Melody Serperior vs "The Miracle Girl" Mighty Yukiko
“Good Evening Lady and Gentleman! I welcome each and everyone to our rising Star tournament tonight. Thank you that you made the effort to show up. So without wasting any more time why don´t directly cut to the action and the first match.
The first match is standard match settled for one fall! Winner of this match will go on into the second Round of the rising start tournament. The loser won´t get any other chance and will be out of the tournament for good! Match A
So what are we waiting for, let the fighters come out!”
Mighty Yukiko stretched backstage, excitedly jumping in place as she heard the ring announcer welcome everyone to the first match of the first round of the Rising Star tournament! Yukiko was honored to be kicking off such an important event, she and Melody were going to set the bar for every other match to follow! The pinkette didn't know much about her opponent, but she figured that Melody was just as determined to win as she was, which would lead to a great and competitive match! Only one woman would come up on top, however, one step closer to proving themselves as the best in LAW!
Yukiko's theme began to play over the loudspeakers as the crowd began to cheer, excited for what had potential to be match of the night! Mighty Yukiko then burst onto the stage with a smile, throwing a hand up to her adoring fans! Yukiko loved hearing the fans cheer during her entrance, it gave her that much more reason to put on the best show she could! Running down the the entrance ramp, Yukiko alternated to the left and right to hi five fans on both sides, some of whom reached out to touch her blue and gold jacket. Getting to the ring, Yukiko jogged up the steel steps and stepped between the ropes, running over to a nearby corner and doing a similar pose to the one she did on the stage, causing some streamers to be thrown into the ring! The ref worked to clear the multi colored strands from the ring as Yukiko bowed in respect of the audience before heading to her corner, awaiting her opponent for this first round match up!
In the locker room, while preparing for the first round of Rising Start tournament, Melody was nervous as hell before her match. In fact, from what she remembered, she wasn't as worried about her LAW debut...hell, any of her debuts in the other promotions, as she was about this match. She tried to take a few deep breaths to calm down, and would think why she was worried about this match.
She remembered that her last tourney ended in disaster, but she came to terms about what happened there, and tried to forget about it for her match. Then she slowly started to realize what it was, her opponent for the match.
Mighty Yukiko had a long storied wrestling history in Wrestle Angels, to the point where one of her nicknames was "The Ace of Wrestle Angels". THe green-ette watched old Wrestle Angels matches closely when she got into wrestling, and a lot of her matches were definitely a thing of beauty. Why would they pit a wrestler with such a storied career like Yukiko against fairly rookie wrestler in comparison like Melody?
"Still...", Melody thought to herself, as she put on her jacket and sleeves for her entrance attire: "What if I can do this? She is a wrestler just like I am, not a god. Might I actually beat her?
Suddenly, there was a knock on Melody's door: "Two minutes to your entrance, Ms. Serperior"
With the thought of possibly beating the Mighty Legend in the ring, and with early attempts to still her nerves, Melody managed to calm down a bit, even though she was still worried.
However, she remembered the words of Nata Mio, the woman in charge of the tournament, that she expected nothing less of a masterpiece from the 2 in the match. And despite her win-loss record, Melody wasn't the one to dissapoint anyone with her in-ring performance. Remembering the promo hyping up her match filled Melody with determination, enough for her to stop worrying completely, as she exit the locker room, and stepped towards the gorilla position.
Within a few short seconds, her theme would sound throughout the arena as she stepped onto the entrance ramp. As she saw the size of the crowd, for just a second, a passing thought went through her head:
"I am going to win this whole thing"
She would slowly make her way through the entrance ramp, highfiving the fans as she went, even posing for a selfie with one, before finally making her way into the ring, and doing one last bow to the crowd, as her music slowly faded.
She would quickly take off her jacket and sleeves, as well as her shirt, remaining in a green sports bra, racer pants, and her usual shoes, before stepping towards the middle of the ring, her hand outstreched for a handshake with The Ace of Wrestle Angels.
"It is an honour to fight you here today. Whatever happens, this will still be the biggest match of my career", she would say to Yukiko.
Yukiko looked at the enterance ramp with anticipation as Melody Serperior made her appearance. The young British girl was dressed in all green and carried herself with the same happy-go-lucky spirit as Yukiko; in fact, she reminded Yukiko of her younger self! A respectful smile came on the face of Yukiko as she took the outstretched hand of Melody, giving it a firm shake.
"You'll have plenty of big matches to come in your career, I can feel it," Yukiko said with utmost sincerity, "Let's kick off this tournament with a bang!"
Releasing the hand of Melody, Yukiko backed up into her corner, waiting for the bell to ring. After it chimed three times, Yukiko raised her arms and began to circle her opponent, signaling for a lock up to start off the match.
Although at first afraid of veteran's reaction to her handshake, Yukiko proved to be just as friendly as she expected her to be earlier. The comment about her having bigger matches in the future even made her feel very warm inside with positive, nodding in agreement with Yukiko.
As the two released the handshake, they separated, and went to their corners. The 2 wresters wouldn't have to wait long, as the bell would ring, with Melody and Yukiko immidiately leaving their respective corners for the start of the match.
After the two circled each other once, Melody would slowly approach Yukiko to engage the veteran in a Collar-and-Elbow tie up. Although one might've assumed Melody was making a dumb mistake, considering her mediocre chain wrestling skills were being pitted against a veteran, Melody had a plan in mind to get an upper hand in the match.
She first wanted to get a feel of Yukiko's skills for herself. And, once she felt Yukiko was trying to get her into a hold, the green-ette would immidiately drop on her back, still holding Yukiko, and try to pull the woman down with her, before using her knees to toss the veteran across the ring with a Monkey Flip!
The hands of Mighty Yukiko met the shoulders of Melody and vice versa as they locked up in a collar and elbow tie up. It indeed seemed like a bit of a risk on Melody's part, as Yukiko's chain wrestling skills were near unmatched, but as Yukiko was ready to begin wearing down the young rookie the brit dropped on her back, placing her legs on the miracle girl's sternum! "W-woah!" Yukiko cried out as she was then flipped over the head of Melody, sailing in the air before hitting the mat back first! Yukiko quickly tried to roll back onto her feet, groaning and clutching her back from the impact.
"YES!", Melody shouted in excitement, already managing to down the Miracle Girl with her Monkey Flip! And she would not let her taking the initiative go to waste.
Looking to retain her advantage quickly, Melody would rush towards the ropes for a rebound, before jumping, and aiming her elbow for Yukiko's stomach to hit the Ace or Wrestle Angels with a Jumping Elbow Drop!
Yukiko was still on her back from the monkey flip, a bit dazed and surprised from the sudden burst of agility from Melody! However, as Yukiko heard her opponent bounce against the ropes, the veteran decided to show off some agility of her own, attempting to roll out of the way just as Melody jumped for the elbow drop!
Despite how quickly Melody moved to try and land her elbow drop, Yukiko proved to be just as fast, if not faster than the green-ette, swiftly moving out of the way while Melody's elbow painful hit the canvas!
Rubbing her sore elbow, Melody tried to get back to her before the veteran would seize the initiative!
Yukiko sprung up to her feet, knowing that she had to maintain control against this unpredictable young woman! Lunging forward, Yukiko attempted to put Melody into a grinding headlock, pressing Melody's head into the side of her breast as she tried to wear down the high flyer.
