Taking Flight- Zetta vs Rosie.

*It was becoming increasingly evident that Zetta was slowly, gradually regaining control over this skirmish. However, she still didn't feel as though Rosie had been fully subdued, not yet anyway. Gathering what little energy she had in her reserve, Zetta would scale the closest turnbuckle, perching herself like a stone gargoyle.*

*As the audience stared on in silence and rapture, The motionless Zetta abruptly spread her wings before taking flight, soaring through the skies while simultaneously extending her right knee to try and drill it against Rosie's mandible!*

Rosie Knuckles struggled on the mat, but her head and body seemed opposed to her being able to get up. However, if there was anything that Rosie had, it was guts. She used her willpower to bring herself back to her feet and holding her head. She took a moment to quickly whip her head around to find Zetta.

Then, she saw her opponent take off from the top rope and then wheeled herself to the side and balled up her fist purely on instinct and threw an uppercut towards the jaw of her opponent as she fell towards the ground. And immediately after throwing her punch, Rosie would collapse to the ground, having been on uneven footing to begin with.

*With her body coasting across the air like her moniker's namesake, The Phoenix Queen rapidly approached her intended target. However, seconds before she would inevitably collide with Rosie, something unexpected happened; the persistent thorn in her side had decided upon making life much more strenuous for her than ever before, slamming her veteran knuckles introducing themselves to the base of Zetta's mandible, causing her body to contort backwards from the sheer power they possessed and kiss the canvas!*

"WHAM!" *Like a shotgun blast, Zetta's diminutive frame ricocheted off the mat, sending miniature shockwaves throughout the arena. The instant she bounced against the canvas, every ounce of anguish from the forceful blow enveloped her all at once. It was as if she had been paralyzed, not just by the physically arduous match itself, but by the looming fear of potentially losing this contest to someone she personally detested. Nevertheless, she struggled to pick up the remaining pieces of herself, clasping either edge a nearby, low hanging turnbuckle to try and regain some semblance of competitiveness!*

Rosie had let the power of her fists rip with a vicious uppercut directly to Zetta's jaw, drawing a gasp from the crowd at the loud crack of her thunderous strike! And then immediately, Knuckles lost her footing and fell back into the mat. And then she scooted back and slung her arm over the middle rope on the ground, wincing slightly. And then she looked over at Zetta, trying to recover, and then let out a derisive, taunting laugh at her.

"Aww, what's the matter bird girl? I think you forgot to pick up a tooth!" exclaimed Rosie with another laugh, letting it trail off as she rubbed her forehead, trying to recover herself from the damage she had went to. She began to pull herself up with her back against the ropes.

Then, she took a deep breath, lined up Zetta, then made a sprint over to her and tried to grab her by her tights to ram her shoulder-first into the turnbuckle, trying to pile on the pain as much as she could to catch up in the match up!

*While Rosie's bravado was considered aggravating, it harbored a nugget of truth to it; she had been, for the most part, predominantly dominating Zetta for the latter half of this skirmish. However, what the petite pulverizer was unaware of was just how little energy the Phoenix Queen required to operate at peak performance; she had lingered against the suspended turnbuckle, almost as if she were perched against it like a gargoyle maintaining vigilant watch over its keep!*

"Hmm..." *With a pensive grunt, Zetta shook her head at the preposterous accusation, almost feeling obliged to respond given the circumstances. Despite her personal beliefs to give everyone she encountered the benefit of the doubt between the ropes, Zetta wasn't quite fond of the brash, insensitive Rosie whatsoever.*

*While her gaze remained unwavering as it concentrated on Rosie's sudden surge in speed, Zetta matched it herself, hopping back up to her feet while simultaneously whirling around to try and slam the base of her foot against the rambunctious woman's exposed chin!*

Rosie Knuckles had big ideas, and they mostly began with pulverizing her opponent against the ring post. However, when she went after Zetta, the girl had immediately sprung to her feet, scouting her well, and Knuckles was promptly kicked square in the jaw! Like a gunshot, Rosie immediately fell back at a rapid speed and collapsed onto the mat!

The strike had shut her big mouth as Rosie winced in pain, hand absently going to her chin. She was rattled by the kick and could barely move as her mind swarmed, completely at the mercy of her opponent.

*With her acrobatic maneuver sending Rosie collapsing to the floor, this provided Zetta with the opportunity for an impromptu somersault drop from the top turnbuckle. Weighing her options, The Phoenix Queen dashed towards a nearby corner and flipped towards her target!*

"Hmph!" *The stoic easterner kissed the sky with her entire frame before inevitably coming back down, intending to drop her diminutive body against Rosie's as an exclamation of her detestation towards her!*

The pink-haired brawler stayed on the mat, holding her jaw as she groaned in annoyance and pain. She wasn't even able to tell where Zetta was currently as she was busy trying to tell where she was now after such a vicious strike.

Rosie liked to brawl, but she was never a fan of getting her cute face battered. And before she knew it, she noticed for just the briefest of moments that Zetta was coming down off the top rope at her. And then, she felt the full weight of her Asian opponent landing on her hard! Her body reacted as she yelled out, "Fwaaaaah!" and the rest of her body jerked up from the impact before she promptly curled up and rolled into her side, holding her midsection now as she lay there, honestly not able to do much else at the moment.

*Riding this sheer stroke of luck for as long as she possibly could, Zetta was swept up in a maelstrom of endorphins when her weaponized body collided against the miniature brawlers! In the blink of an eye, the golden goddess had firmly reminded the petite pugilist that her aerial aptitude was the superior style!*

"Mmh." *Purring with a cadence that reflected a strong sense of both integrity and terror, Zetta wasted little time in asserting her dominance by scrambling across the ring and attempting to secure a pin!* "One!" *The announcer initiated the countdown, all the while the Phoenix Queen hooked her closest leg for emphasis!*

Rosie remained on her side, sucking in deep breaths as she was reeling from the impressive dive from Zetta. Her midsection ached and very briefly, Knuckles had attempted to reach the ropes that were too far away until her Eastern opponent tugged her onto her back!

The cotton candy-haired girl winced as she was then covered.

"One!"

"Two!"

Throwing what strength she had right now behind it, she picked up her shoulder defiantly and flopped over onto her side again, away from Zetta. She would then resume holding her midsection and trying to recover, letting out a low groan of pain.
