.

The kickout was pure instinct on Mariposa's part. If asked to do again, she would likely not deliver on the request.

Her head was still aching, and her senses were severely dulled. She heard voices around her, mostly loud angry ranting from Jessica, before she stopped. Mariposa, meanwhile, simply wanted to find her way to her feet. She was half aware that the Violent Violet would come from somewhere...but from where and how, she needed just a second to recognize her surroundings...

Jessica was eyeing the Immortal Butterfly. Right now, the woman standing in the ring across from her resembled a butterfly with one wing torn off more than she resembled the graceful woman who threw herself across the ring mere minutes ago. The masked woman was clearly not entirely there, and that was plain to see even through her theatrical costume. So it was on Jessica to act.

And act, Jessica did. She charged forward and sent a rocket of a punch towards La Mariposa's abs. From there, she acted quickly to tuck her opponent's head between her strong thighs. From there, Jessica had a plan. She grabbed her opponent's hips, and flipped her up, and then tried to bring her back down fast and strong with a powerbomb!

Out of nowhere, Mariposa recieved a vicious punch to her gut, taking a good bit of wind out of her body by Jessica. The Violent Violet would use the hard shot to set Mariposa up for a Powerbomb, acting almost immediately on it as she tried to slam the Immortal Butterfly down...

...only for Mariposa to cross her legs around Jessica's body and go along with the Powerbombing motion trying to flip Jessica onto her back with a Hurricanrana!

Jessica had flipped her up. That was easy enough. La Mariposa was not the largest woman that she had ever faced, not by a long shot, and Jessica was filled with energy that only coming this close to winning a match could have brought you. It was a reckless energy, one that puts you on the teetering edge of recklessness.

Which is exactly where she found herself. Right when Jessica was about to bring La Mariposa down to the canvas, she noticed a shift. It wasn't a wild one, but it was perceptible. Usually when she did this, her opponent would not move under her own steam. But when the Immortal Butterfly started moving, Jessica knew she was in trouble.

Sure enough, Jessica was sent spinning down to the mat. She crashed down and bounced for a second. The Violent Violet lay motionless from a mixture of pain and surprise.

Despite Mariposa being beaten up and in pain, a surge of energy rushed through her body. This wasn't the only one she felt in this match, but she was most thankful to this one for happening. Rolling off of downed Jessica, the Luchadora managed to easily find her way back to her feet, her pain dissipating, likely only for the time being. She had to make the "time being" in question count.

With that, Mariposa rushed for the nearby top rope, practically hopping to the top as she turned her back on Jessica...

...and jumped, rotating and spinning in midair to turn to the Violent Violet, trying to crash her body into Jessica's with a Pheonix Splash!
