I Know What You Did Last Spring

Unread post by BlackAkuma »

Match Type: Hardcore Haunted House
Victory Conditions: Once the two combatants enter the haunted house, the doors close and lock them inside. To win, a wrestler must make her opponent scream in submission. Only then will the doors open and allow her to leave.

***

It was a dark and stormy night.

On the outskirts of Tokyo, nestled in the forest of Japan, a house stood among the trees and overgrowth, cast in shadows even during the brightest of days. A large, decrepit home, it had been there as long as most could remember, though few could say who owned it or what had become of them. Its walls were a ramshackle, covered in peeling paint and decaying bricks, ensnared by encroaching vines. Windows, long since broken and boarded up, gave only the barest glimpses of what was inside, and those who dared to peek would find little better within.

The floors were threadbare, filled with rusted nails and rotting wood. A couch, so faded that it was impossible to tell what color it had originally been. A television, large and unwieldy, an antique from a bygone era, perhaps even before colors could grace its screen. The ceiling creaked and groaned with every stray wind, and it looked like the entire place was one good storm away from total collapse.

And yet, there was a stillness to it. A calm serenity, not found in any other place of the forest. It was a house frozen in time, deathly, as if waiting for someone-or something-to awaken it once more.

In other words, it was the perfect place for a Halloween-themed wrestling match.

The instructions Mama Bear was given for this mystery match would lead her hear, with her arriving at midnight. No sign of the referee, nor her opponent, would be seen as she came up the graveled driveway, but the door was wide open and dim lights could be seen from inside. Whoever she was set to face, they were already inside…

"This place is disgusting." It was safe to say that Mama Bear wasn't a fan of the location she had been called to. Standing outside the decrepit house, stuck out here in the midst of one of Japan's serene and beautiful forests, the general aura that the building gave off was akin to something one might see in The Grudge, or The Ring, or one of the several other movies involving some nasty ghost. And yet, Mama Bear was far less concerned about the possibility of hauntings than she was the fact that the house itself was in quite a dismal state, broken windows and decaying wood and several other notable issues, all of them amounting to a place she didn't wish to spend even one minute in.

And yet, somehow, the prospect of turning around and heading out back the way that she came was even less appealing, as trudging through the dark and damp forest, currently in the midst of quite the nasty storm, was enough to deter her. Not to mention that she'd likely receive either a loss on her record, or some sort of other penalty for refusing to take part, so with all considered, there was only one way forwards. And as she walked up to the entrance and passed through the opening, frustration would see her turn to the front door gave it a solid kick, nearly splintering it in the process as she knocked it off it's hinges, before the masked woman would step inside, looking around the run-down building.

"Alright, who the fuck is the reason I just had to trudge all the way out here?! Come on out, we can make this nice and quick, and then I'll just stuff you in some dusty ass corner of this dump and wait out the storm!" Mama Bear's voice rang out clear as day in the creaky house, only the groans of protests from the foundation answering her as she looked around, waiting for something to happen, but having nothing answer her in return. So she began to slowly wander, stepping towards the nearest open door that she could see, eyes scanning for any sign of a hostile wrestler waiting for her as she began to hunt the house for whoever was supposed to be waiting for her!

The storm outside seemed to grow stormier with each passing second - what had started as a drizzle was becoming a downpour, and every single raindrop seemed to echo through the house, creating a clattering cacophony. It wasn’t limited to the outside, either, as the porous ceiling did little to keep the weather out. The water worked its way through every hole, until they made their way into the house itself - with the occasional drop falling on Mama Bear’s head.

But aside from that, the house was still deathly quiet. Mama Bear’s boisterous words seemed to echo through the halls, bouncing all about, but no reply came. Only the silence. Only the stillness.

That would change in a moment, however, as the television - the unplugged television - spurred to life with a grainy fizzle. The static lingered for a moment before the dial began to turn on its own accord, flipping from one channel to the next. Old shows, black and white, from decades long past, until…

They came to a stop when they reached an image of a chair, sitting alone in a darkened room. Footsteps were heard off-screen, and their owner was seen a moment later, as a short, hooded figure came into view, clad in a billowing black robe, their face totally obscured. They sat down, crossed their legs, and pulled the hood back to reveal…

Image
” Halloween Sonohara pulled a large butcher’s knife from her robe and idly slid her index finger along the tip as she spoke. She pushed the edge, just enough to draw a single drop of blood, before she finally looked towards Mama Bear. ”Glad you could make it. You like the place? Homey, right?”

The door slammed behind Mama Bear - yes, the same don she had kicked open a moment ago. Despite the damage, it was sealed tight, as if held in place by some inexorable, invisible force.

Mama Bear was in the midst of trying to figure out how best to dismantle the house she stood within while leaving some manner of protection for herself against the rain when the television nearby suddenly crackled to life, grainy static appearing on it's screen. Mama Bear twisted towards the sound, a vexed look on her face, as it began to slowly cycle through the channels, with nobody at all controlling it. It was an eerie sight, however, the masked woman stood her ground, looking more annoyed than creeped out, before it would finally switch to a channel with only a chair sitting in an empty room, staying there for a moment as it became clear that this was the channel she was meant to be viewing, footsteps coming from off the frame. But soon enough, a figure would enter and move to the chair, pulling the hood back to reveal... oh no.

"You! You little pissant!" Mama Bear flew towards the television like it actually would allow her to snatch Halloween through it, hefting it up and holding it in her hands, staring into it with wide eyes as Halloween showed off the knife she had brought with her! A surge of rage pushed through the masked woman's body as she realized who it was that was toying with her like this, and as Halloween continued to speak, the heavyweight would turn and throw the television, sending it clattering across the floorboards... yet the picture remained constant, the television unbroken.

Mama Bear was preparing to run over to the tv and take another shot at destroying it when the door, the same door she had just blasted with a kick, suddenly swung shut behind her. The noise was something akin to a gunshot, and in spite of herself, Mama Bear jumped as she swung around, mostly from the volume, but when she found the shut door, she rushed over and yanked at it, attempting to find who had swung it shut, convinced someone was on the other side! She would pull to no avail, and out of frustration, blast the door with another kick, but this one wouldn't budge it at all, seemingly leaving her trapped as her method of exit was blocked with a newfound strength!

"Where are you, you little bitch? Open this door now! I'm not about to deal with this bullshit!" Called the heavyweight, spinning to address the television as if it could hear her, hoping that the woman on it could. It seemed that she was in Halloween's house now, and the smaller woman, most certainly looking for revenge, was making sure to make a show of just how out of her depth Mama Bear had let herself end up!

”I wouldn’t throw the television if I were you.”

Halloween’s warning came out a little too late, as the television was sent flung across the ring, hurled by an incensed Mama Bear. It hit the floor with a loud crash and came to a rest on its side. Its glass cracked and the picture fizzled, but Halloween’s smile could still be seen, gleaming at her opponent as she wrecked and raged.

”Geez, destroy the TV like I’m inside the damned thing. Pred. Dict. Able.” Halloween chuckled and sat back in her chair, calm and collected wherever she was, safely out of her foe’s reach. ”Of course, that’s your way isn’t it? Smash first, ask questions…never? Really leaning into the whole wild animal act, huh?”

Halloween stepped forward and neared the screen, beaming, as the storm began to pick up outside. ”You want me, Pooh Bear? Don’t worry, I’m close. But you gotta play the game - my game - first. Find me, beat me, make me scream. Not a problem for a big, strong girl like you, right?”

She tapped the screen and pulled the hood over her head as she stepped away, melting into the darkness once again, with her Cheshire smile still clear in the shadows. ”Opening credits done. Heroine’s in place. Show’s about to start. One little question to kick things off with: What’s your favorite scary movie?”

Movement, coming from Mama Bear’s side. The pittar patter of tiny feet echoed through the room as a darkened figure darted across the room, dashing into the kitchen, daring Mama Bear to follow.

Incensed by the mere idea that she was being mocked, there were no amount of words that could have saved the television from Mama Bear's wrath, and soon the piece of technology was thrown across the room, landing with a crash, but remaining on all the same. On it, Halloween would mock Mama Bear's attempts to break the television, and unable to get it to be silent, Mama Bear would have to turn her attention elsewhere, either to finding the woman responsible or to getting the door open. And given the way that it had shut on its own and refused to budge when struck again, it seemed like her options had been narrowed down for her. Especially when the storm seemed to increase in intensity as if at Halloween's command, leaving Mama Bear stuck inside, turning back to the TV with an icy glare.

"You mean like the last time I beat you? I believe I left your pitiful ass buried underneath a stack of papers, right? Oh no wait, that was before I pulled you out and crushed your little head. You really want to go for round two?" Mama Bear taunted, a smug tone to her voice, but it was clear that she was attempting to mask how annoyed she was, not doing a very good job of it.

But when she suddenly heard the noise from a nearby door, along with a sudden blur of motion, her scowl would take back over as she whirled around to catch the tail end of whatever that movement was, sending her rushing towards the door!

"Come out you little bitch!" Mama Bear roared with anger that had nowhere to be directed, and she would dash through the opening, stepping into the kitchen before stopping, balling her fists but remaining as composed as she could. The kitchen seemed to be empty, with no discernable figure to chase down, and so Mama Bear would slowly step further into the room, eyes scanning left and right as she moved through the scenery!

Mama Bear would come bursting into the kitchen and find the room is disrepair and degradation, looking as if whoever had occupied the place had left in the middle of a meal. Dishes were stacked up in the sink ,piling high, half-submerged in fetid water. Pots and pans sat upon an old iron stove, filled with grime and dirt and soot. The refrigerator was a rusted husk, and the kitchen table was a mess, the horrid centerpiece of the whole affair. Plates filled with half-eaten food, so rotted and decayed that it was impossible even to guess what it had once been. The roaches had long since had their way with it, and the shells of insects were dotted about the feast, as if they were some sort of grotesque feast.

A stomach-churning sight, no doubt. But where was Halloween?

Not left. Not right. She had seemingly vanished, and there weren’t any real places in the kitchen for her to have hidden so quick, even for a tiny woman like her…

Mama Bear would get her answer quick as Halloween descend from above and behind her, dropping down off the frame of the door she had just passed through, her dark robe billowing as she fell. She landed on the woman’s broad shoulders, looped a noose around the bruiser’s neck, and pulled hard on the ropes to choke her, letting the harsh material bite deep into her skin.

Rushing into the kitchen in an attempt to follow the figure that she had caught only a glimpse of, Mama Bear would enter into a seemingly abandoned room, a kitchen with all the furnishings that made it look straight out of a Resident Evil game. The sink was filled with grimy pots and filthy pans, scattered about in a messy fashion, and the table was full of disgusting rotted food and bugs who had came and had their fill, never leaving the table as they ended up being part of the macabre scene. This made it official. Whenever Mama Bear was out of here, she was definitely lodging a formal complaint against whatever moron had approved this match and her participation in it.

Thoughts of griping to management would have to wait however, as all of the sudden, Halloween's presence would finally be revealed, in the form of the smaller woman suddenly landing atop Mama Bear's shoulders! The sudden presence of her opponent on top of her caused her to stagger violently to the side, catching herself before she went down, but that was only the start. Mama Bear had only just righted herself when a rope was placed around her neck and pulled taught, suddenly choking the masked wrestler as the woman atop her fastened a noose around her neck!

"Gghck!" A choked gasp was all that the heavyweight could get out, hands grasping the rope that Halloween was currently using to strangle her, as she twisted this way and that!

"Gghghck! You...!" Mama Bear wheezed as the rope was pulled tighter, and her body shook this way and that, thrashing as she fought to try and move the offending object away from her neck, in spite of Halloween's firm tugging on it! The heavyweight couldn't get Halloween off that way however, so after a moment of strained struggling, she would give one massive lurch forwards, swinging her upper body down and trying to flip Halloween off of her, looking to send her crashing to the floor!

”Gotcha.”

Halloween wrapped her legs tight around the bigger woman and squeezed tight, intent of choking the lift out as she pulled back hard on the rope. It wasn’t an easy rodeo for the smaller woman, but determination was on her side, keeping her seat on the big woman’s brawny shoulders as she thrashed about the room. Halloween’s haunting giggles echoed through the room as she fought, taunting her from every angle.

”Yeah, that’s right!” She squealed with glee and pulled the rope back even hard, using Mama Bear’s thrashing to make it even worse. ”Nothing to say? Come on, spit it out!”

Halloween held on for as long as she could, but in the end, there was only going to be so long that would work out for her, and she was flung over the big woman’s shoulders, sent tumbling to the floor. She threw her legs up as she fell and landed on her feet, agile as a cat.

Instead of going back on the attack, Halloween scrambled forward, sliding under the kitchen table and coming out on the other side. She popped up, grabbed one of the fetid dishes, and launched it at Mama Bear’s face, hurling it like some grotesque discus.

The longer that Halloween evaded detection, the angrier that Mama Bear got, but to say that she was happy when finally discovering where Halloween was didn't fit either, as she became aware of that when the woman descended onto her shoulders! In an instant, she would find herself with a rope wrapped around her neck, Halloween wrenching back on it as she began to choke the masked wrestler, Mama Bear pitching backwards and stumbling to the side as she suddenly found herself being ridden like a bull, thrashing about while Halloween kept the noose held tight! The words from the smaller wrestler most certainly enraged the heavyweight, but she was unable to respond while still being choked mercilessly, only able to get some form of reprieve when she pitched forwards, tossing the offending wrestler off of her back!

Halloween seemed more prepared than Mama Bear would have given her credit for, however, as her landing on the floor would see her come down on her feet, managing to turn in the air to right herself, not the crash the heavyweight had hoped to give her. Mama Bear quickly ripped the rope off of her head, throwing it across the room before her eyes snapped to where Halloween was, just in time to see a plate of disgusting trash launched her way!

"AGH!" Mama Bear raised an arm in time to block the majority of it, but with discarded scraps flying this way and that, the heavyweight wouldn't escape from getting plenty of the nasty waste on her. The result of which was only more anger, if that were even possible.

"You little BITCH!" The brunette let loose a ear-splitting shriek as she launched herself towards Halloween, who had put the table between them, but that wouldn't matter to Mama Bear. Her foe wanted to throw food? Then she'd throw the entire table! Mama Bear would look to grasp the edge of the decrepit furniture, launching it up and over towards Halloween, in a show of monstrous strength!
