Hoping that her opponent wouldn't follow it up with something else, the Brazilian would try to deliver a straight kick right into her gut, hoping to leave her breathless, thus exposed to her next attack.

Mai sighed as she was forced to let go of her finisher, though at the same time was thoroughly impressed by the fortitude of her opponent. However, as the match went on, Mai noticed her opponent's biggest weakness: predictability. Maybe she was misremembering things in the heat of the moment, but, she felt like Joana had done a kick to the gut before. she would dodge the kick and run at her opponent with a clothesline...

Joana threw a kick at Mai, which her opponent avoided, and in turn, she went to deliver a clothesline, which she avoided by ducking, letting her opponent's arm pass over her head. Then, stepping past Mai, she would make sure that she was behind her so that she could catch her opponent from behind, wrapping her arms around her midsection before lifting her up and then throwing her down into the mat with a side slam!

Mai hit nothing but air in her clothesline, and before he could even counter. She found herself airborne for a short time before hitting the mat in a side slam. More than a little dazed, Mai slowly sat up, wondering how in the world she was going to break this, at least in her mind, frustrating stalemate?

Avoiding her opponent's clothesline before countering it with a side slam, Joana smirked as she looked at her opponent who slowly sat up. Seeing a vulnerable target before her, the half-Brazilian would attempt to hit her with a vicious kick right at the back of her head, hoping to knock her down some more and establish dominance over her opponent.

Mai Roma hear a woosh and instinctively ducked to avoid Joana's kick. Mai had a slight smile on her face as she got up, she was starting to understand her opponent's biggest weakness: predictability. Mai would rush Joana with a spear attempt, hoping to finally get some momentum going.

Joana missed her attack and was hit with a spear for her trouble. "URGHH!!" She grimaced in pain as she was taken down. Still, she wasn't about to make it any easier for Mai as she would try to grab at her head with one hand and start hammering her skull with her other, looking to hurt her despite her being in pain herself.

Even though Joana seemed predictable, it was also clear that she would fight to the end, which Mai believed was at hand. As Joana head butted her, she was sent backwards, Mai had had enough. When her opponent got up, she would once again try for the Trajan Clinch, her bearhug finisher, this time trying to end this match...

Joana was getting annoyed now, though before she could do anything, Mai closed in and caught her. "Ahhh!!" Joana cried out as Mai wrapped her arms around her body. Then, her opponent began squeezing her, and she gritted her teeth as she closed her eyes, throwing her head back as she cried out in pain. "UWAGHH!!!" For a bearhug, it was rather tight and painful, and she attempted to block the pain and struggle, though she couldn't get herself out of the hold.

Mai kept the hold locked in, Mai knew that if she didn't make her tap or pass out now, that this match would not fall in her favor. Mai continued to squeeze her opponent, if she was being real with herself, trying to break another human being in this matter was rather barbaric, but, it was an effective move, and part of her wanted to cinch the hold on a special someone...
