Dynasty and Legacy: Kimiko Bando vs Valley Doll III

Unread post by Sigma Morgan »

Standard Match

All standard rules are in effect

Win via pinfall, submission, or knockout

Another week, another match. Kimiko was having a good run in her time as a young lioness, she may have lost her debut against Alizeh Midori but she put on a strong showing even coming close to winning the match. Her second match was another good showing where she managed to win. Her third, another good one. Now it was time for her fourth. Tonight she was facing another woman who also had wrestling in her blood.

Kimiko sat in the hallway backstage and was scrolling through her phone, she was slowly getting used to technology and recently found YouTube and was watching a wide variety of videos. Seeing how she had a few minutes before her match she took the time to watch a five minute video about cats before glancing at the time in the top corner realizing if she procrastinated she would be late and be in trouble. Turning off her phone, she stuck it in her bag and sat her bag on a crate not seeming to be worried or concerned about it being stolen.

Heading to the curtain Kimiko stretched her arms as she walked. She couldn't help but feel a little lonely when she thought about things, she was far from her family in the rural areas of Japan, and she didn't make many friends to hang out with or talk to but she was here to wrestle and she would get used to the feeling eventually right?
Music

That all needed to be out of her mind though as she had a match to get to. Getting to the curtain Kimiko let out a sigh before putting on a smile as her music started up. Giving it a few more seconds until the drums of her music intensified Kimiko then walked out onto the stage, the cheers of the crowd reaching her ears making her smile even more genuine. After a few moments Kimiko began descending the ramp towards the ring giving every fan she could a high five.

Reaching the outside of the ring Kimiko slid under the bottom rope to enter before popping back up to her feet inside and going to her corner. Kimiko stood calmly in her corner, occasionally glancing at the crowd as she waited for her opponent.

Valerie was finishing her stretches as her opponent made her way down to the ring, hanging in the gorilla position, lounging in an area she’d set aside. While she did her best to hide it, putting on her default stoic demeanor and peaceful face, things were different inside. There was more riding on this match than her opponent might have realized.

Valerie's time with LAW so far had been…’mixed’. That was the best word she could think of to describe it. She’d had some victories and good ones, too, coming out on top against the likes of Kyo Akamatsu and El Rey de Ceilo. Both were hard-fought matches that she could be proud of. She was undefeated so far…against men. Things were a little spottier with women, with both of her female opponents getting the better of her. One would think it would be the opposite, with her faring better against other women, especially with her size, but that wasn’t how things pan out.

It wasn’t a big deal; it shouldn’t have been, but it did irk Valerie more than a little. It was a trend that could grow problematic with the mixed division still building up. If she wanted to rise in the LAW ranks, she needed to defeat women. No way around it, and no better than the present to start bucking the trend.

A minute later she was coming through the curtain with a towel on her shoulder, soaking with the sweat she’d just wiped off her face, making her way down to the ring while her
boomed all around her. The crowd was antsy, moreso that usual, and not without reason. This was a collision of two wrestling lineages, a match that many thought would never happen, the sort of thing that always fueled hype.

Valerie pushed that all out of her head. Kimiko was just another opponent. Nothing more, nothing less.

She made her way up the steps, dusted her feet off on the apron, stepped through the ropes and promptly made her way to the center of the ring. Facing towards Kimiko, she brought her hands to her side and gave a solemn bow to her countrywoman.

”Hajimemashite, Kimiko-san.” She straightened up and gave a quick nod. ”Let’s have a good match.”

Kimiko didn't put much thought into this match being a clash of two lineages, her father didn't wrestle long before suffering a career-ending injury, and the lineage was essentially on pause until Kimiko decided to pick up the torch. Sure it was neat fighting another person from a family with a background so similar to hers but it wasn't really at the forefront of her mind.

Kimiko then focused her attention on the ring as Valerie's music started up. Seeing a Blonde woman step out on stage, she was taller than Kimiko and a weight class higher, was a good thing Kimiko was working on her strength with Yumie, it might not have been the greatest yet but she would at least be able to fight back a little better against bigger opponents.

Soon enough the woman joined Kimiko in the ring. Kimiko smiled seeing her fellow countrywoman bow, a favor Kimiko was quick to return after taking one step forward. Kimiko held her bow a few seconds longer than Valerie but it was far from being uncomfortably long. "It is a pleasure to be fighting you Valley" Kimiko would reply to her opponent politely before walking the rest of the way to the center of the ring to stand face to face with the woman.

It might not have seemed like much, but Valerie was glad when Kimiko returned the sign of respect. Back when she wrestled in high school, she’d garnered the occasional odd stare from her opponents when she confronted them, people who didn’t recognize her as a native because of her looks, instead linking her with the country her parents came from and not the one she was born into. She tried not to let it bother her too much, told herself it was no big deal…and it wasn’t. But still.

”Likewise.”

That would do for pleasantries. Valerie crouched down and brought her hands up, preparing herself while she scanned Kimiko, head to toe. She was a lot smaller in the lightweight class, while she herself was just shy of the heavyweights. That was a huge gulf, but she knew better than to let that sort of thing get to her head. The dynasty warrior was about the same size as her mother in her prime, and the previous Valley Doll had managed to take down much bigger women than Valerie. She’d stay on her toes, figuratively and literally.

Valerie began to circle her foe as soon as the bell rang, pacing around the ring with her eyes focused forward, never letting Kimiko off the centerline. She didn’t move in right away, just teased it with a few feints, reaching out and pulling away, trying to get a good gauge for her opponent’s reaction times before she committed.

In a way Kimiko was a bit of an outsider like Valley, born into this country but it didn't look or feel like it. Kimiko of course had Japanese parents but she never saw much of her country or anywhere outside of the temple her family took care of. The city, the wide variety of people, even a phone was still new to her. Kimiko simply nodded hearing Valley's response and with that, it was time for the actual match.

Kimiko did her best to mirror her opponent. The woman was bigger, not the heaviest she ever faced in a spar or in a match, that award would go to her friend Yumie and Ambre Brault. The latter was a handicap match that Yumie ended up doing a lot of the work in. Thankfully, Kimiko took the experience in strides and began to push herself more and more at the gym, something that would hopefully help her out tonight.

As the bell rang the two circled each other and when Valley reached out Kimiko stepped back quickly, a little intimidated by her opponent's size. Kimiko took a deep breath knowing she just had to be brave to have a chance at beating this woman. Stepping back forward Kimiko would study the woman and look for an opening. Thinking quickly Kimiko would raise her leg and swing it at her opponent's leg for a kick before stepping back trying to see what the woman's reaction would be if the kick panned out and if it opened up any more windows of opportunity.

Valerie continued to gather data as the two moved in tandem, already pegging Kimiko as a lighter sort of opponent. She moved in for a fake, but the smaller wrestler was quick to get out of range, steering clear long before she could’ve hypothetically caught her. Good reflexes, but she struck her as a little nervous, as if she was perfectly aware of the strength gap between them and what could occur if Valerie got a hold of her. It wasn’t like she could hide her muscles, so that was expected, but maybe that was something she could use to her advantage, psych her out…

Of course, that was later-down-the-road stuff. In the here and now, she still needed to catch this woman, which wouldn’t be the easiest thing. Valerie moved in once more, but this time she was given a swift kick to the calf for her troubles, one that made her jump back and hop on one foot. Nothing too damaging, but it stung like fire, and she had to take a second to shake her leg and get some feeling back ”Nice, nice.”

More wary this time, Valerie began to circle once more, keeping her distance. She picked up the pace, trying to force Kimiko to hurry in response, only to suddenly change directions and come charging in on her opponent with her arms up, looking to force her into a collar-and-elbow tie-up.

Kimiko was more than aware that if her opponent had muscles like Valerie's or Ambre's they were strong, stronger than her and this time she didn't have Yumie to help her out, a worrying thought but one that needed to be pushed aside, her nervousness wasn't going to do her any favors.

Kimiko's kick connected and she watched as Valley hopped back, it was tempting to rush her now while she was off balance but the Japanese woman hesitated and the opening to do so closed as her opponent shook her leg and regained her balance. Kimiko still weary circled with the blonde watching for any sudden movements, but as she increased her speed to keep up, Valley sprang her trap and lunged for her forcing Kimiko into a grappling situation. "Well... Played" Kimiko said in between grunts as she struggled to avoid being overpowered by her opponent.

Valerie was never going to be all that fast - while she could move in quick, explosive bursts when the occasion called for it, she’d always lacked the speed inherent to lightweights. Fortunately, her brother and both her mothers fell into that category, so it was a body type she was more than accustomed to working against. She could always catch them, sooner or later. This time, it happened to be sooner.

”Thank you.” She acknowledged the compliment as the two locked up, with Valerie’s superior size clearly on display. ”But now…”

Valerie began to push and push hard, bringing out more of her core strength with every step. She surged forward, driving Kimiko towards the turnbuckle, intent on pressing her up against it.

What Kimiko lacked in arm strength she made up for in leg strength and speed but that couldn't help her if her opponent was right on her, forcing her into a lock up that she knew she couldn't win. 'Y-You're... Welcome.... Valley-san" Kimiko replied, the two being extremely polite to one another despite them being in a match but the moment soon went away as the blonde wasted no time demonstrating how those muscles weren't just for show as she quickly overpowered and pushed Kimiko back into a corner pressing her against the turnbuckles.

Kimiko grunted and squirmed trying to get loose and began to desperately kick her legs trying to nail Valley wherever she possibly could in an attempt to force her to back away.

Step after step after step after step, Valerie pushed Kimiko hard towards the ropes, putting her not-inconsiderable power to good use. To her opponent’s credit, she put up a decent fight considering their size, forcing her to use more of her power than she would’ve had to with most lightweights, but at the end of the day, there was no avoiding it. She could absolutely make the smaller woman go wherever she pleased when they locked horns.

The corner was where Valere wanted her to be right now, and that was where she wound up, pressed tight against the pads. The referee moved their way, looking to break them up, but she needn’t have bothered. She had every intention of disengaging from Kimiko.

That didn’t mean she planned on staying disengaged for long, though. Valerie backed away, giving her opponent room to breath, before she grabbed the ropes on both sides of her opponent, ducked down, and pulled forward to ram her shoulder into the smaller woman’s stomach, driving deep into her core and holding her there for a few painful moments.
