Re: The Roche Limit

Bast had suspected there was more to Bast than met the eye when they first met, and she was glad that her suspicions were holding true. As a fellow imposing woman, she was more than aware of how size could put off those around you, especially when you were an unusually big woman. People just assumed that you were out to wreck them and tended to give you the widest berth. Back home, that was a benefit, allowing her to avoid confrontation and saving her from fights that she might have won, but not without taking more damage than she had to along the way. She couldn't help but wonder if it was a similar circumstance for Stone, wherever she was from.

It was a question that would have to wait for a while, she supposed, as Stone still seemed to be holding back. Maybe she was just so used to Stick speaking on her behalf that she preferred not to do it herself? It was something she could definitely understand. Cersei liked to do all the talking, and sometimes - well, most times it was just better to let her do her thing and handle the violence on her end. Though, she didn’t always approve of what came out of her sister’s mouth…

Needless to say, she could relate to having an overly enthusiastic mouthpiece. Which made her wonder, actually, about the whereabouts of Stone’s.

If Stick were around, she wagered the woman would’ve made herself known by no, but no, she didn’t see the blazing redhead anywhere. Stone seemed to have the same question for her, too, and Bast’s answer would be just as hollow. ”She just stepped away for a moment - but you don’t have anything to worry about. If she comes back, I’ll make sure she stays in line, I promise.”

Though, gods, she hoped it didn’t come to that.

”What about your friend…’Stick’?” She did her best to keep a straight face as the word came out, though it wasn’t easy. Was that really her name? ”Is she close by? I was under the impression that the two of you were quite close.” She leaned in a little closer and spoke low, as if she were about to dig into forbidden lore. ”Are you two a, you know…couple?”

______________________________________________

Cold, cold, cold, cold, god, Cersei hated being cold!

And wet!

And exerting herself!

It was a combination of all the worst things as she trudged through the water, trying to make space between her and the squawking imp behind her. She wasn’t a fighter on her best days, that was painfully obvious, and even more true when she soaking more than a dish rag. As much as she hated this woman, she hated being in this stupid fountain even more, and she wasn’t too keen on the crowd they were attracting, either.

Stick, it seemed, had other ideas, ideas that involved grabbing her by the hair before she could make proper distance, spinning her about, and waylaying her with a fierce slap to the face. Cersei shrieked at the indignity of it all, as she went staggering back with arms flailing, nearly slipping and falling in the process. She might have keeled over altogether if her legs hadn't bumped into the side of the pool, giving her some solid footing at the right time.

As much as she hated being in this place, having her hair yanked went a long ways to reigniting her fire, and she used that fuel to jolt forward, dip down, and throw her full body into Stick with the best tackle she could muster.

Which wasn’t saying much, really.

The scrap that occurred in the fountain at the wrestling con was certainly not going to win any awards for the best match of the year, but none the less it was beginning to build a bit of a crowd as attendees began to congregate around the commotion. Though both ladies were eager to tear each other apart, it was clear there was a distinct lack of both skill and experience at play. Cersei's attempt at a takedown looked laughable at best, had she have been up against even a jobber, they would have been able to stand tall and take it. As it was however, Cersei was up against Stick, and she was not exactly a fighter type despite how good of a figure she possessed. As such, she knew not how to defend even against a lackluster spear that Cersei was able to conjure.

The result was both women collapsing back into the ice cold waters, as Stick let out a brief shriek of alarm before she went under the water. Her body was just getting over that ice chill and now her form was subjected to it once again, making Stick stiffen up instantly before she would scramble up to her feet. Now soaked right through, she found even she was losing footing and stumbling, near crashing down again. Fuelled with rage, Stick's eyes would darken, seeing Cersei surface in unison with her, before she would scream out, and look to take her down in revenge! If Cersei's attempt at a tackle had been bad, Stick made her look like a world beater with her own attempt. She stumbled and fell, her hands reaching and grasping at Cersei's outfit in desperation in an attempt to bring her down back into the waters with her!

----------------------------------------------

Stone nodded in an enthusiastic manner when Bast began to ask about her and Stick. When questioning about the two of them being close, she hesitated not even for a split second with her gesturing answer. The moment the line of questioning moved to if the two of them were a couple, Stone would briefly pause before shaking her head gently, a bit of an awkward expression upon her features. Stone certainly possessed love for Stick, but it was more of a family bond, treating Stick as if she of her own blood, like a big sister... one that was significantly smaller then her and often needed pulling out of trouble she caused herself. The two of them had been together since school, with Stone once being the victim of bullying by Stick and her old posse. It was strange how things would turn out... Bast was not far wrong that the two were for the most part inseparable. That said, they were not always together all the time, even Stone sometimes needed a break from Stick... and she imagined likewise, but it was never for all that long.

Stone realised all at once that Bast was correct, considering she had just popped out to stretch her legs, the smaller woman had certainly been missing for some time. She normally informed Stone if she was going to be a while and often planned around it so that Stone did not get lost of confused. Frowning, Stone stood up, looking over the crowds to see if there was any sign of her. Given how unnaturally and glaringly red her hair was, it was easy to spot her. A slight look of concern would befall her features as she turned to Bast, beginning to make a few gestures.

A heavy shrug would suggest she knew not where Stick was, before Stone would gently point towards herself and then Bast, making a gesture to see if Bast would help her look for Stick.

Back home, a fight like this would’ve ended in brutal fashion, no matter who started. Police were scarce in the neighborhood that she and Bast grew up in, and they would often show up late to the incident they were called to, if they ever showed up at all. It was lawless, for all intents and purposes, and the situation that created was an obvious one: You didn’t start anything that you couldn't finish.

Lucky for both of them, Japan was, to say the least, better when it came to that sort of thing, and security officials had already been called and were nearing the scene of the incident. They’d be there in less than a minute. Only a few seconds.

But a few seconds could feel like a long, long time. Especially in a fight.

Cersei came to grips with that reality as she made her way back up, only to have Stick slam into her and bring her back down into the water with a large splash. The skinny redhead was on top of her pressing her down, and all she could do was squirm and wriggle under the woman’s weight.

Which wasn’t much, Stick couldn't have been more than 100 pounds, even soaking wet, but that was still a good deal more than Cersei was equipped to deal with.

Bast hoped she wasn’t prying too much with her questions. It was always hard to tell what was crossing the line these days - after all, people in LAW weren’t exactly secretive about their relationships, showing the kind of openness that she couldn't have dreamed of before she came over. The sexual aspects of wrestling were still a mystery to her, and she was content to let them stay that way. Cersei had thrown out the idea of her trying some hentai wrestling on the sly, to see if she had a taste for it, but that was one subject where she’d put her foot down. Hard.

It all seemed okay, though - if Stone was offended or embarrassed, she didn’t show it. She did seem to not know where Stick was, though, which made Bast worry for similar reasons, since Cersei had been gone for no short amount of time, either. ”Sure, sure.” She stood up, dusted off her lap, and placed a ‘Be Right Back’ sign on her booth. ”I’ll help you find her, then we can-”

Bast had just begun to make her way around the table when she was nearly run over by a pair of security guards dashing past her, running at full tilt down the aisle. Her Japanese wasn’t good enough to fully make out what they were saying, but she managed to hear something about a ‘fight’ and ‘assistance needed’. Not good signs.

She looked off towards the direction they were heading, then back Stone, with a resigned, aggravated grimace etched into her face.

”Come on.” She made her way down the aisle with a hurried walk. ”I think I know where they are.”

Stick and Cersei went down unceremoniously, the cold water dousing both of their forms, forcing their clothing to cling to their bodies as the two continued their epic struggle of sorts. Between the two, it was clear that Stick possessed a more athletic build. Having trained and looked after her body, she could easily of become a model if she so desired, she certainly had the beauty for it, and it would convert well to the page or the screen since one did not have to listen to her yell or screech... that figure alarmingly did not translate to her being a fighter however, as her blows against Cersei were largely wasted, hitting water or parts of Cersei's own form to little consequence.

With her being currently on top though, it at least looked like she was winning. Though naturally, most of the damage was probably just coming from the chill of the fountain water right now than anything actually physical. Stick did have a handful of hair, ragging Cersei out of the water before slamming her down again. It was probably of more discomfort however then pain as the water was not the most vicious of surfaces to be slammed against.
"This is what you get you bitch!" Stick would scream out, unaware of the crowd that had gathered around the unique fighting arena that had been fashioned out of the fountain.

By now however, reinforcements had arrived in the form of the Con security. They were not exactly big men or women, but they did not have to be to separate Stick and Cersei from each other. They reached in to grasp the two and pull them out of the fountain and the cold water. The cry of rage from Stick made it sound like someone was being murdered somewhere, as she got a few pathetic kicks off towards Cersei, barely connecting and no doubt doing nothing. She was drenched head to toe, the red haired beauty shivering the moment she was pulled from the cold as security began to escort her away from her current nemesis.
"Hey... hey?! Where are you taking me?! I got photo-shoots to do at 3o'clock goddamn it!" Stick complained, trying to break free as personal had one shoulder each.

It was then she paused, looking to see Stone and Bast standing side by side. The look upon Stone was one of bewilderment, as Stick's face began to sour, seeing the presence of equally imposing Bast at her side.
"You!... That will teach you and your damn little sh*t of a manager not to mess with me and Stone! Next time I see Cersei... I'll drown her!" Stick mentioned with venom, adrenaline still surging through her system.
"Wait... why are you standing with her? Get away from Bast right now... she is the enemy!" Stick then barked out, seeing that Stone was standing unusually close to the former opponant. Stone looked confused, unsure what to do...

As she and Stone neared the commotion, Bast prayed to whatever gods that would listen, hoping against hope that all the noise had nothing to do with her sister and Stick. It was a convention, after all, and while this was her first - and hopefully not last - one, she knew enough about them. They could get a little crazy at times. Wrestling fans were a passionate bunch, prone to losing their minds a bit. It could’ve just been a random breakout fight, nothing that had anything to do with her.

Reality could be so disappointing.

Sure enough, she came upon the scene to find Cersei and Stick going at each other like wet cats. Her first instinct was to rush in, fearing that her sister might be hurt, but a quick look told her that every was okay…okayish. Security seemed to have things in hand, and she didn’t want to make it worse by throwing herself into the mix.

”You…you got lucky, you little redheaded stepchild!” Cersei managed to get out a few quick, sputtered words as security hauled her away, only noticing Bast at the last moment. ”Samira, what are you doing? Where were you, what’s going on? Get away from that monster!”

Bast groaned at the name-calling, but the underlying point was clear. Whatever needed to be mended here, it wouldn’t happen today. ”It was nice speaking with you, Stone. If a little one-sided.” She gave her friend a little pat on the shoulder. ”Go over to your manager. We’ll meet again, I promise.”

With that, she gave the titan a nod and made her way over to her sister, now harboring the hope that they could get this all straightened out without jail time…
