"
Oh come on Isa! I don't need you babysitting me!"
"
For the umpteenth time Julie, I'm not babysitting you. I'm merely ensuring your safety!"
"
Come on! Wrestlers aren't supposed to have personal bodyguards in LAW! You're making me to just want to bury my head in my hands..."
"
I'm not your bodyguard! I'm your friend, and my only point is to make sure that-..."
"
Come on, it's not necessary! I can perfectly well-..."
"
You have already forgotten what happened with that girl - Vanessa? Have you?"
"
That was ages ago!"
"
But it's... *sigh* Let me just see how the place is like, OK? It's a new and unfamiliar place for both of us, right?"
"
Fine, Isa! Fine... You can come check out the place... But then you'll LEAVE, OK? You're hearing me loud and clear, OK?"
"
Yes Julie, I am. We can do it any way you wish to... After we've seen what this whole match is going to be all about."
As Julie O'Reilly was approaching the assigned room for her today's match along the endless hallways of the LAW campus with her friend Isa, the duo held vastly different levels of concerns for Julie's scheduled matchup tonight. While the spunky Irish gingerhead was vehemently approaching her match with ample enthusiasm, the blonde Icelander had clear doubts and suspicions regarding its stipulations, location, and setting.
For Julie, the match scheduled for today was simply intriguing and interesting! The Velvet Hood had established herself already a rather versatile, open-minded and fearless wrestler within LAW's ranks, eager to try out all kinds of match types and face varied opponents, even if her record was telling that with that strategy, she had ended up often biting a bit more than she could chew. It hadn't made the management to hesitate over placing the enthusiastic gingerhead into all kinds of matches though, and she was already becoming a rather popular sight among the viewership to see featuring in them. So all was good, right?
Well, for Isa, having heard from Julie's upcoming match just moments ago, the setting did not appear quite as positive. While of course, the Angel of Ice was very aware that Julie was perfectly rightful to make her own decisions, and there was no way she could have looked after her in a place like LAW, this match in particular seemed to contain some red flags. A bedroom knockout match? Against some relative newcomer that she had no idea of? Isa had been forced to pay some due diligence on her end to make sure that Julie wasn't happily marching into something where she could end up in some real harm - like had practically happened in one of her encounters previously against Vanessa Jones, at least in Isa's eyes - and to get a sense of exactly whom she was going to be dealing with.
What Isa had found out hadn't exactly alleviated her concerns. She hadn't had much time for conducting research, but had found a quick fact sheet. This woman,
Avery Merritt, was a heavyweight. A heel heavyweight. Accompanied by lots of comments on "
deadly legs" by various sources.
Isa really needed to check out what Julie was getting herself into. And to make sure that she would come back from this bedroom... Well, alive.
Of course, for Julie, Isa was simply exaggerating. Worrying over nothing. Or well, internally, she could admit that her friend most likely had
some justified cause for concern... But she shouldn't have been! Julie was, even with her lightweight frame, a big girl already, and perfectly capable of making her own decisions, and coping on her own!
And that exactly was the perfect reason to promptly knock on the door that the duo had just reached, before Isa could preach her any more of her tirade.
The knocking was promptly met with an invitation to enter the apartment. While Julie simply opened the door excited, not thinking too much of
how she had been invited to enter the apartment, for Isa, it was yet another red flag flying.
While Julie first spotted her apparent opponent settled regally on the bed, her attention was immediately drawn to a multitude of other things too. "
Ohhh... Wow..." the gingerhead simply let out in awe, as her eyes wandered around the elaborate, plushy and indulgent setting, the chandelier, the curtains and walls, the furniture, the tray full of fresh produce, with finally settling again upon the oversized bed - and how sexy and inviting her opponent already looked like...
Isa on the other hand, after having closed the door behind her and made sure that it was left unlocked, noted some markedly different features of the room. Her eyes settled on Julie's apparent opponent first too, and remained scrutinizing her for quite a while as well. She was certainly a heavyweight, with some ample curves, and Isa was sorry to immediately recognize that Julie was likely going to be struggling against her, despite her friend's ample enthusiasm. But she then also noticed that basically the entirety of the room was covered with black wrestling mats - clearly the point wasn't for the fight to simply stay on top of the plush bed. In some ways, that might have been good, but in some others... Isa wasn't sure.
But what eventually drew Isa's attention the most was another figure settled in a chair at a corner, one dressed up like a LAW referee. Now that seemed to be a relief! Frankly, Isa had already assumed that no refs or other officials would be present in a match like this, so this was actually a happy surprise... Both due to the fact that Julie was likely better protected, and also due to her gingerhead friend's word and demands no longer holding the highest authority in this room for the Angel of Ice.
Julie proceeded soon enough to settle herself in front of the bed, observing the white-clad woman on the bed from beneath her hood. "
Hey there... I'm Julie! Nice to meet you... Is this your apartment?" she began greeting and quering the elegant, toned blonde, while her eyes were wandering along her curves...
...meanwhile, Isa had promptly proceeded to meet up with the official.
"
Hello there. I'm Isa, Julie's friend... Mind if I join in the room as audience?"
"
WHAT?!? ISA, NO! YOU-..."
"
Oh, hello Miss Isa. Of course you can! There should be plenty of seating there!" the official declared, pointing at some plush chairs across the room.
Having conveniently secured access to observe the match unfolding, Isa only then turned to face Julie and Avery again, ignoring the Irish girl's rolling eyes and annoyed expression towards her, and instead laying a warning gaze towards the woman clad in white lingerie on the bed, her expression highly suspicious over what was to come.
