The King's Coronation! Bella King (D) vs Melody Seperior

Unread post by pikazard »

Standard match
Victory achieved via Pinfall, Submission or DQ

The woman who calls herself the King wore a nervous smile as she stood backstage awaiting her LAW debut. While it excited her to have finally entered the big leagues after two years of knocking around losers back home she was also nervous at having to go to a whole new country to compete, leaving behind her home and all her fans. Would the LAW fanbase accept the Brit and all her eccentricities, or would she fail to catch their intention and be rejected? While Bella knew herself to be the best she was aware that not everyone saw her that way, so it was important that she uses this match to prove herself to the LAW fans.

At the very least LAW seemed to recognise how important it was that this match be a good one since they deemed fit to give her a good opponent for her debut; Melody Serperior. Bella found it appropriate that they celebrated the new arrival of the King with a woman who has been a member of LAW since the beginning. Not only that but apparently she was also a striker like Bella, which was perfect since it gave her a chance to prove that she was one of the top strikers in LAW. Yes, as far as Bella was concerned this was a perfect debut for her! Of course this was assuming that everything went her way and she dominated Melody, but in Bella's mind there was no way she wouldn't! It was simply impossible!

That's why despite her worries she was able to wipe the nervousness from her face, grinning from ear to ear as she readied herself to appear before LAW for the first time! Once her entrance theme hit Bella would walk out from the Gorilla Position, stopping at the top of the ramp to give the audience a chance to lay eyes on her for the first time, throwing her arms out and puffing out her chest. Based on the cheers that followed it seemed as if they liked what they saw, even if it was just out of approval for the redhead's body and good looks.

After that she would make her way to the ring, walking down the ramp like she was walking down a catwalk, exuding confidence with each step as she made her way down slowly and deliberately. As she got to ringside she would pick out a ring assistant and exchange a few words before sending them off on some task while Bella climbed into the ring. For a few moments she would make a show of parading around the ring and showing off her buxom body before the ring assistant returned with a microphone, handing it off to Bella who would do a quick sound-check before bringing it up to her lips.

As she spoke the redhead's voice would have a haughty tone to it, her words brimming with the arrogance of one you would expect from someone who named herself a monarch "Greetings LAW! As the announcer no doubt told you I am Bella King, but you will refer to me as 'The King'! To those of you who are ignorant to my greatness that might seem presumptuous or arrogant, but I assure you that it is a factual assessment of my abilities. Don't just take me at my word however, I fully intend to prove it to you over the course of my next few matches! Soon not only you viewers, but all the men and women of LAW will come to accept me as your king!"

As entertaining as Bella's speech was in a befuddling way it was not appreciated backstage, as the redhead purposefully extended her speech so that it ate into the time intended for Melody's entrance. With a smirk on her face Bella would gesture towards the opening ramp "But I cannot prove anything without an opponent to dominate and make an example of, so without further ado I'd like to introduce my opponent for the night; Melody Serperior!" With that she would lower the microphone, striking a self satisfied smile at the way she took charge of things, though she would likely be punished for this later. But that didn't matter now, in this moment all Bella cared about was the delayed arrival of her opponent.

Melody returned from her hiatus, actually managing to meet Clara on her flight back to Japan.

After fighting with Navi, and despite her victory at the PPV, she couldn't find too many opportunities to show herself on LAW TV, being mostly relegated to house shows. With company realizing that they didn't have plans for Melody, especially since Navi wanted to get away from wrestling, as well as Japan, as far as she could (Navi not knowing where her, now former, best friend disappeared to), the greenette took a leave of absence from LAW. She took a reduced salary, which was meant as an encouragement for her to get better for when she would eventually come back to the company. In the meantime, she was free to wonder the world, and try to hone her craft, to get much better to show the LAW audience what she had to her.

And finally, here she was, back again at Monday Night LAW.

She made her peace with not talking to Navi in over a year. She was a singles wrestler from the start. And she was going to find success in singles competition. She treated this as her redebut. LAW fans on twitter were mixed on the match happening, more than a few not remembering Melody being one of the original people who joined the company.

She has heard what Bella King had to say about her while standing in the gorilla position. No chance that she was going to let herself be dominated so easily. Newbie or no, she was pulling "the King" off her throne.

Her regular theme song played on the speakers as she made her way down the ramp, wearing her usual entrance attire - Jacket, shirt hiding her green sports bra, and long pants. The crowd reaction was positive, but nothing too much. They definitely forgot one of LAW's originals, and it was her duty to remind them.

She passed by the commentary table, and grabbed a microphone from the table, wearing a fierce look on her eyes as she entered the ring.

"I'll keep it brief. If you think you are going to dominate me tonight? I am not just taking your crown, I am taking your head off."

The greenette, angry from all the failure that has happened to her, through no fault but her own, was determined to take her career...her life on track with the win in this match.

She stood in her corner, taking off her jacket and shirt, leaving her in a green sports bra, awaiting the ringing of a bell.

As Melody made her delayed entrance she had a fierce look on her face, clearly bothered by Bella's grandstanding and her declaration that she would dominate her. The greenette had other reasons, but Bella did not know about them so the vain woman would fill the blanks by deciding that she alone was the reason for Melody's ire, which put a grin on her face. Melody would then snatch a microphone and finally address Bella up close, and even though her words were threatening Bella couldn't help but chuckle slightly under her breath; she had travelled halfway across the world to face new opponents, and here she was facing off against a fellow Brit in her debut match "Taking my head? I believe it's the King who makes such decrees!" She would then jab her thumb against her chest to emphasise her point before speaking again "And that's me!"

Regardless of whether or not Melody had anything to say to that eventually the bell would ring to mark the start of the match, Bella would confidently strut from her corner before getting into a karate stance and slowly advance towards Melody. Once she got close enough Bella would step in and throw out a few jabs to test Melody's defences, forgoing a more traditional lock-up or test of strength for an opening move that would look more at home in a boxing match or a martial arts competition.

Still angry and unimpressed with her foe, Melody would go for one last quip at Bella: "Then prepare to write your final one..."

With that, Melody stepped towards her corner, until the bell finally rung to start the match, Melody getting in her usual fighting stance while Bella took a karate one. Slowly, the two women closed the distance between one another. The greenette might've been angry, but she maintained a cool enough head to stick to a game plan as the match started up.

As Bella threw a few jabs her way, Melody accidentally let the first one through, though managed to lift her hand up to block the next upcoming strikes from the King. In return, Melody attempted to launch an uppercut right underneath the redhead's jaw!

With the bell finally ringing and the match getting off to a start Bella would slowly approach Melody with her fists raised, throwing out a few jabs to see what exactly the greenette was made of. The first strike got past her defences and struck her cleanly in the face, but with all the power Bella had put into it that punch was little more than a warning shot, and the others were easily repelled. Melody seemed to be tired of just blocking punches though and would come back with one of her own, Bella saw it coming and would step back to avoid it but she wasn't able to dodge it completely so it clipped her chin. Bella wasn't too hurt by the blow since it only partially landed but it did disrupt the redhead's balance, leaving her stumbling back and giving her opponent an ample opportunity to follow up on her assault.

The fist didn't fully collide with Bella's chin, but it did partially land, the redhead losing her balance. Melody would swiftly move in, trying to follow up her attack with a hard kick to her rival's side, hoping the blow would be enough for Bella to completely lose balance for her to fall onto the canvas!

With Bella left stumbling back from the uppercut that scratched her chin Melody would move in to deliver her next attack unopposed, swinging her leg for a kick to Bella side "Ugh!" Bella's already compromised footing completely failed her as she was unable to stay on her feet and was toppled over to the side by Melody's kick, leaving the King crumpled on her side in a rather undignified manner while Melody stood over her. Not the greatest start in the world for a LAW debut.

With her attacks forcing Bella to crumple, Melody would confidently smirk, grasping her rival's red ponytail to get her back to her feet, as she wrapped her arm around her head, and grabbed a firm hold of her leotard, before trying to lift her rival up into the air for a classic Vertical Suplex!

It may not have been too much of an exaggeration to say that the lesser talents Bella had been facing in the wrestling indies of the United Kingdom had somewhat spoiled the woman, who was used to facing opponents that were by far her lesser that couldn't stop her from dishing out domination. In comparison LAW housed a much greater quality when it came to it's wrestling talent, something that Melody was proving as she outperformed the King in a brief clash of strikes and knocked her down to the mat.

This left the redhead quite shocked to say the least, shock which would leave her a sitting duck for Melody to yank up by the ponytail and set up for a suplex "Wah!?! Unhand me at once!!!" The King would demand. In the very likely event that Melody did not give in to her demands Bella would be hoisted up and consequently brought back down for a Vertical Suplex to the mat "Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!" Bella cried out in agony, her back arching as she tried desperately to soothe the newfound pain in her spine. Melody seemed to be out to prove that the dominant debut Bella had been hoping for was just a fantasy.

Continuing to feel the chip on her shoulder, Melody was determined to not let this match to just be a way to prop up a fresh debutee. If Bella wanted to win this, she would have to be better than Melody at her best and angriest.

With the King drilled to the canvas with a hard suplex, Melody took off for nearby ropes to jump on to the second rope...before hopping off it and flipping, aiming her body for Bella's for a Springboard Moonsault!
