Kyoko Kobashi vs. Ashley Lucas

Taking Misako's fist into her chin, the referee's legs gave out from under her, and she crumpled to the mat beneath her. The short-haired girl gave her a kick in the side for good measure, but it ultimately didn't make a difference either way; the official was decidedly out. Ashley saw it all, of course, and she was quick to voice her concerns - but for her efforts, all she was met with was a swift punch from Sachiko.

As Ashley fell to the ground before her, Sachiko was left cracking her knuckles with a smirk. "Eh, nah, I don't think we will. We've never been one for rules...and they're not gonna help you now!" Sachiko watched as Ashley began to stir, forcing herself to her knees. The sukeban had to admit, she was impressed that she had the resilience to recover that quickly even after taking a beating - but, at the same time, it gave Sachiko other ideas. She was going to play with Ashley's expectations, waiting for just the right moment, until she had gotten fully straightened on her knees and looked ready to rise. And then, as she was getting up, Sachiko shot out again, going to knee her in the face! "Whoops!"

As Ashley got up to her knees she noted a lack of resistance from Sachiko who was bragging about how their group didn't care about the rules and how they wouldn't help Ashley now. Ashley was very content with letting Sachiko talk, all she was focused on was getting up so that she could make her eat those words. Even in a situation as dire as this Ashley still believed that she could turn this around. First she would beat Sachiko, then she would move on to Misako and beat the crap out of her for what she did to the referee, then she would pin Kyoko once the referee got back up and she would win. That was the plan, anyway, but she was confident in her success

Then reality settled in and her confidence was smashed, along with her face as Sachiko's knee swung into Ashley's face. Ashley, determined not to be knocked down, grabbed Sachiko by the waist to keep herself balanced. As a result Ashley was not knocked down, but the knee to the face stopped her in her tracks from climbing up to her feet, leaving her with her arms wrapped around Sachiko's waist and leaning into her. She looked far too dazed to launch any kind of offence at this point.

Ashley had fallen for it, hook line and sinker. Sachiko had to chuckle a little to herself at the thought of how easy it had been. Thinking that Sachiko was too blinded by her own hubris, the blonde was using this time to collect herself and to try to push her self back up. She thought that she could turn things around...but she was only setting herself up to deliver her face right into Sachiko's knee, as the blue-haired girl swung it with a thunderous blow!

Ashley might have been jostled, but to her credit, she didn't go down. At the last minute, she had been able to cling to Sachiko and stabilize herself, hanging off of her and panting for breath. Sachiko had to smirk a little at this - having a good-looking girl like Ashley hanging off of her was always a plus. But more to the point was what it allowed her to do with her.

"Heh, thanks for the help, babe~" Sachiko teased. Bending over backward, she brought Ashley up into a better position for her to encircle her arms around her waist, lifting her up higher. Then, she fell back, looking to deliver the blonde's head straight into the mat with a German suplex!

As Ashley clung to Sachiko's body she tried to control her breathing so that she could recover her stamina. Perhaps in time she could regain enough energy to fight back against Sachiko. Unfortunately the blue haired delinquent did not intend to give her that time as she wrapped her arms around her waist to prepare for a German Suplex "W-wait!" Unfortunately for the blonde her words fell on empty ears and she was slammed down into the mat head first.

Ashley's body flopped down, leaving her laying flat on the mat with her limbs spread like she was trying to make a snow angel. It would be clear to Sachiko that the beating she had given Ashley, who was already weakened from her match so far with Kyoko, had left her more or less down for the count. Ashley's eyelids were flickering and she had a vacant expression on her face. Ashley made no attempt to get up this time, the only indication that she was still conscious was the low moan she let out slowly.

The pride that Ashley had felt from her impending victory over Kyoko had been crushed, and now the fall had come.

With the German suplex hitting, Sachiko was quick to get back up from the ground, placing her hands on her hips and beaming with a grin of abject pride. The crowd was booing her loudly, disgusted by the sight of her interference stealing a hard-fought victory away from the girl who by all means should have come out on top. But Sachiko didn't care. As far as she was concerned, she'd already won it for her team, proving to any onlookers not to mess with the Heartbreakers. She looked down at where the blonde lay crumpled beneath her, giving her a boot to the side just to seal the deal, but from the looks of it, Ashley wasn't getting up any time soon. It seemed she was well and truly out of commission.

Turning back to Misako, Sachiko smirked, going to slip out through the ropes. "Okay, I think we've had enough," she said. "She should get the hint. Kyoko, you can take it from here!"

"You got it!" Kyoko said in response, jumping back up as Misako followed their leader out of the ring. At the same time, with the referee already in the ring showing no signs of life, the decision had been made backstage to get a new one for the rest of the match, and the replacement ref was running down the ramp there and then - just as the Heartbreakers, conveniently, had slipped off the apron.

Ashley blinked hazily as she looked up at the lights shining down on her, she could barely hear the sound of the audience booing Sachiko but it sounded distant. As she tilted her head she could slightly make out a silhouette that was probably Sachiko. The silhouette shifted slightly and suddenly Ashley felt a sharp pain in her side, even though it really hurt the only sound Ashley made was a grunt, any energy she had to scream had been beaten out of her.

Ashley watched as Sachiko left the ring, her eyelids fluttering as the last of her consciousness faded. The new referee's arrival and whatever Kyoko chose to do next would go by completely unknown to Ashley, who would not wake up until long after the end of the match.

Realizing what was being done, the crowd began to boo loudly at the action in the ring. The Heartbreakers had timed their intrusion perfectly - or at least, they'd just gotten lucky; no one could really call them master strategists. While the ref was out, they'd used the lapse in enforcement of any rules to lay it into the defenseless Ashley - and now that a new referee had been called in to restore order, they were getting out of sight just in time to dodge any suspicion! The crowd had been behind Ashley, but now, it looked like the Heartbreakers' dirty tricks had cost her the match.

Worst of all, the ref knew none the wiser. She slipped in through the ropes, getting into position, just as Kyoko saw her cue. She landed on top of the downed Ashley, hooking her leg and pushing down her shoulders. With Ashley dazed as she was, there was little to do to save her now!

"One! Two! THREE!"

The bell rang, and Kyoko jumped up from Ashley with her fists in the air. As the ring announcer proclaimed her victory, her partners jumped into the ring as well, with Kyoko pulling them into a group hug (much to Misako's disinterest) before they joined hands and lifted them skyward. Not even the boos of the crowds could keep down their celebration. As far as they were concerned, this was what they were all about!

"Think we should wake her up?" Kyoko said, looking back at the fallen Ashley.

"Nah," Misako added. "She'll wake up when she feels like it. But..." Briefly, the green-clad girl broke away from the rest of her team to throw a kick into Ashley's side, after which she smirked. "Okay, there. Now I'm done."

Satisfied, the three of them turned and left the ring together, side by side. Another victory for the Heartbreakers - whether they'd been booked to show up as a team or not.
