Kyoko Kobashi vs. Ashley Lucas

Ashley's chop had its effect in getting Kyoko to stagger back, opening up more distance between her and her opponent. But she was a tough girl, and she had been known to shake off damage that by any means should have done her more trouble than it actually had. As soon as Ashley tried to close in on Kyoko, she hit her back with a kick, and it caught her right in time as the blonde came within range! Bending over forward, she was staggered, and Kyoko was left admiring her efforts with a grin.

But a moment later, she raised an eyebrow in confusion. Ashley wasn't done yet - and the pendulum of this fast-paced exchange of moves and counters was now swinging back to her! Kyoko found herself teetering on one foot, as Ashley held her firm, and a moment later, the blonde shifted her weight to the side, swinging her down in an arc to make contact with the mat! She landed with a thud and a cough, the landing leaving her dazed. For now, she would be at Ashley's mercy.

Ashley's Dragon Screw was successful in bringing Kyoko down to the mat, dazing the heal momentarily. Learning from her mistake of assuming she would stay dazed for long enough to bring her to her feet, Ashley moved to start grappling on the ground. Ashley squatted down and went to grab the redhead by the legs, if Kyoko resisted Ashley would attempt to throw an elbow to the stomach to subdue her. If she succeeded she would try and turn Kyoko around so that she would be facing down towards the mat with her legs raised in the air.

If she managed to get Kyoko into this position without her breaking free Ashley would hook her arms around Kyoko's legs and bend them back, locking in her patented 'Give Up Already Lock', which was her name for a Boston Crab.

Kyoko had hit the mat hard, the impact causing her to let out a groan as her body began to deflate against the canvas. She grit her teeth and shook her head, trying to will the fight back into her. She couldn't let Ashley get away with this for long, she told herself - the blonde was proving to be a worthy opponent for her, and if she took too much more damage she would be in trouble. She tried to brace herself, planting her palms and feet against the mat and trying to force herself back up to her feet...

But sure enough, Ashley was already on the case. Ashley grabbed hold of her well-toned legs, hoisting them skyward as she got down in between them. Seeing the pressure was on, she tried to fight back, moving to push her legs in closer and get them around Ashley's head to try and weaken her with a headscissor. But Ashley, too, was prepared for that. She slammed an elbow down into Kyoko's stomach, causing her to let out another cough as she fell back into the mat. Her legs went limp - enough for Ashley to turn her over before climbing atop her back and pulling her legs backward! Her lower body hoisted off the ground and her back twisted into an arc, Kyoko let out a scream of pain. She tried to reach out for the nearest ropes, only to find they were just tantalizingly out of reach. Clenching her teeth as a cold sweat trickled down the back of her neck, Kyoko's hand trembled, trying to will herself closer.

When Ashley was trying to set up her 'Give Up Already Lock' Kyoko attempted to interrupt it by wrapping her legs around Ashley's head for a headscissor. Ashley cut her resistance short with an elbow to the stomach that left Kyoko limp enough for the submission hold to be locked in. As Ashley pulled on Kyoko's legs she could hear her crying out in pain, which to Ashley was music to her ears. Although she was enjoying herself she was still keeping a vigilant eye on her opponent's actions, so she saw Kyoko trying to get closer to the ropes "Oh no you don't!" With a mighty tug Ashley would attempt to drag Kyoko away from the ropes.

If she was successful she would take the opportunity to punish her opponent for her actions by yanking on her legs even harder, hoping to inflict even more pain on Kyoko to wear her down "You're not so tough without your galpals to back you up!! Where are your friends now, huh!?!"

Reaching out towards the ropes, Kyoko was desperate to do something to free herself from her opponent's clutches. Her hands trembled, trying to stretch out towards the ropes, but falling just short. Her teeth were clenched and her eyes wide, as she sputtered in disbelief. "No-!" she shouted. For all her efforts, Ashley had her locked down - and as she yanked back on her legs, things would only get worse for Kyoko, who let out a scream out of reflex! She immediately bit her lip at that thought. The last thing she wanted to do was to look weak. And, for that same reason, she didn't want to tap out - but it was beginning to look more and more like she might have to bite the bullet in that regard.

But such things weren't to be. Just as Ashley had begun to taunt Kyoko about how helpless she was without her teammates, the universe would deign to prove her wrong. Almost as if on cue, the other two members of the Heartbreakers charged down the ramp. The security tried to hold them back, but it wasn't going to do them much good, as they shoved them aside effortlessly before diving into the ring!

There, they got back up, and Sachiko stormed forward to lock eyes with Ashley, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. Misako stood behind her, tapping a fist against the palm of her hand.

"You were saying?" Sachiko interjected. "We heard what you were up to on the TV backstage...and we can't say we like it."

Ashley had a huge smirk on her face as she locked in her Boston Crab that only widened when her heel opponent let out a scream. From an outside perspective it might be pretty easy to mistake Ashley for the heel with that look on her face, but the crowd was absolutely behind her in this match considering who she was up against. Things were going well for Ashley, it was starting to look like Kyoko was going to tap out any moment now "Come on! Give up!"

But in the end no one would ever find out if she would or wouldn't, as at that moment two women made their way down the ramp; they were Kyoko's teammates, the other two members of the Heartbreakers. Ashley's shock at their arrival caused her to loosen her hold on Kyoko's legs without thinking about it, and when it was clear that the intruders were coming into the ring she reluctantly abandoned her hold so that she could stand up to meet them; if she had held the hold when they came in then she would have been a sitting duck.

A blue haired woman called Sachiko, the leader of the bunch, approached Ashley and confirmed that their comical timing wasn't a coincidence, they had heard what Ashley had said and took it as a challenge. If Ashley was afraid of the Heartbreakers then it didn't show, even though she probably should be. She looked more annoyed than anything else "Listen, this is between me and her. Back off, bitch." She would then try and give Sachiko a big shove. Ashley is not exactly an expert in conflict de-escalation.

Kyoko didn't like this one bit. She was normally pretty tough when it came to pain, and she didn't bend easily to things that, by all means, should have been a lot worse for her than they were. But, whether by luck or her own skill, Ashley had still gotten her good. Now, tense, sweating nervously as she tried uselessly to reach for the ropes, Kyoko realized she was running out of options. She'd have no choice but to tap, and that was something she did not exactly want to do.

But the point was moot, anyway, as her partners came in - and Kyoko looked back at them with a smile of genuine admiration. Her heroes had come to her rescue! Her heroes were, of course, in this case a pair of ruthless delinquents who weren't afraid to beat up anyone in their path. But they were her ruthless delinquents! And now that Sachiko had took to the ring, Ashley relinquished the hold, giving her some much-needed breathing room. Rubbing the soreness out of her back, Kyoko rolled to her knees, watching her teammates do their thing.

Sachiko's composure didn't break as she stared Ashley down, maintaining a threatening presence. She figured her appearance wouldn't be enough to get Ashley to break, but it didn't matter. She was perfectly ready to get more physically involved if it came to that. And, as Ashley taunted her, all it did was make a toothy grin spread over her face. "Listen, babe, there's no need to flatter me. We're a gang, y'see. And if you wanna mess with her...we're gonna be there to back her up."

Ashley shoved her back, causing Sachiko to stumble. But Misako was in place, and she got in behind her, stopping her in place. Thus stabilized, Sachiko stepped forward once again. "Just wanna say...ya started it," she said, before aiming a kick right into the blonde's stomach.

As expected Sachiko didn't back off when Ashley told her too, instead she just grinned and explained that the Heartbreakers are a group who backed each other up. Ashley didn't care about their group dynamic and showed Sachiko how she felt about it with a rough shove. After Misako stopped Sachiko the blue haired woman stepped forward, gave a foreboding one-liner and threw a kick at Ashley's stomach. Ashley saw the kick coming a mile away and moved her hands to catch it, but as fatigued as Ashley was her counter was a step too slow and she took the shot to the stomach "Gah!"

Ashley groaned in pain as she bent forward while clutching her stomach. She was too tough to be brought down just by one kick, but Sachiko had plenty of chance for a follow up.

As far as Sachiko was concerned, it didn't even matter that Ashley had tried to counter her kick. What mattered was that she missed, and that meant that Sachiko was definitely on to something. In fact, she probably didn't even realize she had tried to counter anyway - but she had gotten results, and she grinned a toothy grin with pride at her efforts.

"Hey! Get out of the ring!" the referee said, at last having enough of the Heartbreakers' shenanigans to try and step in between them. But for her efforts, Sachiko merely shoved her out of the way. "Hey, Misako, think you could do the honors? I got bigger fish to fry."

"You read my mind." Misako had been waiting for the opportunity to hit something, and now it was her chance, as she stepped up to the ref girl as she staggered to a stop. But the official's torments were far from over, as Misako threw a swift uppercut to her jaw, knocking her flat on the ground.

Sachiko, meanwhile, was still closing in on Ashley, looming above her like a menacing gargoyle. "This is gonna be fun..." she muttered, before swinging a punch straight for her face!

Ashley's stomach felt like it had been smacked by a hammer after taking the kick from Sachiko so soon after taking a similar blow from Kyoko. She grit her teeth from pain while clutching her stomach as she struggled to stay on her feet. The referee stepped in, trying to do her job, and for her efforts she was hit with a powerful uppercut from Misako "Stop that you bast-" Before she could finish her protest she was shut up with a punch to the face from Sachiko that knocked her down to the ground, landing on her back.

Ashley felt a sense of urgency when she was knocked down, she knew that although her chances of victory were slim she needed to get back to her feet as soon as possible. If she stayed down long enough for the Heartbreakers to jump her on the ground then she wouldn't be getting back up until long after the match was over. With that instinct in mind she ignored her body's protests and made her way up to her knees, holding one hand on her face where she was punched. Despite her urgency and how quickly she had managed to get up to her knees her movements were sluggish as she tried to get to her feet.
