How cruel could life be to people? A career just starting in LAW that was about to get snuffed out and from what she heard it was the start of another wrestling families young start. Not many things could spell disaster more than being in the ring with Korra and despite how young and cute she looked that just made the desire to punch her around the ring until she was a knocked out mess stronger. Korra’s merciless nature would show when she came out to the entrance already cracking her knuckles her music playing but the boos made that hard to hear. It was fine. The boos could be her music. Confident strides to the ring made her intentions clear and all the while a smile to match that confidence played on her face. Soon she was waiting in the ring but she just slowly walked in circles around it waiting for something or someone to catch her attention, even dying up the ref who had no desire to be alone in the ring with her but until her opponent showed up Korra was trapping her and looking like a shark.

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
" Uhmm...d-d-do you need something...uhmm... " the cute redhead ref muttered as Korra glared at her, starting to circle her, making the official back step towards the corner, as Korra got closer, trapping her.
" P-please stand in your corner. Go...please. " the ref shyly requested, averting her eyes from Korra.
Another match! Mimi was grinning wide, yet another chance to dance upon this large stage, it was only her second match, but she was no less excited than her first. The energetic heavyweight quickly made her entrance as her theme played, walking down the ramp towards the ring, enjoying the noise from the live crowd.
" Happy to be here! Thank you, thank you! " Mimi called out, getting some cheers just through how enthusiastic and goody she was being, though her famous name probably helped. Soon enough Mimi entered the ring, and walked up towards Korra, now both wrestlers were blocking the poor frightened looking ref in the corner.
" Hello! " Mimi chirped, lifting both her hands to try to forcibly take one of Korra's and start shaking it.
" Nice to meet you, I'm Mimi. Have you heard of me? What's your name? " Mimi fired off too many questions at once, speaking at a pace that was probably not making it easier to respond.
" C-corners girls... " the ref muttered quietly, as she sidestepped out of her own corner to flee to the safety of the other side of the ring

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
“Yes you can. Just stay right there. If I don’t get an opponent soon I’ll need to kick someone else’s ass.” Making the ref worry more just for kicks she got closer as if she was serious before finally music played. Korra turned to see her new test some twin-tailed girl clad in red who seemed a tad chipper for what was supposed to be a fight marching down to the ring while excited for this match. She even came down to the ring and actually grabbed her hand and shook it rapidly. It all happened so fast Korra didn’t even pull away or act since by the time she realized it Mimi was done and the two were now face to face between the nervous ref. Korra had to process all her questions at once but once her mind started working again Korra quickly started. “Yes I know who you are. Name’s Korra so be prepared to learn that quickly.” The ref flex from the two girls while Korra looked over Mimi. From afar she looked childish and new. She still looked like that up close she looked much stronger than she did from the ramp and far more dangerous. Still she would bet money she was untested welp wet behind the ears. “I take it you haven’t heard of me?”

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
Mimi eagerly awaited those responses, the bubbly heavyweight taking a moment to register if all of those had been answered adequately, before deciding that was a waste of thoughts. " Korra. Got it, Korra. " the twin tailed fighter said before letting go of her hand, listening to what Korra had to say before turning around and starting to walk to her corner.
" Nope, I haven't! Let's get this started! " Mimi yelled, stretching her arms overhead to warm them up, crossing one in front of the other as she walked to her corner and turned around waiting for the bell to ring. The chipper heavyweight them stretching out the rest of her body, finishing up with her legs just a second or two after the bell had rang.
Mimi would walk out of the corner, but not towards the middle of the ring, despite her naive appearance she knew better than to trust an unknown opponent to maintain fairness during a test of strength. Mimi was curious how strong Korra was, but she figured the better move was to force a grapple when it suits her.

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
Korra could only stare blankly at the ditzy woman. Any attempt at intimidation didn’t seem to work on her since it seemed Mimi missed everything she was saying and just heard the parts she asked. She just shook her hands and was stepping back to get in her corner to start the match while Korra remained in place before she finally went to her corner. Since she couldn’t scare this girl she hoped she could at least make a fun bit of entertainment for her to beat up. When the bell rang Mimi and Korra both moved out but Mimi stayed back, not getting close to the center of the ring in a rare show of caution after her otherwise naive start. Korra would have to be the one to make things happen and would try to corner and close in on Mimi to force her to meet Korra in a struggle.

Mimi could sense that Korra was trying to corner her, so the bubbly heavyweight would opt to put her caution aside as she waited till just about when Korra would make the biggest stride towards her rather than continuing to retreat. Mimi moved with a speed and bounciness that certainly wasn't expected of most her stature.
Mimi would try to grab Korra by the head, spinning round and trying to pull Korra over her shoulder in a sudden snap mare to throw her opponent into the canvas.

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
However much Korra wanted to get close and get dirty she had to be smart. This chick didn’t seem to be the biggest threat but lacking in a proper strategy has cost fighters for generations and Korra was not going to be added to the list. Her quick rush just as she thought Mimi was cornered failed when the younger fighter showed her awareness and closed her off before catching her head with some impressive speed. She thought she was going to be pulled in for a headlock, instead Mimi tossed her with almost astounding ease and had Korra flip and land on her back and roll along. “Uff. How the heck?” Her landing wasn’t graceful or pleasant and she felt her back tighten from the sudden drop while she was on the floor and in a very poor position for a battle between strong fighters.

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
Mimi had managed to disorientate Korra momentarily with the sudden snap mare, she had intentions beyond though, that was simply the way to lower her opponent's defences to gain the early advantage.
Mimi didn't respond to those words at first, focusing on the action as she reached down to grab her opponent's upper body and pull her up into a seated position, before trying to step over her shoulders and close her thighs hard around her head in something that resembled a head scissors. Though Mimi would use this position to try to pull her head down close to the canvas, stretching out het arms against the mat to then gain some height before trying to slam her hips down to bash Mimi's face and head into the canvas in a rather suggestive manner, skull humping her while repeatedly bashing her face into the canvas.
" It's easy really! I can like, totally show you if you want to wrestle again, in the gym or something! " Mimi said in a belated response, while trying to pound her opponent's head into the canvas mercilessly.

Re: Korra vs Mimi Yamamoto - Sink Or Swim Debut
Korra should have known better then to think that someone who came from a wrestling family wouldn’t be prepared just because they were didn’t look serious. Before she had even thrown a punch she was dropped to the floor where Mimi quickly dropped in behind her and pulled her into a head scissors while seated. Korra barely started to pull for her freedom when Mimi quickly forced her down to the floor keeping herself up by staying on her hands Mimi would lift with her legs and began slamming Korra’s head into the mat! The proud fighter undefeated in LAW was being slammed into the mat with her face made to rub it over and over again by Mimi’s legs in what had to be an embarrassing position for her. What made Korra even angrier was that Mimi was acting like this was just another day in her life. Getting one over on Korra was just a Tuesday to this lady!
