Bringing Down The Star (For Winner3)

Unread post by Bare »

Many in the LAW Audience were confused right now. Supposedly there was a huge mystery announcement by a wrestler supposed to be made tonight, but with the matches and segment had run there were only rough forty minutes left in the show. Something like this normally would happen much earlier and only take a few minutes, so could the lateness of this be a sign of something major? Surely it couldn't be the main event? From the fans in the arena, to those watching at home, and even the dirt sheet reporters who had been invited to the event and circulating the news of the show, many were wondernig... Just who would step out from the curtain?
Spoiler
So when the entrance music of one Piper Sherwood sounded off through the arena many in attendance began booing. Largely for the general dislike the blonde had attained in her time at LAW thanks to her heelish actions and deeper and deeper dives into sinister machinations, but also for the feelings of disappointment many felt thinking something on the level of Apex would be announced.

But as Piper strutted down the ring, clad in a all new, nearly all black outfit, brandishing a nasty looking thin black baseball in one hand, and a folder with some papers in it in the other while the ensemble was completed with a black leather jacket over everything. Looking around and smirking at the boos Piper would only smile wider in smug satisfaction before she even said a word.

Eventually though she would hop onto the apron and enter the ring, standing in the center before dropping the bat, and from her jacket produced a microphone before holding it to her lips. "Alright someone important is out here so now so why don't you all quiet down?" Piper asked rhetorically only to be met with a wave of boos to which Piper smirked and waved her fingers, accepting the boos wholeheartedly as she turned a slow circle. "Done? Good." Piper said, not giving the fans another opportunity to start up before speaking again.

"Now... thanks to my good friend and mentor, the legendary empress herself Ayane Yamamoto, I secured myself some time tonight to get something off my chest, something that been building up for awhile." Piper explained, sure to get over her mentor before continuing while the crowd murmured in confusion. "Namely about Apex, and who I wanna face, and when." She explained, this getting the crowd to hush up as this actually did turn out to possibly be something big, but the question was... why did Piper make such a show of this?

Seeing that she caught attention with that Piper would snicker a bit as she waved the folder in her hand a bit, now making everyone realize that they were in fact, likely a contract for Apex. "Hehe and here you all were booing. But yes I am here to challenge someone to Apex, someone who I have been dying to put in her place since we last met, who is so high and mighty that she feels I'm not worthy of a match, let alone one for the biggest title this company has to offer!" Piper said, getting more worked up towards the end, the fans getting riled up as well as quite a few began to put the pieces together of who Piper was talking about.. many wondering if said person would show up.

Piper though, Piper would take the second to breathe... Before smirking again. "Between you all and me though? I think this bitch is just scared. Scared of how close I came to beating and humiliating her in our first match, that she doesn't want to risk facing me again. Especially after being trained by one of the best this business has ever seen." Piper said, once again hyping her mentor while also putting down her target... A target she was done pussy footing around with talking about.

"Aurora Estrella... get your fat ass out here now and if you have even a shred of real pride, prove it by signing this contract for an Apex Match against me!" Piper declared before looking towards the entrance ramp, the crowd going crazy.... or rather about too before Piper held the mic back to her lips again. "Or are you just a scaredy cat?" Piper added for extra measure, making the crowd go wild in anticipation as they waited to see if Aurora would even show up for what Piper was asking for!

Aurora had heard the murmurs and the gossip. The rumor mill was a funny thing in the world of wrestling. Much of the time it wasn't worth paying much mind, especially at LAW. Aurora certainly didn't pay them much heed. As Piper made her entrance, The Galaxy Cat could be found backstage near catering indulging in one of her pastimes: tea. The idea of there being some mystery announcement or ambiguous turn of events saw her watch the show on the monitors near the catering hall. Aurora stood in her gear, to-go cup in hand. She took sips of her jasmine tea while looking up at the monitor as other wrestlers and staff passed by or sat around waiting to see what all the buzz was about. Feelings of anticipation and expectation could be felt all over the arena. All eyes focused on the entrance ramp. And when Piper's music hit, Aurora raised an eyebrow disapprovingly. She silently took sips of her tea intermittently as Sherwood made her way to the ring, seemingly with an agenda in mind.

Aurora had been keeping her distance from Piper, just as she said she would at the end of their last match. The Galaxy Cat narrowly emerged from that bout with a victory. She had no intention of meeting Sherwood again. Not out of fear of losing or fearfulness of Piper, but because of the woman that Piper was becoming. It was undeniable that The Brawling Bunny had worked up a sadistic mean streak. Today's Piper Sherwood was a far cry away from the Piper that fans and wrestlers had met during the lightweight's debut. None could deny that the girl was talented, but these days, there was so much more to her. Piper carried herself with an air of confidence that bordered on arrogance. She had taken to brutally domming the women that she met in the ring. She had begun carrying that bat with her, keeping it at the ready with nothing but bad intentions in mind. She kept company with the likes of established underhanded women in the business, ladies like Ayane Yamamoto. Piper had undergone a transformation. And in Aurora's mind, the trigger for all this was their one match together. Regardless of whatever the outcome would be for a rematch, Estrella feared that wrestling Piper again would give the girl the opportunity to cement herself as the most memorable, domineering, dirty heel wrestlers in the company. It seemed that was every bit what Sherwood was aspiring to be. And if avoiding that reality meant never wrestling Piper again, the tag team champion would gladly abstain.

As Aurora continued watching all this in the back, it became clear to her that Piper was committed to her downward spiral toward villainy. But if nothing else, as much as Aurora disapproved, she couldn't deny that this change instilled within Piper a strong sense of confidence and assertiveness. Piper had the crowd in the palm of her hand, a feat of charisma that was surprisingly rare at LAW. She got them to quiet down so that she could comment on LAW Apex. The conniving blonde waved the folder in her hands that she brought with her, flaunting it like it was a carrot on a stick that she was using to lead everyone by the nose. But that mischievous demeanor soon became a spirited one! Piper became impassioned as she played all this up to finally get at her true goal! Over and over again, she referenced Estrella, hinting at the fact that she had been chomping as t the bit to get her hands on the little luchadora again!

Aurora didn't want want to believe it. For a time, she turned Piper out. It was a relaxing evening. She had just finished doing some practice drills with her tag partners. She choose to stay behind when Kat and Tracy took off. None of them were scheduled for the remainder of the night and the three of them had already wrapped up and said their goodbyes to some of the staff and coaches before heading out. It was sheer happenstance that Aurora had stayed behind to enjoy some tea before leaving. And it was sheer disbelief that caused Estrella not to process the bulk of Piper's words. It wasn't until Piper called her out by name that it all hit her like a ton of bricks! Aurora happened to take a big sip the moment that Piper called her out to the ring, and at that exact moment...

"PPPFFFFFFFT!" Estrella did a spit-take! She coughed a bit before she managed to return her attention back to the screen.

"Now, of all times...." Aurora would remark. All eyes in the hall fell on her. And as they did, the petite masked woman collected herself. She knelt down and adjusted her laces. She collected one of the golden tag title belts that had been entrusted to her for tonight by her team.

Piper didn't spare any chance to continue her taunting and antagonizing while Aurora raced toward the go position. The crowd was still loud and lively as they reacted to this turn of events. Piper demanded The Galaxy Cat's presence! And there were implications of her demanding Aurora for the Apex wrestling tour! As much as Aurora wanted to gloss over this and call it a night, she simply couldn't let such things go unanswered!
Entrance Music
Galaxy Cat- Aurora Estrella

The confusion and the skepticism in the crowd all seemed to dissipate immediately when Aurora's music hit! All the heat on Piper turned into cheers for LAW's one and only Galaxy Cat! The tag team champion winked at the camera before holding her championship belt high up above her head! She'd casually walk down the ramp and high-five some of the fans before making her way for the steel steps and climbing her way up. Before she ducked through the ropes, one of the production crew members by the announce table was kind enough to hand her a mic. The petite luchadora would put her hands together and thank them before ducking between the middle and bottom ropes and joining Piper in the squared circle!

The cheers were so plentiful that Aurora needed to give the crowd a moment before she could speak. The entire time she waited, she looked around the arena with a wide smile on her face. There was no doubt these reactions would upset Piper. But in typical SWAT Cat fashion, that wouldn't stop Estrella from responding to the fans in her own way.

As the cheers died down, Aurora would turn slowly and awkwardly such that she was perpendicular to Piper rather than facing her head-on. The masked girl would brush her side skirt towards her front and look over her shoulder. She bent back a bit as she tried to look down. It was a silly gesture, but soon she pulled her mic toward her face to add context.

"It's....it's not THAT fat, is it?" The curvy lightweight would say with a straight face as she tried to tense her perky bottom while trying to get a good look at it, highlighting one of Piper's earlier insults!

The crowd would respond with a loud cheer for Estrella and her backside! This made Aurora's smile widen. She perked up and turned towards Sherwood once more.

"I know, I know. You want to talk business. You're trying to coerce me into signing....whatever it is you have there in your hand." Aurora would point to Piper's folder.

"And presumably, you'd get an Apex match with me for signing that document...." The SWAT Cat would get back on task with the matters at hand.

"Piper, you're so far off the mark." Estrella would place a hand on her own hip.

"You came away from our last match believing that I don't want to wrestle you because I'm scared? Do you think that rubbing elbows with the likes of Ayane makes you too much for me to handle?! That's nonsense!" Aurora began to speak with conviction. She gripped her mic with both hands.

"Piper, I said as much to you in our first match, but I'll give you further clarity! The reason I have no desire to fight you again isn't that I'm afraid of you!"

"The reason I don't want to wrestle you is that I don't see you as a wrestler!!!"
Aurora slowly began closing the gap between the both of them. The crowd began to rally behind The Galaxy Cat!

"Ever since you faced me, you've chosen to walk a dark path! I don't know what it was about fighting me that gets you there! But somewhere along the line for you, it stopped being about the integrity of this sport! Somewhere along the line, you became unhinged! The Piper that I stepped into the ring with was not the same Piper that stepped out of it after the bell!"

"And you've only gotten worse, haven't you.... the metal bat you carry with you...that sweet yet sadistic grin..."
Aurora looked at Sherwood with an expression of disappointment.

"At the end of the day, your choices are your own, Sherwood. If you want to join the ranks of the most nefarious and unsavory women at LAW, that's your decision. But I won't be your enabler...."

"Win, lose, or draw, somehow getting the better of me during our matches together doesn't bring out the wrestler in you. It brings out a diabolical hitwoman. I can take a punch. I can suffer through a submission hold. But as long as you're more concerned with ragdolling me than you are with scoring pinfalls, for as long as you put humiliating your opponents above winning a wrestling match, I don't see any point in fighting you. And it's for that reason and that reason alone that I won't be signing that."

Aurora would shrug after she made her point. She adjusted the golden belt and draped it over her shoulder. Aurora stood firm, literally and figuratively. She lowered her mic hand and stared at Piper intently as she waited for the blonde's rebuttal.

Piper had known Aurora was in the building thanks to her connections in the back, likewise she knew that her posse was gone from the ring, giving Piper the perfect opportunity to do what she needed to with this promo. Thankfully the Galaxy Cat wouldn't keep Piper waiting for long since shortly after delivering her promo. Hearing the entrance music of Aurora sound off through the arena Piper would smirk and turn towards the entrance ramp with a knowing smirk on her face as she watched the tag champ come down the ramp, not forgoing her usual entrance antics of playing up the crowd, but for once Piper didn't mind.

After all, best let the lamb have its fun while it was being led to slaughter. Eventually Aurora's entrance would draw to a close sooner rather than later with the galaxy cat entering the ring and, rather than facing off with Piper, turned her ass towards the blonde which just made the girl cross her arms with a evil smirk a the girl asked if it was that fat. "Yes. Yes it is." Piper said playing into it and earning some boos from the crowd while others laughed from Aurora's comment, but soon all would fall silent as Aurora began to speak.

"Not too far off." Piper would offer with a shrug at Aurora's opening statement as she correctly pointed out what Piper had been waving in her hand since coming out. But then Aurora would get to the meat and potatoes of her speech. Reiterating that the reason for her refusing a rematch with Piper wasn't because of fear, but because she didn't see Piper as a real wrestler, talking about her deep dive into more and more heelish actions, bad mouthing her relationship with Ayane, etc, using all as reasons not to have a match with her again.

All throughout Aurora's little speech Piper would show very little respect for the woman. Absentmindedly pacing from the middle of the ring to one of the ropes, and whenever her back was towards Aurora the blonde would give a mocking talking gesture with her hands before giving a silent laugh, much to the distaste of the majority of the audience before she turned back around towards Aurora when the woman had finished her heroic speech, evidently waiting for Piper's rebuttal. "Oh oh are you done now? I can talk right? Right everyone?" Piper asked mockingly with a feign weakness in her voice before turning back to Aurora. "Good." She said before taking several big steps towards Aurora till she was just a few feet from the woman.

"Ahem." Piper said, clearing her throat, building up the anticipation as everyone began leaning forward... "Bullshit." Piper said bluntly and loudly, right to Aurora's face, contrary to much of the crowd who thought Piper would have something more eloquent to say, but thankfully for them, she wasn't done just yet.

"You talk like you know me, like I was some innocent former young lioness that had her life turn down hill after losing to you! That the pressure of facing and losing against the great Aurora Estrella made me feel like there was no other way to succeed and it was all your fault!" Piper said, taking on the cadence of an actress on a bad soap opera delivering a monologue, complete with her turning her head back and resting her hand on her head dramatically.... Before turning back towards her foe. "Honestly you give yourself way too much credit." She said snidely with a grin on her face.

"Truth is Aurora.. I've always been a bad apple. To the core. In elementary I set other kids against each other just cause, and I kept it up cause it was, and cause I liked to be the one on top. That was something I found out early on. Something I kept up in middle school, using my looks and my words to do whatever the hell I wanted cause I could. Hell I spent all of high school dominating nerds and losers like you, keeping them in their place, securing my spot at the top. That's all I'm doing here, that's ALL I've EVER done." Piper said annunciating those last few words very clearly as she took a few steps closer to Aurora.

"The problem here in LAW was that I couldn't just get by with words and manipulating. I needed more. I needed the physical skill and knowledge on HOW to be ruthless to follow up on it. Also news flash idiot, I had already started down that path before we ever met, hell just look at what I did to that loser Holly Matheson when she tried to pawn that loser belt off on me." Piper said before leaning in right into Aurora's face. "You think you're so smart, but you don't know me. I've always been the type of woman that left that ring, you're hopeful ass just didn't want to accept it, but Ayane's tutelage hasn't corrupted me, it just sharpened me, made me into the woman that CAN beat you." Piper said, stepping even closer till her chest was pressed against Aurora's, their faces only separated by the mic in front of Piper's mouth.

"Congrats, you beat mean cheerleader just starting to get good Piper, but now the woman standing before you IS a real wrestler, one that won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to win. So call me whatever you want, but accept that this is happening, cause if you don't accept this match, it won't make you look as big as you think it will, you'll just look like what me and quite a few others already think.. a coward." Piper said in a sharp, deadly whisper before following up with a mocking peck of her lips to Aurora's nose before stepping back, doing a slow circle to accept the boos raining down on her before raising her mic once more to her lips. "Oh by the by, you were wrong about one other thing." Piper said snidely, a smug grin on her face before continuing. "See... Ayane isn't the only older woman I've been rubbing elbows with." Piper said in a way that sounded suspiciously like a que.

Piper's nasty attitude wasn't lost on Aurora. Through all of Piper's pacing, her pantomiming and gesturing, and her insolence, Aurora stood firmly and spoke clearly. When Piper asked in a very dismissive tone of the luchadora was done, Aurora would place a hand on her hip on the same side as her blue sash. She cocked her hip to the side and nodded.

"I am."

Sherwood took several strides forward. The two locked eyes. And after clearing her throat, Piper began. Her first word made Aurora's heterochromatic eyes narrow. A sinking feeling grew in the perky lightweight's chest. Somehow Estrella got the feeling that she wasn't going to like what she was about to hear. And sure enough, she did not.

Piper doubled down on the fact the behavior Aurora and everyone else the world over had observed from her wasn't a transformation, but an evolution. She proudly flexed exactly who it was she was. Sherwood proudly declared that she did not become the woman that the crowd say before her. She was always like this, even from a young age! And Piper was bent on keeping it up. If words and manipulation weren't enough to impose her will on others, she'd learn and grow and adapt to find new ways to bully girls like Aurora. The blonde got right up in her face and slowly and emphatically declared that this behavior is all she's ever done, implying that she wasn't changing her ways anytime soon, if not ever.

The Galaxy Cat let out a sigh. She crossed her arms. Estrella had become resigned. Piper was never someone that could be saved. An expression of disappointment formed on the luchadora's face. But still, Piper continued.

The girl pressed her surprisingly buxom chest into Aurora's perky bosom. Where Aurora looked quite finished, Piper was relishing this moment! Piper was confident in her ability to sow discord and get her way with her own brand of charisma- with her words and her ability to manipulate. Those skills were on full display here, of course. Even if the fans didn't like her, none could deny that Piper was a pro at grabbing everyone's attention. As much as Aurora didn't like what she was hearing, she listened to her rival. Piper boasted about how her time with Ayane helped her round out her skill set. How she had improved physically to the point where she was sure of herself that she could defeat the tag team champion!

Aurora's eyebrows raised with curiosity. Curiosity, but not belief.

Piper asserted that things were different now. That the girl Aurora was sharing the ring with now IS the real wrestler. That this "wrestler" was going to make this match happen with petite masked wrestler one way or another, and that she would win it! And with a cold, slow whisper, Sherwood finished, saying that the only alternative to this was Aurora backing out and being labeled a coward by Piper and anyone else that took Piper's side!

Aurora wanted to scoff. But before she could, Piper pecked the tip of the luchadora's nose with her lips! For a second, Aurora would chuckle, not with happiness or any positive emotion, but in sheer disbelief. Piper began to circle her as if she were walking a victory lap, drinking in the innumerable boos that filled the arena after she made her point!

Aurora placed both her hands on her hips and looked down. She was stunned for just a few seconds. She raised her head and quipped back.

"I'm beginning to think that the only reason you're so intent on bullying me is that you're attracted to me, Piper." Aurora spoke in a very frank tone here, making it that much funnier, and turning some of the boos into laughs.

But there was no time to restore order. Piper spoke up once again, this time alluding to the idea that she had more support behind her than just that of Ayane Yamamoto....

"What?" A perplexed Aurora questioned an overly smug Piper. And the Chromatic Cat's question would be answered with the sound of entrance music!
Entrance Music
Assistant General Manager - Angie DeFoe
Image

Right on cue, a presence unfamiliar to Aurora and to everyone else watching would begin to fill the arena. After several seconds of music, the moment the beat dropped, the esteemed Assistant General Manager of LAW walked out from the back and appeared at the top of the entrance ramp. Wrestlers and staff had been aware of her presence via an internal company email. Of course, rumors of the email had leaked to the dirt sheets and to fans over time. But this was the first appearance of Angie DeFoe in the flesh during a live LAW show!

The woman stood tall and set her sights on the ring. She smiled as she took her clipboard in her hand and forearm and brought her fingertips to the corner of her glasses to adjust them. With a wink to the cameras, she began to stride down the ramp in her high heels, swiveling her hips as she did.

The commentary team at ringside explained Angie's background and the internal company memo. How Angie was a member of The Board and in full and total control of all things LAW whenever DeFranco wasn't on the premises. And how her presence here, especially at Piper's behest, couldn't mean anything good for Aurora. And as they spoke this, Angie passed by the desk and eyed them watchfully before gesturing to be handed a microphone. Slowly, DeFoe would make her way to the steel steps and climb them, her heels clicking against the metal structure with each step.

The Assistant GM would make her way into the ring, ducking between the bottom and middle ropes to join Aurora and Piper in the ring. Angie would be all smiles. It was difficult to decipher the woman's intentions from reading her expression. She genuinely seemed happy to be there at that moment.

"Piper...." Angie began.

"I'm going to choose to.... ignore that comment about me being "older", Ayane and I are separated by more than 20 years but I digress....just....be thankful for my good graces..." Angie's gaze would slowly pass over Piper....and fall on Aurora.

"Greetings, Galaxy Cat! Greetings, everyone! Please! Allow me to introduce, myself!"

Aurora was not feeling any of this. The luchadora raised a single skeptical eyebrow.

"I am the Assistant General Manager of LAW, Head of Talent Relations, and the no. 2 in command after our esteemed Chairman and CEO, Dan DeFranco. I am Angie DeFoe!" The blonde would run her nails through her hair and flick her locs to the side before extending a hand to Aurora, seemingly for a handshake.

Aurora looked up at her with all the annoyance and skepticism in the world. The gears had been turning in her head from the moment she laid eyes on Angie. By now everything had become clear to her. The circumstances of Angie's arrival, the timing, the fact that all of this was so clearly premeditated.

Needless to say, Aurora was not keen on the idea of shaking this woman's hand.

"You're.... apprehensive? Yes, that's understandable." Angie nodded. She rescinded her offer for a handshake. She stood for a moment with a contemplative expression on her face. Angie tugged on the collar of her cashmere sweater. She adjusted her 22-karat gold necklace. Aurora's refusal to shake her hand drew some cheers from the audience. Angie paused for only a moment longer before speaking up again.

"I'm sure none of this looks good to you....or to your many fans out here. Or to the millions we have watching at home." Angie would wink at the cameras before turning her attention back to Aurora.

"It's suspicious, isn't it Aurora? Why is she out here? Why now? Is she in league with Piper? What's in that blasted envelope that your biggest fan over there won't stop flaunting around? Heheh...." DeFoe's tone got less informal by the minute. She began to grow serious. She extended a hand to Piper this time, beckoning the girl for the slip. As Piper handed it over, Aurora would eye them both curiously. A single bead of sweat would drop down The Galaxy Cat's chin as she brought her championship title down from her shoulder and took the gold belt in her hand.

"Champion, let me assure you that I'm not the type of person that you and all of these people suspect me to be." The air of distrust in the arena grew thick. The sound of boos from the crowd grew louder.

"Your fear likely comes from the suspicion that I might threaten you into signing this. You've got all these questions on your mind. I'm a fair businesswoman. I always have been. I'll be transparent with you, Aurora...This..." Angie fiddled with the envelope and opened it. The document it contained looked very official. Even from a glance on camera, it was plain to see that it was notarized. It has the LAW logo at the top. Angie would place the document on her clipboard.

"Is an official contract for a LAW Apex match between yourself and Piper Sherwood....at any time of Piper's choosing......in any place of Piper's choosing....with any stipulations....of... Piper's.... choosing..." Angie spoke slowly and paused plenty for emphasis. Aurora placed a hand on her own chest, on the star-shaped boob window of her leotard. She took a step back. Her mouth was agape with shock! No doubt, Piper was loving this. And while she did, Aurora's eyes would widen in disbelief!

"W-why?! I couldn't..." Aurora scoffed in an incredulous and shocked tone. But Angie would raise her fingers and speak over Aurora to get more words in!

"Ohhhh no, no, no, please don't misunderstand! I know what's going through your mind right now, Galaxy Cat! You are LAW's Galaxy Cat! You are beloved by these people! By your fans! You don't think I would stoop so low, did you? You're probably thinking to yourself "This woman is going to threaten me into this match with my job. She's probably going to fire me if I don't sign that!" Angie feigned distress and brought the back of her hand to her own forehead. Slowly she pretended to regain the composure that she never lost.

"Not. At. All...Aurora....you are one of the best wrestlers in this company. You're one of the most respected women in the back. DeFranco talks a lot about you and the other SWAT Cats, believe me. I'm not here to drive you away. In fact, I love that you're at LAW. I wouldn't want you anywhere else. The only reason I helped Piper draw up this little contract is that Piper wants you here just as much as I do!"

"I am not here to threaten your employment here! I respect you, Estrella! Which means....I respect your choices."

By now, Aurora was looking so visibly puzzled that she was squinting.

"You said that you have no desire to wrestle Piper again. And I would never choose to cast aside the wishes of top talent. Which is why...you're not going to sign this because you want to. You're not going to sign this because you have to, either. You, Aurora, are going to sign this contract because you owe management a favor."
Ears all around the arena would perk up as Angie suggested that management was owed this favor from Aurora.

"Let me get right to the point. Fight The LAW 2. You met with DeFranco on numerous occasions, each time demanding that you let your PPV opponent at the time, Rose Gold, name the stipulations of your match with her. You did this to prove a point. A noble effort to many, I'm sure. But the fact remains that DeFranco and a few others acquiesced in your request."

"Despite being asked many times to reconsider, you had him do a favor for you...So now....I'm calling that favor in..."

Angie spoke in a calm, measured tone. By now, it had finally clicked. A look of terror filled Aurora's expression. Angie would reach down into down her collar, almost comedically plucking a pen she seemed to be hiding amidst her sizable bosom. With a click of the pen, Angie would extend the clipboard and pen to Aurora in one hand while keeping her grip on her microphone with the other.

"So what will be, Estrella? Are you signing as a favor to the many bosses and administrative staff that make what we do her possible...or....are The SWAT Cats not honor-bound to repay their favors and their debts?"

Aurora's demeanor soon shifted from confusion and shock to an emotion she very seldom exhibited: anger. The audience reacted with dismay as Aurora stood there, processing all this. The commentary team was vocal about Angie's attempt to manipulate Aurora here. Piper was no better. Whatever the two of them had arranged, this alliance had already proved to be a dangerous and sinister one. What's worse, who's to say that this alliance stops at just Piper and Angie? Who else was Angie working with?

The bigger questions would have to wait, unfortunately. Right now, Aurora was in Angie's and Piper's sights! The fans in attendance crossed their arms and screamed their disapproval. "No" chants filled the arena as Aurora continued to eye the contract in shock.

"An Apex match.....entirely of Piper's choosing....." Aurora looked away....

"No more, no less. I promise you that I'll be right out of your hair once you sign. You won't see me again unless we have business together." DeFoe answered.

Slowly Aurora lifted her hand. Against the fan's wishes and against her own, her fingers grasped the edge of the clipboard. The luchadora dropped her mic as she reached for the pen and curled her fingers over it.

Aurora took both items in hand. The truth was that she did still have strong feelings about all the circumstances that surrounded Fight The LAW. She did owe Dan. She owed management. But DeFranco would never call that favor in. It wasn't on brand for him to. Worse still, there was nothing stopping Angie from stooping even lower if Aurora refused.

"Fine...." Aurora sighed dismissively.

"I don't know what you two are up to. But whatever it is, if this makes us square, then fine...I'll agree to a future match."

She had beaten Piper before. Surely, this wasn't the worst outcome. Aurora took a deep breath. And after doing so, she signed. And when she did, Angie would bend down and hook an arm over Aurora's shoulder before collecting the clipboard and contract.

"Pleasure doing business..." The Assistant GM would say as she locked eyes with Aurora and, in a very sly motion, curled her index finger toward Piper on the arm that she had hooked over Aurora, keeping this gesture in Estrella's blind spot, and prompting Piper to enact the plan! The plan to blindside Aurora by allowing Piper to attack her and spring this match on her right then and there!

Re: Bringing Down The Star (For Winner3)

Piper chuckled softly as she leaned against the ropes lounging with a cocky smile on her face even as Aurora had a sharp retort at the ready for her smarmy little actions towards the masked cat. Truthfully they weren't completely unfounded, there was a certain... attraction had for Aurora, but it wasn't necessarily romantic, maybe lustful, but the blonde was far more interested in breaking the Galaxy Cat's body than taking her out on a date.

That being said though, the source behind Piper's cockiness was soon revealed when the music of the illustrious new assistant GM of LAW made her appearance. 'There she is.' Piper thought to herself as she looked up, taking a backseat and allowing the older woman to take the reigns and do the talking. Watching as the woman explained her business here, on Piper's behalf no less.

'Man I can't believe that idiot pushed so hard for that Rose match, hehe, well biting her back double now, and works to my advantage.' Piper thought to herself as she pushed herself off the ropes and casually strutted about the ring, taking advantage of the fact that Aurora and Angie's conversation was the sole focus of the audience to discreetly bend over and grab the bat that she had discarded earlier. Lifting it up and twirling it in her hand for a moment Piper would watch as Aurora, however reluctantly signed the dotted line of her contract.

'Perfect.' Piper thought to herself with a snide grin, resting her bat over her shoulder while waiting as Angie rested her hand over Aurora's shoulder, all but giving Piper the all clear to set their plan into motion. 'Finally.' Piper thought to herself as she surged forward from behind, the fans reacting just as the blonde swung her bat upwards in a low arc, aiming to slam it right between the woman's thighs! If that worked than Piper would pull back before swinging it once more to bash it against the woman's back!

Not done yet however, Piper would swing the bat again, this time driving it against Aurora's ribs! If that worked then Piper would toss the bat aside, the downpour of boos making the blonde chuckle as she reached down, grabbing Aurora by the shoulders and pulling her up, turning her around to face her. Where Piper would flash her an evil smirk before forcing Aurora backwards.... and then pulling back, while throwing herself back to land her finisher High End to finish off her impromptu beatdown on Aurora!

If the move had landed successfully than Piper would kip up to her feet and turn to Angie, holding her hand out to non verbally ask for the mic she had in her hand. When given it Piper would hold the mic to her lips with a smirk. "By the way... That match? I want it now... And I want it to be no disqualifications." Piper would say, giving an extra stomp to add insult to injury before passing the mic back along to Angie so that she could give the official word to start things. All while Piper would step on the masked woman's head, grinding her heel into the side of her face while waiting for the referee.

Angie had taken her time making her presence known. The relationship between her and Piper seemed....suspect, to say the least. It was a lot for Aurora to process. It was a lot for everyone to process: the commentators, the staff, the fans, everyone. Everyone but Piper, who must have been in on this ruse from the very beginning!

The way Piper strut her stuff about the ring got on the fan's nerves. It annoyed Aurora, though the luchadora tried to set that feeling aside. She was being pressed to make a rather difficult decision. None of the women in the ring right now with her had any sort of good intentions for her. The audience was vocal about their disdain, about how they didn't want The Galaxy Cat to sign. But reluctantly, she did. And that very quickly proved to be a mistake...!

The cameras and the focus were entirely on Aurora and Angie. It wouldn't be until everyone watched the replays that they'd see Angie give Piper the subtle tell that she was all clear! Piper seemed to come in from out of nowhere! The girl had talked a big, nasty game before! And now that she had the promise of an Apex match with Aurora, she was happy to show it this new version of herself to the world!

Without warning, Sherwood swung that bat up in a low arc, nailing Aurora right between the thighs with a low blow using her metal bat!

Instantly, the arena filled with boos! Aurora's mouth went agape as she silently reeled and writhed! It took less than a second for Defoe to put some distance between herself and Aurora. She looked on with her usual expression, not shocked at all by this turn of events! And why should she be!? All was going according to plan!

Aurora shut her eyes as she sank down to her knees! And when she did, Piper swung once more, completely unfettered and unperturbed by the boos loud enough to be felt reverberating throughout the arena!

"ACK!" The second strike elicited a cry of pain from the lightweight!

Her arms bent and spread as the pain surged through her back! She grit her teeth! Her eyes remained shut! Slowly her upper body fell forward. The tag team champion caught herself by putting her hands in front of her. She was now on her hands and knees. Her afro poof hung forward over her head as she lay there in a crawling position with her head hung low. The boos only grew louder. Angie remained unmoving. She took in the sight of Piper's handiwork with a slightly pleased expression on her face!

Piper got in one last shot before tossing her bat aside! She swung her signature weapon of choice into Aurora's ribs, knocking the girl on her side! This last blow made an audible smack that echoed off of the mics! Aurora would hold her side and grit her teeth as her face contorted wordlessly with immense pain! And of course, the sadistic blonde wouldn't leave her there to writhe!

Piper pulled the fallen Galaxy Cat up by her shoulders and by her hair! Curse words and yells of dismay could be heard from all directions! Even the official LAW commentators at the announce desk were up in arms! But Piper turned all her focus on a hurting Aurora! She brought the cute, masked beauty up face to face with her! Aurora's eyes would still be closed in a pained daze! She struggled to draw breath without the mere act of breathing hurting her! She couldn't even look Piper in the eye! And yet, Piper chuckled to herself and bent the champion backward, situating Estrella such that her victim's back was over her knee!

Right away, Piper ripped her finisher! A Swinging Reverse STO that she called High End! Sherwood capped off this combination and her brutal assault on her longtime rival with her finishing move! Once again, Aurora took the move wordlessly! The Galaxy Cat would be left laying in a heap with her arms and legs spread out! The production crew and staff at ringside began to call for security. And, of course, the assistance GM had made preparations such that no one would come...

Piper kipped up off the ring canvas in quick and impressive fashion, only drawing more heat from everyone! When the blonde extended her hand to Defoe, the manager delighted at the chance to hand Piper the microphone! She handed it to Piper with a smile on her face! Piper announced her intention to have the match take place right then and there! She capped off this announcement with a stomp to a downed Estrella for good measure! Aurora remained limp and unmoving! The way things were looking, this "match" was already over before it ever had a chance to begin!

Angie would walk over to the ropes closest to the entrance ramp. She beckoned for an official to come down so they could make this a proper match. All the while, Piper victoriously and disrespectfully ground her heel into the side of a limp, semiconscious Galaxy Cat's head! The way things looked now, the match would start and end with Piper pinning Aurora for three with her foot on the girl's head for the shortest and most dominant match in LAW history! Perhaps even wrestling history in general!

It took no time at all for a plain Jane from the back to find her referee uniform and make her way down to the ring. Angie would hold her clipboard to her chest and let out a satisfied sigh. She began to walk towards the corner closest to the steel steps. But before she took off, she turned to her "client".

"Piper..." Angie began in a somewhat stern tone.

"I expect results...." Defoe would smile before exiting the ring and descending the steps to make her leave. As she took off, the referee entered. She seemed reluctant but willing to call the match.

This whole time, Aurora was still out of it! Images and gifs of Sherwood with her heel on the famed luchadora's head would circulate even now as Piper readied herself to rob Aurora blind of her chance at LAW Apex! And her chance at the LAW World Openweight Title!!!

Piper smirked down with a vicious glint in her eyes as she stood above Aurora, literally digging her heel into the masked luchadora's face, asserting her dominance over her as ruthlessly as possible. Turning to the woman who helped make it happen Piper would flash a smile full of the confidence that came with such a position as she had right now. "Don't worry you'll get them and then some..." Piper boasted before looking at the referee as they entered the ring. "Bout time. Now lets make some history." Piper said as she suddenly pulled her leg up and dropped down, knee first on Aurora's collarbone just under her neck before leaning forward, pressing her palm against Aurora's cheek and forcing the side of her face against the mat as Piper leaned on her. "Count!" Piper snapped at the ref before he dropped down to count possibly the fastest pin ever in wreslting!

"ONE!"

"TWO!"
