Lucy Lincoln vs Emily Nelson - Clipping Angels’ Wings

Unread post by Vc0m »

How quickly things turned around in one’s career. A few weeks ago, the pinkette waited for weeks on end to get her chance to showcase herself on LAW… until she finally had enough, taken out one of her least favourite people in the world, stole her spot in the upcoming Outmatched in Oil tournament… and now, LAW made it their mission to present “The Hammer” Lucy Lincoln as a rising star in their company…

And for her second match, she was facing a Wrestle Angels alumni, a lady quite similar to herself in style… though despite that… Lucy didn’t think much of her opponent.
Entrance Theme

Lucy’s face appeared on the titantron, with the pinkette herself walking up to the entrance ramp with her phone on a selfie stick in hand, waving hello to her stream, and to the crowd. The reaction for her was still mixed. Some cheered her, some jeered her… and right now for Lucy, any reaction was good reaction.

She climbed onto the ring apron, before climbing a nearby turnbuckle, all with her phone in hand as she flexed at the crowd, before waving good-bye to her streaming audience, leaving her selfie stick and phone in a corner.

From there, Lucy would approach the ref, as the official was confused: “Can I help—?”

”Mic.”, Lucy would rudely order the official, as they stepped to the edge of the ring, to pass it onto Lucy:

”Hello, hello, hello, lovely LAW fans! Lucy Lincoln here!”

She paused, letting the reactions come. Cheers, boos, as well as a few “What?” Chants sounded her way, all eliciting laughter from the pinkette.

”I am sorry to disappoint you guys tonight, but today will not be as exciting a match as you want to see. After all, I am facing a discard from a dead company!”

There were little in the way of cheers now. Jeers and even louder “WHAT?” Chants flew her way:

”You heard me! You are not deaf! Wrestle Angels was a failure of a company. I have no clue why LAW decided to showcase wrestlers these bad on your tv screens. You guys really should demand better programing!”

Jeers in the building were in full force towards the pinkette, as she had a faux sad expression on her face:

”Am I wrong? With how much good wrestling there is on tv and internet now, even then you couldn’t give two sh——poops about WA. And what happens now? Women like me wait for months on end for a match, while these… tramps parade around, acting like nothing happened? Like they weren’t at fault that their company died?”

“Well then, listen here, Emily, and every other ex-Wrestle Angel tramp out there. You exploit the name of your dead company to milk these lovely people of their money, when they couldn’t give you the time of day then, and certainly don’t want to give you anything else now!”
, Lucy continued to insult the company and it’s wrestlers, all the while jeers rained upon her…

The crowd was booing now, hurling abuse at the pinkette who had arrogantly walked into the ring and started badmouthing another league-- another, older league that was still near and dear to the hearts of many. What made it all the worse was that Lucy didn't seem to care about the offense she was causing, and it was that arrogance in particular that really annoyed a lot of the fans.

And they weren't alone in feeling that.

"The Wicked Symphony"v=MqYIWGAkNkk&ab_channel=MatijaLazovic by Avantasia suddenly started to play in the background, and the lights suddenly went dim. The crowd burst into cheering at that moment as violet-pink lights flared across the arena, and a familiar face came striding down the ramp, lavender hair swirling behind her. Emily Nelson had arrived, and the Noble Fighter did not look happy.

Fixing an angry glare on the distant Lucy, Emily's focus did not break as she strode down the ramp and rolled into the ring. Hopping right to her feet, she took a few steps towards Lucy and wordlessly held a hand out towards the ref, motioning for the mic, which was meekly surrendered to her.

Emily seemed to be doing a lot to hold back her anger as she spoke. "I don't know about that," she said, as the audience continued to cheer around them. "That didn't sound like people who didn't want to give me the time of day!" She paused, and allowed the audience to cheer even more loudly. "That didn't sound like a crowd that could care less about Wrestle Angels!" She paused, and allowed the crowd to cheer even more loudly, before allowing herself a grim smile. "Sounds to me, luv, like you might have misjudged your audience."

The Noble Fighter edged closer, to allow the difference of height between her and the pinkette to become more obvious as she glared down at her challenger. "But," she went on, "it's bad enough that you insult all these fine people by pretending to speak for them. But to badmouth me, my friends, my enemies...and everyone who put their heart and soul into that old league...that, lassie, I will not stand for." He posh English accent seemed to melt away, and her true Scots accent seemed to become more prominent as she spoke. "If ye wanted me t'come into this match angry...well, ye've gotten what ye wished for."

Lucy meant every word of what she has said. She was spiteful about the company taking so long to book her, so long that she practically had to stalk her archnemesis and jump her to impress LAW officials enough to start booking her into matches. Even if Lucy "put her words in the crowd's mouth" as it were, it felt good to say this outloud...

Especially when she knew that someone was listening.

As Emily made her way to the ring, Lucy gave her rival's stern stare a smirk and a wave in return, feighing ignorace.

As she listened to Emily and the crowd cheer, the smirk didn't leave her lips, even as Emily moved closer to her, getting right into her face with the pinkette simply looking up as the Scottish woman continued speaking, not letting the height difference or her rival's stature humiliate her in appearance:

Putting her mic closer to her lips, she spoke after Emily was finished: "Pick the loudest ones out of the crowd, and you'll realize how little your dumb league mattered. If you are this angry just from me speaking the truth, maybe review the legacy you fallen angels actually had on wrestling", Lucy finished, not budging an inch even as the ref requested to two women to separate to start the match...

Well, Emily thought to herself, she had to give Lucy credit for one thing, she wasn't easily cowed by the height difference between them. Whether that spoke to bravery or arrogance, however, remained to be seen. That being said...the little pinkette didn't relent on her verbal assault, continuing to trash talk Emily, and more importantly Wrestle Angels, right to her face. Fine then, Emily thought to herself, remaining outwardly calm even though inwardly she was seething with anger at this brat's churlishness, I was going to go easy on you, but you've made your bed.

Emily stepped back as the ref girl told them to separate...and then the bell rang. Not taking her glare off of Lucy, she began to circle the lighter girl, motioning for a lockup and remaining wary of any tricks the pinkette might pull...

Having been to a friendly fight club in the uni helped Lucy's body image big time. The club had a ton of women, some slightly shorter than Lucy, but the majority, including some of her best friends, towered over her. And still, more often than not, she beat them.

So now, even a veteran of the ring, a woman of respect like Emily Nelson, didn't intimidate her one bit.

The ref would call for the bell, the two women not separating as Emily proudly outstretched her hand for a lock up, Lucy accepting her hands with no tricks. She had to try and make her point that all the former Wrestle Angels were not all that, as she tried to push against her rival. Though a lightweight, the pinkette prided herself on her strength, and put it to the test against Emily to push her into the ropes!

Emily had been in the ring long enough to know the dirty tricks that brash girls like Lucy could pull. An eye rake, or a stomp on the foot, or a sudden low blow...all were tricks that Emily had been on the receiving end of in the past, and all were tricks that she wouldn't put past some heelish braggart like Lucy. Which was why when Emily finally locked up with the pinkette, she was pleasantly surprised.

There were no tricks. Lucy didn't try any underhanded tactics or clever feints to get out of this test of strength. Instead, she grappled with Emily, openly and honestly...and for the first time, Emily discovered, to her surprise, just how strong this pint sized terror was.

She found herself immediately being pushed back a few steps. She righted herself just in time and leaned into the grapple, clenching her teeth...but little by little, she was forced back. Lucy was a lot stronger than she looked, Emily realized, and no doubt her lower center of gravity helped a lot in that regard.

She felt her back press against the mat, and in an instant, the ref told Lucy to break the hold. If Lucy did so, then Emily would rotate her shoulders and step out of the corner, eyeing her opponent with a little more respect now. "Care to try that again?" she would ask, motioning for another grapple.

Tricks could wait, Lucy believed. It was one thing to just beat your opponent... but it was another to prove them wrong. The look of surprise on Emily's face made the pinkette smirk. She lived to shock people with her strength, lived to put her rivals in their place.

Soon enough, Emily would be cornered, and ref would request a break. Normally, Lucy would utilize this to get a further advantage... but this time, she released Emily clean out of the corner, still smirking at the slight look of respect now coming from her foe.

"Hmmm...why not? I enjoyed putting you in your place...", Lucy would say, slowly approaching Emily, motioning for another grapple:

"But then again..."

Right as she approached the Scot, her arm wound back, as she swiftly drove it through the air, and into her rival's chest for a Knife Edge Chop!

"This is SO much more satisfying!"

Emily was approaching a little more warily now as she backed out of the corner. Now she knew that this girl could put her money where her mouth was: she was fiendishly strong for her size, a fact undoubtedly helped by her lower central of gravity. Emily couldn't rely on strength alone to win this match, she would need wits...and fortunately, she had plenty of ring experience to fall back on.

As Lucy closed the distance, though, she quickly resorted to tricks, suddenly slashing out with a forearm that nailed Emily across the chest! The blow stung. A lot. The impact was enough to make Emily back away for a second, but she never once cried out in pain: she absolutely refused to give Lucy the satisfaction. Instead, giving the crowd an annoyed look, she turned back and lashed out with a forearm of her own, this time delivered with even more force, aiming to chop Lucy across the chest in retaliation!

Even though Lucy got a good level of satisfaction from surprisingly her foes with her freakish strength, once that was gone, strength wasn't too hard to counter in the wrestling ring... which was when her more... devilish side came out.

Then again, Lucy wasn't breaking or even bending the rules. Even if LAW banned closed fists like some companies, this was just a simple Knife Edge Chop. Simple...but effective.

Despite that, Emily kept her mouth shut after the strike. This got a minor look of annoyance on the pinkette. She wasn't a sadist to actively demand her rival screamed... but the satisfaction of knowing she was winning was so sweet nonetheless...

With that, Emily had an opportunity to unleash a chop of her own... an opportunity she gladly took.

"GYAAAAAAAH!!!"

Unlike Emily, Lucy had no reservations about screaming in pain. Hissing as the choppped spot on her chest turned red, Lucy took a deep breath to the best of her ability, trying to keep herself on her feet, trying to motion for another Knife Edge Chop...

...only to instead lift her leg up, as she tried to kick the Wrestle Angel in her gut!

Emily almost smiled as she heard Lucy holler in reaction to her forearm chop. Almost. If nothing else, it showed that she had a lot more self-control than the impulsive pinkette. "What was that about putting me in my place, lass?" she asked, standing tall and proud, and almost theatrically shaking her waving her arm after delivering that blow.

She saw Lucy recover, and tense up, looking like she was coming in to get another blow in this contest of forearm chops...

...only for the other girl's boot to suddenly kick up! Emily went wide eyed as Lucy's boot hammered her hard in the midsection! "OOOOF!" Emily gasped, doubling over from the vicious sneak attack. She breathed hard through clenched teeth as she clutched her hurting gut, momentarily winded and vulnerably to whatever LUcy had planned next...
