Where's The Pudding?

Diana's instictive counter was effective. Sam was stunned for a moment while her friend tended to her and tried to talk her down. She'd raise her head to respond to Diana, seemingly being receptive to her words.

"S-sorry! I'm mad at myself! I swear I took my time making it and put it in a safe place to give to you after your match! I wanted you to have it! But now I can't fiiiiind it!" Sam said in a whiny voice while leaning into her friend and trying to hug her.

Diana couldn't possibly understand Sam's thought process so she wouldn't even try; instead, the tired girl would pull her friend close and say, "I'm really happy you thought so much about me." Diana's tan cheeks would redden slightly as she spoke in her usual quiet tone. "Maybe we can find it if we look together.

Diana was glad her friend had calmed down and she hoped Sam wouldn't be too angry about the punch to the stomach...

Samantha felt bad about having engaged her friend in combat thinking that would possibly solve anything. She gladly accepted the blushing beauty's help up and hugged her friend while replying.

"Of course I don't mind! And I'm always thinking of you."

Sam would try to find it within herself to smile at Diana and ask for forgiveness.

"D-Diana....? I'm...really sorry." She said whilst putting a hand on her other arm and forcing a rather sad smile.

Diana's eyes widened and her cheeks grew even deeper red as Sam hugged her upon standing up. Her green eyes watered as her dear friend said she was always thinking of her. Her heart was pounding violently against her small chest.

Sam apologized and gave Diana the saddest smile that broke the Brazilian's pounding heart.

"I-Its ok! I forgive you!" a seeing a sad Sam was far more painful than anything she'd experienced tonight, and that was counting her match! "I'm happy knowing that you're th-thinking about me..." Diana looked down at the floor, her face glowing red as she spoke.

Upon seeing Diana's reaction, Sam's smile would gradually grow from being a sad one to a genuinely happy one.

"All the time!" The blue-nette replied in a more chipper tone.

"Thanks for forgiving me...Wanna help me find the pudding? We can wrestle again after, haha" Sam offered while placing a hand on Diana's face and attempting to wipe away her green eyed friend's tears. Sam wasn't extraordinary in many capacities, but if there was one thing she was good it, it was comforting and being there for those she held dear.

Diana tensed up raised her head, eyes wide as Samantha touched her face. The Brazilian girl's cheeks burned and her hear pounded in her chest as her dear friend wiped away her tears.

Dina quickly looked away from her blue haired friend's radiant smile and clasped her hands together below her waist and shifted her shoulders awkwardly. every once and a while she would steal glances at Sam as she spoke but would quickly advert her gaze again.

once Sam had finished, Diana could hardly bare to utter a response. With the deafening sound of her own heart beat ringing in her ears the blushing brown beauty would stop biting her quivering lips and speak.

"Y-yeah..." was all she could muster before staring back at the floor. seeing Sam's smiling face had been nearly fatal.

Sam was able to change the mood. Though she inadvertently made her room mate feel embarrassed. Diana's blushy face wasn't anything new to the perky, blue haired girl. She continued smiling while standing up straight and stretching lightly before pointing towards the hallway leading to the living room, kitchen, and the rest of their living space.

"Then our search begins! Onwards!" Sam would call out in emphatic and silly fashion. She'd adjust her pajama pants before darting forwards to search. After a few steps forward, however, Samantha would change course to make way for the kitchen. Her tummy would growl audibly as she rummaged through the fridge. After looking for a few seconds, Sam wouldn't find anything that caught her eye. She'd unwittingly and accidentally slam the fridge door closed in frustration whilst pouting. The slam would shake the fridge a bit, ensuing in a small container on top of it falling off the edge and onto the kitchen floor. The container housed the pudding that Sam had been uppity about since Diana's arrival. She'd exclaim in a loud voice as it hit the floor.

"THE PUDDING!!!"

Diana smiled as Sam loudly announced the comencment of the great pudding hunt. The blue haired girl would be such a child sometimes but Diana loved that about her.

Sam lead the way and began sansacking the fridge in her determined search for the pudding. Diana would frantically try to put food and condiments back in the fridge as quickly as Sam was throwing them out. Despite her efforts, the pudding was still MIA. Diana was beginning to wonder if Sam hadn’t eaten it and forgotten but she shook her head, deciding she would trust that her friend wasn’t “that” forgetful.

Sam slammed the fridge door shut, causing something to hit the floor. There on the linoleum floor sat a container housing the so sought after pudding!

”I’m so glad!” Diana let out a sigh of relief. She was happy that the search would conclude without any further destruction to their apartment.

After exclaiming her relief and calming down from her hysteria, the pajama-clad dropped down to her knees and collected her prized confection. She'd hold it up with both hands as if it were an award on a game show, and then pop up to her feet to turn to her roommate.

"Me, too! Let's share it and watch movies! You need rest! It's been a loooong day."

Later she'd clean the mess that she made in the bedroom whilst wrestling Diana. But for now, Sam would reach for Diana's hand to begin pulling her towards the living room. with a wide smile, renewed mirth, and skip in her step, Samantha Roberts would come to terms with her brief conflict and direct her efforts towards facilitating rest for her best friend.
