Maria Castillo vs Tara Jaeger "The Belly Stretcher"

The crowd made the traditional "WOO!" when Maria's chop clapped against Tara's chest, but they REALLY flinched when Tara responded in kind, cutting deep into the luchadora's defenses with a knife edged chop of her own! The sting drove her back a foot or so, before she caught a rather nasty kick to the gut! Air knocked clean out of her, she stumbled in place! By the time she looked up Tara had already launched herself forward, knees raised!

'Rookie' Maria thought with a smirk.

Dodging to the side, she wrapped an arm around Tara's neck, bringing the woman crashing down hard on her spine with the most perfect slingblade counter the audience had ever seen! Even as Maria kipped back up to her feet, the crowd were so stunned by the smooth display of athleticism. Standing beside Tara, the woman leaped up into the air, spinning in a complete circle to deliver a standing shooting star press right to Tara's ribs!

Tara’s eyes widened as she was caught by the sling blade counter of Maria’s making her back hit the mat with a grunt of pain. ‘Dammit.’ She thought to herself before gasping in pain as Maria’s body crashed into hers. “Gua! Not so fast!” She would yell following the initial pained grunt. Knowing her opponet would likely try right off the bat for a pin Tara would buck her hips and chest up trying to dislodge Maria and get her off her

THe smooth fluidity of motion was worthy of a Twitter gif, with Maria spinning around to go for the cover. It seemed Tara though had more fight in her, bucking her body and arching her back to throw the Luchadora over! Rolling onto her back, Maria kipped back up to her feet, her body crouched and her silver eyes never leaving her opponent! The crowd oooh'd and applauded the pair for the back and forth motion, seeing that while Maria was skilled, Tara clearly had the stamina to keep up!

Smiling softly, Maria went for a wrist lock, twisting Tara's arm painfully to gain control and force Tara back down! Strikes it seemed wouldn't put her down. Wearing down her limbs would soften the rookie up enough to put her away for sure!

Despite successfully getting Maria off of her Tara had no moment to rest as the mexican wrestler came right back getting onto her feet and grabbing her arm for a wrist lock. Wincing slightly from this Tara kept her wits about her.

With her trapped hand Tara gripped Maria’s hand. Ducking down and turning sharply Tara would untwist her hand while using the sudden movment to bring herself closer while throwing her leg up to try and slam her knee into Maria’s stomach for a counter attack.

Maria growled out in irritation when Tara managed to untwist her arm and slam that knee into the Luchadora's stomach. The blow momentarily lifted the veteran off her feet, hand still clamped in the iron grip of her opponent! Swaying from the blow, Maria fell back a bit...only to launch her own knee up in a sudden V-Trigger to the jaw, letting out a warrior's scream right in Tara's face!

Tara smirked savagely as she managed to land the heavy blow into Maria’s stomach. Feeling especial satisfaction from the blow. However the moment was fleeting as Maria’s knee suddenly shot up driving into her jaw making her stumble back. “Gah?!” Tara yelled releasing the luchadora while holding her jaw. Glaring at Maria the middleweight give a warriors scream of her own as she dashed at her opponet leaping up for a leaping knee of her own into Maria’s chest.

Maria's lips twisted into an almost insane grin. Her blood was pumping, and her heart was hammering, with her gesturing for Tara to bring it! The crowd was feeling it too, the younger members standing up as Tara leaped forward....right onto Maria's shoulders!!!! The luchadora spun around in a complete circle, letting out a war cry before flinging Tara off her shoulders, her knee coming up to crack the rookie right in the skull with her Kiss of the Reaper finisher right out of nowhere!
The impact would no doubt floor her opponent, with Maria falling over her to hook the leg for the count!

Tara’s eyes widened as instead of impacting with the chest of her opponet like she expected she was hauled up onto the shoulders of her opponet. “Shit!” She cursed as she braced herself as her stomach churned from the sudden rotation as her body circled through the air before crashing into the mat. “AGHHHHH!” Tara screamed lpudly in pain as her back arched in pain and she writhed on the mat in pain, kicking her legs against the mat from the stinging sensation that coursed through her body making her nerves scream out in shock and pain. Unfortunately she barely had time to register the pain before she felt Maria’s weight on top of her and her leg pulled up.

One!!!” The ref counted as she hit the mat while Tara’s mind immediately started racing with thoughts of escaping but it was as if Maria’s previous move had caused her mind and body to go out of sync.

Two!!! The ref counted as finally Tara felt feeling and resistance burning through her as she was determined to break free. ‘My first match! Will not end like this!’ She shouted to herself internally as the ref’s hand came down

Thr- Right as the ref was about to make the last call Tara worked up the sheer willpower to kick out a moments before the hand of the ref hit the mat in a very near fall!

It was the perfect opportunity, really.

With everyone's attention on Maria's near victory, and Tara's come from behind escape, all eyes were on the ring. And, conveniently, none of them were in the stands.

If they were, they might have noticed the woman with the silver-highlighted hair who had been sitting near the front row of the crowd for the first few matches. The one who'd been watching with a grim look on her face, unimpressed even when the rest of the crowd was rejoicing. A few social media posts from those fans who had caught sight of her in some of the crowd cutaways would ponder if she looked familiar, but nothing was made of it.

No one would notice it either as that woman got up from her seat suddenly, rushing down the stairs to the ring. It wasn't until she was already on the ground that the security guards began to close in. But, hopping up onto the ring apron, she held off their trail, shoving back at her pursuers to send them sprawling to the floor, and buying her some time. At that point, she tossed off the flannel shirt she wore and stepped over the ropes, just as Tara would be righting herself. And, from there, she would rush in at Maria, aiming a chop straight at her throat. This was her moment, and she wouldn't allow her to steal her glory.

In just that short amount of time, chaos had broken loose. Now, everyone in the crowd had their attention on the new arrival. And those suspicions had been confirmed.

The kickout of Kiss of the Reaper left Maria stunned. No one in LAW had kicked out of that movie! It was a match ending move! How was this even possible? The veteran looked over to Tara, slowly nodding to Tara as much as herself. Ok then. It was clear that Tara was one of the stronger women the Reaper had yet to face in this league. More drastic measures would have to be taken, One hand clutching Tara's chin and dragging her up when-

BAM!

No sooner had she turned to throw Tara into the ropes, than an unknown intruder scrambled into the ring, slamming her hand in a nasty chop to Maria's throat, the momentum bowling both her and Tara over in the process! The ref called for the bell, with the bell keeper hammering away while Maria clutched at her neck, struggling to catch her breath! The crowd was on it's feet, the Reaper leaning onto the ropes while massaging her throat!
