Sirya vs. Long Shin II - Arena Battle

Sirya watched her opponent as he stood and taunted her, laughing as though her declaration that she was going to stay back and wait for the right opportunity to strike was a joke. The girl hardly appreciated being mocked, and she grew tense, clenching her teeth and hissing like a cat as her fingers gripped the shaft of her spear tighter. She was tempted to strike here and now - but she reminded herself that she would have to wait. If she made her move right away, the warrior would be in a perfect position to counter-attack.

But Sirya wasn't going to do that. She would wait for just the right time - and that time, it seemed, was now! The warrior charged her, bellowing with a roar, but Sirya slipped off to the side to get around him. She stuck out her spear, aiming it towards his ankles so that his forward momentum would carry her over it, and cause him to trip!

What the warrior had in strength, he lacked for intelligence. Most of the time, this wouldn't matter much as the battlefields he was used to being on had little to no room for thinking, it was all based on instinct. With Sirya being very quick witted, she found the perfect counter to his brute force tactics and stuck out her spear to trip him up, "W-what!" He let out a surprised gasp as his body fell forward and his face planting hard into the ground below.

The moment of impact made him see stars and the taste of purple was all through his mouth. Too stunned to move, Sirya has all the advantage now to put her foe away!

Pathetic, Sirya thought to herself. For however big her opponent might have talked, and for whatever confidence he might have had in his victory, he hadn't evidently accounted for such a simple move. Yet, just tripping him up as he charged was enough for Sirya to take him off his feet, leaving him to taste the dust on the ground below!

"Wow...ya really are an idiot, huh?" Sirya taunted, looking down at the larger man with crossed arms and a disappointed air that seemed almost comical given the discrepancy in size between the two, yet there was no question that Sirya was now in the position of power. She was intent to exercise that, too, and she stepped closer, raising her foot to stamp the sole of her boot down onto the back of the warrior's throat! He was at a moment of vulnerability, and Sirya thought that by targeting his airways she could weaken him further.

The man from the north was embarrassed beyond belief that he was tricked by such a small opponent. How was she able to think on the fly like that and execute such a simplistic, but effect move on him? Just when his mind was starting to clear up, he heard her call him an idiot, but when he went to respond back to her, he felt an immense pressure on the back of his throat! His eyes and mouth shot wide open from the impact and the only sounds that came out were gurgling noises.

The warrior began to squirm underneath her boot and tried to push his way upwards, hoping it would be enough to lift her up and off of his neck, but the fall in combination with her choking just sapped the strength right out of his arms. His giant body collapsed right back down onto the ground below as liquid started to pour out from his nose, mouth, and eyes. His airways were just too constricted now, there isn't much hope left for him but to tap out.

Sirya definitely had experiences in situations like these. Despite her smaller frame, she had managed to survive the harsh life in the forest for all her life by overpowering stronger beasts and choking the life out of them, going after their weak points to secure whatever advantage she could. To do this to a human being was only an extension of the same concept. And yet, as the northern warrior crumpled underneath Sirya, with his body going limp the longer she held the shaft of her spear against his throat, the girl couldn't help but be disappointed. Surely, she thought, a captor who was so proud of his collection of warriors could do better than that.

As it became clear her opponent had little chance of freeing himself, Sirya at last let go, drawing her spear away from the man's throat to let him slimp to the ground. With a huff, she stepped over to his fallen form, raising a foot to stamp it against his back, as she turned back to the audience with a glare. "C'mon, you can do better than that!" she shouted - addressed more to the officiator of this tournament than to her foe.

With the battle over and the dust finally settling in the arena, the officiator would rub his chin and give a sly smirk to Sirya. It was as if he was saying that she really peaked his interest. Her outburst towards him didn't phase him at all, in fact, it made him all that more curious about her. Such a small stature, yet, brutal and cunning to take down foes much larger than her. This might just be his best find yet!

Sirya and Long continued to battle foe after foe until it was just them left in the finals. Both of them looking a bit worse for ware after their fights, but they had enough strength to go on. Long would step forward first into the arena and half of the crowd would cheer him on, while the other half would give their enthusiastic cries to Sirya. "At long last, it is down to just us again Sirya. I've been watching your matches and the way you handle yourself out there is truly amazing!" He complimented her and then got into his fighting stance, "But don't take that as me going to go easy on you. I want to leave here just as much as you do."

The tournament went on, and both competitors showed it their all. While neither of them looked like champions when the tournament began, both of them had full opportunity to display their talents - Sirya with her nimbleness and command of her opponents' weak points even despite her size and fragility, and Long with his knowledge of how to strike crippling blows and turn the momentum of his foes against them. They continued to rise through the ranks, gaining win after win and even gaining the attention of a few fans in the crowd as they cheered them on during their battles. Sirya couldn't help but be disappointed with how little anyone here was putting up a fight against her - but all the same, she was winning. And that was what she set out to do.

But now, at long last, it had come to this. Down to the final two - the very two that had entered together, and stuck it out all the way. The impromptu arena was in a hush as everyone watched in rapt attention. With both fighters having had such great success, no one was certain who the victor could be. They looked on in awe as Sirya, too, closed in to face Long, not saying a word. The silence was almost a sacred one.

Long, of course, had plenty of praise for Sirya, but she didn't seem all that invested. With her usual casual disposition, she shrugged her shoulders, cracking her knuckles and adjusting the panther skin she wore as a cloak. "Eh..." She looked up towards Long with a noncommittal look. "Ya think? Sounds more to me like everyone else is a total loser."

But at the same time, Sirya couldn't deny that there was some truth to what he said. She had lasted this long after all, and against all the greatest warriors their captors could amass. Long had, too - and she had to admit that his efforts were truly impressive. The techniques he had shown in their last fight hadn't waned in him, and he was still at his peak. If they were to fight again now, it would at last be the challenge Sirya had hoped for all this while.

"Believe me, though...and I say this knowin' yer no slouch yourself. I saw you out there. Yer good. But I'm not gonna give ya anything less than my best!"

"Then let the finals...begin." The officiator signaled for a gong to be struck, and its ringing filled the room. The fight was on.

Sirya would have some words back to Long and it sounds like she didn't think much of the competition around here. Sure, Long didn't have that hard of a time either, but he saw what each and every fighter possessed that he battled against and respected their fighting ability. Either way though, it was only Long and Sirya left and the officiator signaled for the match to start. The crowd again went into a frenzy as some chants would pop up here and there for both fighters.

Having lost to Sirya the first time, Long knew he needed to keep a cool head and not fall for the same trick. His last defeat came because he was pinned up against a tree and she used her ass as a surprise attack to take the fight right out of him! Long started to circle around and said to her, "You took me by surprise with that move you pulled off back then with your butt, but don't think you'll be able to catch me with that again." Long hoped that this would put that move out of her mind and thus, give him an advantage in this fight.

Every eye in the room was fixed now upon the two fighters as they circled one another in the middle of the arena. Both of them had proved themselves well in previous battles, and now it was down to the two of them to determine who was the best. Each one of them, too, watched their opponent with an unblinking, steady glare. Sirya kept her attention on Long as she slowly and carefully turned around him, strafing around the perimeter of the ring. She leaned in closer, bending at the hips and looking up at him with her spear held before her. The young panther girl was ready to strike at the best moment. Now, it was all just a matter of waiting for that moment to arrive.

Long was the one to open up the hostilities, though not with his fists but with his words. As he brought up Sirya's rather less than dignified tactics in their previous meeting, she rolled her eyes with a groan, while those close enough to the action to hear had to snicker, curious and somewhat wishing they could have been there to see it. Of course, Sirya herself was not one for dignity. "Aww, c'mon," she groaned. "This place doesn't have trees, sure, but it does have walls..."

All of this was only prolonging the inevitable, however. And Sirya eventually grew tired of waiting. Holding the spear in front of her, she broke into a charge, barreling straight towards Long. "It doesn't matter, though!" she said. "I'm gonna kick yer ass anyway!" Her strides were quick, and she helf the point of her weapon ready to skewer her foe, but at the same time, she wasn't exactly prepared to defend herself, should things go south.

The final match was on! Sirya came rushing in right at Long and Long watched closely as the point of her spear came closer and closer. Just when it looked like it was about to pierce his flesh, Long would backhand the point of the spear away from his body and looked to hit Sirya with a stiff right hand. Long's hand though would catch nothing but air as Sirya was just too fast and he had no choice but to back off before she retaliated with another spear strike.

"Just as I thought... My human form isn't going to be good enough for you. Looks like the crowd around here is going to get a bit more than they paid for." Long said taking a quick glance around before shutting his eyes. An aura of energy would quickly rise up through his body and an electrical sensation could be felt by everyone in the room. Just then, a flash of brilliant light would emanate from Long's body and after the blinding light faded, a tiger like humanoid figure stood where Long was just standing. "Much better... Now, let's truly get this match going!"

The crowd was, to be expected, completely stunned by this transformation. Even in an alien place like this, what Long just did was nothing like they've ever seen before. The crowd though would have to get over that soon as Long gave them no time to gawk. Long would close the distance between him and Sirya in blinding speed before jumping up into the air and extending out both feet to try and land a dropkick to her chest!
