"Well, I guess this one way to do a match." Himeko twirled the shinai in her hand, looking it over again. All in all, the cruise itself wasn't that bad save for Reiko getting somehow seasick. Some of the matches were interesting watches, a few of the people made for passable conversation, and being on the sea for a bit away from all the bullshit that was LAW's general atmosphere and her own private life left the Princess in a surprisingly good mood. And for all her provocations and threats, Nanase had been keeping her distance and was generally cordial toward her. All things considered her time in this PPV card was pretty pleasant. Which only made the coming storm of wooden beatdown a bit more suspicious. "Hm..." Himeko's eyes trailed along the shaft her weapon, feeling it in her hands. It was the shinai she always carried when she went out of the house, but... "Going out into the ring with Kiri-Kiri just feels wrong."
"I still can't believe you named it that." Reiko said, letting out a sigh.
Himeko rolled her eyes. "Yeah, when I was kid. The name just stuck."
"Ane-san, that name sucks." Reiko added, getting smack upside the head from Himeko.
"Can it." She rolled her shoulders, finally standing to her feet. "I'm off then."
"Want me to come too?"
Himeko paused, thinking on it. The two were both in uniform, and she had already made an effort to have the three show up together in non-hentai matches as a show of force and unity. Well, I already know what Nanana's up to, so...
"Sure, tag along Runt."
And as if her words were the signal, the guitars and strings of her theme music kicked in. And before reaching the stage Himeko stopped Reiko before that revealed themselves, the music pausing right before the vocals.
"[ Hel-loooooo Tampa! ]" And Nanase's voice rang throughout the ring in clear, nearly unaccented English. "[ We have a special match for you tonight, an Anything Goes Kendo Stick Match! I, Hangaku, the Bewitching Warrior of Senso no Hana, have the esteemed privilege to announce our first arrival! ]"
Himeko couldn't help but let a grin show on her face. "Heh, it's like we never argued, huh Runt?" She asked, turning to the stunned and confused Reiko as Nanase continued.
"[ From Tokyo, Japan! Standing at 5 feet even and 117 pounds! It's time all present kneel and prostrate themselves, for our Steel Princess descends to your level! Behold, our General who will turn LAW into a beautiful garden of War Flowers! Koooooou-HIME!! ]"
With all the preamble finished, Himeko walked onto the stage as the vocals of her them finally kicked in with Reiko behind her and Nanase soon appearance to her right side as always. "So... still want Igarashi to beat me within an inch of my life, or was that just all talk?" Himeko didn't look Nanase's way as they walked, but she could practically sense the woman's lips move to their usual calm smile as she heard her giggles.
"That's a secret~"
Of course... With shinai in hand, Himeko climbed right into the ring with little fanfare. Nanase could hype up the crowd, but Himeko had no intention of putting on a massive performance. She was here to settle a score, make a point, and have Igarashi Chika on her knees before her by the end of this.
Chika was happy the match was happening. She was determined to make tonight the end of her feud with Himeko, and with her past…and if she got to cave her rival’s head in with a wooden stick while doing so, it was all the better. It was good to have a job that solved problems with her co-workers, the Joshi chuckled to herself.
…though, last week, as the PPV took place on a boat, she wished she could’ve gotten to throw the Steel Princess off into the ocean.
In contrast to Himeko’s Senso No Hana, it was only Chika and her kendo stick in gorilla position as she waited for Himeko’s entrance to be done. Clara was badly hurt after her match (still believing how stupid the idea was for Clara to do such a match), and Alice was banned from anything involving the PPV. There was no back up behind her. She doubted Amano or Hangaku were going to get involved in between the bells, so she had to make what she did in the ring count. For good. Spoiler
Chika would be announced in a regular manner, making her way down the ramp in her entrance armor, kendo stick behind her, to the cheers from the crowd, lifting her arm up to showcase her readiness for the match. Spoiler
Once inside, she quickly dumped her armor outside of the ring, her gaze firmly on Himeko, as she held the kendo stick’s top in the ground, as if placing her sword, waiting for the bell to ring to beat the hell out of Himeko…
Himeko watched as Chika came down the ramp, a much quieter affair than her own that had the Princess feeling outdone in a way. Even if her own intro wasn't anything compared to Reiko's first PPV event it still felt like she had the flashier intro... and she couldn't help but frown at the Raven Knight's somber entrance.
"And here I thought she'd do something flashy..." She muttered, her voice almost showing her disappointment. Well, it doesn't matter. At the end of the day, this was a fight to settle a score and get some closure. The flash didn't matter, only the swings taken and given. And Chika still brought the armor, so... it was something. Kinda' figured she'd keep it on for this, but... Himeko shook her head, halting her thoughts as she waited for the bell to start off the match.
*DING!*
And at its sound Himeko pushed herself off the ropes and walked toward the center of the ring with shinai in hand, letting it rest over her shoulders as her eyes scanned Chika over, waiting. "So... ready to end this?"
Chika was not going to wear armor for the match, even though it was technically legal, for a simple reason. She wanted no side advantages. If...when she won, it would be with her own two hands, having the same general advantages a regular wrestler would in a match like this.
The bell rung, and Himeko asked the key question of the match.
To which Chika nodded.
And dashed towards the Steel Princess, stick in both hands, trying to swing aggressively onto her rival's head!
Chika moved like a woman wanting blood. The speed had Himeko raising an eye in surprise. She really wants me, huh? Regardless, a mad dash might be good for fast aggression, but the arc of Chika's swing made her sword's target obvious. Himeko quickly brought up her own sword in anticipation, a wooden clack ringing out as wood met wood, and Himeko's body shifting only a little against the weight of Chika's blow. The Princess's eyes didn't leave Chika's, only push the blade to the side and now bring up her own in a more readied grip and stance.
"Well, sucks for you Igarashi." Himeko mused. "Swordplay's been drilled into me as much as judo." She quickly pulled her blade back, thrusting it forward right for Chika's stomach.
Chika didn't have a childhood where she had a moment to have proper martial arts techniques drilled into her. Once she started her wrestling training, she had to unlearn every way she had learned to fight before, simply because her fighting before was simple brawling.
Needless to say, this also applied to wielding a kendo stick. Chika simply didn't have the skills and experience Himeko possessed as she blocked her swing with ease, before mocking the Raven Knight.
Growing angry Chika rushed forward...but only had the kendo stick thrust into her stomach for her troubles.
"GUH!"
Chika backed off, but tried to aim low to nail her foe at her leg with her weapon to try and force the Steel Princess to back off!

Himeko pulled her sword back as Chika staggered, taking a step forward to follow up. "Hm," Her muscles tensed as Chika pushed on despite the pain, watching the arch of her blade moving toward her leg. Smart, but- Himeko flicked her wrist down, her arms feeling the shock of Chika's strike. Her eyes narrowed on impact, moving a step forward while meeting Chika's eyes again.
A fun thing about using kendo sticks She changed her grip, moving the moving her blade down to meet Chika's again. Just a bit closer and- Gripping the sword handle tight, Himeko shot her arm up, aiming the butt of her handle to nail Chika right in the jaw for her troubles.
Himeko would block Chika’s low attack as she tried to pull back, hoping that, even with a block, she stunned her rival enough…but instead, she just walked towards Chika, and before the Raven Knight could blink, her foe’s weapon’s handle would nail her right on the jaw.
She grunted, stunned by the strike, trying to use her stick to keep outright…but as a result, she left herself completely open to Himeko’s next attack!
The strike echoing through the ring got a wince from the crowd, even Reiko shuddered a little at the sight. Clearly the crowd was expecting something a lot more basic, simple sword swings, maybe using their weapons as makeshift bats or something.
Yeah, no.
Himeko was neither that basic nor that merciful. A kendo stick match might had sounded like a fun chance to see some hardcore action, but LAW just gave a sword to swordswoman, and the world was about to see exactly what that meant, with Chika's body as the canvas for it. Himeko flipped her grip again, her sword now up and in front of her. Chika seemed to be getting her bearings back by just a little after the uppercut, but her struggle to shake off the hit still left her open. That shinai was a cane now. Alright then-
Himeko stepped forward, sliding her foot along the mat to kick the shinai right from under Chika's grip and bring her own shinai down on her head in a fluid motion.
