Mae Madison vs. Layla Colt - Fight the Power

For Mae, she saw nothing bad in showboating. After all, professional wrestling in a game of spectacle where the crowd played a major role in making it more fun. It turned out that Layla believed differently as she planned to counter Mae's fireman's carry by wrapping an arm around her head before twisting her body suddenly, dropping herself off of the American's shoulders, bringing herself down with her the American's head, driving it into the mat with a DDT reversal.

"AUGHH!!!"

Mae squealed out in pain as her head impacted against the canvas. She knew that there was a possibility of this happening. It's just that she wasn't careful enough that she couldn't see it coming.

Layla felt a savage sense of satisfaction as she planted Mae's head into the canvas with her surprise DDT, taking the star-spangled grappler off guard and laying her out on the canvas once more. Layla was a reserved individual, letting her high flying moves do the talking, and right now they were doing the job just fine, taking advantage of Mae's ill-advised showboating.

With the American laid out, Layla scrambled over, rolling the woman onto her front and straddling her from behind. Hooking Mae's arms over her knees, Layla then hooked her hands together under Mae's chin and pulled up.

Tensing, she heaved Mae into a painful Camel Clutch submission, hoping to wear the woman down even further before going for the kill.

It felt like everything was spinning around her after being brought down into the mat with the DDT reversal. As Mae tried to recover from this, her opponent took advantage of her current state by rolling her body over onto her front before straddling her from behind. Mae could feel her opponent's weight on her back, but she was unable to do anything due to her throbbing head, and as a result, she was unable to stop Layla from bringing her arms onto her knees.

And then, Layla went to hook her hands together under Mae's chin before subjecting her to a camel clutch. It put intense pressure around her back and neck, and with her arms being draped over her opponent's knees, it would be hard for the American to make her escape. "UWAAAH!!!" She cried out in pain from the submission hold.

She needed to find a way to escape this hold, so she would try to move her legs. Though for the time being, she would not be able to do anything to get herself out of this predicament.

Layla trapped Mae in the Camel Clutch, and felt a surge of satisfaction as her opponent wailed in pain, stuck fast in the well-executed hold. Layla stayed there for a moment, bending the woman ever further.

Wanting to do as much damage as possible in a short time, Layla shifted her grip ever so slightly, sliding her hands upwards. She kept Mae stuck in the hold, but instead of being under her chin, her hands were clamped down over the American's nose and mouth, coupling the pain of the Camel Clutch with a handsmother that would hopefully leave the woman aching and breathless by the time Layla was through with her.

She allowed herself a fleeting smile. Things were back on track.

Things were getting worse for Mae as Layla brought her hands from her chin to her nose and mouth, which made it hard for her to breathe. The American struggled to break free, but it looked like things were hard for her, so she would try to raise her lower body, getting her knee onto the mat in order, supporting the weight of her opponent on her back.

"MRPHHH!!"

With a muffled yell, she would try to jerk her body to the side, hoping to throw Layla off of her. It was also to escape from the hold, which was draining her strength with each passing second.

The hold was starting to do it's job, Layla clinging on tightly to drain Mae of her strength and her oxygen. Eventually, however, it seemed the star-spangled grappler regained enough of her senses to try and escape.

Although she tried to hold on, Layla couldn't keep her grip as the American suddenly bucked her body sideways, making her lose her purchase. With a curse of annoyance she tumbled off of Mae's back into a roll, coming to her knees and glaring back at her opponent. Mae might have escaped but hopefully she would still be a little dazed.

Layla would wait for Mae to rise and then attempt an immediate standing dropkick, hoping to send her foe right back down to the canvas!

Mae managed to escape the hold, throwing Layla off of her back, but she was still pretty dazed thanks to the hold, and she needed to recover quickly in order to fight back. Grunting, she would push herself back onto her feet, struggling under her own weight. Still, she wasn't prepared for whatever would come next because as soon as she was on her feet, her opponent went to hit her with a dropkick, which knocked her off her feet, sending her tumbling backwards into the mat.

"OUHH!!"

Mae's back hit the mat. Scrunching her brow in pain and her eyes closed tightly, she moaned in pain as she held her aching chest that was struck by Layla's dropkick. From the look of it, the star-spangled grappler was in great trouble.

The dropkick landed, and Mae went down to the mats once again. The fight was slowly leaving the Star-Spangled grappler and Layla could sense the end was near. It was time for her to put the tenacious American down for good.

She edged towards the far side of the ring, bending her knees in preparation to spring. She watched Mae intently, waiting for the right moment to strike. As Mae began to rise, Layla suddenly burst forward, racing across the ring as fast as she could.

Timing the run as Mae turned to face her, she would throw herself forward, attempting to deliver her devastating spear-tackle finisher, the Spitting Cobra!

Struck by Layla's dropkick, Mae was on the mat, groaning in pain. She needed to get back up as quickly as possible before her opponent could take advantage of her current predicament. So, she would force herself on all four before pushing herself back up, albeit slowly and almost buckling under her weight. Due to her current condition, she was unable to fully focus on her opponent, a mistake that she would pay dearly for as her opponent launched herself towards her, looking to hit her with her finisher.

Unable to react, Mae was hit by Layla's spear, which she named Spitting Cobra. The American's eyes widened as she took the tackle, and she could feel her breath being driven out of her lungs as she was brought down into the mat. "GUAGH!!!" She hit the mat, left dazed and breathless before her opponent. She felt like her strength had left her, and there was a chance that she might end up being defeated by her opponent at this rate.

Layla smashed her shoulder into Mae's stomach, wrapped her arms around the woman's waist and in a vicious, snapping motion she planted the star-spangled grappler hard into the canvas.

As soon as they hit the ground, the Canadian brawler pivoted her position, laying across the chest of her downed opponent and hooking a leg up, shooting a fiery glance at the referee.

"Count her out, ref!" she barked sharply.

"ONE!"
