Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker

Post by MrBrightside »

Match Type: Submission Match

Coming off the heels of a successful debut, Risako wanted to keep the momentum going and that meant getting back in the ring and racking up more wins. She wouldn't have to wait long to get started as less than twenty-four hours after her debut Risako received a call from L.A.W. management informing her that her next match had already been booked. This next match though would be a significant departure from her previous match. Not only would she be up against a female opponent this time, but this match would need to be won specifically by submission.

What struck Risako as odd though was that her opponent was stated to come from a boxing background and had little experience in wrestling. Granted, Risako herself didn't have much experience in wrestling either. But her MMA background would undoubtedly make her the heavy favorite in a submission match. She didn't know what was going through the head of whoever booked this match. Maybe her opponent pissed off someone in management or maybe they were just having a laugh. Whatever the reason, Risako had a job to do and she was going to win.

Risako confidently strode down to the ring as her music echoed throughout the arena. She went up the steel steps in the corner and struck a brief pose against the ropes drawing cheers from the crowd. She then stepped through the ropes and did some last-minute stretches as she awaited her opponent.

Alright...

Showtime.
Liz's Entrance theme
"AWWWWWWWW YEEEEEEEEEAH!"

As the opening notes of Larger than Life filled the arena, Liz's voice blared out over the speakers. The self-proclaimed "baddest bitch in LAW" was back, and as much as some might put the emphasis on bad, Liz was here to make sure everyone knew it. Fog blasted into the ramp's entrance, pyrotechnics exploded in an arc over the walkway as Liz strut out, arms up, microphone in hand. With a wide grin, she looked out over the crowd, soaking in the noise: the cheers; the jeers; the boos...

It was beautiful.

Some wrestlers might feel a little nervous making a return with a record of zero wins and only losses - and in Liz's mind, they were fucking cowards.

"Yeah! Yeah!" She cried out, pumping her fist into the air in time with the beat, her smile only shining brighter as she made her way down towards the ring, a strut of sheer, unearned confidence in her step as she walked. "Lemme save you some trouble over at the announcer's table: entering now from Toooooooronto, Canada, weighing in at oooone hundred and thirty-five pounds: Liiiiizbeeeeeeth Paaaaaarker! WHOO~!"

Liz was basking in the attention, soaking it in, dancing her way down the ramp to the ring, and when she finally reached it she hopped up, sliding through the ropes with a practiced ease.

"And thaaaat makes ME largerrrr than LIFE! WHOO!" Liz cheered as she made it to the center of the ring, pointing out to the crowd before turning her attention to her opponent with a smug smirk. "So what the fuck is this, hm? You getting ready for track and field stretching like that??" She taunted, strutting towards the other woman, leaning forwards as she went to poke at Risako's forehead.

'So that's how it's going to be, huh?' Risako thought with a roll of her eyes. It was clear that her opponent didn't lack for confidence even if it wasn't warranted. She wasn't sure if her opponent was really that arrogant or if she was just putting up a front. Though to be fair, if you didn't have confidence in yourself then you've already lost before you even set foot in the ring. She could do without the blatant disrespect though.

"Gotta stay limber, you know? Wouldn't want to pull a muscle before the match even starts." Risako dryly remarked swatting Liz's finger away. The two glared at each other as the referee instructed them to back away from each other. Once they did the referee called for the bell to be rung and the match to start.

"Let's see if you can back up all the bluster!" Risako challenged as she held out her hands in front of her, inviting her opponent to a test of strength.

Liz's smug smirk didn't fade one little bit as Risako slapped her hand away. No, quite the opposite in fact: it spread into a toothy grin as her eyes narrowed, shooting a somewhat sinister look over at the other woman. "Ooooh, did I touch a neeeeerve?" She asked, putting her hands on her hips and leaning in slightly. "Alright Trackmeet, if that's all it takes to get under your skin, you're gonna have a baaaaad time tonight."

Liz laughed to herself as she backed up to her starting spot, glaring back at Risako with her grin still plastered across her face. Once she hit her mark, the snow-haired former boxer idly tapped her foot on the canvas, leaning forwards, lowering her center of gravity as though she were a wild cat just waiting to pounce!

Ding ding ding!

As the bell rang, Liz charged forwards, watching as Risako's hand came up. A test of strength? Well, that was something that even a novice wrestler with her upper body strength could manage. Recklessly accepting, Liz's fingers clasped with Risako's, her biceps flaring up as she pressed forth, trying to overpower her foe from the start!

"Let's see if you can last ten seconds!"

“Trackmeet? Really?” Risako asks more nonplussed than anything at her opponent’s choice of nickname. She quickly put it out of her mind though as her opponent would accept the invitation she laid out. The two women met in the center of the ring and locked hands for a test of strength.

“If you’re expecting a quick shot, you’ve got another thing coming!” Risako says in response to Liz’s taunt. Her muscles strain as she attempts to overpower her opponent, giving as good as she gets. With the two women being of similar size and build it doesn’t seem like has a significant advantage over the other.

Liz's grin only seemed to widen as Risako questioned her choice of nickname.

"Seemed to get under your skin well enough the first time." She quipped, pressing in as they pushed against each other. "Can't expect me to use my best material... ggrr... On just any easy floozy."

As she taunted her foe again, her biceps flared out, her thighs flexed as she pushed in against Risako. Her opponent had a slight height advantage, but Liz seemed to be a bit heavier, and the two mostly seemed to cancel each other out... Plus, it certainly didn't help that Liz had trained in punching, and not grappling, so even if she had a strength advantage, Risako almost certainly had the upper hand when it came to technique.

"Heh, not bad." She quipped, leaning in and sneering right in her foe's face, "But I... hhh... Have an ace up my sleeve..." She added with a devious little wink.

Risako ignored the jab about being easy and instead focused on the tasked at hand. She tried to push her opponent back towards the ropes but she wasn't making really making any progress. But neither was her opponent. It seemed like neither woman would be able to outright overwhelm the other.

"Ngh...what are you... talking about?" Risako asked as Liz got up in her face. She didn't like the look in her opponent's eye.

"Ggh... I..."

Liz huffed a bit as she tried to lower her center of gravity, pull in close with Risako as her biceps and triceps bulged up, shoving back against her opponent. She had to give it to her foe, all that MMA had paid off in some respect if she was able to hold her ground against a storied boxer like Liz...

But then again, there was that little ace up her sleeve that Liz liked to keep.

"I... Don't care..." Liz huffed, that devious look only shining brighter as it turned into a full on sadistic little sneer. "About... The rules...!"

And with that, up her knee came, the former-boxed taking the chance of weakening her own balance to try and go for an early-match low blow!

"What are you-" Risako train of thought was cut off by a sudden shift in balance between them. She felt her opponent's stance weaken when she lfted her foot. But Risako didn't get the chance to take advantage of that as her opponent rammed her foot against her pelvic region!

"Argh!" Risako was forced to let go of Liz's hands as she doubled over in pain. The way Liz's foot was positioned meant that Risako's groin could arguably be considered collateral damage rather than the intended target. Of course, it clearly was the intended target and it hurt like a bitch regardless.

"Oooooops~"

Liz tapped a hand atop her head as Risako released her hands and double over in pain, walking along after the other girl with a menacing smile that said that she was anything but regretful over that. "My baaaaad."

"Here, why don't I give you a big hug and say I'm sorry, hmmm?" She asked, reaching out her hands and-

"HEY! I saw that!"

Liz stopped dead in her tracks and stared in disbelief as a referee ducked in between her and her opponent, waving a finger in her face. "I'm warning you - you pull something like that again and it's a penalty-!"

"The hell are you talking about!? I went to kick her and I missed-!"

"Oh like hell you did! I saw the whole thing-!"

"This is ridiculous! Get out of my face! I'm sorry, ok!? Won't happen again!" Liz snapped, getting heated in her exchange with the referee, her temper flaring enough that she didn't even notice as her ill-gotten advantage over her opponent was slipping away!
