And then there was getting the match she wanted right from the start. She hadn't known what would happen when she made the challenge to Death Bunny - there was always the chance the woman wouldn’t accept, or that she wouldn’t even be in the building, and she would leave her hanging in the ring like a dumbass. Instead, she’d not only shown up, but shown up in grand style, making her acceptance known with an electrifying entrance. They’d had their match, and it was nothing short of legendary, with Halloween getting to test herself against the woman she’d idolized for years. She had only just started her LAW career, and it felt like she’d already peaked.
Everything was great, fine, perfect, couldn't be better, coming up dandy for Halloween. Everything except for one, tiny little problem…
Halloween needed money. Like…more than she had. Quite a lot more, really.
Even with the contract, relocating to Japan had depleted a significant portion of her cash reserves. Getting an apartment in Tokyo wasn’t cheap, and if she were doing the math correctly, she would scarcely have enough left in the bank to eat this month. That entrance for her match with Death Bunny had cost her a pretty penny, too, and then there was Lovers coming back into her life out of nowhere and shacking up with her, which was piling on the expenses. There was always livestreaming she could do, sure, but that was an inconsistent revenue stream at best. So, with that in mind, there was only one thing she could do: Go hunting.
Halloween, on the prowl…

Back home, Halloween had perfected her technique. There was an art to it, you couldn't just go after any mark. The first step was finding the right person. Someone distracted, someone with deep, open pockets, someone that would never think anyone would steal from them, someone like…
Oh. Oh, yeah, she would do it. She would do just fine.
Halloween moved in, trying not to be too obvious as she walked towards her target, and ‘accidentally’ bumped into her at just the right time to make the perfect swipe.
