Friends Share! - Navi vs. Domino

Drake exhales a groan as he's pulled to his full height again, stumbling forward against Navi once upright. Whipped, that stagger plays against him, seeing him follow through all the way to the opposite end of the ring. He pivots on heel and nearly falls out of the ring, were it not for the ropes catching him at his back. They send him charging back to her, only to be popped into the air and slammed back down.

Aching back doesn't begin to describe it. The impact is explosive pain, earning a pained cry from the model and limbs spasming against the mat once before splaying out supine before her. Eyes squeeze shut, bare chest rising and falling rapidly with each strained breath.

Melody stood, with her mouth agape and eyes wide open in shock over her friend managing to counter the finisher the man she herself couldn't defeat...and who now laid at the French blonde's feet, his breath ragged, seemingly defeat.

Navi would drop on top of Drake, breathing just as raggedly and rapidly as Domino, certain that she put down Drake for good:

"MELODY, COUNT!"

Snapping out of her stupor, Melody dropped to her knees, and proceeded with the count: "ONE!"

Drake's body is in blinding pain. Were it not, he'd be shoving Melody off of himself. Were it not, he might even be enjoying the sensation of a pretty French girl lying over him. Were it not, he might reflect on how this is the first match he'd ever lost to a female. There's a lot to think about or do in this situation, and not a bit of it is registering to him. Where Navi pulled that power from is beyond him.

He isn't budging to buck her off. Navi gets to enjoy her fit and trim mattress as long as she likes, apparently. The only movement he takes is his head turning aside, eyes still shut and body splayed.

"TWO!", Melody let out, as Drake stayed, seemingly unmoving, shock still fresh in her mind. Navi had hit her finisher on Domino, and the raven-haired wrestler was not getting up from it.

What the French girl herself thought at the moment? "Went exactly how I thought it would."

"THREE!"

Wearing an incredibly smug grin on her face, Navi stood off of Drake's hard figure, lifting her left arm into the air from victory, as the flow of adrenaline throughout her body subsided, and she felt all that Drake had put her through during the match: "Yeah!...take that...uggh...", Navi tried to come up with a quip, but was too tired to think of anything. Melody wasn't lying, she thought. Drake was incredibly tough. Had he locked in his finisher in full, she probably wouldn't have tapped...but also, couldn't have escaped...would she really have passed out from pain in a hold during the spar?

It didn't matter to her now, as she dropped to a sit at the turnbuckle of the ring, Melody stepping towards her to check on her:

"You alright?"

"Yeah "huff"...couldn't be...ow...better...aaaaah...", Navi tried to boast, but the bumps on her sweaty body couldn't have told a more different of a story.

Melody nodded at Navi, however. This was her during a hard-fought match, win or lose. In the back of her mind, however, she couldn't let go of a small insecurity...did Navi really get better than her during the year the 2 of them really started their wrestling careers?

Approaching Drake, Melody would ask her friend: "Hey, you alright there?"

As the count continued, Drake's mind began to refocus and de-clutter. He wasn't thrilled with this result, but he's taking solace in knowing that it was only a spar. Were this in front of a crowd, and had he something to lose other than simple pride, it'd be an issue. He'd have more ground to make up in his ongoing fight to be given his due.

By the time Melody has returned to him, the young model has rolled over onto his side with one hand at his extremely sore back. Her question is met with a dismissive but strained, "I'm good." He might've added more, but he's not good. He's in a lot of pain. Navi is free to gloat as she will.

"Ahahaha...you sure, Drake? The 3 count..."pant" says otherwise...", Navi would gloat once more, really proud with her win as she sat and relaxed after the grueling battle, as Melody looked at her with a displeased look on her face, before turning at Domino, outstretching her hand to Drake: "Ignore her. How's your back?", she would ask him. She felt slightly bad for the raven-haired wrestler. He likely wasn't anticipating to do any sort of sparring today while he trained...much less to lose it by being powerbombed by a slightly shorter blonde girl...

As a professional wrestler, Drake's gotten quite used to gloating, sore winners, and egomaniacs. Where Navi falls exactly, he isn't sure. Whatever it might be, hearing her taunt from her position of victory burns all the same. It makes him want to get up and call for a round two, and wipe that look off her face. It's inspiring, in a dark way; enough to draw him to prop up to an elbow, his back screaming in protest. "Anh...!" That's about as much progress as he's making yet.

"I'm fine," he insists once the spike of pain subsides. His free hand raises as if to ward Melody back, refusing to let his pride be diminished further. "I'm fine."

Although Navi wished to rub her win in further, the look from Melody, as well as a loud scream of pain from the black haired wrestler made her shut up. Was she a sore winner, loving to rub it into people's faces that she beat them? Yes, she didn't deny that...but she wasn't that much of an asshole that she wouldn't help an opponent up...even if she herself was pretty hurt.

As Navi stood up, the greenette would look slightly surprised by her obsidian haired friend warding her off. His back was hurt, but there was something else there. She felt he was...ashamed of losing, with the French blonde's words burning in his ears. She approached him again, trying to grab him at his right side to try and help him to his feet. Navi, finally getting off her high horse, would thankfully do the same, prompting Drake from his left to help Melody: "Yeah, don't think your spine being rearranged classifies as "fine""

"Let us lead you to the medical room, Drake. Please.", Melody would plead with Domino...

There comes a point where turning down assistance goes from protecting one's pride to being kind of dickish. Melody seems to only be acting in concern for a friend, and he keeps turning that down. Despite him being the one in pain recuperating, he's starting to feel bad about it. Heck of a sport he's involved in.

"I- I don't need medical, I'll be fine. Just need to rest a minute." Frankly, the idea of Navi having actually injured him is worrying. This little spar she demanded could damage his actual career. "...maybe a little pop-in.."

Melody, he accepts. Navi, he's more reluctant with. But grudgingly, he accepts, expression a mixture of fatigued, periodically pained, and totally annoyed. All of that is vocalized with a single puff of a sigh.

With Drake reluctantly accepting the two girls' help, Navi and Melody heaved Domino up, trying to lead him outside the ring. As Melody opened up the ropes to make it easier for the 3 of them to exit, leaving Drake's whole weight on the French blonde alone, Navi realized, maybe she would need a pop-in to the medical room as well, with her spine still searing in pain. As Melody once again picked up Drake at his right once more, Navi would realize that Drake was being led to the medroom by the two quite beautiful ladies. That thought was summed up by simple two words running through her head: "Lucky bastard...", while wearing a sly smile on her face.

Melody, slightly slow on stuff like that, simply assumed Navi was just smiling over her win as the 3 wrestlers slowly made their way towards the medical room...
