Melody Serperior vs "Prism Girl" Anzu Mazaki - 5 Count Match

Unread post by Vc0m »

Winning Conditions: Pinfall, Submission, KO, DQ, Countout
Victory via Pinfall can only be attained via a 5 count

Another week of LAW TV, another match for Melody to fight. And despite still having more losses than wins, Melody was quite optimistic. Maybe summer season was rubbing off on her, maybe it was her drive to win getting better, she didn't know.

As she put on her attire, she couldn't help but find the rules slightly weird. What was wrong with regular 3 count? Thinking about it for a bit, Melody theorized that because of that, the match might go for longer, so it will pad out TV time for a bit. Still, it didn't matter to her. All that meant was she had to hit her foe either harder than usual, or a lot more than usual.

Within 2 minutes, her music played throughout the arena, as she made her entrance down the ramp to the ring, giving as many high fives as she could to the fans in attendance in the process. As she climbed into the ring, she stood in the middle, and did one last bow to the crowd before her music faded.

She took off her entrance attire, leaving her in her usual green sports bra and racer pants. She would do a few stretches with her legs against the turnbuckle as she waited for the "Prism Girl" to come down the ramp.

Anzu was nervous again backstage as she waited to enter the arena again. Anzu had built up a reputation for losing matches time and time again. So even though this wasn't her first match, Anzu was nervous because she was afraid to fail once again in front of the LAW crowd. But she had to focus this could be the match where she breaks her losing streak. This could be her moment in the spotlight. Prism Girl would enter with plenty of fan fare and her magician's outfit but the crowd would cheer for her sure. But when Anzu looked to the crowd she saw signs that pointed out her losing streak. She had to focus this was her time to finally win in LAW. Anzu would look over to her opponent and would extend her hand out as she said. "Hi, I'm Anzu. Let's have a good match." in a show of sportsmanship as she waited for her opponent's response.

As Anzu came out onto the ring apron, Melody heard a lot of positive reaction for the Prism Girl. However, as she went down the ramp, the girl looked, nervous, almost unsure of herself after she glanced at something in the crowd.

Trying to follow her eyes, Melody eventually arrived at the sign in the crowd, reading "Prism Girl: 0-...", not able to make out the last part, but being sure it was a number more than 0...and even 1 or 2. It seemed her soon-to-be opponent had a bit of a losing streak on her hands...

Still, as Anzu entered the ring, the girl was polite enough to offer her hand for a handshake, with determined fire in her eyes, looking to claim her first win in LAW.

And although Melody would've liked Anzu to succeed in her endeavor, she wasn't going to just give her the victory.

She would return the handshake to the Prism Girl while wearing a smile on her face, firmly grabbing her hand and returning the show of sportsmanship: "Wouldn't expect anything less. Love your outfit by the way!"

After the handshake, Melody would simply go to her corner, and await the ring of the bell...

Anzu smiled as she shook her opponent's hand and would respond by saying. "Thanks, your's looks nice too. I love how everything matches." Anzu said with a smile on her face before she'd head off to her corner to do some stretches before the bell rang. Then Anzu would then hear the bell ring and she'd begin to circle the ring looking for an opening. Eventually Anzu would signal for a collar and elbow tie to try and push Melody into the ropes if she could.

With the smiles and pleasentaries done (Melody smiling at Anzu's compliment of her costume), both girls went to their respective corners to await the bell to signal the start of the match.

Circling the ring with Anzu for a bit, the two girls would eventually clash with each other in a collar-and-elbow tie up. She felt Anzu's strength clash with her's, both girls trying to push each other back, but their strength was seemingly matched...

With Melody realising she had to act quick before Anzu would steal the initiative, Melody's arms would quickly go to encircle her opponent's hands for a headlock.

Considering her weakness with applying holds, Melody would immidiately break into a run from her position, only to jump, and land on her rear, while simultaniously trying to drive her opponent's head into the mat with a Running Bulldog!

Anzu didn't have the quickest wit, so when she realized she had even strength with Melody it would be too late for her to stop her from putting in a Side Headlock. Then Melody would fast to run before dropping Anzu face first into the mat with a Running Bulldog. Anzu would hold her face from the pain and would roll on the mat as she tried to get a hold of herself. Anzu definitely needed to work more on her in ring skills if she wanted to be prepared for moves like that or at least be able to endure them better.

Melody smirked as she successfully managed to down Anzu, letting the girl go as she held her face in pain. With the momentum of the match on her side from the start, the green-ette didn't want to lose it for a while.

As such, as she grabbed a hold of Prism Girl's head, she would immidiately trap it under her arm in a facelock, clinching it, and not letting go. Instead, she would start hammering blows into the smaller girl's stomach, sending 3 stiff shots with her knee into her belly!

Anzu defnitely needed to work on her wrestling skills more often than she already was. The most basic yet effective maneuvers and her lack of formal wrestling training made these moves a bigger problem than they needed to be as she was put into a front facelock and would take 3 hard knee strikes to the belly. "Uufgh...Argh...Guh...Let go!!! " Anzu grunted n pain before she'd start throwing punchs to Melody's bely to try and free herself from this predicament.

"GUH!", Melody reacted to the hard punch to her own stomach, letting Anzu go, and staggering back. Despite her strong start, Melody knew she couldn't relax just yet. Even though the Prism Girl didn't exactly have a win to her name, it didn't mean she couldn't get one today.

Holding her hurt stomach, Melody would try and grit her teeth and fight through the pain. She knew that Anzu would still be reeling from her earlier knees. As such, she would run towards the ropes for a rebound, and run back at the Prism Girl, aiming her forearm right at her opponent's head for a clothesline!

Anzu was able to get Melody off her head, giving her a moment of relief. However, that moment wouldn't last long as Melody rebounded off the ropes to charge at Anzu with a Clothesline line leveling Prism Girl down to the mat. "ARGH!!!" Anzu grunted as the hit the mat in pain from the move. Anzu wasn't one to give quickly though, as she'd try to pick Melody's leg with her feet to try and hit a Drop Toe Hold to shift the momentum of the match in her favor.
