Free Wrestling Matches from the interwebs

Unread post by Vc0m »

Exactly what it says above. I've seen similar thing done, eventually dropped, and I am 100% sure we'll all get bored and prolly make this thread again in 3 years time.

This is a thread for people to link in FREE wrestling matches from Youtube and beyond. I feel like it's a good idea as it would be a good reference for those who are on LAW not particularly because they are wrestling fans (or at the very least were). Also it is a good way to mark out about wrestlers you love.

EDIT: Massive addenum, but do add in wrestling related videos as well, such as video essays, since they can be a big help.

To simplify the matters, here are the most common places you can find free matches or shows in good quality (of the top of my head anyway):

WWE: Their youtube channel very frequently posts matches from their extensive video library, usually related to current happenings on TV. For example, there's a King of the Ring and Queen of the Crown tournaments going on on the shows right now, a lot of the Free Matches are tournament matches from the company's past. They are supposed to be limited time uploads, but for the life of me, some of those are 2 years old at this point.

AEW: Unfortunately, they have not at this point hosted any of their weekly tv or PPV content on their Youtube channel besides highlights. On the flipside, they have their own separate shows on tv: AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation. Most of the time these contain short or outright squash matches, but these can be good references as well.

MLW: Haven't seen them myself, but they actually host their weekly show on Youtube. Have never seen them myself, but I felt it right to link them in, especially with them opening their women's division recently.

NJPW: Youtube again. AFAIK, they regularly host free matches + their current us show NJPW Strong.

Stardom: Joshi wrestling ahoy. Their WE ARE STARDOM weekly show contains weekly happenings of stardom, as well as cut up versions of full matches from their shows.

GATOH Move: Even without a ring, it's still wrestling. While officially considered a joshi company, a good chunk of the roster are men and compete in the company. Matches usually happen in a tiny room, rather than a ring, and are a lot more comedic in tone. Have a very regularly released show ChocoPro. Youtube channel here.

Random Joshi/Old matches: Occasionally, you can find old stuff in randomest of places. Since I usually just search for Joshi wrestling, here are a few recommendations:

Roy Lucier - search his name on youtube for a variety of wrestling shows, not just Joshi. Archives a ton of wrestling matches on his channels.

Joshi Puro Oshi - Dead channel but has a ton of good quality joshi matches

Other video recommendations:

Super Eyepatch Wolf - Honestly, his wrestling videos should be mandatory viewing for anyone on this site. Massive help in explaining wrestling down to it's very basics.

Joseph Montecillo - VERY good wrestling video essayist. His two main shows are 5 match primers, which break down 5 free wrestling matches of a particular wrestler available on youtube (so that's a good way for free wrestling) and Walking the King's Road, analysis of 90s AJPW, considered strongest period of wrestling from any company.

That's it from the top of my head, but link in both matches and shows and videos in this thread for people to see.
