Mae Madison vs. Layla Colt - Fight the Power

Mae was sprawled out on the mat after taking the spear finisher from her opponent. From the look of it, it looked like the American was done, but if one looked closely, when Mae was tackled down by her opponent, they were close to the edge of the ring, which meant that the ropes were within the American's reach.

As Layla went to cover the downed Star-Spangled Grappler, one might think that this would be the end of this match. But as the referee began counting for the pin, Mae unthinkingly moved her nearest hand to the ropes. For a while, the referee didn't see it, and she proceeded to the second count.

"TWO!"

Then, as the referee was about to bring her palm down onto the mat for the third and final count, she saw that Mae hand was on the bottom rope tightly and securely despite her still reeling from being tackled earlier. The referee quickly stopped herself and declared that the American was still in the match and the match was still ongoing.

"TH-NO! STILL SAFE!!" The referee declared, telling Layla that the match was still not over due to Mae grabbing the rope.

"Son of a..." Layla breathed, thumping the mat in frustration as Mae somehow managed to kick herself free from the pin. Cursing under her breath, she rolled away and bounced up to her feet, glaring down at the American. "You don't give up easy, I'll give you that," she muttered in annoyance, circling the woman as she tried to scheme her way into a final knockout blow.

Eventually, deciding she hadn't done enough damage to weaken Mae just yet, Layla dropped down beside the Star-Spangled grappler's head and wrapped her exquisite thighs around Mae's neck.

"If you don't want to get counted out, maybe you should tap out instead?" the raven-haired brawler suggested, clamping her thighs shut tightly around Mae's head to cut off the woman's air.

Mae was still in the match at the moment, but she wasn't safe yet as Layla went for her next move. As she struggled to recover on the mat, she could feel her opponent moving onto her and wrapping her thighs around her head, subjecting her to a headscissor. Thanks to this, the American was having problem breathing, and things might get ugly soon if she couldn't find a way to escape this hold.

"Hnghhhh... gnhhhhh..." Wincing, with one eye closed, Mae would try to pry her opponent's thighs from her neck, though all she could manage at the moment was paw at them. At the same time, she would try to roll herself over while she was still trapped in the hold, hoping to get herself onto her knees so that she could get a proper ground to attempt her escape later.

Layla tensed her whole body, squeezing Mae's head tight between her thighs as the other wrestler struggled, pawing ineffectually at the hold in her efforts to escape.

Mae did manage to roll, pushing onto her knees and pulling Layla's legs up with her. Gritting her teeth, Layla tried to move with it, bridging her back and relaxing the grip for just a second so she could reposition. She clamped her legs shut firmly again, this time with Mae's face stuffed against her nether regions!

Mae was still trapped in the hold even after she rolled herself over onto her knees. Layla then repositioned herself, and she ended up pressing her nether region against the American's face. Unable to breathe, the blonde American tried to muster her strength to get free, but she couldn't do so by using brute-force alone. She needed to use something else instead.

So, with her knees pressed against the mat, Mae would try to shift her position again,this time pushing her lower body up, making sure that she could press the flat of one of her feet against the canvas. She aimed to get a proper footing for herself so that she could pull herself out of the headscissor. She knew that she had to be fast, because the hold was draining her strength, and she still needed to breathe.

With Mae's face jammed into her crotch, Layla did her best to hold on, eager to finish off the star-spangled grappler. However, despite being in a tight spot, Mae wasn't about to give up. Bit by bit she inched herself up, getting a foot onto the mat and pulling back desperately. Layla tried to hold on, but eventually she felt her grip loosening. Her hands scrabbled on the canvas; she tried to squeeze tighter but Mae had the leverage now.

A hiss of frustration slipped from Layla's mouth as Mae finally managed to haul herself free from the Canadian's headscissor embrace, leaving Layla to thump unceremoniously to the mat on her backside. Scowling, she rolled back away from Mae and came smoothly to her feet, mind spinning as she tried to think of a way to put Mae down and out for good!

After so much struggling, eventually Mae found her way out of the hold, and she gasped out for air after she was released from Layla's headscissor. It certainly left its mark on her, but now that she was free, she would try to capitalize on this as she then looked at her opponent. Seeing that Layla had rolled away from her and returned back onto her feet, Mae would push herself back up and shake her head.

"Hah... n-now you see the power of the real American?" Mae said to her opponent as she would prepare herself to engage with her once more. She was still recovering, but now her eyes were on Layla, and she would be able to see what she would do next, and she would try to react accordingly in order to attempt fighting her back.

Layla glowered at her American opponent as Mae made her quips. Unwarranted confidence as far as Layla was concerned - so far things had been going her way. Though she needed to make sure she didn't get overconfident.

"If this is the real American, I'm not impressed," she shot back, circling her opponent and looking for an avenue of attack. Eventually she darted forward, feigning an attempted lock up but at the last moment attempting to dodge and slip around behind Mae. If she managed it, she would try to hook her arms around Mae's waist in preparation for a German suplex.

Mae huffed upon seeing Layla's skepticism. She didn't need to explain much further about the power of Americans. She then watched her opponent who seemed to be preparing herself to lock up with her, and she would also prepare herself to do the same.

But then, she realized what Layla was planning, and when her opponent suddenly slipped to her back, not locking up with her, Mae would react to this as her opponent was about to wrap her arms around her midsection from behind. Pivoting back, she would try to swing her arm, aiming to hit Layla right across her face with a forearm smash!

The move half worked. Layla dodged the initial lock up and was in the process of wrapping her arms around Mae's trim waist for the lock up, when suddenly the American's forearm crashed into her face; Mae had read the move and reacted in time!

"AIIIGH!" Layla yelped shrilly as she was sent stumbling backwards by the strike, thudding into the turnbuckle with a gasp of surprise. A surge of anger and frustration shot through her and she instantly shoved herself back towards Mae, cheeks flaming red as she hurled herself recklessly into a lock up with the Star-Spangled grappler.
